Basia's Thoughts is a podcast about what lies underneath things.
I follow patterns and unexpected connections through psychology, Bioenergetics, relationships, systems, consciousness, spirituality and non-duality (Advaita Vedanta) — from how our personalities are formed to what remains when we look beyond the person altogether.
Why do we react the way we do? What structures quietly shape our lives? What do meaning, beauty, love and awareness point toward? And can ideas from very different fields illuminate one another?
There are no tidy five-step answers here. Instead, I think out loud, question what seems obvious, and see whether looking one layer deeper leads us somewhere interesting.
Take this journey with me and with your questions and comments we will tread forth together, attempting to make sense of it all, or at least some of it. :)

In this episode I talk about some recent experiences I have had of letting go and how they have affected me. I talk about the magical power of the word “if” and how it can allow us to move beyond what was possible. We also discuss how our programs self-perpetuate and how we sometimes can decide what to run. We look at the basics of emotional surfing.
Then, we go onto finding the wisest version of ourselves and pay attention to what the wisest voice sounds like. Winnie the Pooh comes up and the idea that something that is limited is defined and by releasing our focus on the confinement we can allow for expansion and creation.
