Our guest today is Tony Riddle: the natural lifestylist. On the 29th of August he sets off to complete the ‘3 Bare Peaks’ Challenge, which involves summiting the UK's three highest peaks: Snowdon, Scafell Pike, and Ben Nevis whilst BAREFOOT, as well as running the 400+ miles of unnatural tarmac between them in his Vivobarefoot footwear. In this episode, Emma is joined by Vivobarefoot’s Health and Wellbeing lead, Fergus, to discuss Tony’s perception of endurance, the lessons that can be learned from it, and the reasons why he is taking on such a challenge for Survival International. Alongside highlighting the crucial role that indigenous people play in protecting our ecosystem, Tony explores the concept of trauma, and how it influences all of our lives, whilst discussing some of the methods that he utilises to downregulate, and better serve our basic human needs.
