Dawn Garzon Maaks has over 20 years’ experience as an academic and almost 30 years in nursing. She holds a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Miami, Florida, a master of science with a specialty as a pediatric primary care nurse practitioner from the University of Florida, and a Ph.D. in nursing from the University of Missouri, St. Louis. During her post-doctoral training, she obtained a master’s in psychiatric epidemiology from Washington University in St. Louis.
This insightful conversation took us down memory lane. I first met Dawn at our HighSchool Youth Group New Life, in Miami Florida. Dawn is insightful, passionate, and has strong convictions, just like me. She shared tips on how to support our children at home during the COVID19 Crisis. We covered so much ground while we spoke.
