Emma and Amy

Our lives are in constant transition and movement and often it is NOT at a pace that aligns with our internal needs or expression.  The seasons transition without much warning, we are not in control.  Our hormones cycle and transition, again, out of our control.  Even our bodies, as they age, leave little up to us as to how they are going to transition from one age and stage of life to the next.  Then there are more sudden or dramatic events that really rock our world...like say a pandemic?! So if we are constantly in transition (big and little ones) how can we do our best to manage all of this change and ensure our personal expression and internal compass and rhythms aren’t completely railroaded in the process of life?  It’s A LOT to process!!!

Life transitions are often difficult, but they have a positive side, too. They provide us with an opportunity to assess the direction our lives are taking. They are a chance to grow and learn. Here are some ideas from psychotherapist, Richard Joelson, that may help you make the process more rewarding or at least manageable!
