After turning pro after college and playing in events like the Buy.com Tour (currently known as the Korn Ferry Tour), Marty Jertson went on to work for PING, Inc., where he found success designing and engineering an impressive number of golf clubs. Jertson currently has his name on over 125 patents and is proud to be the lead designer of several of PING’s best-selling drivers. Now, as the VP of Fitting and Performance at PING, Marty enjoys focusing on clients; evaluating golfers’ game, breaking down swings, and using advanced diagnostic and simulation technologies to enhance overall performance. In essence, Marty’s function is to make golf more enjoyable for him and his clients.
In 2020, Marty Jertson cofounded The Stack System – a revolutionary swing-speed trainer for golfers that is touted as one of the best speed training systems available for golfers. The Stack System effectively generates a golfer’s force-velocity (of their swing) profile through a series of swing speed tests. Further data is gathered regarding discerned strengths and weaknesses related to generating clubhead speed.
