SPEAKER_00

This week, on We Need to Talk, we talk Christy's retirement. Imperfect women. Is it Benny Cheat on Selena? Good morning, happy Sunday. Today I have a Fez Cal Fresca. I need a little pick me up today. I've had cocktails or drinks five days in a row. That's a record for me. Not for me, but okay. Well, you're winds, you're winding down. This is your last week of work. I know I have five work days left. That's fucking bonkers.

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god, your last week of work. Yeah, I only have two more office visits left. That's amazing. Good for you. And I can't even believe it. Let me hold up my Mezcal recipe for you. Amazing. Yeah, now I have all these lunches and dinners and coffees. Everybody wants to stop by to say goodbye. You're a lady of leisure soon.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I never know. Like, what's going to be the first thing that you do in retirement? Because you're already somebody who goes to the gym and does fucking puzzles. You do all this shit. So what's going to be the first thing outside of the norm? Well, I start my shift at the food bank on Thursday morning, May 7th for training. Oh God. I'm so excited for that. I can't even believe that is our choice. I wanted to do it for animals. What about with animals? Can't we do something with animals? I'm trying. I dropped my application off at doggy daycare, but so far no one's picked up on that. So can you believe the first job I might not get is the one to take care of dogs? I mean ridiculous. You've been taking care of dogs your whole life. Yeah. And I've gotten every job I've ever gone after except now this one. All right. Well, I mean, this is exciting. My idea is just to say yes. I'm not so regimented and I'm so scheduled. I just want to say yes. Someone asked me to do something? Sure. Why not? That's that attitude. Yeah. I'm more about saying no. I've been a no person my whole life. Well, I'm not a no person, but I want to be better at it. I've gotten better at it. Do you mean just saying no to plans or just you don't want to do something? You're just gonna say no. I mean, I got much better as I got older at saying no. I think women in general just aren't good at saying no. Yeah, yeah. I'm definitely much better, but I just shut myself down from things just because I'm so regimented and scheduled. So I'm gonna start saying yes to a few things. I also need to learn to be more spontaneous. Well, yeah, hard to do, but I'm not a person at all. No, we know. I get it. Yeah. Like I want to wake up, go to the airport, fly to Chicago, go to Cubs game, come home. Same day. I want to do that. I've never done that. I don't know if that's spontaneous or you actually need money to do all those things. Like I was out to go to Paris for dinner. That's not spontaneous. I don't have any fucking money. Good point. Yeah. All right, so maybe I need to think it over a little bit more, especially because I'm gonna be on a fixed income. I just feel like I'm always on the go. You are always on the go. You're never not on the go. And I also feel like, is everybody else on the go, or is it just me that's on the go? You are the most on the go person I know. This has been happening my whole life, but when you are somebody who doesn't have children, people assume that you should be on the go. I think that's what it is. Wait, are you trying to wait? All these years you've been trying to live up to everybody's expectations. No, I just feel like I don't know if everybody else is really on the go, but I'm on the go because I'm the one that doesn't have what they think is a responsibility. That's something you gotta talk to your therapist about. But people, I gotta say, I got to witness something that not a lot of people on this earth have gotten to see. I got to see Kay and Producer Ed actually look at their schedules together to put something on the calendar. Let me explain something to you. The last their schedule is a book. It's a book. The last thing I will ever do in this lifetime is go digital. And I will never share a fucking calendar with producer ed. Because just like I've said when I wouldn't be his Facebook friend back in the day, I don't want to know when you're going to the dentist. I don't want to know any of it. I don't care. So I do. No, I don't. So for us, logistics meetings, we call it. Yes, I have I've witnessed one. I have to break out the planner. Yeah, and it's a book, people. She's not particular about the pen or the font or anything, but there's a lot going on. It's a lot in the planner.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I do want to know when Rich's dentist appointment is. I keep track you care. I keep track of other people's schedules too in my circle. I need to know where my sister's gonna be at all times. Okay, I need to know when my stepmother is going to a baby shower, a bridal shower. So you write that in the I write it down. Oh, okay. I don't do that. I tell my people what they're doing. I'm like, all right. You're going to that person's shower. Yeah. Yeah. It's something to see. It definitely is something to see. All right. So busy week. Busy week coming up for you. Yes. You can't have the Sunday scaries when it's your last Monday. No, I'm jubilant. I know. I am jubilant. I am radiating joy every minute right now. Did you go to any good restaurants we should try? In the city? Yeah. Well, I'm not going to like a Mont Claire restaurant. Well, someday you might, but when you're on the go in New Jersey. We went to NJ Pack on Thursday for the Hasan Minaj Ronnie Chang show, which, if anybody is into comedy at all, this was brilliant. I don't know how they did it. They were both on stage at the same time. They did a racism thing about Asians versus versus Indians. So there's this diner in Newark, New Jersey called Topps Diner. And I've been hearing about it for years from many people. It was a regular diner, but in 2021, they did a $10 million renovation. I love a good diner. This diner is a destination diner. Really? You've never seen anything like it. The food is off the charts. The drinks are off the charts. But do people go to Newark, New Jersey to go to a diner? Yes, it has become a destination diner. I want to say it's number one in America. Could be wrong. It's definitely number one in New Jersey, but I've never been there. I was so excited to go. You need a reservation. You make a reservation at a diner. What is your diner order? Like back in the day. But back in the day, it was fries and gravy and grilled cheese. But I don't eat that kind of crap anymore. Fries with melted mozzarella. Oh my god. Yeah, I mean fries and cheese, fries and gravy, fries and cheese and gravy. So good. Grilled cheese and bacon. I mean, I did all that stuff. But now the diner in Tennefly, which is the Tennefly classic diner, I get the same salad every single time. I love it so much. Unless I'm doing breakfast, I do something different. They have the Southwestern salad that is just off the charts perfect. They do it chopped. It's fantastic. You know, Ed doesn't like diners. Why? Who's diners? And he grew up on Long Island. Long Island was full of diners. Why does he not like diners? Too many choices. I don't know. I think he's bugging. I love it. Toilet bugging. If you're ever in NJ Pack, go to Topp's Diner. All right. Also, the service that so many people. It's unbelievable. I don't see that in my future. Well, you never know. There could be something cool going on at NJ Pack. All right. All right. Great. Great. You know? So anyway, we did that. And last night I was out with my roommate from college and her husband. We went to this place we love on the Hudson River in Irvington called MP Taverna, which has the best paella. So we did that. We've been really busy this week. Yeah, busy. I like it. Hello. Did you get time to watch any of the draft? I mean, you know we love the draft. Kevin Costner, did you watch the movie? No, I know you watch the movie every time. I don't. Of course I watch the movie. But this year I liked that a lot of these large humans were home. Love everybody at home. Love them booing Roger. Love it all. It's just so great. Pittsburgh was hopping. It looked like they did a great job. He actually was funny when he so they boo him. They boo him every time. But he comes out. I like that he's embracing it at least. Yeah, he doesn't care. He comes out, he's like, you could do better, Pittsburgh. You can do better. Fucking great. Love the trap. I love all the videos then that are after, like the things we don't see. Like the family gets up, the dog takes the seat. I mean, it's just so good. Everyone's crying. That Mendoza family is a very well-dressed family. Yeah, they did a good job. What about this whole Diego Pavia? He was a semifinalist for the Heisman and goes undrafted. I know. That was crazy. I love the draft. I think my New York football Giants are gonna be good. The Jets had a good draft. Oh my god, I want to absorb every moment of this summer so I'm not rushing football season, but I'm excited. Yeah. Yeah. I'm excited. Feeling good. I'm feeling good. Feeling good. We love the draft. And of course, if you've not watched the movie Draft Day, great. It's one of my favorite movies of all time. And keeping on sports, our Yankees are, I don't know, maybe a little bit back on track. I'm not sure. We'll see. I know some of our listeners don't like our sports talk, but it is what it is. But this is not even sports talk. The fucking situation with the Patriots coach. Yeah, Mike Rabel. The V is silent. Is insanity now. Diana Rossini. So we said this last week. They were busted somewhere in Arizona. They both came out and said, no, we're with a bunch of people. No, no, no, no. All these no's. Nobody can produce a photo with any of these people that were supposedly now. All of a sudden, in 2020, they've been spotted together, canoodling. Old photos. Old photos. Holding hands in a bar. Correct. At the time she was not married, he was married. So Diana Rossini had a kid in 2022 named Michael. And she didn't know. She couldn't come up with another fucking name. Right. And then she tweets, holding baby Michael, saying, Oh, I'm trying to think of the best player coach named Michael. Yeah. Probably your baby daddy. Oh my god, it's so fucking good. So now what makes this terrible is that when you got busted in Arizona, I think now you needed to just own it. Instead, no, you look so bad by doubling down on this people and your baby is named after your lover. I just don't get it. Yeah, we need a DNA test, people. Listen, here's the thing, celebrities. I know you all listen to this show religiously. If you get caught, just say, yes, I did it. I'm sorry. Especially you're gonna get caught, people. There's no hiding. But especially, it's actually insanity. There's no hiding. I just don't know if you're talking about it. I'm cheating. If this fucking Selena story is true, I don't know if it's true or not. If he cheated on her, I'm gonna lose it. Benny Blanco shouldn't be cheating on anybody. If it's true, we need Travis Kelsey to handle him. I hope that Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are good. I really do. I do too. I don't want trouble. I really want them to stay together, especially if she's got a big wedding to deal with coming up with her best friend. I want them to be a happy couple at the wedding. It's gonna be one of the best weddings of all time. You know, come on. It's one of those things where it was out there, then it wasn't, and got smoshed quick. But you know how those things work. It's like when Timberlake, it's like some truth to it. Where there's smoke, there's fire. Yeah, but we're hoping not. What's the story with Kendall and her new uh? I mean, supposedly Kendall Jenner has been dating Jacob Alordy for a few months on the down low, and now they were making out at Coachella. Can you imagine Thanksgiving dinner? You got Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton, which I love. You got Kylie and Timothy Chalamet. Also love. You got Kendall and Jacob Alordy, great, and you got Courtney and Travis Barker. I can't deal with him, but still, this table's insane. I hope that story with Kendall is true. I mean, I know they were making out, but I don't know if they've been a couple for a month and so on. That'd be so sick if it was. Speaking of Coachella, what happened to Madonna's clothes? Yeah, so Madonna performed with Sabrina Carpenter in the outfit that she wore the last time she performed at Coachella. Apparently, somebody stole that outfit from her dressing room, and she's on social media offering a reward, no questions asked. It's from her archive, she wants it back. And as of this morning, the outfit is still missing. Who's stealing the outfit? I don't know. Some crazy people. Also, how does one get into the dressing room and walk out unnoticed with the outfit? Everything is crazy. As you know, I'm down that summer house rabbit hole. I'm glad you're not because it's really insane. And so they film the reunion, and parts of the audio get leaked. They don't know if it's production, they don't know if it's a cast member. Andy's fucking livid. Wait, what was on the audio that got leaked? What did they say? They're like attacking Wes and Amanda. Sierra said you're a snake. Oh, and the fact that you're a snake. I mean, it's great. It's great audio. But how to get out. You almost think like it's so great. It could be production. But now they're saying it was a cast member. Andy's making videos about it. And I have to wait a month before they show the reunion, which I cannot take another minute. Wow. I didn't realize that had happened. I don't know. Because I don't want I don't read anything. Because you're not down the rack. I don't read anything Summerhouse. My feed doesn't have Summerhouse in it. So I my feed is all Summerhouse. This whole scandal is all over my feed. Yeah, I have a lot of Rabel and Diana. You have Summerhouse. Well, I mean, I mean the Rabel thing, it actually is reality TV. It's so good. Because now he says he's getting counseling. Yeah, right. He didn't show up for day three of the draft. Speaking of reality, I don't like Real Housewives of Beverly Hills anymore, but the reunions are always great. I just love their outfits. I mean, they come onto the set in the most insane outfits. It's crazy what they're wearing. Bose was in this outfit that weighed 75 pounds. Bose is a good addition. I like the show. Yeah. I'm so over there. I'm so over De Reed. I'm so over Kyle. I'm over these people. But great reunion part one. We got two more parts. And I'm happy for Andy because I really think he had a home run with the Rhode Island Housewives. I have to catch up on them. Oh my god, it's great. I've only seen the first episode. I haven't caught up. It's what the housewives used to be. It's like raw and it's new. Yes, everybody's raving about it. I just haven't been able to catch up. It's great. He had a home run. That's so sidetracked. I don't know how you're able to keep up. I'm so sidetracked. Well, I'm sidetracked too. That's an easy watch. In about six days, you have plenty of time. Yes, you will. Yes, you will. What else are we watching? Well, I'll tell you what I'm not watching. Well, we have to Sullivan's Crossing. Yeah, do you need me to give you a little bit of a recap? So basically, you guys, for some reason, Kay can't watch Sullivan's Crossing. It's season four, episode one, dropped on Hulu. I was able to watch it no problem. Kay can't watch it. We don't know why. Oh, we know why, because now all of a sudden there's a new level of Hulu. So I must have that level then. Obviously, and Sullivan's Crossing is on this new level. I've always watched Sullivan's Crossing on Hulu. I am not one of the people who watched it when it dropped on Netflix. I watched it when the seasons came out. And now you're telling me, Hulu, that I had to pay more. So now I'm protesting Sullivan's Crossing. I can't believe this. Did they let you know it was changing? No, he didn't call me to tell me, Mr. Hulu. Mr. Hulu. Well, do you want me to recap it for you? Does anything ever happen anyway? So when season three ended, this guy named Liam shows up and says to Maggie, Hey, I'm your husband. So that's where we left off. So Netnet was many years ago. Maggie was spontaneous, met this guy over the summer. He was smoking hot and they had a tour affair and they got married on a whim. And then she got an annulment and he went on his merry way. So why is he saying that he's a husband? So basically, he's a photographer and a journalist, and he needs to move to Europe, even though that's probably a lie. He wants to move to Europe for work, and the European Travel Commission said that he's married and he needs a copy of the annulment papers in order for him to get his visa. I think that whole storyline's a crack of shit. Because do you have to say that you were married to get a visa? I don't know the answer. Anyway, what happened to the drama about the father? He's off the show. They act like it's nothing. He just went to Ireland with Helen on vacation. He's never coming back. Right now he's just on vacation. Okay. Just so stupid. But wait, going back to the other thing, you would think that if you got an annulment, you would have your paperwork. You would know where your documentation is. Well, Maggie can't find the paperwork. Of course not. So Cal says, Oh, that's easy. Call the lawyer that filed it for you, and they can just pull it out of their archives. And she says, I don't remember the name of the attorney. I mean, she's busy. Saving life. Saving life. Stupid. So anyway. So I'm not missing anything. Wait, you aren't you were missing one thing. So all right, get to get to it. So Cal and Liam can't stand each other. They end up in a log chopping contest with their shirts off. Oh my thing. Well, is it worth me upgrading my Hulu? I mean, I don't know. He is hot. He is hot. Two hot choppers with their shirts off. I don't know. So cute. He goes to the freaking Buffalo Sabres game. He's a big Sabre fan. Big Sabres guy. Oh my god, he's so cute. Yeah, Chad Michael. Chad Michael, I love you. Perfect hair. Chad, Chad, when he's chopping wood, the hair. Chad's definitely listening. And if he's listening right now, he should at least beg Hulu to let me watch the show. He should. If not, I will do weekly recaps just for you. Horrible. And a highlight of the week is I got to see my boy Conrad on Hacks. Yeah, I want to say, I feel like Hacks is gonna finish this series on the high note because this season already is excellent. And our boy Conrad was on. A little cringeworthy that he's kissing her. But I mean they were making out. They weren't just kissing, they were making out. But amazing. And I was wondering, you know how in real life his girlfriend is very jealous of? Yes. I was wondering, is his girlfriend jealous of Gene? Smart? I don't think so. Yeah. I was laughing. But yes, he looked beautiful. He was some rock star. It is the end of the show. So now is he gone? Because they made oh yeah, he's got oh, it's just a one and done kind of thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a bummer, but okay. The guy who was the sex worker was really cute. Yeah, he was cute. She fucked that up. Yeah. And now, so I guess they're gonna all own a casino, and that'll be that. Great. I love it. I love the show. It had a little ups and downs over the seasons, but in the end, great. The season is very good. Deserved all the awards that it got. It was great. Yeah. What else we got? We got Running Point that came back. Yeah, I haven't started Running Point yet, season two. He looks fabulous.

unknown

Who?

SPEAKER_00

Kate Hudson? Yeah. She really is really looking that whole family keeps themselves really, really well intact. Actually, wow. Those are mothers, those are step. I know, I know. Um, Running Point is a Netflix show, and it was cute. We liked it. It's the same thing this season. It's all cute. Yeah. It's about basically sort of like LA Lakers basketball team, family run, light and easy. Half-hour episodes. I think I'm on episode five or six. It goes so fast. Yes. But it's like the same thing as last season. So it's just fun and cute. Yeah. So I'm enjoying that. Have you continued watching Survivor Season 50 or no? Well, this has been a hot topic in the household because no, and my brother's mad at me, but now my brother wants to know what you think. And if you think Siri's gonna win and the whole nine yards, Ed wants to go back to it. So what are your thoughts? Is she Well, first of all, this past week, I don't know if Brother Paul told you this, but something happened that has never happened before, and it's all Jimmy Fallon's fault. So Jimmy Fallon said to Jeff Propes, here's some ideas for the show. And one of the ideas was you send someone on a journey, and if they win, they get to vote somebody out right on the spot. They get to cast their vote. If they lose, they have to write their own name down. So Christian, the Aspergery robotics guy, he went on the journey. He did not solve the puzzle. The puzzle gets pulled into the ocean and he has to vote himself off. He has to write his name down. But the thing is, you have to tell everybody what happened. So he had to tell them that he has to write his own name down, which basically made it easy for everybody because they were like, okay, well, that's easy. We can just vote Christian out now. Right. Right, right. So he got voted out and he was on the tonight show because even in the diary area or the confidential area where he's speaking to the camera, he's not happy with Jimmy Fallon because it was Jimmy Fallon's twist that that sent him home. So Jimmy Fallon had him on the show and apologized for his twist and basically said to Christian, You're young. Hopefully you'll get invited back to play again. Christian, he really wasn't happy, and he shouldn't have been. That was awful. Well, here's my problem with the season in general. That just adds to the reason why I stopped watching. Right. But I just felt like there was all these stupid things. We had the Billie Eilish twist. We got the Billie Eilish, the Zach Brown put me over the edge. We got the Jimmy Fallon. Like, I didn't even know that part. But really, what he's talking about is the Siri part and her social game. She's incredible. She's able to manipulate people and she's really bad at challenges. She always sits out. But it doesn't matter because she doesn't contribute the social game. Correct. She does not really contribute to camp in any other way, other than she is an excellent, excellent social player. Everybody loves her. And if she won, good on her. She deserves to win. Yeah, but other people are playing a good game too. There are other players playing well. So I wouldn't be shocked if Sari won. She deserves to win. Honestly, Rizzo's playing a decent game. There's a lot of people playing good games. Like Joe, who I love. How many more episodes are there? Um is it widening down though? It will be done at the end of May. It's always done by the end of May. Okay. All right. All right. So that's our survivor update. Thank you very much. Really good. Really, really good. A couple of other things I want to mention because last week we only talked about series finales. Right. The show Imperfect Women. Holy crap. Is a good show. See, this is what I mean. This is why I thought when you compare it, I know it's not apples to oranges, but two shows come out at the same time: DTF and Imperfect Women. Imperfect Women, you know, you're on the edge of your seat every week. There's little twists and turns. DTF was just fucking depressing. Yeah. And this Imperfect Woman started out one way. Yes. And has taken a completely different turn. I am riveted and can't wait for the finale. So the finale is only one more episode left. Yes. And this Corey stole, damn, is he good? Yeah, it's great. The acting in it is really great. They're all good, but what a turn it's taken. Yeah. So I'm enjoying that. That's on Apple. It's eight episodes, people, and it's honestly a definite stream it situation. Yeah, I agree. I think it is a stream it as opposed to DTF, which I said is not a stream it. Skip it. And are you giving Rooster a stream it or skip it? I'm on the fence. Yeah, I know. I am finishing it. I finish it. I don't hate it. No, I don't hate it. It's just not special. I'm not laughing out loud. I've read things that said, oh, when you're grieving, the fact that shrinking is over. No. Watch Rooster. I'm like, no fucking way. Just re-watch shrinking, or I was with my roommate from college yesterday and they loved Ted Lasso and re-watched Ted Lasso and they loved it just as much the second time as they did the first. I know. Like that's the stuff that you have to watch. That's what you rewatch. Yeah, absolutely. And I hate to say it also because you know how much I love him, but that Dan Levy show uh big mistake. Big mistakes. It's on Netflix. Eight episodes also, I think. But they're half hours, they fly by. They do. Lori Metcalf steals the show. Lori Metcalf is so good, but the voice is like going through me, and everyone's screaming all the time. Now, granted, in my household, everyone's screaming all the time, also. And maybe that's why it's triggering for you. Honestly, I just came back from Italy. I'm laughing because I say it to Ed. We're in I'm getting a blowout, of course. Yeah. Of course. And he's waiting for me and sitting there, and everyone is just screaming, but like regular conversation screaming. Right. Screaming, screaming, screaming, and talking in Italian. And he's like, I can't even relax. Everyone's screaming. I go, This is what we do. Everyone's just screaming. But I feel like that show is so loud. It is loud. I put it on this morning. Everyone's sleeping in this house. I put it on this morning. I have to lower the volume. Yeah, I just find her scene stealing behavior great. Is the show a stream it show? Again, like a rooster. It's not special. It's bizarre. Yeah. I mean, he's a priest, and then they get involved with the mob. I mean, I don't know. I mean, it's not bad. No, it held my attention. I watched it all. I enjoyed it. But would I stake my reputation on you must see this? No, definitely not. No. No. I only watched a half episode of Beef. Now, Beef came back. Remember, Beef won awards. Yeah. Beef came back, but it's a totally different story. With none of the same cast. Right. Which is what I said. I don't know why they called it Beef. Me either. I think it's people who have beef with each other. Yeah, that's but okay. So it's getting good reviews. It's good. This one takes place in a country club. Yeah, I like that part. Sort of like the haves versus the have nots situation in a way, but verdict's still out. I'm not sure. All right. So we'll get back to that one. We'll get back to you on beef. And the only other thing I want to point out is that James Marzin, his addition to your friends and neighbors is really all I need in life. It's so good. We're behind. I'm I didn't see this Friday's episode yet. Well, spoiler he has sex with Olivia. And that's all you need. That's fine. That's fine. That's all you need in life. It's just great. And guess what? I don't have to pay extra Hulu to have James and Olivia have sex. True. What about are you up to date with Margot's Got Money? I am cute. We mentioned this last week. I like it a lot. We talked about Michelle Pfeiffer. Elfanning is great. Yeah. And yeah, it's cute. I mean, I know the storylines, but definitely good. It's also a half-hour episode, but they drop weekly. Do you recognize the roommate who she is? Oh. The one who's filming all of her content. Should I know? No, I don't think so. Who is she? She's the detective from Bad Sisters. Oh, nice. Yeah. Good for her. Right? Good. Yeah. That's right. And Nick Offerman's great. He I was listening to him on Good Hang with Amy Polar, and he was explaining how he had to get jacked for the job. He does look jacked. He is. He specifically had to get jacked for the job. What about Nicole Kidman? I wasn't prepared for that. So you guys, Nicole. I didn't know. Nicole Kidman is a ex-restler. Michelle Pfeiffer is now becoming Nicole Kidman because she's in all the things. And there they are together. Yeah, and Nicole Kidman is dressed like Wonder Woman. Oh my God. She's she looked insane. She looked insane. She's a rat, you know, an older wrestler who used to work with Nick Offerman's character's name is Jinx, and he was a wrestler. And they go to one of those conventions. So there she is in her outfit. And it's just amazing. There's eight episodes of that show. There's four left. So we've only seen the first four. All right, great. I mean, I I'm enjoying it. Me too. Like, how often do you go to get your nails done now that you're going to be a lady of leisure? Yeah. So I've been going maybe once or twice a month, but I think I'm going to add once or twice a month? Yeah, but currently, because I type so much for work, I don't get my fingers done. I I get them just I just get clear and I get my toes done. But now that I'm not gonna be working, I can get colors again on my fingers. So I'm gonna go back. I'm gonna hopefully go once a week, maybe once every other week. So painful. Like it's so annoying. Like I'm looking down, I'm like, I need a manicure so bad. I tried those, you know, back in the day in the 80s. We used to get the fucking press-on nails. And now, like people use it. My cousin's nails look beautiful all the time. She uses press-on nails. I buy them, they pop off. It's so stupid. I refuse to get gel. I refused. Yeah. I tried gel once. I don't like that machine that you have to use to grind them off. I don't like sitting that long. I just don't like the whole thing. It's all painful. I don't like sitting that long either, but then I get a manicure, I leave, and then it's already smudged. It's over. No, I sit until I dry, but I don't like the 150 bucks to get a manicure. Yeah, it's just I'm gonna be on a fixed income. Can't have $150 nails. You gotta prioritize here. My toes are important. You gotta prioritize. Yeah. All right. Is there anything else before we go to our game? I don't think there is. I need some mezcal talking too much. The only thing that I had, which was not about a show, is I wanted to treat myself as a gift to fixing my ear holes because of all my earring problems. Yeah. And there's a whole new added complexity to this because now there's lab grown diamonds and real diamonds. So I was gonna treat myself to a pair of earrings and get diamond earrings. You're rewarding yourself for a lifetime of work. For of complete 40-year career. You deserve it. Yep, with integrity. I was thinking about diamond earrings, but a pair of nice, juicy, real diamond earrings are probably like 15 grand, 20 grand. Yeah. But you could get two carats in each year of lab grown for like 2,500, 3 grand. What's lab grown? Like a cubic zirconia? No, no, no, no. Like now they make in a lab diamonds that are identical. You can't tell them apart. They're certified lab grown, but you could put them in front of anybody who knows diamonds and they're made of the same properties. One is just made from the earth, one is made in a lab. But so what I learned is some friends of mine's kids recently got engaged and got a lab diamond? Well, now just why wouldn't anybody do that now? Well, what's happening is the diamond business is sort of in trouble because younger people, just like the liquor industry is changing because of this younger generation, they can't afford shit. They want nice well, they don't work, they don't work. Well, the ones that even do who want to get engaged, many of them, in fact, most of them, are opting for lab grown because you can get a much bigger stone. But where do you get the lab grown? You go to go to a jeweler? Yes. And you say I want a lab grown diamond? When you're buying jewelry, if I'm in, I don't know, Tiffany's or one of these stores, those are not lab-grown. You know, that's a great question. I don't know if Tiffany's carries lab grown, but other jewelers do. So you went to a jeweler. I haven't done no. I've I talked to my girlfriend, she showed me something that she purchased that was spectacular, and then told me it was lab grown, which you would never have a clue. Especially, you know, if you're the kind of person who has always worn beautiful things, who's gonna suspect you're wearing a lab-grown anything? But it's not even like that anymore. It's not even like got a stigma attached to it. Yeah, right. Nobody cares. Right. So this lab grown thing has added this whole year of compliment. Yeah. So I'm I want something lab grown. I'm gonna do the research and I'm gonna get back to you on all of it. I feel like I'm not retiring, and I should have something lab grown anyway. Well, you know what? Your husband can celebrate you with a lab grown anything. Anything, absolutely, birthday, Christmas. But I need you to do the research. I'm gonna do all the research and I'm gonna come back to you all. But what I wanted to say is, especially you and I both know a lot of younger people, when they get engaged and you talk about your, you know, all the different nuances that you need to talk about before you would get engaged. Now they need to talk about lab grown versus real diamond. It's like a whole other thing. This world is fucking hard, and everything is a million fucking dollars. So I never understood like you spent a million dollars on a ring and then you have a million dollars on a wedding and nobody has a place to live. So if you can get a lab-grown diamond, do it, go for it, people. Yes, I'm gonna do all the due diligence, and the goal is to get a pair of two carrot in each ear studs in my ears. But you have a jeweler, not right now. I do not. I mean, I do, but I don't, like I haven't engaged my jeweler yet. Because I think we used your jeweler, which like the guy in the city, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because I don't have a jeweler, but I actually use jewelry in a long time. And we used your jeweler back in the day. Yes, this I think Stanley Zell and Sons. All right. So can you do the research? I'm gonna do the research. I'm gonna get the lab diamonds. Yes, okay. All right, anyway, I digress. Okay, so last week we talked about after speaking about the show The Madison, we talked about the fact that happily married couples are never really a big deal on TV. So that was that led me down the rabbit hole of all these happily married couples. So this week is happily married couple trivia in general, not on TV. No, on TV. Oh, on TV, okay. Yeah, and I made this very easy. It doesn't matter. Okay. So, favorite show of all time, Friday Night Lights. What are Coach and Mrs. Taylor's first name? Is it Mike and Susan, Jack and Linda, or Eric and Tammy? Eric and Tammy.

First of all, they came up number one, but then midway through the 20, Chat puts them again and says, they're so good, they're worth putting in twice. That's that's your friend Chad. She's my best friend. You're gonna have a lot of time to spend together now. Yeah, we're oh my god. Now? Holy crap. Okay, on Everybody Loves Raymond, Ray and Deborah were very happily married, even though they fought a lot. They were happily married. Where did they live? Did they live in California, New York, or Florida? They live in New York Yes, yes, yeah, on Long Island, yeah. Okay, another happily married couple was on the show Blackish, Andre and Rainbow. And the question is, how many kids did Andre and Rainbow have? Did they have three, four, or five kids?

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god, really?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Uh I don't know the answer to this. I'm gonna say that what is it, three, four, or five? I'm gonna say they have four kids. Yes, two of the guys. I have no idea. Excellent. Excellent. Good job. Okay, I was kind of not sure if I should include That was a good show. Really good. I wasn't sure if I should include these people just because of the controversy, but at the end of the day, one of the best couples in TV history is Claire and Cliff Huxtable from the Cosby show. I still controversial. Controversial. But what did Claire and Cliff do for a living? Were they a lawyer and a doctor, a doctor and a lawyer, or a teacher and a nurse? A lawyer and a doctor. So who was what? Who was what? She was the lawyer. Yeah, yes. Four for four. I will say, I know it's very controversial, but before it was controversial, I love that show. Yes, of course. Yeah. Yes. Okay. Last question. On parks and recreation, Leslie Nope got married to the best guy on the planet. Was it Chris Traeger, Ron Swanson, or Ben Wyatt? I don't know. Um, you know. Do I? Yes. Um, this is the final question. I know. Uh I'm gonna say, I'm gonna go with Ben. Yeah! Oh, he's so cute. I love married couples. Married couples agree. The married couples agree, and you know, I stand by what I said, and this is that was a good game. The Madison is about a happy couple, like good, absolutely, yeah. Hopefully, we have a Knicks getting out of this round, but God knows, Godspeed everyone. All right, love ya, love ya.
