We live in a world where we have lived entirely different lives from the one we are living.

At Casa DeConfidence, we want to share the stories of others of different backgrounds and lives.

We aim that by sharing diverse cultures and individuals, we can appreciate the commonalities that make us more similar. After all, we are all part of the human race.

In this episode, I address the sensitive matter of Rachel Hollis and how she has been in the news lately for her social media videos and the backlash it soon followed.

I felt I needed to be transparent with how I think about this topic. As many of you know, I have been a follower of Rachel Hollins and have even been a part of her latest Book Launch Team. As a woman of color, I cannot be silent and fail to address my feelings on the matter.

My sentiments on this matter run deep and have many levels. The RH matter also leads me to address Lee McMillan's death, a beautiful young woman I have followed on Social Media for a long time.

Tragically Lee took her own life in late March. Lee, like so many, had been suffering from depression and shared a heartfelt video regarding her struggle. I shared this because it is so important that we remember that WORDS matter in our current times.

What we say, even if it behind the screen, can have an impact. If you have words to give, remember to be uplifting, and if you must hold someone accountable, do it from a place of truth and let kindness be your guide. This post contains some sensitive subject matter.
