Show Notes

Content Warning: This episode discusses and contains delicate subject matter as it relates to domestic and sexual violence

Julie Millisky is a passionate and articulate young professional in higher education who specializes in the areas of leadership education and development.   Walk with us as she shares what the Power of One has meant to her personally during the Quarantine and what she taken away and learned from her own Power of One life experiences throughout her life.

Over the years,  Ms. Millisky has helped many young people on their leadership journeys. Today she is committed to work that supports her life-long mission of spreading the word about the true meaning of leadership and to dispel the myths that leadership has to be something huge, or something attainable, or a position or a hierachy.  Her goal is to encourage and educate others that leadership and bystander intervention is something easily accessible to anyone.  You don't have to wait for an opportunity, or invitation, to act.  She wants people to know that they have the power within them to do small actions that can have huge impacts.

One thing is for sure, you will truly be inspired.

The National Domestic Violence Hotline is 1-800-799-7233 and support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our show would not be possible without Hardenbergh (HIG) a company that truly walks the talk in terms of their commitment to their community.  That being said, they have been kind enough to sponsor our series which we hope will continue to inspire many to reach out and make a difference in the lives of others.  From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU.  HIG is a family run full-service risk management firm servicing the Philadelphia Region (although conducting business across the country).  HIG specialiizes in Business along with Group Medical Insurance.  For more information on what they can do for your business and personal needs, you can find them at www.hig.net or by calling 856.489.9100.

I would also be remiss if I didn't give a huge shout out to my son, Liam Graham, for offering his musical talents on the guitar, and to up-and-coming vocalist, Anna Yannessa, a Junior Vocal Performance major at the University of Missouri.  Anna plans on continuing her vocal studies at the graduate level and can be reached on Facebook at Anna Yannessa; on Instagram @atthecopa_copacabanna; and on Twitter @annayannessa.  Support our young artists please!
