Second Serve Podcast is the only tennis podcast created exclusively for adult recreational players by everyday tennis players. We are passionate about the game and our episodes are geared towards adults playing a sport in the later years of life (hence, the name “Second Serve”). The goal of the podcast is to promote and grow the game of tennis for adult players. This podcast discusses everything related to adult recreational tennis. Topics include the following: advice for beginners; what adult recreational players wear; funny and crazy situations that happen on the court; the rules of adult tennis; and how it feels being an adult and getting your feelings hurt when you are not played in an important match. We know how it feels!

New USTA Options For Registering For Teams - It's Like Tennis Dating (You Don't Need A Team Number To Register And Captains Can Find New Players)
We are thrilled to have Marilyn Sherman, the National Promotions Manager for USTA, and Dani Broadstreet, the NC Director of Adult Leagues, on this episode to discuss the new options players and captains have for registering for USTA teams. They also discuss their most memorable matches and they are pretty funny!

Marilyn Sherman is the National Promotions Manager for USTA. She was the Director of Adult Tennis for the USTA Southern Section for 15 years and has worked for the national staff for 12 years. If you hear of someone winning the Marilyn Sherman Award, this is her! The Marilyn Sherman Award is given each year to an individual who demonstrates great passion and enthusiasm for growing the game.
Dani Broadstreet is the NC Director of Adult Leagues. She was previously with the Greensboro Tennis Foundation as the NJTL Director. She's happily been playing league tennis for 13 years!
Both Marilyn and Dani are 4.0 tennis players as well!
