Ané:

before trying to make all these tangible to do's. Let's just leave, take one step at a time. And just see what happens

Stacey:

taking that leap and we're trusting that we're going to be supported in that leap

Ané:

hello everyone. And welcome to another episode of trusting the universe and shit. Of course it is the Stacy and I,

Stacey:

Hello, everyone.

Ané:

And today we wanted to do a bit of a rapid episode because Firstly, we have a lot of other things, but also because we in this kind of transition period, Stacey and I, and we've just been talking about The different versions of us and how, if you even look at your archives, how different you are every day, but also in a longer period of time. And so we're just wanting to give this more of a reflective episode where take the opportunity to, you know, get cozy and maybe ask yourself these questions too, where, sort of in this, birthing process or period where you're just about to break a new bubble, break a new level, which we've just recently spoke about an episode on, you know, meeting that edge and, and creating a bigger capacity on your bubbles, something along those lines, you'll find the title, but definitely go listen to that episode and then come back to these reflective questions. And Yeah. that's the episode that we want to sort of initiate with.

Stacey:

Yeah. I'll also have to apologize quickly for my voice because I've been sick and I've been in a full page. So I do sound pretty nasally, but it's clearing and it's almost gone. Yeah. So we wanted to talk about how, you know, how, when a caterpillar goes into the Chrysalis, They completely turn into goo. And they turn into mush. And I feel like when you have a cold, you feel like that because you feel like it's so coming out of you, it's all. Expelling out of your body and you come out the other side and you feel like you are going through this transition. And when I look back on old memories that pop up. You know, you have on Instagram, you have the little memories that pop up and it's like, this was today six years ago. And sometimes it's triggering sometimes it's oh my gosh. That was me six years ago. That's what I was doing. That version of me. It feels so different to the version of me today. The version of me from yesterday. And so I've been reflecting on yeah. These thousands of versions of self. That we transitioned through over the years, over the months, and even day to day, moment to moment. Those versions of us change. I wanted to talk about all of that today.

Ané:

And it's so perfect. Obviously, you're going through a purge and you're going through this sort of little cellular, Transition or purging the old to get into the new and that's a perfect sort of perfect moment to see when, you know, I, I know when I get sick, it's like, oh, okay, like my body is actually literally ready to evolve, and grow. I love that you mentioned about the different versions of self because. I think there's, there's so many different timelines that we could always jump to, but it takes a bit of initiation and sort of unapologetically just like ready to leap into that, which takes a lot of courage is actually the word I'm trying to get there we go courage to do so. And sometimes we have to just reflect a little bit on the versions you've been before, in order to step into the new and this is where I've been sort of feeling into the business piece as well the Business manager two, three years ago, it's a whole different person now. She was very much rigid, very much in the hurry, very much, you know, just trying to prove she can do it. And now two, three years later, it doesn't seem like a lot of time, but I'm much more, I guess, walking more on the feminine side of business management. And Honoring this sort of art and body expansion rather than from the mind. And so, yeah, I guess, you know, what's something that you have noticed has shifted for you.

Stacey:

I feel like the shifts can be so frequent. That sometimes I look back a week ago and I feel so different to the version of myself from even then. And the version of myself from six years ago is. Completely unrecognizable. So even though you're saying three years, isn't that long, I feel like a life lifetimes can occur. In a couple of years time and. I feel like the changes that I've noticed Really letting go of things easier. Not needing to necessarily control so much. I don't know. I just kind of going through life and allowing opportunities to open up for me rather than forcing everything so much and just sort of stepping into things and saying to myself, okay, well, let's just see where this is going to lead. Let's just follow it and see what happens. let's not worry about so much when things go wrong. So, for example, we're starting up a new business doing videography. And while I could have gone. Okay. I'm just going to get everything perfect. I'm going to get more gear. I'm going to spend more money. I'm going to invest more. I'm going to do more training. Nah, let's just do it. Let's just go and do it, you know, and then I know that as soon as I begin, I'm going to start and then, you know, you remove all of that. Having to have all the gear, having to be perfect at it before I'm going to start, because I know that every single project I have. It's just going to keep improving. So this mindset of I'm going to just continue improving. And just allowing life to carry me along and just sort of seeing what happens is seeing, who talks to who and who recommends us to who Not really feeling like. I have to do things a certain way anymore. Just feel like, Hmm. Let's just see what happens.

Ané:

Yes, I love that. And that's the beauty of evolution is, like you said, starting a journey, you were very much more rigid and like being in control and saying that was sort of my default method. But that's the beauty of growing every week or every year. You'd notice, you know, That those those default methods that don't really serve you start to chip away slowly and surely and now you get to a place where you're more in surrender and you just let things unfold as they should and I can, I totally am in a similar situation with business, you know, I, there's this a Deep calling to do more of the energetic work in the in my space and it's I have no idea how that's going to look. It freaking scares the living shit out of me. But I know if I leave like you do like I know if we just before trying to make all these tangible to do's. Let's just leave, take one step at a time. And just see what happens. And I think that is so, it's so beautiful to be in that space. Cause I remember many years ago, really not understanding that. Like, what do you mean? You're just not, you don't have it. You know, and now looking back, I'm like, Oh, wow. I see what people back then would say about this. And being in that same space is very, it's liberating. It's a very liberating feeling. And, you're not there, I would highly, highly suggest, you thought to do practices every day to get yourself in a surrendered state. Maybe it's breath work. Maybe it's going for a run, you know, having a little goal and That breath work or that run turns into, I'm going to leap for that business. I'm going to start that project, you know, and that capacity grows, like we mentioned in the other episode. But I think me and you both are in this gooey stage with the Caterpillar. Like we're kind of like, I don't know what's going to transform out of this, but it's gooey, it's at least warm and I'm cozy, but I'm also terrified. And it's just, it's weird. Dance. Isn't it

Stacey:

Yeah. And the other thing is too. I'm moving out of where I've lived for eight years now. I. You know, just made this decision two days ago. And so now I'm thinking about moving from an area, changing so many things about what I'm used to, the way that I'm used to doing everything. And moving. And so that's really scary. But I'm just going to let it go. I'm just going to let go and just see what happens and just let, let it carry me along. Because the other thing too, is that nothing has to be permanent. I think sometimes we think, oh, I'm going to make the take on this new project, or I'm going to change my business in this way. And we think it has to be permanent. You can just try it for a bit and see if you like it. And if not change course, and then you can see which reality you do not prefer. And if you don't prefer the reality that you thought you were going along this route and you go, actually, I hated that. That's what that was for that's it maybe only lasted a few weeks and then you realized, ah, I didn't like that reality. So then you course correct. And then that's all that was sometimes we get in our heads and we think. Oh, but I've, I really wanted to go down this route and I really, th this was, and you push it and push it and push it because other people have told you. So like, for me, starting graphic design was something that a lot of people push me into because of the financial, you know, You, you, you are paid financially well for that, but it wasn't really right for me. And when you listen to other people and they push you into things and you trying to make it work, and you're trying so hard and you're pushing and pushing and pushing, it's very difficult to improve on it because. You don't. You're not, it's not really right for you. You're not, you're not in alignment with it. So it's becomes very difficult and you, you. Grip onto it thinking I have to make this work. I have to make this work. When they could be something else that you're ignoring or that you can't see because you've closed your mind off because you're holding on. So tightly thinking, this has to be the way that I have to do it. But it's not necessarily going to be helpful for you to grip on Tylee to something that you think is the way same goes for when people give you advice on. Business blueprints and templates and things Sometimes that's why it doesn't work because it's not the way that you want your life to be.

Ané:

Yeah. And I think that's literally the difference between the mind and the body and the mind and the heart. It's like the mind is very biased and it's very result focused. Which is fabulous because it also keeps you safe but at the same time, it can be a detriment to your growth and to this self trust belief in I'm going to leave and I'm going to do this. And I have no regulation of this is going to work, but I know in my heart and in my body, this is it. And I actually think as you were speaking, I was like, it's so funny. Whatever your source is, God, universe. I just say, God, it's like. You reap what you sow. We speak on this episode all the time to trust the damn universe. And here we are literally having to do that. And we do it, you know, it comes in waves. Sometimes it's small, sometimes it's big. Right now for both of us, there's big things. I mean, there's literally environments changing for you, you know, and it's kind of okay, let's see how, how willing you are to trust me right now, because this is what you guys preach, you know, So yeah, I just, and I love that You. said about, You know you could always change your mind. You can always course correct. I think that's what we get so stuck in our head about is like, yeah, it's we see the vision. So we're like, it has to be exactly that. But you could be asking for that vision. Multiple ways and it can come to you in multiple ways, but you've got to be open to that. And I think that's where that heart expansion in the body is really more potent than the mind. Otherwise you're going to start burning out or you're going to have all these other negative manifestations happening because you were so rigid in your thought process in the visual. You can always change your mind. And I love that because once you can make that decision and say it's temporary, I can always change my mind. It sort of softens in your body. It softens this intensity of I've got to make a work when it's always working. It just may not be looking like it's working in the direction you thought it was.

Stacey:

taking that leap and we're trusting that the, that we're going to be supported in that leap. And I just felt this huge, Feeling, it feels almost like you're stepping off a cloud into an empty emptiness. You don't what's underneath, you don't know what Scott's going to be like, but you're saying I have faith and I trust and I'm going to jump and I'm going to. Step into that. Big void of, I don't know what I know. And your body's going? No, no, no, no, no, no. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't change. Don't change, keep everything the same, because I know it's safe. I know what it's like, but you never know what's going to be on the other side because you're not allowing the universe to surprise and delight you in that sense. So we have to kind of embrace that feeling sometimes. I'm just going to go and do it anyway. And I think that's where the magic can happen. And if we stay stuck in that mode of don't change anything, don't do anything. We can get stagnation and we don't sometimes we think, well, I don't know why. I don't know why I'm so stuck. But it's probably because we haven't really allowed ourselves to be open enough to look for those new opportunities, the new ways of living, the new ways of thinking of seeing Connecting back to that heart space of right. Let's let's see what the heart wants here. And like you said, the mind, the mind always plays tricks on us and always jumps in. It's like, no, no, no. And it will, it will try and get in there and it will try and make. judgements on things. It will try and use all of your logic points and say, well, you shouldn't do that because of this. You shouldn't do that because of this. But. I think that when we take the right aligned steps that were more supported and that opportunities will open up in a way that may surprise you So I guess the reflection on that is, is there anything in your life that as if you're listening to this. Is there anything in your Lifeway, you'll feeling the coal to something. Or you feel like you need to change your current circumstances? And you're feeling a call to do something. But you're also saying to yourself, I don't want to take that leap just to examine. Is there something there? That you're trying to avoid doing, but you want to do, or you're hearing a call to go do.

Ané:

Definitely. And it's like kind of reverse engineered of like, okay, what kind of support do. I need in order to make that decision or leap into that calling? Cause I think that's one of the quickest ways to. know quickly the type of those, those fears and those doubts and move back into the heart rather than the mind. And that could be literally just a friend hanging out with a friend that could be, listening to podcasts. That could be working with a mentor, doing a short course, whatever it is like right now, I'm actually doing just a quick four week course just to like shake up this feeling of, of living in all these fears of like going for this leap and. Already I feel a little bit lighter to still make that leap because I'm supported, you know, and I have the best support system around me with friends and family, but this is another sort of initiation phase of like strangers seeing me. So I think that that's one of the best ways to help you sort of just move out of this lingo of. Stagnancy. And Yeah. I, I totally agree, you know, ask yourself those questions and then also ask yourself what's underneath that. What is the fear? Because we can't, we can't move past it. If we're not recognized by the shadow, you know, and what is playing out, what patterns are playing out to keep you there? Maybe it's overwork. Maybe it's. Overplay, maybe you're, you know, over socializing too much or whatever. And then you're conveniently exhausted when you want to go take that action or, you know, maybe, I don't know, whatever it is, like really sit with that. And when you do reflect on this, try to come from the heart, breathe in there, feel into it because we can quickly. Jump back into the mind and the mind is going to give you stories. Like, yes, I have a fear because remember that one time I tried to do that and I was So embarrassed, like your mind will try and of course. Keep you safe, lovingly, but it will also keep you stagnant. So I, I love those questions. What's another one I would also find little practices to get you out of those moments, right? Like, like I said, is it a breath work? Is it a journaling every morning? Is it a, you know, for me when I wake up, I, My cortisol, like I get, so I, I kind of go into a bit of a stress mode, so I actually have to unwind to get myself more in a grounded state to take action and come from the heart. So it doesn't work for me if I wake up and I'm doing intense exercise or breath work where I'm like over stimulating my body. I don't, I need to do the polar opposite. I didn't meditate and maybe go for a walk, maybe dance, like more of a playful energy for me in order to leap into that from a, you know, heart expansion place. So find your practices and really You know, be consistent with that. Yeah,

Stacey:

Yeah. Yeah. So here are some other practices that you might consider. Always getting into water helps me. Whether that's going down to the local pool or just having a shower, even because if, if you don't have any resources right now, Sometimes I just will have a shower and that will help. So yeah, anything to do with the water? Quantum leaping yeah, meditations and not always guided meditations that you can do on your own. So there's lots of different types of meditation. That you can do. There's, you know, color, meditations, just sound meditations. And, you know, Put on your really nice headphones and make it really nice, make it really lovely for yourself maybe light a candle, do some incense. And like what I'll often do is I'll put, put down like a yoga mat and put a blanket over and I'll make it all, get all my like fluffy things and my pillars and I'll make it really cozy. And, you know, Those kinds of things you can find for yourself. See what works for you and like an AA saying, find the tool. That works for you that you like. And if you don't know if you like it, just try it. And then, like we said, you can just change your mind and see if you start journaling and you think I don't like this. Try something else. And. Yes. Just see, what is, what are you, what are you resisting right now? What. Are you being called to that? You're feeling there's a bit of resistance. Against.

Ané:

Yes. And I also, I love all of that. And also be, be curious if right now it was saying, you may be thinking to yourself, that's a waste of time. I don't have time to do that, blah, blah, blah. Be curious with that, because that was something that I really had to work through. Earlier in my journey, because I was like, I've got so much to do, right? I was in this urgency energy a lot. So be curious if you think, Oh, well, that's not going to expand my business or scale my business or whatever. And play with that because that's been the one thing that actually, when I put time to detox, when I put time to, Yeah. tune into my body, tune into my heart. It's been the most expansive time for me in business and networking and collaborations and projects because my body is finally like, great. We can put you in that frequency because you're, you're taking care of yourself. So Yeah. just be curious if you, if you have these sort of internal stories coming up. But yeah, I really, really hope that you guys take this little rapid podcast And sort of. Use it as a time as like a mini masterclass or a mini moment for us to sort of work together. And we would love, love, love if you guys shared your answers in an email with us or the, all the links are down below. Or even DM us. Yeah. We'd love to know.

Stacey:

Yeah. And just my last piece on that, when you're saying. I don't have time for this. That's your resistance. That's exactly what I'm saying. If there's something you're resisting, you say no, no, I don't have time for that. That you got to dive into that. resistance. And so I I've heard that a lot from people, especially when they go to meditate. I don't have time for that. I can't, or I can't do it. That's why you absolutely have to do it. Because you're resisting it.

Ané:

Yeah. exactly.

Stacey:

Yeah. So thank you so much for listening. We would love to hear from you. We would love it. you could leave us a review on apple podcasts. You can also send us an email we're at Hiller at trusting the universe and shape. Dot com. We would love to hear from you and thank you so much for listening.

Ané:

Thank you guys. This has been awesome. Bye
