In this edition of Talk Show Natalie interviews Luke Trigona a young lawyer, originally from Malta but now living in London where he is one of the country’s top 35 lawyers under the age of 35. In this except we hear Natalie asking Luke about the biggest challenge Luke faced coming to live and work in the UK , but before she asks him about his favourite sports…
Natalie:
Okay. All right. And well so I have one more question. Let's see. Oh, somebody says, uh, because you mentioned you do sport, so what sports is it that you like doing yourself?
Luke:
Um, I'm a big football fan and I enjoy playing football. So we've got a five-a-side football team here in London. And, um, it's actually sort of with my friends from university 10 years ago, so we've really kept it up and there are lots of different leagues and um, and most importantly after every game we head to the pub for a few beers as well. So, um, it's, it's, it's both a sport and social thing, um, which is quite fun. Mmm. And then I do enjoy watching other sports. I especially sort of when when the rugby is on and Wimbledon and then F1. Um, but anything that's broadcast, which is why I'm dying for sports to be broadcast again after isolation. Oh really? I am missing it. I'm getting some slight withdrawal symptoms
Natalie:
Yeah. Okay. All right, well we're going to do a little test for the viewers now, so I'm going to put another little poll up asking a question. Let's see if you were listening. Mmm. Let me just go see. Right. Okay. So I'll read the question. It was what was the biggest challenge Luke faced when he moved to the UK? We've got improving his English, Getting used to the weather, Getting used to the food or Being away from his family. Okay. So I'm going to finish the voting now and it was uh, improving his English and that was the right answer, wasn't it?
Luke:
Yeah, absolutely right.
So Luke’s biggest challenge was improving his English, somehting we’re keen to help with at Perfectly Spoken .
