In Episode #35, we chat with attorney Alex Corbin. Alex walks us through some of the early processes the Department of Education took in order to respond to the pandemic in Spring 2020. He discusses what some of these adjustments were as well as how they affected students, especially those who use special education services as well as children in the custody of Division of Family Services. Alex discusses how Delaware's Department of Education and various school districts planned for the school year of 2020-2021 and make adjustments to "normal" school life. He also discusses some of the resources and technologies that were employed to assist students, staff, and administrators. Finally, in our chat we discuss some lessons moving forward and what positives have come out of the pandemic, especially ways that we've learned to use technology that might be beneficial moving forward.
