Horror Movie Survival Guide
Horror Movie Survival Guide is a weekly podcast where two long time chums (and unlikely gorehounds) watch and talk about horror films from a survival point of view. We ask the question - how can *we* end up as the final girl? Join Julia Marchese and Teri Gamble as we take a deep dive into everything from OG horror to newly released films (but preferably classics on VHS). We'll talk about obscure details that no one else notices, spin off into alternate casting universes, crush on some foxy, dodgy fellows (and creepy uncles), and arm ourselves with the knowledge necessary to become The Final Girl!

HMSG Interview Heather Greene! Pagan & Witch Scholar!
This week we got to chat with the fantastic Heather Greene is Film & Witch scholar who works as a freelance editor, writer, and journalist in Atlanta, Georgia.
Her work has been published at Religion News Service, Religion Unplugged, The Washington Post, Patheos.com, Circle Magazine, and the Parliament of the World Religions online magazine. I have also written for Turner Classic Movies, Saddleback SEO, Sybex Publications, and Lady Liberty League to name a few.
Her first book Bell, Book, and Camera: A Critical History of Witches in American Film and Television was released in Spring 2018. She has since revised it and updated the book which is out now for all to read with the new spiffy title Lights, Camera, Witchcraft: A Critical History of Witches in American Film and Television.
For you serious witch scholars out there - this book looks back at how we have interacted as a culture with witches & pagan imagery from the early motion pictures era to the present day!
We hope you enjoy our discussion about witches throughout film & tv & revel as we coalesce on a mission to support one of our favorite witch movies. We all recommend you watch Romero's underseen masterpiece Season of the Witch (1972)!
