Somehow.
SPEAKER_00All right. Well, we're live. That's it, baby. That quick. I talked to Armana DB. He told me to stop doing the 30 seconds at the beginning. He's like, he goes, people have a short attention span. Don't do that. I was like, you know what? You're probably right. Let me get rid of it.
SPEAKER_01This is a bodybuilding podcast. Look, I'm actually eating rice and chicken because people eat on podcasts. This is serious stuff.
SPEAKER_00I know.
SPEAKER_01It's unbelievable. And you know I'm hungry if I'm just eating fucking rice and chicken.
SPEAKER_00And Eric Wood is back.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_00How you feeling, Eric? How much do you weigh now?
SPEAKER_03About 255.
SPEAKER_00And uh how tall are you?
SPEAKER_03I think five nine.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that well, you look you know, that's big on you. You have that frame where like you looked monstrous on on stage with that. You would shit.
SPEAKER_01I want to try and get heavier.
SPEAKER_00I'm not trying to do a lot of heating. Um and how you feeling though?
SPEAKER_03I feel really good. Like way stronger in the gym. You don't you don't realize how weak you are until you look back, you know? Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00Like I I was just so depleted and just yeah, when you had that post-contest rebound, yeah, and all of a sudden it's like Yeah, it is if people don't know have never competed before, what what happens is you diet down so hard that uh once you stop competing and you and you once you start after the contest, you start eating again, your muscle just absorbs all those nutrients. You put weight on like crazy. It's called post-contest rebounds, and you just become strong as a house. And uh I used to do um after after the show, I wouldn't come off yet. I would do fast acting uh anabolic so that it was supposedly like you know, uh get the best muscle growth out of that. That was the logic behind it. Who the hell knew? Yeah, I know who the hell knew if that was the case.
SPEAKER_03But I was eating pretty clean up until the few days after the show, and then one night I'm like, all right, I'm just gonna go out and you got McDonald's and then a dish pizza.
SPEAKER_00Well, I mean, how do you have how old is your son?
SPEAKER_03No, I got a daughter, she's just 10 months.
SPEAKER_00Oh, daughter, I'm sorry. Oh, so she's not at the stage yet where where she wants to eat junk food, and no, you know, you have to cook her pancakes and stuff like that. Like, that's gonna be rough.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah. That's gonna be rough. Yeah, she's just on bottles and and puree food.
SPEAKER_00Look, look what came in the mail today, Lee.
SPEAKER_01I think we all used to be like that after shows. You're like, I'm gonna try stay in shape at as the days go past. You keep looking in the mirror, then as it starts baiting, you're like, yeah, even I used to do that.
SPEAKER_03I needed one night where I just went like you know, ate whatever.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you have to. You absolutely have to. Dave Palumbo tells a great fucking story. He said that after a contest, he ate so much sushi that he actually felt terrible and he went to his sister's house and did like cardio because sushi's gay.
SPEAKER_01Who's gonna eat sushi? Yeah, but he apparently according to him, he he used to eat like a motherfucker. I ate I ate salmon and rice. Oh, big fucking deal in a roll. Oh, you faggot.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, eat some fried chicken, Jesus Christ. Go eat some chewed steak. Look what finally came for me. Is that the crowbar? Nutrafit crowbar. We still have the crucifix, right? And then uh I actually got the the whey protein from Nutrafit. Oh, yep. So um if you if you want to be a race car at a red light, yeah, if you want to be the Guns and Avron T N T, then you'd use crucifix, okay? But if you're like me, where you you don't you don't need to seem like a fucking atomic bomb all the time. This one is much better for you, but um so neutrafit n-u-t-r-i-f I t t for people that are listening.com and you get 20% off with discount code priest P-R-I-E-S-T. If you and if you buy crucifix and then you buy another regular Nutrafit brand, you actually get 30% off if you if you use code PRIES. Like the home shopping network. What else do we get? State lines? Yeah, uh exactly. Forrest just said no one's listening. You get you get his fork, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Um, what the hell was I gonna say? Uh all right. So did you guys see the flex pro uh anybody watched the uh what'd you think, Eric? I was a little bit underwhelmed, to be honest with you.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I thought I thought Jordan was gonna be higher. I thought he was gonna be in front of Bonak, but yeah. But Edward Yeah, it looked like Andrew Jack.
SPEAKER_00Edward looked good. Um, it was I mean, let's face it, it was a weak lineup, okay? Um, fucking Tabani would have wrecked everybody if he would have got the visa, as far as I'm concerned. Edward looked good. He's got that small waist and V taper and flaring quads. He just correct Lee. Does he look like the that type of bodybuilder? You know that type of bodybuilder that like kind of has a difficult time with with with muscle separation, if I if if it sounds right. Um some do, some do.
SPEAKER_01It's hard to say. I know there were not whether it's just different races, but even white guys had the problem. There was back in my day, there were a few select like darker bodybuilders who had a problem with the separation in their legs and that like upper body would be great, but their legs, their legs would get cupped and never get that like strations or the really deep ones. It'd almost be like the upper body was contest reading, the legs were probably two weeks behind type thing.
SPEAKER_00Look, does that make sense, Eric? I mean, I know he was he was a he was impressive in that lineup 100%. He deserved a victory. Absolutely. I'm not saying he definitely was very impressive in that lineup, but he looks like the type of bodybuilder that kind of with the it's very difficult for him to get that lack of muscle separation. I mean, that muscle separation, and um it it seems like if he were to put more size on and get bigger, it'd be even more difficult. Yeah. Because I've seen that body type before, right?
SPEAKER_01But it's similar to blessing. Blessing always had his legs always the hardest to come in shape. His upper body could look good, but then his legs he'd hit it sometimes, but then the next show a week later, his legs would look like they're holding water. But a lot of that too can come from stress and cortisol levels and stuff like that. Flex used to have a yeah, I think what he used to take, he's to take something to help calm him down so his cortisol wouldn't go through the roof and smooth out because we've all been there. You could be at a gym a week before, you're vascular, you're ripped, get backstage, you start pumping up in your nerves, you're like, fuck, where's all the veins? Because you don't see him, then you get more nervous and pissed off. You just go fucking and when the show's over that night, you go back to the hotel room and like fuck, I'm treaded again.
SPEAKER_03Or you get guys they sleep like one hour the night before a show.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. How many times would you do that though? I'd dude, I'd be laying in bed and you're running like the abs are still there, the abs are still there. If you had a girlfriend at the time, you get up, flick the light on you, light comes on, you're like, honey, come have a look, come have a look. Am I still hard? Yeah, yeah, you're still hard. Every hour you get up again. Am I still hard?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, my wife was the worst cheerleader. Uh, she was the worst. She's like you look, you look like you did yesterday. I'm like, fuck, no, don't say that.
SPEAKER_01But that's the thing though, you can you could be in that same condition for a whole week, but for some reason, the night before you think you're gonna fucking lose it all. Like I said, it's such a such a head game, those last the last week and few days is all mental than physical.
SPEAKER_00So I want to stay on uh the flex pro. Uh I got a couple of things. Uh Edward Ali Edward Cargo, what's his name? Uh Cargo. I mean, he looked fantastic. He looked fantastic in that lineup, put it that way. And I'm not saying that his his legs are incredible. It just he seems like he has that body type where even when he diets down, I mean you could see the okay. Remember Jose Raymond? Yeah, when Jose, uh with the exception of his back, he always had that kind of little problem with muscle separation. Like what all right, when Eric just did his first two these two shows this year, right? He came in so hard and dried up, everything was just popping, and the muscle separation was there, and it was the abs and the waist was small, the flaring quads, and the separation, and he kind of seems like he has that body type that he could he's never gonna really be able to get that, if that makes sense. Like kind of like a Brandon Curry's type of legs, if that makes sense. Does that make sense or is it just me? Am I fucking nuts?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you're just the racist prick. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Is it a kinetic thing, you think? Yeah, I think it could be on some, yeah, yeah. Like when you see, uh when you see Brandon Curry's legs, um, they're big, they're full, uh, but they're not like diced separated all the way. Like Chris Carmen used to have the separation all the way up to his hips, or like guy green or someone takes right, right, right. And it looks like some bodybuilders are gonna be able to have that, and some bodybuilders aren't gonna be able to have that.
SPEAKER_01It's like the glutes, too, because some bodybuilders can get the fucking feathers through their glutes, some will just get their glutes as square and hard, but they don't have all the lines. So I think a lot of it's just genetic makeup half the time. So yeah, yeah, yeah. It was for them to get those legs like that, they'd probably have to lose that much weight that they'd be end up yeah, but he he definitely deserved the win.
SPEAKER_00Um, I don't think he was a tie, wasn't it?
SPEAKER_01Wasn't it a tie then they just with him and Bonack?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's a tie. I think I think it was closer with Bonack and Jordan. I think he was the clear winner. I thought it was the tie between maybe I'm wrong. I could be wrong. It looked like to me that uh it looked like to me that Jordan and Bonack were they were trying to figure out who was two and three, and then Cogbo was the clear winner. The judges, maybe it's just my eyes. Maybe the judges had a different, you know.
SPEAKER_01I I quickly saw Dave this morning, Dave and Chris Asset. I'm pretty sure I heard them talking about a tie between those two, Bonack and the winner, and they had to go back and do whatever. Then Dave said it probably just came down to who the judges preferred, like their physique type. And then yeah, it must have been because Dave, because Dave said, oh, maybe because Bonack had qualified already and it was that close, they just gave it to the other guy to get him in the Olympia.
SPEAKER_00So it was too Bonack did not as far as I'm concerned, Cogbow was the clear winner. You know, Bo Bonak looked, I mean, Bonack looks like he still could hold his own, but he looks like age is catching up to him.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00You know, his his his arms kind of are look a little bit smaller, his waist is a little blockier. You know, it's definitely not he could hold his own, put it this way, but it's definitely not the Bonak from 2020 or 2019. No, the bone, the Boneck from 2019, you know, is a second place Olympia finisher, uh auto classic winner. He could still definitely hold his own. Last year he came in. I looked it up. Last year in the he came in. What? He did research. He did some research. What the fuck? He came in. He came in, I believe he came in ninth.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he was top 10, I'm pretty sure.
SPEAKER_00In the Olympia, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And I gotta stop coming on this show if you're doing research and making these decreases.
SPEAKER_00You're the entertainment, uh you're the entertainment, and I'm the guy that gives the uh info. Um, yeah, Tony O'Burton beat him. He came in eighths.
SPEAKER_01I'll just skip one default in my eye while you're talking about it.
SPEAKER_00Tony O'Burton, and then William Bonack came in ninth, and tenth was good veto. Um that's another thing. There are a lot of guys that haven't we haven't seen Brett Wilken, we haven't seen um uh who's the guy from Canada, Eric. Uh who am I thinking of? Uh Quentin. No, we saw him. Uh not Ian. No, no, Ian's trying to make it. No, what's that? What's his name? Regan Grimes. We haven't seen Regan Grimes. Anderson Fawn. Yeah. We haven't seen Regan Grimes. We haven't seen um Brett Wilkins. Um, we haven't seen you know, a lot of bodybuilders. We haven't seen Good Vito. I don't know if Good Vito got sick or is injured, or I don't know if he had some sort of surgery or something like that. Something like that. But we haven't seen a lot of bodybuilders. Body bodybuilders are not qualified yet. I don't know what is you know what they're waiting for, but um gonna wait till the last show, and there's a only four more shows here. That's it, but August 29th is the cutoff date. That's it. Like, I don't, you know, so there's gonna be people that should be there but aren't making it because they and I get it. I get you don't want to travel to fucking Italy for 10 grand. I get it. But you would get the qualification early and get and you would think that their sponsors, like you know, guys like Good Vito and and guys like Reagan Grimes have big sponsorships, like they could they would cover it for them, but uh um so uh uh I was really underwhelmed with this lineup. Cogbo clearly was the winner, as far as I'm concerned. I don't know why it was a tie. Maybe in person it was different. Bonack looked like he was getting a little old. And here's another thing. Uh and this is this is I and this this might be a problem. It was bad with the magazines, but it's 10 times worse with social media. They make they make young bodybuilders out to be the second coming of Christ.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. And even influencers who have never competed, they're the second coming.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and then they get on stage and they lose, and everybody's shocked.
SPEAKER_01And it's like what about the ones that don't get on stage and just talk to you?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. You know, it's like Jordan Hutchinson came on stage, he came in third, and I was fine with that. I thought he deserved third. Um, everybody was on the on the Jordan Hype train. I'm not saying that he's not a good bodybuild, I'm not saying that he can't get come in harder. I just don't think that he is this guy that everybody is going to be like, oh shit, he's gonna dominate.
SPEAKER_01He's gonna when you look all right, when you looked at his good, but he's not jaw-dropping. I like right don't still I guess I'm old school. When I used to see pros, it was like pros that, like I said, it was hard to get a pro card. So when you got one, it was like you have the lineups back in the USA where you had Flex and Cormir and Kevin and everyone, the one class, one gets a pro card, everybody else has to train for another six or twelve months. So generally, when they turn pro, like Kevin got what runner up in his first show, right? Same thing. It's like now a lot of these guys are getting their pro card, then they're like, What are you gonna do? Oh, I need a couple of years off to put size on. It's like, because you weren't ready. But then some go straight into the pro rank and they're like, Oh, what happened? It's like reality check. But you walk into Gold's gym and go, Fuck, he's gotta be pro, he's pro, he's pro, because the way they look now, you have people coming up to me, well, I'm a pro. I'm like, what fucking golf or fucking? Well, no, no, I'm a pro bodybuilder.
SPEAKER_00I'm like, okay, that's like every week masters.
SPEAKER_01What happened?
SPEAKER_00Every masters 35, masters 40. If you have to, that's the first thing they gotta cut out, okay.
SPEAKER_01Master Masters should be over 50, at least 50.
SPEAKER_00I mean, to if you really want to cut out a uh uh a category of bodybuilding, masters over over 50 has to go. It just has to you're giving the over 70s to get up there and then nothing.
SPEAKER_01Dave had a client. Look, I give him credit, but Dave Blum had a client. I think he was like 67, finally got his pro card. I'm like, that's great, but now now what are you gonna do? You could have just been happy, elderly gentleman training, being healthy, but you blasted the gear again at that age to get a pro card. Now what?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, now what? Now what are you gonna do? Stand on stage next to fucking Eric who's how old are you, every 28, 29? 30. You're 30, who's fucking jacked and shredded and climbing the pro ranks, and just it's in nobody, you're not gonna get any serious endorsements.
SPEAKER_01I think some of the masters, as you get older, they start to lose their mind and they think they're young again.
SPEAKER_00And why like why do you want and that's another thing? Look, I everybody, this is just my opinion. You everybody out there can do what they want. I don't care, that's fine. But if you're like okay, again, Eric, I'm just using you as an example because you're on you're on here. Uh-huh. Clearly, you are a young bodybuilder that's uh on the up and up. Okay, you shocked the world this year, you came in second. You should be a bodybuilder, a competitive bodybuilder, 100%. Okay. But that means that you know, you have to, you know, live that bodybuilder lifestyle, which is you have to isolate yourself, right? And the world revolves around you. It's all about food, posing, training, supplements, everything revolves around you. Everything else falls to the wayside. Why you want to do that after the age of 50 blows me away. At that age, after 50, 60, 70, you should be looking to give back, not be selfish, like enjoy your grandchildren, enjoy like you know, may maybe be a trainer where you can actually help people get a pro card. Like, give back. Don't I don't that it baffles me. Like, and why do you want to suffer at 60 years old and not have that slice of pizza? You want to be enjoying just enjoying your life, stay healthy. What are you gonna say, Eric?
SPEAKER_03I feel like a lot of those guys, they they don't even really, you know, I they cheat on their diet and all that.
SPEAKER_00I think they don't even give a shit. Yeah, it's just it's just like, but you know, that I I don't understand I I don't I'm not a big fan of bodybuilders or any any competitive that are at a certain stage of life and then they decide that they're gonna compete. And everybody knows if you're gonna compete, everything else comes second. It is a completely and totally selfish sport. But again, if you're gonna be like a guy like Eric or like Lee Priest, who's destined to be a fucking probability, then it's worth it. You're gonna be a top pro, you're gonna be able to support your family, you're gonna be able to make money. This is what you do for a living. But just to like be a 65-year-old grandpa who says, you know, sorry, kid, I can't take you to fucking Great Adventure because I gotta, you know, I can't take my grandkids to Great Adventure at Hershey Park because I gotta fucking compete. I'm prepping for my print card. It just blows that just blows me away.
SPEAKER_03It's just another thing is like you get these pros, they hold pro cards, but they've never won an overall in an MPC show.
SPEAKER_00Yes, yeah.
SPEAKER_03How does that make any sense?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I've uh listen, I was one of those guys. I I've never won an overall open, I've won overall masters, and I remember I've seen this story. I Eric, I said this story a million times. I decided that I wanted to do a Masters Nationals or Team USA and not Team USA, I'm sorry. Uh what's the what is it? What's the one? Team Universe. And I decided, okay, I'm gonna go. And I went. It was like it was the year that John Metals turned pro with Team uh Team Universe, and I looked at him and I'm like, I'm never gonna fucking look like that. There's no way in hell I'm gonna look like that. I don't care what I do because what I used to be like you can't just up the dosage and look like that, yeah. Yeah, really, yeah. Because I used to be able to um work backstage as uh you know an expediter because the guy who owned the gym there were in Jersey, there were several people that owned gyms. There was Guy's gym I used to go to, he passed away. Then there was Diamond Gym, um Dwayne from Diamond Gym, and then uh Maz had his gym, Body Works, and he would get all the guys, we would get they would get all those guys at a gym to work at the shows, and they'd pay you a few bucks, and but you get to meet the bodybuilders and work backstage, whatever. And so I'm talking up close and personal, and and I just had a I just had a realism. I'm like, I'm never gonna fucking look like this. And I remember I went to go talk to Oscar Arden. I was gonna hire him to uh train me. And I was like, what am I doing? Like, I only I I I won the masters overall in Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Grand Prix. I'm like, I'm I'm wasting my time. So it was just a realism. Um and yeah, you get these people that just continue to fucking I mean, I get it, like you enjoy it, you like competing, you you you know, you want to collect plastic trophies, but to me, there comes a point where there's just more to life and your health too.
SPEAKER_01It's like you know, you can be a healthy 60-year-old and get tests done, but still, your hearts are still a six-year-old, it's not a 20-year-old's heart that you could take all that pounding and pressure and gear and everything else. You have to you have to get smarter as you get older, and like I said, just stay fit and be happy, you know. Just be like me, be a loser and just go to the gym and do circuit workouts and I think he said to me yesterday, it comes up again. I met you the other day. Yeah, I've got a question to ask you. Why do you train so light now? Like, what what do you mean, Arsenal?
SPEAKER_00I'm 53 years old and I got more injuries than uh that's what I said.
SPEAKER_01I said I was doing I was doing some shoulders, so I can only do laterals, I can't do any pressing. I said, injuries, I'm just thinking one day you'll understand when you get here.
SPEAKER_00It's just uh I don't know. It's just uh first of all uh, but to me, it's just there's more to life than just bodybuilding. Like, all right, I'm gonna use Lee Priest as an example. He competed when he was young, he was getting to be a bodybuilder, he's one of the best in the world, and now what he does is he goes around to seminars, to fit expos, and people line up and he takes pictures and he talks to them and he goofs with them, and he and people love it, they fucking love it. Wow, you know, there's nothing Wrong with doing something like that. And he's making money to do it to boot, but he's giving back to the community that supported him while he was competing, right? Uh, to me, there's that's more admirable than deciding we've got to make a comeback and stand on stage next to fucking Samson Dowder and get blown away. Which leads me to my next topic. Oh, no, I don't want to change the subject.
SPEAKER_01Look, I just want to look at this. Sid gave me this, he was given this by the top brass when he went to Operation Freedom, Iraqi freedom, in Kurt Cook, Airbase, Iraq.
SPEAKER_00See, that's actually pretty cool. So Eric, um, Sid uh Siddell, everybody calls him Big Sid. His real name is Shane. And and he got this too.
SPEAKER_01I don't want to cut up, but he got this because when they got there, he had to dig the ditches out the front to protect the base and that. I said, Did that get boring? He said he goes, Not really, when you're a big bulldozer and sniper board to fly overhead.
SPEAKER_00So um Lee's manager also at one point was Jay Cutler's manager, and I believe he it was a bunch of guys, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. He does uh the Trent Twins, you go name it, but he was his full-time job was he was a he was uh he was a Marine or an Army Ranger Air Force. I'm sorry, I thought he was an army ranger, and he and he for 20 something years and he was in Iraq, uh the war in Iraq of Iraq, yeah, and he's the nicest guy in the world, but you could tell you take one look at him and you go, you don't wanna you wouldn't wanna you don't want to push him into the PSTD part, whatever. Yeah, you wouldn't the nicest guy in the world who would go out of his he would take the he would give you his shirt off his back, but you definitely could see there's you wouldn't want to fuck with him. There's no yeah, you could see it, you could fucking see it.
SPEAKER_01I saw I saw that with the guy at the hotel front desk when he wouldn't let us into our rooms.
SPEAKER_00Oh, well, that was the best because uh his and the best part, Eric, is that Sid's wife is Filipino and she's like five foot two, and she's like a she's a fire cracker, yeah, yeah, yeah. And she was getting pissed at the hotel manager because uh they fucked up the room somehow, and she was she was like pointing and you know, and I would be like, Yeah, I would be a fucking bully if I had Sidney.
SPEAKER_01And then like big guy was then he was threatening to kick us out the hotel. But then the next day when we said to the ladies and described him, the ladies like, we don't have anyone like that that works. I'm thinking who's the fucking guy behind the front desk, just some stranger that's just fucking with rooms? Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, okay, so uh all right, we covered uh first of all, it's still 10,000. Um Sergio brought up a good point about the um the fees for the promoters that they have to that they have to uh put in like six months before a show and it's very expensive. But 10,000 for an open show.
SPEAKER_03Ugh, no wonder you're not since like 97 or something.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's it really to put on a show. I get it, I fully get it.
SPEAKER_01But they have to set a limit, it has to be 25 minimum. Come on, and yeah, like we said, if it's just a pro show, it is hard because most money has to come from sponsors getting sponsors. If they have an amateur show, they pour more money in. But if you can't if you can't give at least 15 to 20, then like I said, 10 grand, we're getting it back in 92, 94. You know, you'd win a show, then you get 10 grand. I think I was the you know, back then 10 grand wasn't bad in the 90s, but now it's like, come on. Yeah, I mean, first of all, you gotta pay taxes on top of that, and so then if you had to pay your airfare and hotel on top of that, then you yeah, and then Sergio made a great point, which I didn't realize.
SPEAKER_00Well, first of all, that there is a fee that the promoters have to put up the sanction fee, yeah. Sanction fee six months beforehand, so that takes money out of their pocket, and then um, you know, then they cut corners, so then they cut corners on lighting and the live feed, and that's why you don't see a great uh great lighting and great live feed and you know commentary because they have to cut corners to make the show run.
SPEAKER_01And um I understand it's it's it's very difficult on the promoter, but it's still they can't buy they can't hire like Bruce Buffett, they gotta hire Bob Chicarello cheap to do the industry, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and of course nobody's gonna like they were lucky that Jordan Hutchinson went to uh Europe to do the shows. Uh uh, you know, but um yeah, it's very the other thing is uh Ian Valiere. You guys see that he's been putting size on again, getting bigger than it's gonna be. Um I I I'm I'm a Debbie Downer on the show today.
SPEAKER_01Well, let me go first then, Mr. Negative. Like ahead, you go first, then okay. You know, I always really worry about comebacks, but Ian, like just listening to him, he seems to be in a good headspace, just like you know, when we were talking to Fing the other day when Joe and that, it's like you know, when you find that balance and you're doing it for fun now, like he has no pressure on him. Yeah, sure, making a comeback, he wants to want to see how you look for sure, but you know, he's doing it more for fun. So I'm you know, I'm not ruling out that we might see a pretty good Ian when he does make a comeback, because like I said, he's not doing it for sponsors, he's not doing it for anything else, he's just doing it for himself. And if you can keep that mindset and just do it for fun and don't have that pressure on you, you might see a pretty good version of him that we haven't seen before. Okay, Mr. Negative, carry on.
SPEAKER_00Okay, um, just just mark my words, okay? Just okay, let me mark it then. I've never seen a bodybuilder retire, lose 50 pounds of muscle, and then decide I'm going to make a comeback and put the muscle on and regain the same uh uh clout and the and and uh the same uh winner's circle as they did previously. And because I've seen bodybuilders in the past try to make comebacks and it never goes well, it's just it they're always a shell of what they used to be. You know, um I'm not saying back after I came back after seven years off. Yeah, okay, but you did the universe. Hey, still won the Mr. Universe. You did, you did. The guy that came in number two was like me.
SPEAKER_01The guy that came in number two, the guy that came in number two actually won some two twelve pro shows. That guy, the Korean guy.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_01He won some see.
SPEAKER_00I could have won some two twelve shows. You did, you know. Um it's just I've never seen it, I've never seen a bodybuilder lose the weight, whether it's intentionally or because they got hurt, and then come make a comeback by putting all that weight back.
SPEAKER_01I've never seen that mindset, it's hard to get that mindset back of training and sleeping. Especially if you've had a few years off training, though.
SPEAKER_03Say that again like a bodybuilder, you know.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'm sure he kept training like a bodybuilder, but he lost a lot of weight. All right, uh perfect example, and I know he had neck surgery, I get it, was um Dennis Wolf when he tried to make that comeback. Um, it just didn't, it just didn't he had that nerve damage like I got too in his triceps. Um and uh Ian's putting on a lot of weight, don't get me wrong. And he's I saw him in Serrano, he looked big. No, he's a monster. He always was a monster. That's just that's one thing he's got to do.
SPEAKER_01Like you said, but when you've had those few years off and you're training with how you were just wanted, you're training for fun more than anything. You're still training hard, but then you've got that freedom to eat what you want when you want. You're not so to get back into the I must eat this many meals a day, two and a half hours apart that I got to do cardio. To get that back again, it's like, oh shit, do I really want to do this one? Really, I don't have to. It's like, why do I want to?
SPEAKER_00Forrest hit the nail on the head, Arnold Schwarzenegger. He took off what four years from 76 to 75 to 76 to 80, and he was not the same Arnold. They that was a that Olympia was a gift.
SPEAKER_01You watch that movie The Comeback that filmed in Australia, and it actually changed it because in the original everybody booed, but they edited it, so everybody's cheering on the video.
SPEAKER_00The comeback is that and that was the uh that was the uh the the when Mike Menzer and him had the biggest. Mike Mensa wanted to beat the shit out of him backstage. Yeah, did you ever hear that story, Eric? No. Okay, so 1980 was coming around, Frank Zane won the year before, Mike Mensa won the heavyweight. Back then it was under 200, over 200. Uh and and and mencer, it was it was Mike Menzer and then he had a brother. I don't remember who his brother was. But Mike Metzer was another guy you didn't want to. Ray Mensa. Ray Mensa. Mike Metzer was another guy you didn't want to mess with. He was a legitimate tough guy. Grew up in Pittsburgh, he was not a guy you wanted. So um out of nowhere during the uh and so what so the idea was oh Mike Metzer is gonna win this Olympia, 1980. He's gonna completely outsize Zane and he's gonna come in harder and better. And that's exactly what he did. So everybody was like, Oh, Mike Mantzer's taking it. There's no question about it. And um, so out of nowhere, Schwarzenegger shows up at the fucking press conference, and everybody's like, But didn't he say he was getting ready for Conan the Barbarian?
SPEAKER_01That's why he was sort of in shape, so he just wanted to come do the Olympia.
SPEAKER_00And and they just and Mentzer knew that the fix was in as soon as he showed up. So I don't the the the uh and and Arnold had a Arnold's got a fantastic personality and he's very cool and calm, but he's not a tough guy. He never was. I mean, he plays one in the movies, but he's just was never really you know a tough guy. Um, and uh so he knew the fix was in, and then actually uh he lost uh when they gave the win to Arnold and Mencer never competed again after that. He said the whole thing's fucking rigged, I'm done. Really? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And a lot of guys actually boycotted the next year. They eventually came back. Um, but he was, I think he was the only one that was like, This is bullshit. I'm fucking I'm not never doing this again.
SPEAKER_01Because uh 81, which year did Franco win in a Franco should be one of the things. That was even worse.
SPEAKER_00That was even worse. Did you ever hear that story, Eric? No. 81 was even worse because Franco Colombo um never won an Olympia. He would win under 200 in the 70s. He does a strongman contest back when strongman is just starting, and he had to do something stupid like carry our refrigerator or some shit. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think he had a knee problem. I think he tore his knee or uh, I remember seeing a video like his leg guys, yeah, something like that. So he decides that he's gonna do the fucking um the uh Olympia the next year, and he's got zero separation in his quads, and he's got severe bitch tits, and they gave it to him. And we're talking, and this was when to now Tom Platz was in the contest, and all should have won.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Tom got third that year. I think Tom should have won that one easy.
SPEAKER_00Oh, hell yeah.
SPEAKER_01I should have been around in the 80s, I might have gotten the Olympia title.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, really. But it was just when when when when Weeder was around, it was the politics were really bad and really in front of your face. It was really bad. You know, it was well, think about it. Who's gonna sell more magazines? Now Schwarzenegger was a fucking movie star, you know. He had did a few movies already, and then he was making a comeback. Who was gonna fucking sell worldwide? Who was gonna buy you know magazines, whose faces was gonna be on the product? And so they it was clear that they were gonna give it to him, and then the you know, him and Weeder were like buddies, and they gave it to Franco the next year, it was just really bad. And then from the 82, 83, 84 was you know, then you had guys like who was the gay guy that liked you Lee?
SPEAKER_01Chris Dickerson.
SPEAKER_00Chris Dickerson won one year, and Sunny looked good when he won. Same look excellent when he won. But then once Lee Haney came around, then the whole thing started over again. He started dominating, but that that was that. But um I've never seen a Bonniebuilder lose so much weight, whether it's intentional or unintentional, put it back on and be and be as dominant as he was previously. Um, so that's why I just have I'm I'm not I'm not as excited as I would have been. Not getting on the Ian train. Yeah, I'm not getting on the on the Ian train. And I got news for you. I really think I don't think Bone Ice could break in the top 10 this year. At the Olympia. At the Olympia, I think he's gonna fall. There's too many guys, there's too many new young guys.
SPEAKER_01I mean, of my crucifix, Mr. Negative. Did you have a bad day at work, John? Did you have a bad day at work?
SPEAKER_02I'm just speaking the truth.
SPEAKER_00I uh William Bonack, as much as I was a fan of his, and still a fan of his, I gotta speak the the truth, right? Um he just lost the show. He just lost the show that 10 years ago he would have fucking dominated with no problem. It would have been a joke. Yeah, exactly. Now last year he comes in, he comes in uh ninth, and there's even better guys coming up. Tonio looks better.
SPEAKER_03I mean I feel like Joe would beat him.
SPEAKER_00Uh Joe, oh big time. Joe Palacio. Yeah, oh yeah. Joe, just listen, there's a lot of new young talent coming up, and this is the this is the cycle. The older guys get knocked down, and the young guys start fucking kicking in, you know. I mean, you're gonna have a lot of good guys in that Olympia uh this year, and the guy, even the guys that are still in the top five are no joke, man. They're still dominant. Samson and Hardy and Eric and Nick.
SPEAKER_01I wish I I wish I wasn't injured so I could come back make a comeback and you could just talk shit about me going, Lee, you shouldn't do this. I don't want to be the Debbie Downer, Lee, but what are you doing?
SPEAKER_00Why are you making this comeback? Yeah, I know. I just I just to me, and and and it's like we want as fans, we want to remember you as the bat, you know, we don't want to remember the Kevin Lavron that tried to make that shitty comeback.
SPEAKER_01We want to say I'll make a comeback, and all the fans go fuck Lee's coming back in to beat the contest, and here he comes. Holy fuck, what did you do?
SPEAKER_00Uh oh that's exactly what happened to Kevin Lavron. It was like, what the fuck, man? Upper body looked great, but unfortunately, his legs were were gone. They were, they were gone. He should have done physique. Even Flex did physique and did, you know. Oh, yeah, I forgot. Yeah, it was just it's never I understand that an athlete, any athlete always wants that that high back, that what one good one left, but it's it's never a good idea.
SPEAKER_01You know what would have been a good idea would have been like even myself, if you I got in shape, but even how Flex looked and Kevin looked, if some promoter was smart and got some of the old guys like that and said they're gonna do a seminar and guest posing, people would go crazy because of course you're not competing against the newer guys, they're not comparing you, it's just you coming out guest posing. People would love to see because it's just you out there doing a routine, have props, whatever. But of course, it's just that. But in a contest thing, it's like they're always gonna be like, Oh, he doesn't look like he did when he last did a contest. Whereas if you're just guest posing, no one really gives a shit. They're like, Oh, he looks good, yeah, he looks great.
SPEAKER_00Right, right, right, right. Dude, these new guys are no joke. I mean, they're no joke. I mean, look at the top five. And you know, Andrew looks Samson. Samson, I'm I think Samson might win it again.
SPEAKER_01Uh if he keeps on that size, and if Samson can keep that size and do what Ronnie did from 97 to 98 and just come in peeled, yeah, he's gonna win it. But even I'm interested, even though it could be his last one, I'm interested to see what Milos does with Hardy with Hardy.
SPEAKER_00Yes, what Milos with Hardy. And I and another thing is uh Tabani is what if what that is a sin. That guy, that guy would have dominated Italy, Spain.
SPEAKER_01I hope how many years to see this down on shows due to visa.
SPEAKER_00I hope they give him the visa to Portugal. I really do. Because in that in that in that show, you got uh you got uh supposedly he's doing it, you got Jordan, you got Hollingshead, um, and and then after that it's there was another there was someone else in there too. Let me see. I think you're right. Uh because I was looking at it before.
SPEAKER_01Uh let's put him, can we get him on a boat and just put him on an inner tube and he can wash into the beaches of Portugal?
SPEAKER_00And seriously, because that that guy is just all right. Here we go. Flying asylum status. Oh, what's his name is doing it? Mark Hector. Oh, yeah, yeah. He's good.
SPEAKER_01If he's on, if he's on, he's good, Mark.
SPEAKER_00He's good, he's good, but he's not great.
SPEAKER_01Not not like if James is on, James should beat him.
SPEAKER_00But uh, then you got America American, uh Tabani. You got uh Vlad Zucaruchko. Uh Vlad. Have you seen his page that Vlad's Instagram page? Yeah, I could barely understand it though.
SPEAKER_01I don't speak no, but is he but is he rich or are they sponsors? Like everything he's got like a different Lamborghini or car and he's in all that Dolce Cabana clothes. I'm like, is this just for the internet or is he really, really rich?
SPEAKER_00You know what? I think Russian guys just Ukrainian Russian people just dress like that. Like if you have some money, they want to show it off. Like I I used to live in Brooklyn uh when I'm growing up, Eric, and the Russians they're they're like that, man. If you know they they they want to drive the Benzes and they want to wear the expensive clothes. I used to date a girl, I used to date a girl from Sheep's Head Bay, which is a part of Brooklyn that's all Russian. And uh even her, if we would go out somewhere, it was like everything was furry and flowing and over the top and it's named, right? That's just the way I just think that's the way they are. It's like if you got money or you have yeah, and you're making money, you fucking you look the part, you know. It's the fastest way to go broke, too.
SPEAKER_01But oh yeah, you gotta keep up with that.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I've been wondering that with some of the athletes today that play NFL or NBA and that you see them do these interviews, and some of the fucking ugliest fucking jury that got around their neck, those big chains and the dimes and big medallions. I'm like, what a fucking way. I don't get it, I've never been into shit like that. I remember we're overseas doing a tour, and Kevin just won a show, and he's like, Look at that Lee went to shot 25k Rolex. I'm like, Kevin, look at mine 100 Rolex and a speech. I said, What's yours do that? Mine doesn't do it, to yours the exact same fucking time. If I lose mine for a hundred bucks, if I lose it, I don't care. 25k on a watch. I'm like, why? It doesn't do anything fucking special.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, listen, no, I I get it. Look, I like I like nice things too. I don't get it. I just came up. Five dollar t-shirt that came up. You have to you have to have a balance, you can't go overboard. I mean, Floyd Mayweather, I think, is broke now.
SPEAKER_01You see that you see the things when he's the they did a documentary on him and the amount of money you spend on different girls and just buy them those twenty thousand dollar handbags and take them shopping. It's just like do you realize they're just using you?
SPEAKER_00It's like he would have the same model Lamborghini in three different colours. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like I remember one time he had all these cars, he had just white ones. It was like white Bentley, white Bugatti, white Ferrari, white, whatever. It's just like there's like 12 cars, all white, and then it had like all the other colours. I'm like, okay, it's nice, but you can only drive one at a time. I'd have like a Lamborghini, then a good souped-up H1 Hummer then I'd have like Lambo.
SPEAKER_00That's all you need.
SPEAKER_01But you can just have a nice, like a Hum V where you can just go run shit over, you know, some big, big vehicle like that. Like that. Um, what's that one they brought out? It looks like a Mara, like the police vehicle. It's like all jacked up. It looks like this military vehicle you can get now over there. It's got like six wheels on it. It's fucking oh the the Jeep. Uh oh, I remember that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know what you're talking about.
SPEAKER_00But I mean, with the Jeep.
SPEAKER_01It just looks like a military type vehicle, that'd be fun.
SPEAKER_00I think I think he owes back taxes now, and he's uh he's being sued by people. He wrote a check to some jeweler and it didn't clear. First of all, if you wrote a check to somebody in 2026, that should be fucking red flag number one. I mean, really, but yeah, man, it was just unbelievable.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, I feel sorry for them. But you watch people like him and Tyson when they got all those people hanging off them, it's like they're just Klingons for the money. Then as soon as the money's gone, all those people where'd all my friends go?
SPEAKER_00Here's the difference between Floyd and Tyson. Tyson did it at 21, 20 years old. I get it, you don't know how to handle that shit in your 20s. Floyd's now approaching, he's in his mid to late 40s, and he's still doing this shit. It's like, dude, fucking throw up. I mean, holy shit.
SPEAKER_01But how many child actors did we see like that? Macaulay Colkin and all them getting in trouble because they got got money at such a young age, and then they're like, Wow, and then everyone gives them everything. Go to a party, you want some of this, you want some of that? Okay.
SPEAKER_00Eric, there was a there was a documentary. I don't know if you ever saw it called Broke. Did you ever see it? And when you get a chance, watch it, and it's all about the IFB bodybuilders. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, it's a it's it's about all these um basketball players, football players, baseball players that made millions when they were young, and then now they're broke. Um, because uh because they're young, you know, and then you have uh then you have vultures that come and and want to take advantage of you. You have girls that want to take advantage of you. advantage of you and you're young so you want to go out and party and drink and do drugs and so on and so forth. And I truly I really believe that when you're in your 20s and you making your money through like your body or athleticism I I think it's it's only a recipe for disaster. Very few people have good people around them to say no don't do this and don't do that. Right. Um so uh so it's a kind and and at the at the end of the documentary they it's a list it's a list of people and then there used to be this there used to be this website that the girls used to go on this was before apps that the girl would that girls would go on and then they would it would tell them what celebrity was going to be at what nightclub and they would specifically go to that nightclub knowing that that celebrity was going to be there and they would try to fucking get with him you know uh and then then there and then if there was like a competitive if they were like all at like a fucking strip club and one guy spent five grand well the next guy was going to spend 10 grand and the next guy was going to spend 15 because now they have this competitive attitude and it was just ridiculous. One last one last one and then we'll we'll go back to bodybuilding but there was a I I told the story in one of the other videos I don't remember uh I think it was Herm Edwards was the head coach of the Jets and one of the guys that was that was uh playing for him a young guy you know in his 20s uh came to him for advice and said that somebody came to him and wanted to uh invest in this this product that he had and the product was uh and this was during the time we were getting a lot of floods and a lot of storms and whatnot like Sandy and then there was one before that in New Orleans right and this guy came to the player and said invest in my in my new product that I'm gonna put out and it's basically an inflatable plastic wrap that goes around furniture so that if your house gets flooded the the the the the the furniture doesn't get fucking damaged and if the flood is so bad that it floats out into the street you could just go get your furniture and it's not damaged.
SPEAKER_01And the guy went to Herman Herman Edwards I believe his name is Herman Edwards the head coach of the Jets and this is the story that he told him and the guy said are you fucking not like he told him you're out of your mind if you invest in this but this is the shit because you know the truth is if you put your money in a in a SP 500 fund oh yeah right for the next 30 years you can't beat it but that's not fun it's not sexy it's not you know it's and that's got that's I want to go put it all on red in Vegas they want to open a restaurant they want and then they they can't be there because they're professional athletes from them well remember what's his name did that MC Hammer when he fucking went broke and shit because yeah so they have all this money it's like and they have a house in Florida but then they have one in California and it was like you can only live in one why don't you just have a beautiful house in Florida if you want to go to California stay in a fucking nice hotel stay in the penthouse suite why you got to buy fucking homes everywhere then you got to pay for the property tax and all that oh it's crazy it's like Tyson used to have apartments for his girlfriends and like almost in all different cities all over the fucking did it did you never heard of Motel 6 Tyson come on it it was it's crazy but you know when you're 21 and then people you know fucking sign forget about paying your taxes you don't know the difference between a financial advisor and an accountant at 21 that's right I just wonder what that noise was I looked out the window and my old mate friend Paul's out the front fucking with my leaf blower blowing the path so I'm like what the fuck's he doing yeah um okay so do we cover oh Fackery oh Fackery Fackery says that he is retiring language training yeah that was when he was on muscular development he did not like is he going geezy is he switching over the AI content is he I don't yeah I don't know what he's Eric what did he say because I didn't see it you saw it he he posted like a transformation of uh it was a guy but it was AI okay yeah I saw that long post he said his name was Ronnie and uh saying he went from like 300 pounds to 220 and in like 16 weeks and uh like you can look on there it's clearly ai right and everybody called him out on it and then he made a post saying it was a social excuse why he made it isn't it that's what everyone's going on about now who made it Fackery or the guy Fackery did. Fackery made it oof yeah that's he needs hand with AI he should have come to me I could have helped him out oh uh Xavier says he he he factoried up his whole career exactly that's not good if he did that why would you do that man because I saw because I saw that dude what's his name Goob or someone I think yeah I saw two videos I saw two videos today I didn't watch them but everyone's been putting up about his comeback oh I got something to bitch about quickly fucking mad at muscle discord and now douchey douchebag from strength addicts did you see the videos they're putting up going I can't believe Lee trained with daddy aioli the cat abuser the one Lee outed like if you go on their page they've linked everyone in and then the comments are like fuck Lee it's like this was a couple of years ago this Daddy Aoli guy Erica not sure if you know of him young kid I'm I always like yeah all my like all my trophies medals I I sold them all often I give all the money to animal charities I didn't have one bodybuilding trophy or medal left gave all the money animal charities so a couple of years ago a video came out of him punching his cat and that's I put luck everywhere and people were fucking hating on me saying I abused my daughter I just said whatever and he lost all his sponsors and shit and he had to do counseling and they took the cat off him you know and I'm like okay so a couple of years go by and I'm with young LA now and he lost his contract with him but now he's back. I was in Mexico City two months ago I went to the gym to train with Ronnie and I said to Sid Fuck that young kid's going to be here I said if he comes over the camera tries to start shit I'll hit him because he abused the cat and that I'm like oh how's this going to turn out because being a young influencer still he might want content that's like shocking but as we're at the gym the promoter from the show came over goes no the daddy Ioli guy actually wants to come and talk to you they said what for he goes actually wants to apologize and I'm like oh really so when he came over I just made a thing like oh have you stopped fucking abusing animals and shit and he's like got all quiet he's like no I'm very sorry you know what it did was a big like he did his huge apology and then I shook his hand and said okay and then before I was leaving the gym I just pushed him on a few reps and then I said they leave the fucking animals alone I just smiled I shook his hand now they're making a big thing Lee shaking the hand that's the hand that he abused the cat with Lee worked out with him Lee did this I said none of you fuckers have done what I've done for animals like animal shelters I said you're making up a story from one fucking photo where I'm shaking this kid's hand and yes look some people don't change but like you're man enough to come and apologize and you know Matt's like that's no different to abusing a child I'd never shake oh fuck me dad I said you're in the bodybuilding words in the bodybuilding words you're probably shaking hands with fucking people who are abusing their wives their fucking kids their fucking whatever so yeah but that like I couldn't believe they did a whole thing knowing that how much I love Annuals just because I shook his hand because he apologized for what he did I'm like uh uh and this was Matt from Muscle Discord talking about it's not on his page it's on his page if you have a I don't pay attention to Matt or strength addicts you know you know strength addicts page too that's on his too there's a picture of me it's got shaken hand then they've got this whole big story there and then him and Matt are going back and forth I can't believe it either and then people like oh I'm disappointed in Lee I'm like go fuck yourselves what have you done how many thousands have you given to Animal Charities you fuckers I don't pay attention to Matt's content I don't like Matt uh Matt did me a little bit the thing was too this was two months ago and I even said to Matt and Dukey from Strength Addicts I said you both had my number when you saw it be shaking his hand you could have said Lee what's this all about which you wouldn't have had to ask me because I'd get a big video about it after it happened in Mexico City saying I was shocked did he come and apologized and blah blah blah so old news people for reporters you're two months behind.
SPEAKER_00Yeah I saw the one with Lunsford talking to uh the guy that have used oh yeah yeah I think yeah he did the same thing with Lunsford yeah saying yeah and then he then he went on the you must have seen the picture of me then he went on the whole tire with me too it's like you know okay first of all if I saw the guy I'm an animal person too Eric I got two I got two dogs um I'm always gonna have more than one dog I'm a big dog person um but uh if some if that if that person came over to me and wanted to shake my hand I didn't know who he was yeah I would fucking shake his hand I don't I don't know who he is or what he does right um and then if you're somebody like Lee um or even you Eric and then they just you see a picture of you shaking the guy's hand they go oh he's he's he's friends with the guy who fucking abuses cats and abuses it's like it's like dude the guy I took a picture with him and shook his hands you know like I don't know if you ever saw and it's like I said too look I don't forgive him for what he did but he was just mad enough to come and apologize.
SPEAKER_01And I said to Sid that whole time going there I said this could get ugly this weekend you'd that young kid start shitty about the animals and I was really thinking I was going to kick off but then even Sid said no what's his name the promoter said he wants to actually talk to you and apologize for what he did now so I was like what if he's mad enough to come and apologize and let him come and apologize and then as I was leaving the gym I shook his hand that's the photo that it's like I can't believe Lee worked out with him how could you work out with an animal abuser I think they said the same thing about Derek because Derek trained with him Derek how could you train with an animal abuser and I'm like oh fuck no yeah I don't know if you ever saw this I I I'm I'm always I have a more wealth of useless knowledge Eric uh the the the police came to Mike Tyson's house this was like maybe five six or seven years ago and they have a picture of him shaking this guy's hand and they go do you know this guy and he goes no I shook his hand well it turned out to he was like some kind of serial killer and Mike Tyson looked at the cop and he said do you know how many people want to shake my hand and take a picture with me because I don't know who they people are they just want to shake my hand and take a picture with me.
SPEAKER_00It's the it's like I could be like Epstein you could have been at a party shook Epstein's hand and all of a sudden you're friends with Epstein you fucking burger I was at a party I took a photo when I was at uh Nashville with Lee and there's like literally a thousand people lined up to shake hands with you serial killers did I shake hands with you're gonna tell me there's not one lineup there's gonna be one fucking hot on that hasn't beat his wife or beat his kids or fucking is a serial killer and they're like hi Lee nice to meet you yeah yeah yeah I mean it's whatever I don't one of them could have been jacking off 10 minutes before he shook my hand because he's excited to see me I don't know Matt Matt will take the smallest in the most innocent thing and turn it into this fucking just for views and clicks well it just pissed me off because I know how much I love animals and to turn Linda I can't believe Lee's doing this and doing that like I said when I've given so much money like I said every metal bodybuilding trophy I sold and gave it all to animal shelter so it's like fuck you people yeah it's just his channel is just I mean I I know I know he gets eyes on his channel I know but I can I can't do his style I just can't I can't see yeah but it's worse because he just makes shit up I mean well at that time where Steve Weinberg just throwing something out and see what you can catch yeah right like Steve Weinberger was on the phone at a show at the at the the judge's booth and he turned into he turned the thing changing the scores he's getting the word he's telling he's being told who to place could have been like your Uber's orders downstairs okay thank you yeah and he turned it into that there was a phone call from the manions and they told him to change the scorecards and it's like oh I'm glad you knew who you the FBI you could track his phone numbers I just can't and then you know he's been on my channel before when when we first started we started off okay but then with me what happened was I tried to get uh I mean it's it's water under the bridge now I tried to get Wendy Fortino on and then he kind of um torpedoed it he interrupted it and he put a he put a a note a comment saying I said um welcome to the family anytime I send somebody a t-shirt uh a a series of son's bodybuilding t-shirt and they put it up on their Instagram I put it up on mine and I said welcome to the family meaning that you just have the t-shirt now you're part of us and not that so he go he writes something like fake news Wendy's not gonna be part of his and uh it seemed as though I he was trying to say that Wendy was gonna be my co-host and I'm like no you're a guest you know and so for a while like Wendy was like I think I'm gonna step back because I don't like this drama and I kind of don't blame her right I don't fucking blame her right um but then she found it came on you know months later and whatnot but I mean why the fuck do you have to do that? Now you're fucking with my podcast and I messaged them and I was like dude anytime I give somebody a t-shirt and I sent them a picture of on my Instagram of a just a guy that like watches my show and I sent them a t-shirt and I said the same thing welcome to the family. And of course he never responded to me when he didn't come on for like six months later and I'm like fuck this guy now you you're fucking with my now you're fucking with my guests you're fucking with my money fuck I can't deal with that dude and if he wants to call me a liar I still have the fucking post where he said fake news so you know I can I I could put it up but nah man I I can't get down with guys like that.
SPEAKER_01I don't like that and it's I want to get I want to find every photo of him shaking hands and I want someone to look into every person that he shook hands with.
SPEAKER_00Yeah exactly and that's Eric that's why when I when I told you that at the beginning uh before we started when I said you know you're one of the good ones you're one of the people that are down to earth straightforward nice guy just want the best for people I'm I'm fucking being like dead ass serious like there's a lot of scumbags there's a there's a lot of shitheads and oh yeah you know it is what it is you know it's unbelievable just just be like me just be a fucking idiot and the world goes by and you just smile and wave you know I left the window on the bus.
SPEAKER_01Lee is this superstar celebrity and he doesn't give a shit he'll be friends with anybody I'm a fucking idiot I don't care fuck that status it's like on a body that's always tell people when they go you're Lee Priest I'm like I'm just the guy that lifts weights made I'm no better than you or anybody else it's like you're you say like you know you're a plumber.
SPEAKER_00You're a great plumber I was good at lifting weights I'm no better than you oh no but yeah it's like I know I'm just the guy that lifts weights I'm a fucking idiot so I don't get it everybody's name when they go you're Lee Priest I'm like I'm just Lee I'm fucking no one special trust me well well what was funny Eric is that what happened was I I interviewed Lee there was a girl that interviewed Lee and then she I she had had me on her show and I said you know can you ask Lee if he would come on mine for an interview so he she contacted he he comes on she was nice notes ready Lisa her name was Lisa yeah and she was a sweetheart of a girl yeah yeah yeah sweetheart of a woman I think she's a college professor I don't know what she teaches yeah so okay so long story short we go through the video uh the interview and it's a typical leap priest interview I had all these notes I went just I just threw them away I'm like I can't I can't he's just asked I can't even ask a question he's rambling off like a machine turned out to be a great interview and then I said why don't you come on the guy on the show with with the guys and at the time the guys were you know pro bodybuilders but you know I'm actually feeling a bit of a complex here I come on denial left what happened yeah I know um so then uh uh well one guy left because he's just working nights now and I asked him to talk to him his name is Luke I talked to him um uh I talked to him last week and he's still working nights so he said he should be back in in some time but Eric we have we have had a few who won't come on because I'm on here Eric we have been I'm too controversial now we're down to one because the guy who said he was now we're down to one because Sergio came on last week yeah but yeah one said I'm too controversial to come on with I'm like what do you do this one bodybuild I won't mention his name but oh no don't don't come up here and show people come come on say hello to people let them know I need you so uh so so I said Lee why don't you come on with us and he's like yeah no problem he comes on and it comes on the next week and comes on the next week and I'm like I'm thinking to myself why the fuck is Lee Priest like want to be on my show I'm like he could go on any bodybuilding show he wants so I call up Luke my my friend who's working nights and I was on the show and I said to him do you think Lee is like sincere that he really wants to come on our show and Luke was like I'm just trolling you yeah because I couldn't figure it out because here I am I had like 2000 subscribers meanwhile you could go on any show you want Rx Dennis you're my three thousand subscribers here yeah now yeah thanks when you had texted me the first time you're like let me come on the podcast and you said lee priest I'm like damn lead priest on the podcast yeah I was like I don't thought it was gonna be like a fake Lee Priest or something. No the real deal that's what I'm saying holy shit I shouldn't have gone on that one. Yeah so Luke's like no I think he's being sincere and and it turns out he's just nuts I I do have I do have seven cats on the crazy cat man aren't I yeah I know believe me I'm a I'm a fucking dog person too all right before we go funny story before we leave there are certain I'm gonna do another video by myself of talking about things that annoy the shit I'm me in the gym right so I'm in the locker room and uh in the locker room at the gym there's two rows of lockers on top and on the bottom nothing was available on the top so I gotta take the one on the bottom so I take the one on the bottom put my bag in there put a lot I got a padlock put it on so now I'm going to leave and there's a guy who gets out of the shower or the sauna or something like that and he's got a towel and he's got his towel around him but he doesn't have his towel around his waist he has the towel around from here down like a woman right he's modest he's modest so we're like this from here down like a woman and I'm like look at him like that's fucking weird so I go to my uh locker and because it's on the bottom shelf bottom I gotta kneel down oh yeah just so happens that guy so how did it taste John yeah almost I got up and walked away just so happens that guy had the locker above me right next to me oh yeah just coincidence the towel off while he's there total fucking naked and then I just got up and like walked away and waited till he was done I was like dude you gotta be fucking kidding me bro like you you felt you failed a twitch that's why you had to leave you like oh I'm getting a bit excited here I don't want to give it to sin exactly it's like hold on wait a minute I'm getting feelings I shouldn't have did it move I think it moved it was it would and the guy was this little Spanish guy right you know everything about him this little Spanish guy's a restaurant down the road and when he dropped his towel it was like it was it was uh it was just a bush but a little nub just his little fucking you you you got an lasting impression here you took a good look here his nub was right here and that's when I he's a grower not a shower john he's a grower his his his uh komasukyama looked like a walnut and a salad that's what it looked like it was unfucking believable and I'm like Jesus Christ man I know I know what John's towel or something yeah I know what John's gonna be beaten off to later the memories of the locker room Spanish mushroom yeah the Mexican mushroom guy there was one guy at the gym I go to this was like a couple years ago older guy he was just standing in the middle of the locker room like completely naked and he was eating a banana they all do that yeah eating a banana like I don't understand I'll get one once and the guy claims this that's the bench there and he's got his tail he takes his tail puts his leg up as he's drying himself sticks hanging down so how's your workout I'm like oh it's great it's like see you later there's anything old balls thing I I can understand taking a shower before you gotta go to work in the morning if you get there early in the morning and you leave straight from there to go to work but I I I just come home and take a shower why do I gotta what do you gotta fucking take a shower and show you show your balls and even if like I'm getting changed by this strange like if I come like let's say I take my motorcycle to to the gym and I have jeans on and boots and I gotta change dude I am I have my clothes on like with I have my underwear on at least within five fucking seconds like like supermates like yeah like I don't know why you gotta walk around fucking naked like and it's always a guy over 60 over 65 it's never it not it's it's if I if I was built if I was built like Bo I might walk around naked in the locker room just like dude Okay. Hey, he's all going, huh? Hey, he's going. All right, let last. I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna dramatize you right now, Eric. Uh did you ever see Bo?
SPEAKER_03Uh oh yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about.
SPEAKER_00Oh, you know who I'm talking about? Yeah, uh, so you know what he's famous for, besides being a bodybuilder?
SPEAKER_01Dude, it's if you built like that in the locker room, I'd do it just uh fucking fuck we call it gonna be like what the what the fuck?
SPEAKER_00Holy shit. You want to talk about feelings inferior as a man, you're like, holy shit. If you if you cut half of that shit away, he would still be bigger than most people. It's it's fucking ridiculous, son of a bitch.
SPEAKER_03That's yeah, he he that was like I remember him from Junior Nationals back then because we had the same coach. Oh Vu.
SPEAKER_01See, I wouldn't have I would I wouldn't have got into I wouldn't have got into bodybuilding, I would have just gone straight to fucking porn.
SPEAKER_00Well, you know his back, you know his backstory, Eric? Uh-uh. Well, he went to jail for murder. I think he was in jail for 16 years. Really? And yeah, it was like baby mama bullshit. He was dating a girl, and the girl had a kid from another guy, and he was like in his uh 20 or 21 years old. And um uh he was with the girl at her house, I believe it was her house, and the the father of the baby, and uh now her ex-boyfriend comes to the fucking house and is calling him out that he wants to fight him in the street, right? So Bo goes out there and fights him and beats the guy to death. Oh, yeah, and then um I said, Did you realize that he was dead? He goes, I didn't know he was dead until the next day, but I knew I went too far. And I was like, wow, and then he went to jail. Yeah, and then here's the best part he goes to jail, right? And um, there was a uh uh there was a jail called they they called it the terrodome or something like that, because it was really, really rough dudes in there. It was like a really and he puts in a transfer to go there. So the warden call call calls him in and says, You want to go there? Like, and and the warden wanted to keep him because he never he never did wasn't in any trouble or anything like that. And he goes, You want to go there? Why do you want to go there? And he goes, Because they got a good weight room there, and then he swore that when he came out, he would be a professional bodybuilder, and within three years of his release, he was a pro bodybuilder and won a 212 mr. Uh New York.
SPEAKER_01But it would be it would be a scary piece to have because if you went into jail and they're eyeing you off, go listen. If any of you motherfuckers rape me, I'm gonna rape you next. So that'd be like boom, boom, okay, we're good. Fine. You're safe. Okay, we won't touch you.
SPEAKER_00Unbelievable. All right, gentlemen, we've been doing this over an hour. I'm gonna let you guys go. Thank you. Um, guys, don't forget to tune in on uh it'll the the it won't be live, it'll be recorded, but it'll be out Thursday morning in the States. Uh it'll be me, Lee, Justin Compton, and Joe Palacios. Oh, yes, uh and then we actually are gonna have a surprise guest. Oh, yes, nothing I didn't even know. I don't even know. Nothing, I'll tell you who it is later, but nothing for Lee. It's a surprise for Justin and Joe Palacios. But it should be it should be very interesting. So uh Eric bringing Joe Winger back from the grave. Joe Joe's been doing a lot of fucking podcasts if you he's been making the rounds.
SPEAKER_01We just I just did one with him and Xavier for IFBB AMA the other day.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and he was just on Armada King King uh and on and on Fuads, I think a week ago.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he's been making the rounds, you know, because I was always if you get ready for a show, it keeps your mind busy so you don't just start thinking about kills in a couple of hours, so you're not like when's my next meal? When's my next meal? Right.
SPEAKER_00I'm always like I I always say this if I know somebody's competing and getting ready for a show, I'm like, man, if you want to do the show, you know, any feeling up to it, because I know you know sometimes you you don't want to be bothered, and you know, but uh Joe was like, No, no, no, I'm I'll be there, no problem. So but Eric, uh, thank you for coming on again, dude. Really, uh all the respecters are good seeing you again, Eric. I'll be coming on. You're cool as shit. I appreciate it, and no problem.
SPEAKER_01And Lee Priest, remember neutral fit, code priest, 40% off and 30% off, 30% off the whole site.
