Christian Stickl: From Private Hand to Private Equity - A CEO's Perspective
This week in Season 2 Ep.8, Oliver Morgan is joined by Christian Stickl to talk about the movement of ownership from private hand to private equity from the perspective of an incoming CEO.
Christian has over 18 years of international experience working in multinational corporations, including Hewlett Packard and Danaher. He spent over eighteen months living in America, has overseen factories in China, and has recently had four appointments as CEO when a business has gone through a transition of ownership.
He recently exited Kappa Optronics - a private equity-backed manufacturer of high-end vision systems - and in this discussion, he gives some valuable insights into some of the initial challenges CEOs face, such as poor customer retention, or technical developments, and cash flow management. He also takes us through the importance of many other important parts of an incoming CEO's role, including managing shareholder expectations, good strategy, deployment, the leadership team involved, as well as some low hanging fruit.
