It's a new music show (mostly) hosted by 20-year WBCN veteran dj Shred. We believe we need to keep moving forward with what we listen to and want to share our musical findings with as many folks as we possibly can, because we feel the bands we play should be more widely heard like it used to happen when a band was giving airplay on the local radio station. We are creeping close to 100 episodes of this weekly recorded since August 2023 new music podcast called The Broken Cassette Player, hosted by dj Shred, who spent 20 years of his life on-air at WBCN and 4 doing college radio at WERS. So we have had some fun and it continues here online for under 20 minutes of your running time, so as to not really bother what you do, but more to enhance it. This "week" (it took us some time this go) we have 5 absolute must-listens: a new tune by THE BLACK KEYS, BAD SUNS, WORLD'S GREATEST DAD, ANNA SHOEMAKER and NESSA BARRETT.
