The unrest, the unrest, the Unrest Podcast, podcast, podcast.

00:00:18 Speaker 2

Welcome to the Unrest podcast.

00:00:20 Speaker 2

I'm Caitlin stansell.

00:00:22 Speaker 3

And I'm Madeline Green if you haven't already, we would love for you to subscribe to the Unrest podcast wherever you listen to podcasts, do it or die.

00:00:34 Speaker 2

Madeline, have you seen the aliens in the news recently?

00:00:38 Speaker 2

No, I'm shocked because you're you're the alien.

00:00:42 Speaker 2

Lover out of the two.

00:00:42 Speaker 3

No, you hate alien.

00:00:43 Speaker 2

Of us.

00:00:44 Speaker 3

No hate on the news.

00:00:46 Speaker 2

So basically what happened was in Nevada, like around Las Vegas.

00:00:54 Speaker 2

These people were out their house and they called 911 because they are seeing these 8 foot tall people in their backyard with big black shiny eyes.

00:01:07 Speaker 2

Also at the same time, there's like a cops dash camera that catches this green light coming down from the sky.

00:01:15 Speaker 2

And it's kind of like weird and sketchy as most alien things are like.

00:01:19 Speaker 2

There's not really any video footage or anything like that because you know, how convenient would that be to have a?

00:01:27 Speaker 2

Great photo of.

00:01:29 Speaker 2

What they're seeing, but they said as they're out there.

00:01:33 Speaker 2

Eventually, these people and these black like Tahoe looking vehicles come and like I guess take this ship that landed in their backyard away.

00:01:45 Speaker 2

It's all kind of weird and strange, as most alien stories are, but I'm glad it just wasn't me.

00:01:53 Speaker 3

Yeah, no, haven't heard of this.

00:01:55 Speaker 2

And then recently there was another strange light captured in the sky over Las Vegas like this past week.

00:02:03 Speaker 2

I'm pretty sure I think I sent that one to you on Snapchat, but I don't know what's happening.

00:02:08 Speaker 2

If they're trying to make contact or what, but as long as they stay.

00:02:11 Speaker 2

Out there near.

00:02:12 Speaker 2

Las Vegas.

00:02:14 Speaker 3

This doesn't have to do aliens per se, but we did go on that trip to Colorado and.

00:02:19 Speaker 3

Stuff. Ohh yeah.

00:02:21 Speaker 3

And we got to see.

00:02:23 Speaker 3

I don't know why I'm connecting this with the aliens, but we got to go and see these.

00:02:28 Speaker 3

Old like cave drawings.

00:02:30 Speaker 3

I think I guess from like ancient aliens, you.

00:02:32 Speaker 3

Know they always say that The Cave.

00:02:34 Speaker 3

Connect with like aliens and I kid you not like these cave drawings look.

00:02:41 Speaker 2

Just like little.

00:02:42 Speaker 3

Like alien creatures.

00:02:43 Speaker 2

Like the little like people that they were supposedly drawing look like little aliens, yeah.

00:02:48 Speaker 3

00:02:50 Speaker 2

Oh, I don't.

00:02:50 Speaker 2

Like that, why do you see?

00:02:51 Speaker 4

Me a picture of that did.

00:02:53 Speaker 2

I not.

00:02:54 Speaker 2

What I love about like stories about aliens and even like the Loch Ness Monster.

00:03:00 Speaker 2

Like there was one recently about.

00:03:01 Speaker 2

Like the best.

00:03:03 Speaker 2

Photographic evidence, like new evidence that the Loch Ness Monster is apparently.

00:03:08 Speaker 2

Out like they're never clear.

00:03:12 Speaker 2

Great images, you know.

00:03:14 Speaker 3

No, they're always blurry.

00:03:16 Speaker 2

And that just seems crazy to me.

00:03:19 Speaker 3

Thinking of the.

00:03:20 Speaker 3

Loch Ness Monster, not far from where I.

00:03:22 Speaker 3

Live like 30 minutes.

00:03:26 Speaker 3

There is a lake and it's called Lake Norman and.

00:03:31 Speaker 3

There is a like Lake Norman monster.

00:03:34 Speaker 3

His name is Normie.

00:03:36 Speaker 3

And the guy that we had on this show not.

00:03:38 Speaker 3

Long ago, Jason.

00:03:40 Speaker 3

He's the one.

00:03:40 Speaker 3

Who does it?

00:03:41 Speaker 3

And it's lake.

00:03:42 Speaker 3

Norman monster.

00:03:43 Speaker 4

Week. Ohh yeah I've.

00:03:45 Speaker 3

Driven by the lake, I haven't seen Normie yet.

00:03:48 Speaker 3

I'm still holding out hope.

00:03:50 Speaker 3

But tell us about our real life hunt today.

00:03:53 Speaker 2

So our real life hunt for this episode comes from Lacey, and she works at this aviation museum in Arkansas, and they've just had a ton of experiences there.

00:04:05 Speaker 2

So take a listen to some of her favorites that she shared.

00:04:13 Speaker 4

My name is Lacey Prince and I'm museum director for our museum.

00:04:19 Speaker 4

Yeah, so this Arkansas Air military museum.

00:04:21 Speaker 4

And I actually went viral on.

00:04:24 Speaker 4

TikTok a.

00:04:25 Speaker 4

Couple weeks ago for telling one of our little.

00:04:26 Speaker 4

Ghost stories.

00:04:28 Speaker 4

It was like I'm like all the tick.

00:04:29 Speaker 4

Tocks I've made this is the one so.

00:04:33 Speaker 4

Yeah. So we have.

00:04:33 Speaker 4

We have several little ghost stories and we do have an annual ghost sent every year that we actually bring in.

00:04:38 Speaker 4

Like, you know, Real Ghost center like Ghost in our groups that lead the way and actually have all the technology and stuff for our guests.

00:04:45 Speaker 4

To really, you know, enjoy the.

00:04:46 Speaker 4

Yeah. Experience. So, yeah, early in 2021, we got a phone call from the.

00:04:53 Speaker 4

Boonville Library in Boonville, Arkansas.

00:04:56 Speaker 4

Most people have never heard of that city.

00:04:58 Speaker 4

It's the middle of nowhere and you can't get there from here.

00:05:01 Speaker 4

Kind of town.

00:05:02 Speaker 4

And they're like, hey, we're getting ready to close our museum.

00:05:06 Speaker 4

We have here in the library and there's some.

00:05:09 Speaker 4

Artifacts we think need to come to.

00:05:11 Speaker 4

Your museum like.

00:05:12 Speaker 4

Alright, we're down.

00:05:13 Speaker 4

We don't want, you know, anything to go to waste.

00:05:15 Speaker 4

And so we went down there and have a primary check.

00:05:19 Speaker 4

I'm like, hey.

00:05:19 Speaker 4

Yeah, like, oh, these look great.

00:05:21 Speaker 4

Well, we didn't know they were.

00:05:22 Speaker 4

Not necessarily hiding, but they were. It was put away. They hit a little over 650 artifacts from this.

00:05:27 Speaker 4

Guy's.

00:05:27 Speaker 4

Personal collection.

00:05:29 Speaker 4

And so it was pretty much anything this man had ever owned in his entire.

00:05:33 Speaker 4

Life was in this.

00:05:35 Speaker 4

So some of.

00:05:35 Speaker 4

That matched our very much matched our mission to the Museum of preserving our Kansas military.

00:05:42 Speaker 4

History and some of it was a little bit more wild, like one of the collection items was a tiger skull, of all things that he had turned to an ashtray.

00:05:50 Speaker 4

From when he where she worked in Indonesia.

00:05:53 Speaker 4

So it's been a while.

00:05:53 Speaker 2

Interestingly, use.

00:05:56 Speaker 4

So his name was General John P McConnell, and he was born in Beeville.

00:06:02 Speaker 4

He went to college, actually buy all water of Henderson staying.

00:06:04 Speaker 4

I think it was called Henderson Brown at the time period he was there and then he joined the Army Air Corps.

00:06:09 Speaker 4

This is before we had the Arkansas, the Arkansas.

00:06:12 Speaker 4

Sorry, the American Air Force, our US Air Force.

00:06:15 Speaker 4

Long before we had them and he went down to West Point because at this time you had to.

00:06:20 Speaker 4

Go West, point to get your.

00:06:21 Speaker 4

Like actual ranking.

00:06:24 Speaker 4

And he became a professor there on top of a lobby.

00:06:27 Speaker 4

Instructors on the horses.

00:06:30 Speaker 4

And he and his replied his leaving West Point.

00:06:34 Speaker 4

He actually was given a.

00:06:36 Speaker 4

Set of keys.

00:06:37 Speaker 4

To thank him for his time and service there, it was the entirety of the entire complex of bus points, keys.

00:06:45 Speaker 4

So we didn't think much about it.

00:06:46 Speaker 4

We just kind of threw it in the case and shortly after we got everything organized and understood.

00:06:50 Speaker 4

How the artifacts we actually had?

00:06:53 Speaker 4

We kind of started rearranging the case and start telling the story of this gentleman and really quickly we kind of said, you know, the keys are at risk of hurting other things.

00:07:01 Speaker 4

We're gonna.

00:07:01 Speaker 4

Remove it.

00:07:01 Speaker 4

From this case.

00:07:03 Speaker 4

And there won't be any issue, right?

00:07:05 Speaker 4

Well, you would go in that building and you just immediately would feel uneasy and not like A and like a I mean, like when you come home and your mom makes a certain face.

00:07:14 Speaker 4

Because you know, you did something that day.

00:07:16 Speaker 4

That kind of uneasy.

00:07:17 Speaker 4

So is there.

00:07:18 Speaker 4

Like a.

00:07:18 Speaker 4

Bad thing like.

00:07:19 Speaker 4

Yeah, I've done something.

00:07:20 Speaker 4

I'm not sure what it is.

00:07:21 Speaker 4

I I go something that and one of.

00:07:24 Speaker 4

My my curator actually one day she came up to me almost in tears and she said something just touched my hair and I was like oh, you're you're messing.

00:07:32 Speaker 4

Me cause she.

00:07:32 Speaker 4

Very, very much does not believe in ghosts.

00:07:34 Speaker 4

She goes. No, something.

00:07:36 Speaker 4

Came up and slapped my ponytail.

00:07:38 Speaker 4

And this is like shortly after we opened.

00:07:40 Speaker 4

Like there's another human being other than us too in the museum and something, it's laughter.

00:07:45 Speaker 4

We also started getting reports of some of our volunteers at the opening that building that was in and the bathroom doors and the the bathrooms at the toilets would actually start flushing in the men's room and kind of crazy things like that.

00:07:58 Speaker 4

Well, a couple weeks later, our.

00:07:59 Speaker 4

Ghost Hunt comes up and we don't think anything of.

00:08:01 Speaker 4

It and we immediately the first thing.

00:08:03 Speaker 4

We do is go to that building.

00:08:04 Speaker 4

It's kind of the harder buildings for us to lock up and get all the security messed up with, so I pretty much spend the entirety of the ghost time.

00:08:10 Speaker 4

Getting it locked.

00:08:11 Speaker 4

Back up after we finish there.

00:08:13 Speaker 4

So we start there and the first thing it pops up on little Ghost box is keys.

00:08:19 Speaker 4

Alright, that's weird.

00:08:20 Speaker 4

There are keys in here and then the next thing was where where keys and we quickly pinpointed because we had removed about a week prior, removed the keys from the case that his uniform was in.

00:08:33 Speaker 4

We decided that we might put.

00:08:34 Speaker 4

Him back.

00:08:35 Speaker 4

And so during to go something like curate.

00:08:37 Speaker 4

She went back she.

00:08:37 Speaker 4

Grabbed the key she put back in the case.

00:08:39 Speaker 4

And it said thank.

00:08:41 Speaker 4

Right after and he was like, OK, thank you, Sir.

00:08:45 Speaker 4

Like, have a great night.

00:08:46 Speaker 4

Don't bother.

00:08:48 Speaker 4

Hey, you know, I understand losing your keys.

00:08:49 Speaker 4

I if if they were, if my head was attached to my body, I'd.

00:08:53 Speaker 4

Probably lose it too. I'm.

00:08:54 Speaker 4

That kind of person.

00:08:55 Speaker 4

So I totally get losing your keys.

00:08:58 Speaker 4

It's one of my.

00:08:58 Speaker 4

It's my least favorite one to really tell people about because it really makes you sound like a ****.

00:09:02 Speaker 4

You know, it's something that my husband is a complete skeptic to this day cannot explain how it worked out like.

00:09:07 Speaker 4

It did.

00:09:08 Speaker 4

Our ghost hunt.

00:09:09 Speaker 4

So I got married on October 16.

00:09:12 Speaker 4

Our ghost Hunt was a week later and not even a week later I think it.

00:09:17 Speaker 4

Was three days.

00:09:18 Speaker 4

After that and I had worked the ghost hunt and during the ghost hunt, so we didn't go to our hunting immediately.

00:09:25 Speaker 4

I worked the ghost hunt and it kept saying this woman's voice coming through. It kept saying water, water, attic, attic and.

00:09:32 Speaker 4

There's like, OK, whatever, because we don't really have any legit attic.

00:09:35 Speaker 4

It's where they had to put a new roof over the historic roof to save.

00:09:38 Speaker 4

This historic roof.

00:09:40 Speaker 4

Alright, whatever and.

00:09:41 Speaker 4

I don't think much.

00:09:42 Speaker 4

But it was raining that night.

00:09:44 Speaker 4

So you.

00:09:44 Speaker 4

Don't think much of anything you know.

00:09:45 Speaker 4

Especially well, hey, week to the day.

00:09:49 Speaker 4

Exactly the pipe first above my desk, and when the crew came in, it was even.

00:09:54 Speaker 4

It was even a normal pipe.

00:09:55 Speaker 4

Either it was our fire suppression system.

00:09:58 Speaker 4

It so it ran literally until someone turned it off to make sure the.

00:10:02 Speaker 4

Fire was out.

00:10:03 Speaker 4

And so, like all those things like oh.

00:10:05 Speaker 4

Well, and that part is we're very small museum, very underfunded.

00:10:09 Speaker 4

So we all use our own personal computers.

00:10:11 Speaker 4

I never, ever, ever leave my personal computer at work.

00:10:14 Speaker 4

And of course, that was.

00:10:15 Speaker 4

Not I did it and so.

00:10:17 Speaker 4

It was kind of like my husband.

00:10:18 Speaker 4

He goes.

00:10:18 Speaker 4

Hey, remember that ghost told you about the water in the attic?

00:10:20 Speaker 4

Was like, shut up that crap and.

00:10:24 Speaker 4

Yeah, the attic. The attic.

00:10:25 Speaker 4

And it's still freaking me.

00:10:27 Speaker 4

And my and my my employee who also.

00:10:29 Speaker 4

A skeptic, she was like.

00:10:30 Speaker 4

I don't like that I don't wanna.

00:10:32 Speaker 4

Talk about it.

00:10:35 Speaker 2

Ohh my gosh.

00:10:35 Speaker 4

And the bad part was when the crew came in to fix it, they they went in the attic and it was leaking in 20 different places.

00:10:41 Speaker 4

And that just happened to be placed at first.

00:10:44 Speaker 4

Blue suit.

00:10:45 Speaker 4

He's one of my favorites.

00:10:47 Speaker 4

He's never been intimidating to me, but I've had other of my volunteers be very intimidated and not won't work in certain areas after they've had a weird encounter with someone they don't remember.

00:10:58 Speaker 4

Like don't didn't recognize and he's another one of the ones like you can read the comments.

00:11:04 Speaker 4

Post it's a lot more common than people think.

00:11:06 Speaker 4

It is.

00:11:06 Speaker 4

A lot of people will go places and need a reenactor, and because it's such a normal thing at museums, they don't think much of it.

00:11:12 Speaker 4

And so when they say it into somebody who works there, they're always like, oh, there's no reenactors.

00:11:16 Speaker 4

Are you talking?

00:11:17 Speaker 4

So he's one of the ones we he's in the old airline uniform and he talks to people and he has conversations and like, oh man, we loved your airline pilot out there.

00:11:25 Speaker 4

I didn't know that they all.

00:11:26 Speaker 4

Had living history here, so it's one of those.

00:11:29 Speaker 4

Weird ones like you're like, Oh my God.

00:11:31 Speaker 4

Like that.

00:11:31 Speaker 4

Must have been Ray.

00:11:32 Speaker 4

And so Ray and he was the guy who actually came in.

00:11:37 Speaker 4

Started really started aviation in this portion of Arkansas and he was a very tall Donald Draper Esque looking guy who always wore his blue suit and his office or he's seen most is where his office used to be.

00:11:53 Speaker 4

And like I said, he's he's.

00:11:54 Speaker 4

One of those like I think he's.

00:11:55 Speaker 4

Just watching his property, I don't think.

00:11:57 Speaker 4

And he was the one that was.

00:11:58 Speaker 4

Off on all the projects out there.

00:12:00 Speaker 4

And that was.

00:12:00 Speaker 4

His life and.

00:12:01 Speaker 4

And him and his wife were unfortunately not able to have children, so him and his wife really poured themselves into their work and they wanted to teach others how to fly, and they wanted to teach, you know.

00:12:10 Speaker 4

Wanted other people to find a love of aviation, they.

00:12:13 Speaker 4

So one of the.

00:12:14 Speaker 4

Ones that really bothers me to this.

00:12:16 Speaker 4

To my core.

00:12:19 Speaker 4

Is Adam and I.

00:12:20 Speaker 4

Am not a big fan of Adam.

00:12:22 Speaker 4

No one I have never met anybody who has an encounter with Adam that has been good.

00:12:29 Speaker 4

Adam hangs out in our restoration shop and the only reason we call him.

00:12:33 Speaker 4

That is that 100 ago. So we got that name back there and it was a, it was a different voice and all the other voices we had had heard on the ghost box. But it was just an.

00:12:43 Speaker 4

And we never heard from it again, and the question had been asked was who is the reenactor people keep seeing back here and just Adam and that was.

00:12:49 Speaker 4

The only thing.

00:12:50 Speaker 4

You got all night.

00:12:52 Speaker 4

Ohh so Adam is described as being about 6 foot four is very slender and probably in his mid to late 30s.

00:13:02 Speaker 4

And very, very rude.

00:13:05 Speaker 4

And people will try to flag him down, thinking he's a a volunteer with the museum because he's behind the ropes and he'll tell.

00:13:13 Speaker 4

Him that you know.

00:13:15 Speaker 4

Something like that?

00:13:16 Speaker 4

Or what do you want?

00:13:17 Speaker 4

He'll say stuff like that really short.

00:13:19 Speaker 4

You know, stopping high conversations, and he'll just he won't ever answer.

00:13:23 Speaker 4

Like somebody said, hey, how do we get out?

00:13:24 Speaker 4

Of here, he'll just.

00:13:25 Speaker 4

Like nod, his head in a certain direction.

00:13:27 Speaker 4

The last time I got a report from a guest about him, I immediately ran back because I thought someone had broken.

00:13:34 Speaker 4

I'm like, oh, this is it.

00:13:35 Speaker 4

Gonna have to write a report about this.

00:13:37 Speaker 4

Let my board know here.

00:13:38 Speaker 4

You know, and so I ran to the second building.

00:13:42 Speaker 4

And I got back to the shop area and it sounded like somebody was sitting there flipping tables over.

00:13:46 Speaker 4

It was so loud, and as soon as I turned the corner off because we have a helicopter that blocks that in a view of that area, as soon I came around, the knows the helicopter, it went silent and not a single.

00:13:57 Speaker 4

Thing had been touched.

00:14:00 Speaker 4

So that's the one that we had a we had a volunteer two years ago, we always.

00:14:06 Speaker 4

Complain about because.

00:14:06 Speaker 4

He was like I always complained.

00:14:08 Speaker 4

How mean he was.

00:14:09 Speaker 4

And when you get back there, you always feel like you're being watched and like, really ********, and people will actually have reported to us.

00:14:16 Speaker 4

Oh, yeah.

00:14:16 Speaker 4

I feel like I.

00:14:16 Speaker 4

Was being watched back there, so we got out of there.

00:14:19 Speaker 4

And so we had his volunteer and he he probably worked every single day for two years.

00:14:26 Speaker 4

He was a fresh retiree.

00:14:27 Speaker 4

He didn't know how to retire.

00:14:29 Speaker 4

His wife was still a school teacher, so she was working constantly as well all the time.

00:14:35 Speaker 4

He took office for his birthday, he would go.

00:14:37 Speaker 4

Fly fishing on his birthday.

00:14:39 Speaker 4

And he got really acquainted with us.

00:14:41 Speaker 4

And he got really acquainted to, like, our stories about weird things that happened.

00:14:45 Speaker 4

Well, about a week before this gentleman passed away.

00:14:48 Speaker 4

I walked in.

00:14:49 Speaker 4

On him kind of slept on my accident on him and he was sitting there talking to himself and he was almost like he was talking to the ghost.

00:14:56 Speaker 4

And he said.

00:14:56 Speaker 4

Y'all need to leave these girls alone.

00:14:58 Speaker 4

Doing a good job around here, you know he didn't.

00:15:00 Speaker 4

When he realized I was in the room.

00:15:02 Speaker 4

Well, I never really thought much about it, but he always joked with us and said, man, it's over time.

00:15:05 Speaker 4

We can come back in here and haunt every hunt, y'all and make sure these ghosts.

00:15:08 Speaker 4

Bother you anymore, said all y'all can do.

00:15:10 Speaker 4

A better job was something he always said the day this man died.

00:15:15 Speaker 4

I kid you not well.

00:15:17 Speaker 4

When I say he also always told us that he was gonna mess with.

00:15:20 Speaker 4

Things the day he died, he would come back and he would mess with things and just really.

00:15:23 Speaker 4

Bother us and make us mad because he he get into a point where he was almost like a father figure at the museum was like, hey, Jerry, can you help me change my entire?

00:15:31 Speaker 4

Like it was something like that.

00:15:32 Speaker 4

Know that's how the kind of.

00:15:33 Speaker 4

Relationship you got with this.

00:15:34 Speaker 4

Guy and he the day this man dies.

00:15:40 Speaker 4

I had two pipes.

00:15:41 Speaker 4

First came outside.

00:15:43 Speaker 4

My tire was flat.

00:15:44 Speaker 4

My employees back tire was flat, the opposite.

00:15:48 Speaker 3

Her battery was dead.

00:15:49 Speaker 4

On her truck.

00:15:50 Speaker 4

We had one of these big hanger doors break it, got some kid.

00:15:53 Speaker 4

Accidentally fell through another hanger door like it was made out.

00:15:56 Speaker 4

Of plastic broke.

00:15:57 Speaker 4

In I mean everything that could go wrong that day actually went wrong.

00:16:01 Speaker 4

I'm like he's messing with us.

00:16:02 Speaker 4

This is it.

00:16:03 Speaker 4

Well, about four weeks later.

00:16:06 Speaker 4

Me and the my employee.

00:16:07 Speaker 4

They've been having a lot of issues with the door.

00:16:09 Speaker 4

Planning and stuff like that, I kind of said I am not meaning this to be sound like a kooky weirdo when I say this, I said I.

00:16:15 Speaker 4

Think Garry's hanging out?

00:16:16 Speaker 4

With us and she goes.

00:16:18 Speaker 4

What do you mean?

00:16:19 Speaker 4

Because I I have some weird feelings too, I said.

00:16:23 Speaker 4

Oh, you.

00:16:23 Speaker 4

Thought it was weird.

00:16:24 Speaker 4

Like the toilets haven't been flushing by themselves.

00:16:27 Speaker 4

She goes, Oh my God, I.

00:16:28 Speaker 4

Don't say they completely soft when he.

00:16:30 Speaker 4

Died, I said.

00:16:31 Speaker 4

Yeah, I said I.

00:16:32 Speaker 4

Don't like him being watched all the time now?

00:16:35 Speaker 4

And I don't know if it was like you know.

00:16:36 Speaker 4

It was like, you know, plus you both.

00:16:38 Speaker 4

Like you protect this kind of thing.

00:16:40 Speaker 4

We still protected.

00:16:41 Speaker 4

But our ghost hunts, we've almost had to start canceling because we have not had any activity.

00:16:46 Speaker 4

Since he passed away.

00:16:47 Speaker 4

The ghost hunts are silent.

00:16:49 Speaker 4

We and The thing is, it's getting crazier is in our last ghost.

00:16:53 Speaker 4

I don't know what came about me, but I kind.

00:16:55 Speaker 4

Of got this like he used to.

00:16:56 Speaker 4

He he, I told him a story once that when I used to work for a certain another museum, I had two men that worked with me and they they always would grab my waist to move me.

00:17:06 Speaker 4

And that's when my big picky things like don't touch me there.

00:17:08 Speaker 4

It'd be weird if I.

00:17:09 Speaker 4

Touched you there kind?

00:17:10 Speaker 4

Of things and.

00:17:12 Speaker 4

Like I told him that one time.

00:17:14 Speaker 4

So he.

00:17:14 Speaker 4

Would do it just to make me.

00:17:15 Speaker 4

Mad and we're sitting there talking to the crowd and saying apologizing how lame it had been.

00:17:21 Speaker 4

Several of people we have repeats come every year, they come every single year and the guy everybody else is like, Oh my God.

00:17:26 Speaker 4

Like, I can't believe this is so lame this year.

00:17:28 Speaker 4

Like I know, sorry, it sucks.

00:17:30 Speaker 4

And at that moment, it felt like somebody grabbed my waist and.

00:17:33 Speaker 4

Tried to move it.

00:17:34

I was like.

00:17:35 Speaker 4

Ohh Jerry's here.

00:17:37 Speaker 4

And they immediately on the ghost box.

00:17:40 Speaker 4

It came off.

00:17:40 Speaker 4

It came.

00:17:41 Speaker 4

Up came up.

00:17:41 Speaker 4

Ha ha ha ha. Like very separate ha ha ha. And my husband was standing there and he said when he said when that happened, he said I have never felt goosebumps. Goosebumps in y'all's like Ghost since before he said my every hair on my body.

00:17:55 Speaker 4

And he he kind of looked up to the back and.

00:17:57 Speaker 4

I thought all night. Hey.

00:17:58 Speaker 4

Kind of looking.

00:17:58 Speaker 4

There's in the room and we were in.

00:18:00 Speaker 4

There's a balcony.

00:18:01 Speaker 4

I kept looking up there for some reason and my husband file looks up there.

00:18:04 Speaker 4

He goes he, my husband and him were almost like brothers and my husband goes well.

00:18:09 Speaker 4

Hey *******.

00:18:10 Speaker 4

Well, the next thing.

00:18:12 Speaker 4

It came across.

00:18:13 Speaker 4

The thing is he?

00:18:13 Speaker 4

Said you ****.

00:18:15 Speaker 4

Which was something they said to each other.

00:18:17 Speaker 4

I'm like, and my husband, like, ever since.

00:18:19 Speaker 4

He's like, no, that's the only time I've had something kind of like that.

00:18:22 Speaker 4

I've been like, OK.

00:18:23 Speaker 4

That was a little weird.

00:18:26 Speaker 4

For some reason, in one of our old fridges in the museum there are these beers and they they have got to be 30 years old or like there's courts.

00:18:34 Speaker 4

The courts, like I've never seen in my entire life.

00:18:37 Speaker 4

And so Jerry was a drinker.

00:18:40 Speaker 4

And so I went back there and said, hey, Jerry, how about I get you a beer and it came back and said well.

00:18:46 Speaker 4

Well, which I don't know how how southern you are, but that's a very much a like, yeah.

00:18:50 Speaker 4

Let's let's go.

00:18:54 Speaker 4

And so.

00:18:55 Speaker 4

He said well, hell, so I go to the break room, I grab the beer, I sit the center.

00:18:59 Speaker 4

And my husband, one of the plans.

00:19:01 Speaker 4

That, that he.

00:19:02 Speaker 4

He this guy.

00:19:03 Speaker 4

Died very suddenly because we knew he was kind.

00:19:05 Speaker 4

Of sick.

00:19:05 Speaker 4

But he had never expressed to us.

00:19:07 Speaker 4

How sick he.

00:19:07 Speaker 4

Actually was and it was like he left.

00:19:10 Speaker 4

He left the museum and he died two days later.

00:19:12 Speaker 4

He was that quick and none of us were expecting.

00:19:14 Speaker 4

It and him and my husband, like the last thing he had been.

00:19:18 Speaker 4

And he.

00:19:18 Speaker 4

Was him him and my husband.

00:19:19 Speaker 4

To discuss, they need to.

00:19:21 Speaker 4

Go to the cigar lounge.

00:19:23 Speaker 4

Well, my husband, it made him very emotional.

00:19:25 Speaker 4

He got never got to.

00:19:26 Speaker 4

Do this with him.

00:19:26 Speaker 4

And he said, hey, I hate that.

00:19:28 Speaker 4

We didn't get that cigar.

00:19:29 Speaker 4

It it came with the ghost box and.

00:19:31 Speaker 4

To bring one.

00:19:32 Speaker 4

It was like I said in some of.

00:19:33 Speaker 4

Those things it.

00:19:34 Speaker 4

Was like kind of.

00:19:35 Speaker 4

And then it kind of just went silent and we never heard anything ever again.

00:19:38 Speaker 4

The rest of the night it was like, alright, that might have been the two since he had to say and we're done now.

00:19:43 Speaker 4

He was there two days before painting one of the rooms said.

00:19:48 Speaker 4

I'll be back tomorrow.

00:19:50 Speaker 4

Went to the hospital that night and died.

00:19:52 Speaker 4

A day later.

00:19:53 Speaker 4

So and and like I said, it was one of the things.

00:19:55 Speaker 4

He didn't want.

00:19:56 Speaker 4

Us to know how sick he was, and so he hadn't.

00:19:59 Speaker 4

And so we when his wife came in, she.

00:20:01 Speaker 4

Were like, we're just some tears.

00:20:02 Speaker 4

And she goes.

00:20:03 Speaker 4

Why are you all so bad off?

00:20:04 Speaker 4

Did y'all know he?

00:20:05 Speaker 4

Was dying and he.

00:20:06 Speaker 4

Got in the terminal diagnosis.

00:20:08 Speaker 4

Apparently year prior had not told.

00:20:09 Speaker 4

Anybody, like most things, it was like, oh, well, yeah, you're you're right.

00:20:15 Speaker 4

We are very shocked right now.

00:20:16 Speaker 4

Thank you for letting another one of our weird.

00:20:18 Speaker 4

Ones that our ghost hunters should they have, they stuck with her more.

00:20:24 Speaker 4

The ghost hunter we bring in, she's actually using professional as well and so.

00:20:29 Speaker 4

For some reason, people actually trust her more to visit in our other ghost hunter groups we bring in, they're like, oh, well, she does this for a living.

00:20:34 Speaker 4

Like she's not pulling her change.

00:20:36 Speaker 4

Her weird one was she came in the other day.

00:20:38 Speaker 4

One day she's like, I just want to, like, know like.

00:20:39 Speaker 4

What happens here during the?

00:20:40 Speaker 4

Day because you.

00:20:41 Speaker 4

And Haley said it's so much worse during the day.

00:20:44 Speaker 4

So she came out there and she sat back in our room where we store all of our tables and chairs like.

00:20:49 Speaker 4

Like beauty, weddings at the museum, some and.

00:20:52 Speaker 4

So she went back there and she's passed.

00:20:53 Speaker 4

Out the floor.

00:20:54 Speaker 4

Because we have had reports of children lashing back there before.

00:20:58 Speaker 4

I have never heard anything like that.

00:21:00 Speaker 4

And no one else, no one.

00:21:01 Speaker 4

Other staff have that some of our volunteers were like, hey, it keeps telling like kids are like laughing back there.

00:21:06 Speaker 4

Well, she got back there and shared the first thing she gets on.

00:21:09 Speaker 4

The ghost boxes.

00:21:11 Speaker 4

And she's like, OK well.

00:21:12 Speaker 4

We'll we'll check.

00:21:14 Speaker 4

She asked the.

00:21:15 Speaker 4

Question like who is here?

00:21:17 Speaker 4

And it said a female's name. I can.

00:21:19 Speaker 4

Never remember the name.

00:21:20 Speaker 4

When I do interviews about this.

00:21:21 Speaker 4

Stuff, but says the female's name and she goes OK well, how?

00:21:25 Speaker 4

Did you get here?

00:21:27 Speaker 4

And the next answer was Ed flying one of the very, very few plane crashes on our airfield.

00:21:33 Speaker 4

The gentleman was flying.

00:21:34 Speaker 4

The airplane was named Ed and he was flying with his wife and two granddaughters, and they, unfortunately all four passed away and it's always a woman's voice back there. That's the same voice we hear every time.

00:21:47 Speaker 4

When the water thing.

00:21:48 Speaker 4

Happened at that voice.

00:21:50 Speaker 4

And we didn't think anything of it.

00:21:51 Speaker 4

And she goes.

00:21:52 Speaker 4

And does the.

00:21:52 Speaker 4

Research I didn't know about the plane crash.

00:21:54 Speaker 4

I had heard there was a really, really bad plane crash that involved children, but they.

00:21:57 Speaker 4

Were like read into.

00:21:58 Speaker 4

It kind of thing like I'm busy now learning.

00:22:00 Speaker 4

About my drug cartel playing, you know that.

00:22:03 Speaker 4

Kind of stuff, so I never thought about.

00:22:06 Speaker 4

Well, she goes and does the entire research, and sure enough, like all the names lined up exactly.

00:22:12 Speaker 4

And then another one of the weird ones she got it said Grandpa.

00:22:15 Speaker 4

So that one that one actually talking about it gives me stump season stay here miles away from you.

00:22:20 Speaker 4

And like I almost say around Christmas we get more crap.

00:22:24 Speaker 4

And I don't know if it's because we're stressed out or it's just a, you know, holiday kind of thing.

00:22:29 Speaker 4

But like during around Halloween, we're never spooked and and it seems like, especially here in Arkansas, we've been getting a lot more snow recently and there's been a few nights I've had to go spend the night in the.

00:22:40 Speaker 4

Museum and I assume museum a dozen times, like, because of different events and stuff.

00:22:46 Speaker 4

And like, it's no big deal to me.

00:22:48 Speaker 4

Well, on the nice snows, I swear it's 10 times creepier.

00:22:53 Speaker 4

It's like there was one time my husband and I were.

00:22:54 Speaker 4

Sitting up there.

00:22:55 Speaker 4

It's snowing your day and he goes.

00:22:57 Speaker 4

I just feel like I'm being watched in here, I said.

00:22:59 Speaker 4

I know I said I hadn't felt that in the longest.

00:23:01 Speaker 4

I didn't like the bad part is you.

00:23:03 Speaker 4

Most of our volunteers are kind of skeptics, but there's it's nice because like when weird things happen, you just go oh.

00:23:08 Speaker 4

It's the ghost, yeah.

00:23:10 Speaker 4

Knowing that going well, you left the fridge.

00:23:11 Speaker 4

Open, you know? Yeah.

00:23:13 Speaker 4

So I actually.

00:23:14 Speaker 4

Had come from a different museum.

00:23:16 Speaker 4

That was the Civil War, civil war oriented museum, and we had always got reported reporters like reported that like, Oh yeah, we loved those reenactors today.

00:23:25 Speaker 4

And we're, so they're going.

00:23:26 Speaker 4

There's two employees here.

00:23:27 Speaker 4

There's no reenactors.

00:23:29 Speaker 4

And so I've always been kind of intrigued and.

00:23:33 Speaker 4

When I did it originally, it was strictly just a fundraiser for the museum.

00:23:36 Speaker 4

The museum, like I said, we're we're very understaffed under, under budgeted and under, not under budget, but under, you know, fundraised all that kind of stuff.

00:23:44 Speaker 4

So it's truly just a fundraiser like saying, let's see what happen.

00:23:48 Speaker 4

And sure enough, we we actually sold it completely out within 15 minutes.

00:23:52 Speaker 4

And the bad part.

00:23:52 Speaker 4

Was that was in the middle of COVID.

00:23:54 Speaker 4

That was in 20.

00:23:54 Speaker 4

20 I'm like, oh crap people.

00:23:56 Speaker 4

Are this excited hearing it?

00:23:57 Speaker 4

Pandemic like, let's go.

00:23:58 Speaker 4

Let's keep doing this.

00:24:00 Speaker 4

Well, our first crew we came in was super sketchy and by the end of it, I think I was actually doing an interview yesterday for a documentary about what our drug cartel.

00:24:08 Speaker 4

So by the end of it there, especially during the drug cartel playing area.

00:24:12 Speaker 4

I was convinced the guys had three reported stuff because it was a little.

00:24:16 Speaker 4

Too, on the nose.

00:24:18 Speaker 4

Like it was any kind of guessing.

00:24:19 Speaker 4

It was very.

00:24:20 Speaker 4

Obvious like it was getting like the airplane, it was never.

00:24:22 Speaker 4

It was actually owned by a.

00:24:23 Speaker 4

Drug cartel like board.

00:24:26 Speaker 4

But it was never actually flow.

00:24:27 Speaker 4

It never flowed drugs because it was actually the plane he used after.

00:24:30 Speaker 4

He got caught.

00:24:32 Speaker 4

Like Oh yeah, which you carrying this and the first answer came back was like drugs and guns.

00:24:36 Speaker 4

And like, that's not true, but OK, we'll go with it because, you know, everybody's excited about it.

00:24:41 Speaker 4

But then we got.

00:24:42 Speaker 4

These actual you know.

00:24:43 Speaker 4

Not actual, but like more reputable human beings coming in due to Ghost Hunt.

00:24:47 Speaker 4

We're like, OK, people have even got more excited about they have more gear and they have, you know, a little bit.

00:24:51 Speaker 4

More of science behind.

00:24:52 Speaker 4

It that kind.

00:24:53

Of stuff.

00:24:54 Speaker 4

So I still are both sold out.

00:24:55 Speaker 4

Of it every year.

00:24:57 Speaker 4

I I always kind of hoped that there were ghosts.

00:25:00 Speaker 4

My husband thinks I'm a freak sometimes.

00:25:02 Speaker 4

I'm like, I'm one of those people.

00:25:03 Speaker 4

I religiously watch ghost hunters that.

00:25:05 Speaker 4

Kind of.

00:25:05 Speaker 4

Stuff, yeah, but like.

00:25:07 Speaker 4

I had had somewhere especially the civil War sites.

00:25:09 Speaker 4

I've worked at.

00:25:10 Speaker 4

I had some weird experiences and there were some things like every museum person has a has an experience that we can never quite explain to ourselves.

00:25:20 Speaker 4

And the more I worked at this museum, the more our experiences I have like, Oh well, that was weird.

00:25:25 Speaker 4

Can't explain that.

00:25:28 Speaker 4

So it it has solidified it significantly for me.

00:25:32 Speaker 4

Yeah, we'll say one of the other cool things.

00:25:33 Speaker 4

Yeah, you can sound bite this.

00:25:35 Speaker 4

Wherever you want.

00:25:35 Speaker 4

But one of our ghost hunters has noticed that when airplanes take off, we get more activity for that small period.

00:25:42 Speaker 4

Her theory on it's more energy.

00:25:43 Speaker 4

At the field.

00:25:44 Speaker 4

One of the guys we had, we had a complete and total skeptic.

00:25:47 Speaker 4

One of our tours one.

00:25:48 Speaker 4

Time and he was like.

00:25:49 Speaker 4

I think we're just hearing.

00:25:50 Speaker 4

The tower.

00:25:50 Speaker 4

Talk and my husband being the pilot.

00:25:53 Speaker 4

That he is.

00:25:54 Speaker 4

He's like, cool.

00:25:55 Speaker 4

We'll we'll debunk that right now, I wanna know.

00:25:58 Speaker 4

And so he we actually held the airport radio right beside the ghost box, and nothing ever lined up.

00:26:04 Speaker 4

Very good, said my.

00:26:05 Speaker 4

Husband's complete skeptic, but he's.

00:26:06 Speaker 4

Like I just gotta debunk this and someone.

00:26:08 Speaker 4

Brought it up.

00:26:10 Speaker 4

Like we have the ability, let's do it.

00:26:15 Speaker 2

I love that this is like a museum story because.

00:26:19

Purchase toys.

00:26:20 Speaker 3

Does it not remind you of, like night in the museum?

00:26:25 Speaker 2

Yeah, that's instantly what I.

00:26:27 Speaker 3

Was like thinking about.

00:26:29 Speaker 2

Because, you know, this is something I've always been curious about.

00:26:32 Speaker 2

If museums, you know, they have these artifacts from way back when, and a lot of them are connected to.

00:26:40 Speaker 2

These people in either like a tragic way or a really.

00:26:44 Speaker 2

Emotional or memorable way.

00:26:47 Speaker 2

So I just think it's so fascinating that they were sort of having some experiences that they could tie back to exhibits in their museum.

Yeah, I love the one about the pipe and it said water and then like, something happened almost like whoever that is was warning them.

00:27:06 Speaker 2

And you always hear that a lot about ghost stories, like things happening as sort of warnings to stuff that.

00:27:14 Speaker 2

The living had no idea about until it was about to happen, and then you sort of like connect the dots and it's hard to think it was just a coincidence at that point.

00:27:23 Speaker 3

Yeah, definitely not a coincidence or it doesn't seem like one at all.

00:27:27 Speaker 3

It definitely felt more like a warning.

00:27:31 Speaker 2

And obviously I love that this is like an aviation museum since I work in aerospace now it's.

00:27:38 Speaker 2

Kind of cool to hear about those sorts of stories and people connected to that piece of our history.

00:27:44 Speaker 2

And also like this little aviation museum.

00:27:46 Speaker 2

Down in Arkansas.

00:27:48 Speaker 2

I had no.

00:27:49 Speaker 2

They had such a rich history there.

00:27:51 Speaker 3

Remember when we were in college and I did the story on the airplane hangar?

00:27:55 Speaker 3

Yeah, it's just really neat to see all the history that does come with, like, aviation and how far it has come.

00:28:03 Speaker 3

Because think about those first few people who thought that was.

00:28:05 Speaker 3

Going to be a good idea.

00:28:06 Speaker 2

Yeah, you had to be very.

00:28:08 Speaker 3

Brave, so, brave.

00:28:10 Speaker 3

Funny, because I actually watched a movie on Netflix and it had Leonardo DiCaprio.

00:28:15 Speaker 3

It might have been called aviation.

00:28:17 Speaker 3

I'm not sure he was trying to do something and he would crash like multiple times and it's like you had to be so brave to actually do that.

00:28:26 Speaker 2

And like so, trusting in your own abilities too.

00:28:29

Right.

00:28:30 Speaker 3

I mean it, it really just blows my mind and it could be because I'm terrified of.

00:28:33 Speaker 3

Flying too.

00:28:34 Speaker 2

So ohh, and also for the listeners out there, the story that Madeline did in college on the airplane hangar in Columbia, SC.

00:28:42 Speaker 2

They had a.

00:28:43 Speaker 2

Log book and they found Amelia Earhart's signature in it that she had visited that Hanger and.

00:28:49 Speaker 3

Isn't it like, right before she?

00:28:51 Speaker 3

Kind of went missing, yeah.

00:28:53 Speaker 2

I always thought that was so cool.

00:28:54 Speaker 3

Their last stop?

00:28:55 Speaker 3

So I loved that story, even though I got to be on it, I really.

00:28:59 Speaker 2

Did love it.

00:29:01 Speaker 2

It was the thought that.

00:29:02 Speaker 3

Are you teachers?

00:29:04 Speaker 3

It was definitely worth an A.
