Coaching Kids Curling
The goal of this podcast is to help those who are involved with youth curling programs, including coaches, volunteers, program organizers and parents.
Our primary focus will be on "U12" or "Little Rocks" curling, but this podcast will occasionally touch on topics of interest to U15/U18/U21 coaches and organizers. Coach Glenn Gabriel will offer advice, share resources and give you the occasional pick-me-up when you need it.

Coaching Kids Curling
Dream Practice Draft (Part 1 of 2)
In late February 2022, five youth curling coaches from across Canada gathered on Zoom for a one-of-a-kind competition. Their mission: To each create their best youth curling practice. The catch? They were creating their "dream practices" using the format of a fantasy sports draft!
In Part 1 of this two-part series, we lay down the ground rules, introduce ourselves to the listeners, and make our first four draft picks. Let the competition begin!
Some of the topics we discuss:
* Draft Format (2:28) & Ground Rules (3:38)
* Draft Participants Introduce Themselves and Their Favourite Sports Teams (4:52)
* WARMUP EXERCISE & SONG category (8:18)
* DELIVERY DRILL category (13:32)
* SWEEPING DRILL category (27:02)
* GAME VARIATION category (35:34)
