Henry Druce is a Dad, Husband, Skier, Mountain Biker and freelance journalist. He is the former Ski and Snowboard editor for The Telegraph and The Telegraph Ski & Snowboard Magazine.
For nearly 20 years, Henry worked in what many - himself included - saw as a dream job. Travelling to ski resorts around the globe, hosting trips and being seen as the figurehead of the UK's best known snowsports magazine, he was an institution in the industry. However, three years ago that dream started to unravel - and last October, Henry walked out of his office and never went back. Diagnosed with depression and burnout, he was forced to re-think everything he had worked so hard to build.
In this episode, Henry shares his story about the reality of living a "dream life", what caused it to come crashing down and how, with the support of family and friends, he has managed to find his way forward to living life on his own terms.
This episode is released in support of World Mental Health Day on Saturday 10 Oct 2020.
