30 | How One Key Skill Leads to a Career Spanning Three Industries with Deb Meyer
Show Notes

In this week's episode, I speak with Deb Meyer who went from multiple roles at Proctor & Gamble (specifically testing diapers!) to real estate to starting her own business with a line of products that get rid of tough odors in your house.   Sounds like a lot of career changes but Deb focuses on that they all take problem solving.  That this key still has been the driver of every job she has had and given her the ability to evolve her own business during COVID.  It's a fascinating story and you have to check out the product itself: https://www.odorxit.com

More about Deb...

Deb Meyer is the CEO and owner of Listening Systems, Inc. dba OdorXit – when
your places don’t smell pleasant – get OdorXit. Deb and her husband have always
had jobs that solved problems. They started this company after buying a rental
property that had a lot of stinky cat pee everywhere! Once they realized they had
a product that would totally eliminate the cat urine smell forever, they started
manufacturing and shipping their now named “OdorXit odor eliminator products”
throughout the US and Canada.

“We became experts on odor elimination and entrepreneurs out of necessity -
find a need then fill it. We’ve saved people thousands of dollars on remediation
costs and have made them a whole lot more by increasing the value of their
property – homes and even elderly communities - by making it smell great!

Before OdorXit, Deb worked in Corporate American for 20 years solving problems,
has been on many real estate investor association boards and elder care
networking boards. In her spare time she takes walks with her blind Puggle she
affectionately calls “Velcro” dog.
