In this week’s episode, I talk with Sun Kim. Really from day one of his career, Sun showed the entrepreneurial spirit, he just didn’t know that’s what it was! He wanted to find more meaning in his work, “not just climb the corporate ladder” which led to eight jobs in ten years. After his third product manager job, he started to realize that the theme in all these jobs was that he wanted to create something, provide value but then move on. And while that looks like a job-hopper on paper, it’s actually an independent spirit finding its way through to the light! Now Sun is working on four different companies: a real estate tech company, a dog training business, a resume & interview coach, and a PM & Agile consultant...all companies he has started on his own!

Sun is an engineer turned software product manager and has been building products for the last 10 years, from medical devices to banking apps. As an unabashed job hopper (8 jobs in 10 years), he has learned how to navigate different leadership and management styles and has found himself in mentorship roles to help new product managers grow and advance in their careers.
