Show Notes

Dr Lala talks with us about how we should think of movement as a child's first language, from day one of a babies life movement is crucial.
Discover why physical movement relates so deeply to communication.
Childhood is a very important developmental period for sensory sounds, reading and singing to a baby really can help their communications.
Tapping into everyday experiences and the child's physical responses enables us to be on the child's wavelength.
Emotions are directly linked to a child's physical state,  you can tell what children are communicating by looking at what their body language is really saying.
Find out what families and educators can do to help children to develop and thrive.
As teachers what should we add to the movement experience of the child?
All children communicate however abled they are, they can move in a way that is appropriate to them.  Our role is to understand and enable communications.
What happens when children are static?  We also discuss technology and its role in children's lives.
