As always, we have included a "closing hymn" for this mini-solo episode. This week we have Pastor Troy, with his stirring song, "Lyin' Bout Her Crib." His music offers more than just beats and rhythm, it tells stories that mirror real-life experiences. As we wrap up, remember the powerful ethos of Pastor Troy, he doesn't write raps, he narrates short stories. So, tune in and let the raw, soulful energy of Pastor Troy's music and storytelling captivate you.

Intro song on this episode is entitled "Tinder Bit" by Lee Carleton Smith.

Thank you so much for your continued love and support!

Speaker 1:

Oh no, gaby, take a phone ride. No, you got a share. Riding cold tails, see, that ain't my way of life. So I hopped up off the porch in the middle of the night All respect to Steve, that aint the slightest slight. It was time for me to leave. Already Knew that he was right when he said Hit the door, grabbed my shit up off the floor and I put it down the road and I kept it down low. I felt abandoned and alone on that, a ball of stone With nowhere to turn, cause I had to leave home. So I moved up north and went back to school, started lining up my ducks, quit acting the fool.

Speaker 1:

Seven months later I was making the move Down to New Orleans where I found you. And now we hit together and we talkin' bout forever. Only known you for three months and, girl, we met on Tinder. I ain't your baby daddy and her birthday in December. Having said all that, i'ma leave your ass where it's at. Hoping snow. Hard feelings.

Speaker 1:

It was good while it lasted, glad you found a man and your child's not a bastard. Better him than me. I shoulda ran away faster, but you felt like home. Yo mama did you wrong, treated you like shit, girl. You barely had a chance. I'm happy you survived and I hope you understand we can't see each other, but I'll be your biggest fan. I gots to move on without you in my plans. You cried and you screamed when I cut you off and it cut me down deep to watch you drive off.

Speaker 1:

Had to do what's best for me and you baby girl. She got attached to me and it fucked up my world. I didn't know who I was and I was broke as a joke, only 24, livin' on a prayer and some hope, and tried my best to not smoke dope. You thought I was the one from the jump and it showed. Your daughter said she loved me, she was three years old. You followed her lead. Then I knew I had to go, chased my dreams, seen new things, not get caught stuck in between A beautiful woman and her three year old girl, cause I knew damn well I couldn't give y'all the world. So I packed my bags. Then I left the city and I blocked you on my phone. That didn't sit well with me. So I called up my dog and he said he didn't feel me, said play or move on.

Speaker 1:

Get the fuck up at your fillers. You got a pimp strong. Fuck a hoe and chase a milli. Don't fall in love and guard your fillers. Get some blue benches and a coupe with no sillet and a watch on your wrist with some ice tag. Listen, i'ma put you on game. Just take notes and listen. You learned your lesson. Don't chase a hoe with children. Oh, so red, get me to the front run.

Speaker 2:

And welcome back to the County Line. It is the one and only Lee Carl coming through and this is a strictly housekeeping episode. We're going to keep this short and sweet so you all can move on about your business. There's just a few things that I want to go over with the County Line congregation real quick. The first thing whichever podcast app you are currently listening to this on, I want you to stop what you are doing and rate, review and subscribe Okay. So what that means is there's particularly if you are in Spotify or Apple podcasts there's going to be a star on the episode or County Line podcast page. Click the star and don't be a bitch. Give us five stars. Anything less than five stars, you're being a bitch and you know that, and then you're going to have to look at yourself in the mirror If you give us less than five stars. You got to live with yourself and you're going to have to try to go to sleep tonight after not giving the County Line five stars. So that's the first thing. That is rating the podcast. Give us five stars. That is rating, okay. The next thing is leave a positive, impactful review of the County line podcast. That means you will click review on the podcast page, within whichever app you're on, and then you will type in how you feel about the County line podcast. Again, the don't be a bitch rule applies here too. Okay, don't be a bitch, give us a good review. Okay, so we've rated and we've reviewed.

Speaker 2:

Now the final straw is let's subscribe to the County line podcast. If you have not done so, simply go to the County line podcast home page within your podcast app, particularly Spotify or Apple, and subscribe to the County line podcast. Now, what that means is, if you're not familiar, you will receive notifications from your podcasting app whenever new content is submitted by the County line to that page. So you'll receive a notification. All of these three things rating, reviewing, subscribing to the County line podcast. It simply amplifies the exposure that the County line receives within these apps. Right, so it makes it more discoverable. It's. If you're familiar with search engine optimization. All it means is it makes it easier for the County line to be discovered online, and that really, really helps for those of you those of you that are not familiar with how the technology of podcasting works or just sharing things online in general. The more it is shared, the more it is talked about, much like in regular life, the more easily it is discovered and the more readily it is exposed.

Speaker 2:

All right, the next order of business is Patreon. So stop what you're doing right here right now. And if you really want to help the County line and support it and ensure that it continues to grow and prosper, go to patreoncom forward slash County line podcast. Or you can simply just go to patreoncom and then in the search bar type in County line podcast, the County line Lee Smith. Any of these things will take you to the County line podcast Patreon page. Once you are on the County line podcast Patreon page, there's going to be an option button that reads quote become a member. If you click this. When you click this to become a member and you sign up, it's there's a tier $5 tier and it's basically a subscription. With this $5 monthly subscription you will receive early access to solo episodes, additional exclusive content and a County line t-shirt, and I can get all that. I can see when people sign up for Patreon and become a member of Patreon and so generously give their five hard earned dollars per month, so I can then reach out to you and get your t-shirt size and I can send it to you in the mail. So let's do that. That is very important. That is very important to ensure that the county line continues to operate and do the things that we wanna do to give you all the content that you want.

Speaker 2:

The last order of housekeeping, before I give you all the clothes and him, is YouTube. So we do have a YouTube channel. Go to youtubecom forward slash at the county line podcast. Again, that's youtubecom. At youtubecom, forward slash at the county line podcast. Most of you listening to this are gonna be very familiar with YouTube. Y'all know how to navigate YouTube, subscribe and share. Subscribe to the YouTube channel Again. Once you subscribe and share on all of these platforms, it's going to make the county line more discoverable in the virtual world. You know we're still trying. We're doing better, but we're still trying to gain presence and notoriety online and we're doing well. Y'all are doing a wonderful job, your county line congregation. Y'all are doing a fantastic job, fantastic job and I greatly appreciate it as the leader of the county line congregation.

Speaker 2:

Three things to wrap up. First thing is within your podcast app, whether it be Spotify or Apple podcast, subscribe to the podcast. That's the first thing. Rate the podcast. Give us five stars or you will be considered a little biatch. Review the podcast, tell us what you think. Tell us what you think, keep it all the way 100. Subscribe rate review within your podcast app. Next thing Patreon. Go to patreoncom forward slash.

Speaker 2:

From the bottom of my heart, I just want to tell you I appreciate all the support, all the love, really and truly, that everyone in the county line congregation community continues to show. This thing is growing and we are doing bigger and better things with each passing week, but we can't do that without your help. You make this go at the end of the day. You make this go, we can create the content, we can get it to you and then part of your job, in addition to enjoying the content is sharing the content and it's greatly appreciated. We love y'all very much here at the county line.

Speaker 2:

We want y'all to stay around with us and without further ado, let me give you the closing him for this week. Please rise as we welcome pastor Troy. Line about her crib is the closing him for this week. Title of the song line about her crib that is L Y I in apostrophe B O U T H E R C R I B. Line by her crib. In the words of pastor Troy, he says he don't write raps, he writes your stories. And with that I'm going to leave the county line congregation with pastor Troy lying by her crib until next time. It's your boy, liko. Thank you.
