Mostly Mindful for Teens and Tweens
Dealing with Emotions
Show Notes

The movie Inside and Out is an amazing analogy that helps us picture our inner characters. Who is in control? Anger, Sad , Disgust, Joy, Fear.
We apply the Buddhist concept of "Right View" to help with difficult emotions.
1- Name it to tame it
2- Get into felt experience of the emotion - what does the emotion feel like in your body?
3- Shift from "I am" to "Is" - "I am anxious" shifts to " Anxiety is here"

We learn to relax the nervous system in the meditation session.
