“Centrally Speaking” is a podcast from the Central Schwenkfelder Church and speaks about issues that would be of interest to our society. In particular it addresses how a Christian worldview intersects with western secular culture. In the spirit of the church's founder, we take the perspective of "the Middle Way," which is in agreement with the historic Christian church.

Why do cultures preserve themselves? What aspects can we see about their identity and lifestyle from art, furniture, and literature? Why would a Christian community, like the Schwenkfelders, preserve itself? In this podcast we interview Beth Twiss Houting the new Executive Director at the Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center. Mrs. Houting has thirty years of experience in the museum world and was previously the Senior Director of Program Services at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania. She holds a master degree in American Material Culture from the Winterthur program at the University of Delaware.
