Santos and I will share with you my approach so you can create episodes that your audience needs and wants to hear. For example, this podcast is the result of me reaching out to my community. Consistency. Consistency is key in the world of podcasting. So what does that mean? Does that mean you have to have a weekly podcast? Certainly not. Does that mean you have to have a daily podcast? Certainly not. You decide on what the consistency will be and share that with your audience so they know what to expect. The reason for this is because it builds anticipation and helps establish routine for your listeners.

So, for example, a lot of my clients from my unleash your voice program where I show people how to start a podcast. They have their podcast drop on Mondays, so every Monday. Their audience knows that they can expect a podcast if they're driving to work, if they're going to the gym, they know they can tune into their podcast. One of my favorite things to do is when I'm driving in my car, say to Siri, hey, play the Wonder Boldly podcast. For example, another approach is to optimize your podcast titles and descriptions. Your podcast title and episode descriptions play a crucial role in attracting listeners. And though you might not see that externally, this is where we're talking about keyword rich titles that accurately represent your content. So instead of having a really long title to describe what your episode is about, use keywords.

This improves discoverability, so if somebody's searching for how to lose weight over 50, they'll find your podcast. If you're using those keywords, I want to do a quick shout out to one of my folks who were in the unleash your voice program. She has an amazing podcast and that's why I use that as an example. Her podcast title is sweet freedom over 50 where she has weekly episodes talking about her weight loss journey and her clients who are losing weight over 50. I highly recommend it. We all know that. So your social media of choice. Mine is Instagram, maybe your Facebook, maybe your LinkedIn. Mine is Instagram and LinkedIn. I'm getting better over there. I love LinkedIn. I need to put some focus there. But wherever you are on social, you want to leverage that.

Because social media is such a powerful tool to promote your podcast and connect with your audience. You can create engaging posts with eye catching visuals, share behind the scenes content, things like that. You can encourage your listeners to share their favorite episodes. Social media can be a game changer in increasing your podcast visibility. Another really important approach is collaborating with others. I see this with my clients, those episodes that they have where they've had a guest on that have expertise in an area that their audience is interested in. The numbers triple. I've seen this over and over and over again.
