SPEAKER_00

You guys think you're gonna talk about the Knicks?

SPEAKER_01

You know, our fans don't really like what we talk sport. This week, um, we need to talk. We talk New York knickerbockers, and I don't know, some other stuff. I don't know. Let's go next! Holy shit. I honestly didn't think you'd make it. So crazy. I've been crying all fucking morning.

SPEAKER_02

I can't even believe you guys slept.

SPEAKER_01

I didn't sleep. Maybe I went into bed at 2 2 30. And I'm watching every wheel. I'm crying my eyes out. I don't know what to do.

SPEAKER_02

It's just nuts. This is so exciting time. Although I really don't like them lighting buses on fire. I don't like that. What does that prove? We're so great we can light a bus on fire. Like, I just don't get the mindset.

SPEAKER_01

Some of the wheels that I saw, it actually like the good stuff, people celebrating in the street in every borough.

SPEAKER_02

My favorite thing of all is when you look at all the different videos, the moment of the final ah, like quiet, quiet, quiet. Ah, I love that.

SPEAKER_01

I watch a million of those. Did you see my friend sent it to me this morning? The CBS Sports Instagram one. I'm gonna forward you. It's not a video, you're gonna love it. It's just like so spot on, it makes you cry. No, but just look at it for a second and then we'll then we'll start. I mean, that is amazing what they did with the boy with every jersey. Oh my god. In every stage of the boy's life. You know?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, this is Ed.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, it's the best thing I've ever seen.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I gotta send that. Add to my story. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

How many stories am I posting today? A million. All right.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my gosh, that's so good.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I need the sneakers. All right, let's go. I need the sneakers.

SPEAKER_02

I need the Jalen Brussels. The merch is gonna go insane. You realize that.

SPEAKER_01

I bought like three things on the train last night. I don't even know what I bought. I had to buy something from Barstool, even though fuck him, but they do drop great. I bought something from Fanatics. I couldn't get downstairs fast enough because we were we were watching like Jalen get his award. Right. So then the line was nuts, and we wanted to try to get out of the city and make the train. Right. So yeah. All right, let's start. I feel like I started already. I gotta go coach.

SPEAKER_02

You gotta thank God. I gotta thank Jesus. The drought is over.

SPEAKER_00

It's been 53 years my fucking lifetime. Oh the FBA. Your voice is gone. I have not slept. I have cried my eyes out.

SPEAKER_01

I'm a fucking mess. I'm a fucking mess. And I will say that it is epic. It is epic. And everybody, listen, to my listeners, to our listeners, we love you. We know some of you said you don't like sports. And I apologize. It doesn't matter if you don't like sports. This is New York City time. We have united as one. The city was electric in every part, in every borough, everywhere. I actually saw footage of fucking England at 3 a.m. freaking out in a pub. The world loves the New York Knickerbockers and not so much just the organization, because you know, fuck Dolan.

SPEAKER_02

But watching him get the trophy made my skin crawl.

SPEAKER_01

Fuck Dolan. But this team, these men are amazing. Yeah. OG and heart. And for all those doubters out there about is Jalen the clutch player that people say he has. Well, yes, he is. Because 45 fucking points last night shows you that he puts the team on his back and he gets the fucking win in San Antonio. Holy shit, good morning.

SPEAKER_02

Good morning.

SPEAKER_01

What a night last night. They're paying.

SPEAKER_02

I just can't even believe it.

SPEAKER_01

What a night we went to Radio City for the watch party. Yeah, that looked amazing. It was fucking epic. Now it's the best decision I've ever made, but paying extra on the secondary market, because we obviously weren't lucky enough to get the $10 ticket. Paying extra could have wound up being a horrible move, but a great move. Celebrated in a confined space, you know, with every safe location. Yes, everybody going nuts, ex Nick's there, you know, old Knicks there, and the Knicks City dancers, the confetti, the people going on. It looked like New Year's Eve. It was unbelievable. It was unbelievable.

SPEAKER_02

I'm so glad you guys got to do that. That looked so cool.

SPEAKER_01

The tears we were running to the train. Grand Central was electric. The train was filled with people flipping out. We go running to our local bar and we get home. They're still at the bar. We're all crying. Like it's one in the morning, people. What am I doing? I have not slept. I have not slept.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you're running on adrenaline.

SPEAKER_01

I am running on adrenaline. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_02

Do you think you're gonna crash?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't know when I'm gonna crash July. Maybe in July. I'm gonna crash in July because right now I'm going through June with the happiness. You gotta get through to Thursday. You gotta get to the parade. I gotta do all the things. I gotta do it all. You and I have said this. We've been talking about it. The love that let's say Dylan, your son, has for this team, amazing. A night like last night, my God, so happy for him, so happy for the young kids, so happy for Timothy Chalamet. But for the love of God, if you are us, right, if you are my whole life, if you are Patrick Ewing, I can tear up right now with the Patrick Ewing. If you are Walt Clyde, if you come from a family of Nick's lovers, and you think of all the memories, and MSG, it's just nothing like it. It's nothing like it.

SPEAKER_02

It's just it is wild. It's our whole life.

SPEAKER_01

It's our whole life.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's unbelievable.

SPEAKER_01

But Timothy Shallab, congratulations. You gotta give some cred. Dude, he was so funny. He's in the locker room getting champagne all in his eyes. And he said, I don't know, I'm an actor. I have stunt doubles in this. I fucking cracked up. Cracked up laughing. It's so good. Ben Stiller.

SPEAKER_02

You know, he's doing a documentary based on his iPhone footage.

SPEAKER_01

What he's done so far has been incredible. Yes. And now he's putting it all together.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I cannot wait to see it.

SPEAKER_02

And it's all iPhone footage. So it's gonna be insane how he does it.

SPEAKER_01

I'm so happy. Like when when Wemby missed that guy, Wemby. Ed keeps saying he's young, he's inexperienced about how to address the media. But even last night when he says see and never, I'm like, what the fuck? This guy, get the fuck out of here.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, no class, no grace, no nothing.

SPEAKER_01

But when he missed his free throw, when he oh hi Timmy, Timmy's excited too. Nobody slept. When he missed his free throw, the sound in the Spurs stadium was as if they were home at MSJ. Like I I keep watching that over and over.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, there were so many Knicks fans there, so great.

SPEAKER_01

It really is. It's unbelievable. And and obviously, we also need to talk about because now, because they won the game before this game. Obviously, you want to win in five Cree. But that is why I kept saying MSG had their night. Right. That game goes down in the history box. People are going to ask you where you were when the Knicks came back from a 29-point deficit and OG's bucket. They are gonna ask you where you were. They had it. So that's why I wanted to come home champions, and that is what we did. Yeah, because Jalen Brunson put the fucking team on his back. I mean, that guy is wow. And what's the first thing he does when he becomes a fucking champion? He goes and hugs the other coach. That's the first fucking thing he does. Class act. He's a class act act. He's a class act. He really is. And look at his whole family.

SPEAKER_02

He was speechless. He had no words.

SPEAKER_01

He had no words. He had no words. He was crying. Josh Hart was behind him. Oh geez. The brothers, their fathers, cat and him and the mom. I can't take it. That's crazy. I just can't take it. But that that epic comeback the other night.

SPEAKER_02

That was the sickest thing ever.

SPEAKER_01

If there's anybody out there, if there's anybody that has the nerve to look me in the eye and say I knew they were gonna come back, fucking bullshit. I was at the bar, it was fucking we were gonna turn it off. I was miserable. I fucking come home. Ed follows shortly after. We're all miserable. He's about to turn on the boys, you know, a TV show. And the craziest thing about this Miniola apartment is that even with the air conditioner on and the windows closed, the bar across the street, when something happens, you hear it.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

So I am on my phone with the game, but I hear the explosions. I'm like, this is it. And then all of a sudden, like, now I'm pacing, I'm up, I'm in the hallway, I don't know where I want to be. And then you don't go to sleep. There's no sleep. Now I'm open up till 2 a.m. Like, what the fuck is everyone talking about?

SPEAKER_02

That's why I can't go to a watch party because I'm a pacer. I have to pace my house.

SPEAKER_01

I'm a pacer too.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know how you sat in your house.

SPEAKER_01

I was I didn't. I was making friends with the people outside of Radio City, me and the security guard appearing in the window at the door because I couldn't take it, I couldn't watch. We're all crying, laughing, and then crying the celebratory crying. I'm a such a pacer. I have to pace. Even the strangers at the bar who saw me pace the other night were like, I don't know how you made it in the city. I'm like, I know, right? You know, back in the old new Yankee Stadium, where you like in the new Yankee stadium, as everyone knows, it's open. Right. So when you're walking around to different parts of the stadium, you can see the action. Right in the old Yankee Stadium, you had to go like in the dungeon. Yeah. And so you didn't see or hear anything from basic. Like we were friends with all the people in our section back in the day before there was like stophouse. When we were making our run in '96, and everyone was like, You gotta go in the dungeon. You gotta get you gotta get up. Just go in the dungeon. I would pace back and forth in the dungeon.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I pace in my house. Could never do these watch parties. I would I would just be so anxious, I'd panic. Oh, God, it's insane.

SPEAKER_01

And you know, in Portnoy, I know you're listening. I bought your shirt yesterday. So you know I haven't decided what I'm buying yet. And you know, you know, I love the tea by the sea. I love it all, Dave. And I appreciate that you saved my local bowling alley, all the things that you've done. But shut the fuck up, right? Because you're just a hater from Boston, you're a fucking hater, and you don't have any celebrities that want to fucking watch the Celtics. And so now you want to fucking make fun of our people. And you want to make fun of Timothy? All right, but if you go back to who was sitting there in the 90s, they were there the same fucking people, the same people, yeah. Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld and Ben Stiller and all of them.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, even John Tim.

SPEAKER_01

Johnny Mac, Johnny Mac, yeah. I mean, a lot of them he wanted to make fun of. Yeah, you want to make fun of Taylor Swift, you want to talk about Timothy? All right, but you're not talking about our generation.

SPEAKER_02

No, stop it. The new generation is still the new generation. You gotta welcome them in.

SPEAKER_01

Although I did break, I did break up with Taylor this week.

SPEAKER_02

I know you did.

SPEAKER_01

No, I did, no, I did. We had a breakup song. I get it. I I may write a breakup song. I'll give AI write me a breakup song about my model do it for you.

SPEAKER_02

I love her, but I was pissed off. If you're gonna go, you don't bring LA people to that that is infuriating, right? Like they have no reason to be there. None.

SPEAKER_01

They they sit courtside in fucking LA. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Why are they taking up two spots?

SPEAKER_01

Why are they there? So you want to tell me that she's a Knicks fan, blah, blah, blah. Okay, fine, you were there, you go to the Knicks. But I watched you pour beer down your fiance's throat courtside in Cleveland, and now you show up courtside with the LA indie rock band.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, make no sense.

SPEAKER_01

Makes zero sense to me, Tyler. We need to make better choices. I said this when Trump was coming. Why does it have to be about these people? And it becomes about it. And then the fact that Monica has to apologize after insulting, not necessarily insulting, but saying why she's here. She's a Nick fan. And then Jalen Brunson shouts out the Swifties last night after winning the championship and says, Be nice to her, Swifty. She didn't mean it. Like, I mean, that's hilarious. Again, Jalen's a class act. So I think we broke up.

SPEAKER_02

You can't break up with her. Some people make mistakes. If she gets married at MSG, we are really fucking broken up. She is not getting married at MSG.

SPEAKER_01

She makes mistakes. She's wearing that fucking stupid shirt.

SPEAKER_02

The shirts were stupid.

SPEAKER_01

I was upset that Mariska had it on too.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you know, her cats are named after Mariska, so well, yeah. Mariska loves her. Yeah, but also she loves her.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and it's a it's a love fest, everyone. The relationship between Mariska and Jalen, it makes me cry too. I can't take it. I need all the merch. We need the documentary. I need the show. I need the documentary. I need everything. I'm not sleeping till July. I'm not sleeping till July. That parade is gonna take it insane. How about Scooter Braun sitting four rows behind because they won't let Sydney Sweeney on the fucking I mean that's an interesting decision? That's an interesting decision. And how about Taylor? Because you're so full of shit. How about you embracing Kylie? That was unbelievable. That is insane.

SPEAKER_02

I couldn't get over it.

SPEAKER_01

But maybe the New York Knickerbockers have the everybody together.

SPEAKER_02

If they can bring them together, they can bring anybody together. They are world peace, everyone. World peace.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god. I can't.

SPEAKER_02

Now Scooter Braun's dad is a Scooter Braun went to fucking San Antonio too. Scooter Braun and his brothers and his dad and everybody, they're huge, huge Knicks fans. Yeah, but I hate. I know, but his dad was. Did you see his dad? His dad was in tears. Yes. Like in tears.

SPEAKER_01

Because that's what I mean.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_01

Like that. People that have suffered. Yes. We were jumping up and down so much. And you know what I loved about the beauty of Radio City is that it was filled with all types of people, right? So people who got maybe $10 tickets, brought their kids. Right. And then the people behind us were the older men. They were crying. So it was filled with everything.

SPEAKER_02

It looked like it was great. I could never do that. I would have.

SPEAKER_01

But of course, when we're when we have a fucking shitty first, second, after everything, and they're busting the music, like, let's go, Knicks fans. I'm like, oh God, this guy's got to stop. Furious. Until the end, where I'm dancing around to New York, New York.

SPEAKER_02

I love when Jalen says we just get to the game a little late. The game doesn't start until nine for us. We're 30 minutes late in the game.

SPEAKER_01

Everything was so good. All their speeches. This team is just so likable.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, they're just great people. They're good guys. Wemby is a fucking dick.

SPEAKER_01

Wemby's asshole.

SPEAKER_02

F Wemby.

SPEAKER_01

You know, who are you? Like, who are you? Like, even Reggie Miller wouldn't be such a dick to the press.

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_01

This guy is a tool.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

This guy's a tool. And maybe to France. Maybe he turns it around because he's a fucking kid, but I don't know. I don't know. Oh my God.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not a fan of his at all.

SPEAKER_01

Like, is there anything else to talk about? Like, I don't even know if what are we talking about? You want me to talk about sweet Magnolia after what fucking happened to me last night?

SPEAKER_02

I mean, we have a job to do.

SPEAKER_01

I may not go back to work. Oh my God. Okay. Well, uh, is there anything else you want to say about it?

SPEAKER_02

Look, you said it all. I don't think I even said anything. But I, you know, I'm a Knicks fan, but I'm not like you guys, and I'm not like my son. I'm actually so happy for all of the Knicks fans. I'm happy for New York. I'm happy for everybody who has just put up with this their whole life. I mean, I've been there in a way, but not like you all. So I'm just so happy for all of you.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, it's just, it's, it's unreal. I'm only eating and drinking blue and orange today. I don't know. I gotta get a bagel. I don't know what I'm gonna do.

SPEAKER_02

I have to get some of those bagels to bring up.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, definitely.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

All right, okay, fine. All right. Where do we go? Where do we go?

SPEAKER_02

I don't even know.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I mentioned sweet magnolias. They did have a New York City first episode. I only watched two episodes. It's it's actually fucking painful. I was gonna make a margarita and pour it out until I became a champion, so now I'm having champagne. But all the it was fun to see all the fun spots in New York City in their first episode. That was kind of cool.

SPEAKER_02

They hit all the like top-notch yes places, they just look like such fish out of water.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. But I mean, the show, I know you've gotten further in the show because we discussed this. I've only seen two episodes. It's painful, it's so bad. And you know I'm gonna finish it, but it's it's hard, it's really hard. So that is on Netflix. It's season, what is it? Season what?

SPEAKER_02

I don't even know.

SPEAKER_01

Five five. I think it's season five of sweet magnolias. All right, pour it out, check it out. How do you compare it now that you're further along? I hate it. It's I know, but how do you compare it to what's happening in Sullivan's Crossing, which is worse?

SPEAKER_02

What's worse? Did Sullivan's Crossing end? No, there's two more episodes of Sullivan's Crossing. I need it to die. Yeah, I've well, I can't watch it. And then I have two more episodes of Sweet Magnolia. I can barely get through it, it's just become so preachy and so righteous. And I feel like every single scene they're trying to teach you a lesson, and nobody speaks like that. The way they're speaking is not even normal anymore. I just don't get it.

SPEAKER_01

Well, maybe it's time. I mean, look, we we love the Swisher family, but maybe it's time that the show says goodbye.

SPEAKER_02

It needs to end.

SPEAKER_01

We say goodbye to Serenity, that is on Netflix. Then we had a new show on Hulu called Alice and Steve. It's a British show. It's with she was in the split, and we loved the split.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, Nicola Walker plays Alice. I've never seen the guy that plays Steve before. This show's only six episodes. It was renewed for a second season. I didn't think it was going to be a second season.

SPEAKER_01

Let's talk about it. I didn't hate it. I didn't hate it at all. I enjoy it. I really like her. I loved the split. I thought that was a really well-done show. It's a fucked up concept. So the concept.

SPEAKER_02

So the concept is that Alice and Steve are best friends. Alice is married for the second time. Steve is divorced, and Steve ends up sleeping with Alice's daughter and falling in love, I guess, and also getting her pregnant. And the daughter's 26 years old and Steve's in his 50s.

SPEAKER_01

But what are your thoughts on this though? So if one of your friends started dating Dylan, that's a problem.

SPEAKER_02

I couldn't do it.

SPEAKER_01

If one of your best friends if you started dating Dylan, that's disgusting. That's disgusting. Let's not use me, let's use somebody else. Okay. So one of your friends, okay, shout out to, I don't know, Diane, Regina, shout out to these people. Right.

SPEAKER_02

Diana Regina decides to date Dylan. Right. And fall in love. And fall in love and have a baby. What happened? I I mean, I could never even look at either one of them in the face. Right. I couldn't even look at them in the face. I felt like Alice's reaction was an accurate reaction. And she had a meltdown. She went crazy.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, she I don't know that I would go crazy like she did. On both sides, if we won't say it so that you watch it, on both sides, it was very drastic about how they reacted. So my friend, and we got an apartment, my roommate, she started dating my brother.

SPEAKER_02

Really?

SPEAKER_01

And but they're the same age. We are like four and a half year difference. So no it's not like 50 and 25. I understand, but I was going to vomit. They were in the room next door and I was going to explode. No, I couldn't take it then. You imagine if it was your kid and a 25-year difference. I can't. Well, we know Regina and Diane, but never, but I'm just saying, shout out if it did. Terrible.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, I couldn't even deal with that.

SPEAKER_01

Anyway, the show is six episodes. It is enjoyable, and I'm glad it got renewed. I'm interested to see where we go. I liked the way it ended, though.

SPEAKER_02

So it didn't have to be renewed.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_02

If it ended the way it did, I kind of like the way they did that. But it's coming back. And supposedly it's only coming back for one more season.

SPEAKER_01

I think Ed was in the background. And so the man fell asleep and started watching it because it was on. And he enjoyed it. So it wasn't like It was just like a girly, you know, it's not sweet magnolias, everyone.

SPEAKER_02

No, oh my gosh, sweet magnolias is terrible.

SPEAKER_01

All right. So before we talk about anything else new, we said last week that we would discuss the ending of your friends and neighbors.

SPEAKER_02

Right. Because now we believe people watched it.

SPEAKER_01

And if they didn't, I'm sorry. We gave you, we gave you a week. So at the end of your friends and neighbors, our beloved James Martin kicks the bucket.

SPEAKER_02

Right. It's not fine to me because I think he made the show.

SPEAKER_01

I do, but now I think we're gonna have Joshua Jackson, right? Yeah, but James Martin's so good. I know he is so good. If there are ideas to bring on like a new character in the seasons, I kind of like that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, they resolved some of these monetary issues, but not all of them. Amanda Pete killed the dog. Yeah, that's fucking nuts. I hated that. Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_01

Last week you thought that Joshua may come on as his brother.

SPEAKER_02

Now I don't think it's his brother.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't think it's his brother either. I thought he was such a good addition. I thought the ending was crazy. Here's what we don't know.

SPEAKER_02

We don't know who kidnapped John Hamm. We don't know who did that yet. No, because we thought we knew, but they said they did it. Right. So it could be Barney's father-in-law. He could be involved in this somehow. No, I don't know. Could be that chick cricket.

SPEAKER_01

It's so far-fetched and so crazy.

SPEAKER_02

Could be the pawns, the pawn shop lady. We don't know.

SPEAKER_01

But yet so well done.

SPEAKER_02

The neighbors with the dog and Amanda Pete, that's a side thing. Olivia Munn, her situation is also crazy because once they find that James Martins at the bottom of that lake, she's gonna be a suspect.

SPEAKER_01

Barney has a story. Like everyone has a story. Everybody has a story. Remember watching season one in the beginning, thinking, like, oh my god, so stupid. Now he's gonna be a thief. Once you get past that, I mean it became one of my top five shows of last year. And this season blows last season away.

SPEAKER_02

The one thing that continues to bother me, though, is the housekeeper that's his partner in crime. Yeah. She needs some money. She doesn't need a lot of money. She needs like 80 grand. And they can't pay her. Barney and John Hamm can't pay her any money and get her problem resolved.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but I don't get that. She does a good job of telling them why she actually needs this money. ASAP. She has to go to John and be like, I'm going to die. Right. These guys are going to kill me. They're going to kill me. That hasn't happened. Yeah. Yeah. Communication's always a problem. Well, we're excited for the next season. They spit him out rather quickly. So it's going to be great. Watch John Hamm on all his interviews. He's fucking amazing.

SPEAKER_02

So good. Listen, that show turned me into a John Hamm fan.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, so James Marzon is always great. Next year we'll have Joshua. So I'm looking forward to it. And if you have not, watch it.

SPEAKER_02

Watch it. You won't remember what we said. So the spoilers are not that big of a deal.

SPEAKER_01

You gotta watch it, definitely. All right. So I have to at least mention the fact that part three of the Summer House Reunion, the final part, but it's not the final part. They have like a bonus episode next week, which is such horseshit. Really? But I know why Andy's doing it and I get it. She's everyone else is trying to profit off of the situation, and I understand why, but it didn't need to be dragged out in three weeks because a lot has actually changed in real time. You've seen them go to Italy, you see them come back. To watch it now is kind of painful. But I will say I've learned nothing in three hours of this weekend. And they're on some type of crazy ass drugs. I don't think it's beta blockers that they admitted taking beta blockers. But I mean, to my knowledge, beta blockers don't make you a fucking zombie. They're zombies.

SPEAKER_02

They all are taking beta blockers while they're at the reunion, like they're all zombies on the reunion. Wes and Amanda. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Wes has at least admitted to taking beta blockers and the SM. They show no emotion whatsoever. The entire cast is crying and they're sitting there stone faced.

SPEAKER_02

It's unbelievable. I mean, I don't even watch this, but I see what's going on.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, I'll watch the bonus episode, but we all need to move on. Sierra is in Tahiti on Love Island now. She's doing her thing. We've all moved forward. Okay. All moved forward. She's gonna be on Dancing with the Stars. It's gonna be great.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not even Love Islanding. I'm not doing it.

SPEAKER_01

Oh god, I love it. I'm so behind though because of the Knicks, so I gotta catch up. But we learn nothing. If you watch the Summer House, there's nothing to learn. We still don't know who's gonna be on the new season. I'm assuming that girl who Wes was pretending he was in an exclusive relationship, who now Sierra gets on her phone. I think her name is Mia. I think maybe she probably joins the show. I don't really know, but we'll find out. Okay, I did not get to see below deck speaking of Bravo.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, below deck's really good.

SPEAKER_01

Is this regular below deck?

SPEAKER_02

No, blow deck med with Captain Sandy.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, blow deck med. We like Captain Sandy.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and Aisha is back. Okay, great. And Nate is back, and Joe is back, and Nate Gail, I guess how that's how you said from last season. They have a baby now. So Gail is in Croatia in an apartment with the baby, and Nate's on the boat calling her all the time. I mean, their baby's brand new because it's only been a year that they even met on the boat, became a couple, and had a baby. And Nate hates Joe, but Joe's back on the boat. Who's the chef? She's new, we've never seen her before, and you can barely understand a word she says, but everybody's terrified of her.

SPEAKER_01

All right.

SPEAKER_02

But she's a really good chef.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'll you know I love below deck. Oh, it's so good. It's so so good. And then I'll go to below deck. Um, all right. So I guess some of our listeners made comments. You know, we listen to our listeners. We do, we take all the feedback. Shout out for always giving us feedback. Some of our listeners commented that we didn't talk enough about office romance. I don't know what's left to talk about it, but JLo was jumping up and down watching the Nick Game last night.

SPEAKER_02

So we love you, JLo. I think the biggest thing was we didn't love the movie.

SPEAKER_01

We didn't.

SPEAKER_02

And one of the things that we didn't discuss is the fact that there were some very odd things in the movie that made no sense. One of them is the CGI of the birth scene with the baby coming out of the Vijay J.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I just couldn't believe that J Lo allowed that in the movie. It was so random and so unnecessary and so bizarro. And then also the whole thing with Brett Goldstein's boner could have been a very cute rom-com, but it had a couple of things in it that were so not J-Lo-y.

SPEAKER_01

We love Brett and we love J-Lo, but that was the reason I was a little turned off by it. And that was all written by Brett. They said for J-Lo, but those things are not very J-Lo. I'm watching like friends of mine even on social media say great rom-com, but like what? There are some things that make it a little weird, like not rom commie. Right.

SPEAKER_02

It didn't go.

SPEAKER_01

I also feel, and I know you're gonna disagree with me because you're all about off campus and everything off campus has to offer, but I didn't need to see their penises on off campus. I thought that was unnecessary. Yeah, it was unnecessary. That part where she comes into the locker room and we see like seven penises is unnecessary.

SPEAKER_02

You know what's so weird? I'm almost done with the book of off campus, the first one called The Deal. Now, first of all, if you read this book, you should have told me about it because there's a way, way, way more sex in the book than there is in the show. It was COVID. Oh, you read it during COVID? Yes, it's so long ago. I mean, before COVID, the book is very different than the show.

SPEAKER_01

Very different.

SPEAKER_02

The Justin Cole thing in the show is a much bigger deal than in the book. Justin Cole is sort of like a yes, yes, yes, yes. A minor thing. Yeah. And the Garrett Hannah thing is a much bigger deal. And also, Justin Cole's a football player, so the whole music collaboration thing is has nothing to do with the book.

SPEAKER_01

Still, okay, so you're changing it for TV. Great, but I still don't need to see the penises. That's or the penises in the book. I don't know. I don't remember. I'll let you know when I get there. I'll let you know. Maybe probably they probably were. But like I didn't need to see Brett's boner.

SPEAKER_02

No, you didn't need to see the boner, you didn't need to see a Vijay with a baby in it.

SPEAKER_01

That that bone the boner and the actual birth footage doesn't fit in my rom-com definition.

SPEAKER_02

It also didn't enhance the story, it was unnecessary.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_02

Were the penises necessary? Not really.

SPEAKER_01

No, that's what I mean.

SPEAKER_02

But maybe it was an equal time. Like you really didn't see in you saw more boy things than girl things in that show.

SPEAKER_01

Dude, he is everywhere. He's everywhere.

SPEAKER_02

He's a Justin Beebe. Dancing with Justin Beebe. Oh my gosh. I love off campus still so much. I've now watched it three times. I'm reading the book and I'm still so in.

SPEAKER_01

All right. So there was another rom commie also book series.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, this young adult series called Every Year After.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Now I didn't read any of these books, okay. But I believe that these books, I think my sister told me this. It's all been a blur, but I believe she told me this that she did read it. She really enjoyed the first one every year after. And then the books after follow different characters. I'm not in on this series at all. Well, I'm not not in. I mean, I'm watching it. It's compared to off campus. The show sucks. I'm not comparing it to anything. I mean, listen, it's not the summer I turned pretty. It's not. It's no way. It's not even close. I'm going to watch it.

SPEAKER_02

I'm gonna finish it, but let me just say this: there's not enough hotness. The story sucks. The girl's not pretty. I'm sorry. This show already sucks ass.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe I'm on episode four.

SPEAKER_02

I'm on episode three because I can't get through it because it sucks so bad.

SPEAKER_01

It has good music. Listen, I'm still listening to the off-campus soundtrack. Oh my god, it's the best sound check ever. When my Spotify DJ starts playing my off-campus songs, I get the best. Yes, it's so good. So it's every year after it is on Prime. Prime is killing it with the book series.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, they're doing a good job of being the destination for the young adult drama shows. Totally. I'm into that. This Matt Cornetta, I think his name is. He's from high school musical, the musical the series, but nobody else is famous in it, and they're all really unattractive.

SPEAKER_01

Listen, my sister said it was a good book. I did not read it so far. So we'll watch it, we'll see. But if it is renewed, I believe the other books follow different characters.

SPEAKER_02

So that's gonna be there's no other character I care about in the show. It's gonna be weird. Yeah, I'm not into that at all.

SPEAKER_01

But I will finish it. It's a fucking blowing away sweet magnolias.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah. It's just awful. There's nothing good. The only good show, like people are asking me for shows to watch, the only good show that I'm watching right now is that show Legends. I'm not done with it yet. I watched that one episode.

SPEAKER_01

I watched one episode and it was really good, but it is the show that you need to pay attention. Concentrate. Correct.

SPEAKER_02

So my mind with this niche now is the time that once once you relax after the parade and after all the reels and after all the videos that you're gonna be consuming for the next few days, after that's done, go back to Legends because Legends is really good. And I don't know if I said it before, it's about a true story, 1990s heroin cartels in the UK. These customs agents go undercover to break up the cartels. All true, really juicy, really good.

SPEAKER_01

First episode was great. And again, I even told Edam, like, you would love this show, but you really need to pay attention. And with my no sleep in the Nick Haze that I've been in, it's gonna be a great July show for me. Yes, absolutely. Yes. All right, what else do we have? I'm almost done with my champagne, time to refill. Okay, so game-wise, this let me just say that if I had the game, there'd be no game. I thank God I had the game. Ed and I talked about that this morning. Like, if we had the game, there'd be no game. Because my mind is just not working.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so this game is Did this actually happen at Madison Square Garden? So these are just Did Taylor Swift get married there? That's how this came to my mind was she's not really gonna get married there. So I was like, what did happen at Madison Square Garden? What didn't happen at Madison Square Garden? So these are true or false questions. Did this happen at Madison Square Garden? Okay, all you have to say, true or false? Okay. Okay. Question number one: The Beatles played their final live concert at Madison Square Garden in 1966. True or false?

SPEAKER_01

When are you saying it?

SPEAKER_02

1966.

SPEAKER_01

I think that's the scenario where they never played there.

SPEAKER_02

They played their final live concert in Candlestick Park in San Francisco.

SPEAKER_01

That makes sense.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Okay. True or false. Elvis Presley performed at MSG and it was his first concert in New York City. I'm gonna say true. Correct?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I know he played there. I didn't know if it was his. He did, correct?

SPEAKER_02

In 1972, Elvis performed four sold-out shows at MSG, and it was his first time performing in New York City, and one show was recorded for a live album.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, we're the greatest arena in the world. I mean, it's the best. It's the best.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. True or false. The first ever National Hockey League game played in the United States took place at MSG.

SPEAKER_01

Oh shit.

SPEAKER_02

Um I'm gonna say that that is false. Correct. Yeah, that's gotta be false. Where was it? The NHL's first U.S. franchise is the Bruins.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So it was in Boston. Fuck Boston, Dave.

SPEAKER_02

I know you're listening. Okay, question four. True or false? Billy Joel has performed more concerts at MSG than any other solo artist.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, yes. Yes, yes.

SPEAKER_02

That is true. We've been there. That is true. Okay. True or false. Pope John Paul II held a public mass at MSG during a visit to New York.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Not at MSG.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, where'd he go?

SPEAKER_02

Yankee Stadium.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, Yankee Stadium. I knew that. Fuck. All right. I got one wrong. Yeah, that's pretty good. That's pretty good for me. Yeah. I am a champion too. All right. I don't know how we could top it. I don't know. I'm going to raise my glass and tell everybody to have a great week. And I love you, but I don't know how we could top it. You know what? We're going to live off this euphoria and we are going to go to the parade and we are going to celebrate.

SPEAKER_02

I cannot wait to see what goes on at the parade for you.

SPEAKER_01

I cannot wait to see Mitchell Robinson driving his truck down the parade. Love you so much. Cheers. Love ya. Cheers.
