"
SINCE I FIRST STARTED THIS PODCAST, I HAVE WANTED TO SHARE THIS STORY-THE STORY OF HOW A  LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT TEAMED UP WITH THEIR FIRE UNION AND MADE AN IMPACT ON LOCAL AREA GOVERNMENT LEADERS AND THE MEDIA.  HONESTLY, I WAS IMPRESSED BECAUSE I WAS THERE.   AT THE TIME I WAS IN MANAGEMENT AT A LOCAL TELEVISION NEWS STATION. BUT WHEN I HEARD ABOUT DOING A STORY INVOLVING FIREFIGHTERS AND FIRE,  I TOOK OFF MY SUIT, PUT ON MY TURNOUTS, AND WITH CAMERA IN HAND, I FILMED AND EXPERIENCED THE "FIRE OPS 101" HOSTED BY THE CARBONDALE FIRE DEPARTMENT IN CARBONDALE, ILLINOIS."
