WHO AM I? | Wake N' Make ep. 1
I am, VELKO ILIEV TUHCHIEV, born in Plovdiv and raised in Panagiurishte. That’s where my boiling blood and revolutionary traits come from.
Around the age of 2 or 3 years old, I looked up at the sky and I asked WHO AM I? WHAT IS THIS? HOW DID WE GET HERE? SO I’ve been puzzled with these answers since the first conscious moment I remember.
When I was a child, I really wanted to be a soccer player. Then I wanted to be an actor, then I started learning LAW. But, my biggest dream was to one day live in the USA.
After graduating high school, I got accepted into the university where they made a program available for students to work and travel to the USA. I saw this as my opportunity and I got on the plane with no intention of coming back.
I came to USA in May of 2004, I was 19 years old, started working at a Tahoe motel in Lake George, NY as a plunger boy, then got promoted to a garbage boy, maintenance, then I got a second job as a dishwasher and got promoted to busboy, banquet set up, waiter, bartender.
I moved to Florida in the winter of 2005, lived in Bonita Springs, lived there only for a year and moved to Chicago in 2006.
I started as a bartender in Chicago and by 2007 many clients suggested that I get into sales.
I started as a life insurance agent at the age of 21, but did not like soliciting people.
I loved sales though. So I got into car sales.
Today is January 31st.
The last car I sold as a dealership employee was on January 31st 2015.
I started Velko Academy On February 1st 2015.
There is something about this date, January 31st. It’s the day of ending a season.
Now I’m starting a new season to lead people from transactional mindset to relational. To heal people from depression, self-sabotage, imposter syndrome, anxiety and limited beliefs and help them become the elite version of themselves and find their true purpose.
To liberate businesses from transactional business models to relational ones.
