Gender Identity and The Black Church

TheBassSisters

The Bass Sisters celebrate the 113 Anniversary of the A.M.E. Church founded in 1909 by Richard Allen.  He and his wife Sarah BASS Allen believed in teaching and preaching the Gospel.

The Bass Sisters believe that Black Church has always been the conscience and backbone of the Black Community.  The Civil Rights movement was a success because of the moral direction that the Black Church provided.  The Black Church rightly speaks out on issues of racial inequality, social justice and poverty.  But what about issues of abortion, gender identity, sexuality, parental rights, and religious liberties, is there silence?  Should there be?
