After copious amounts of Bernie memes were created on Inauguration Day, we thought it was time to dive into art and the internet. This week, we're talking about the origins of memes, GIFs, and TikToks, and how all three mediums have direct ties to art history. Were artists like Duchamp and Man Ray the original meme makers? And do artists like Jenner Holzer and Barbara Kruger work in memes? After the GameStop news broke, we're also discussing the implications big money has on small creators.
