SPEAKER_02Okay, yeah, don't tell me. So I don't know if anybody saw my Instagram post, but on my other channel, I interviewed Samantha Mack, who is a very well-known adult entertainer and social media influencer. And she actually did us a favor. And as a thank you, I sent her a serious outcast shirt, which is my the name of my other channel is serious outcast.
SPEAKER_00And so I sent there's a thumb going up the U Fum.
SPEAKER_02Because I think if you do a thumbs up or something like that, it fucking happens. I don't know. So uh yeah, it does, right? Let me see. Does some some shit? I don't fucking know, whatever. Yeah. So I sent her a series outcast uh tank top. And I also sent her uh Nutrifit protein and nutrifit shaker cup as a thank as a thank you, you know, for coming on. And she actually did the old uh, you know, as her adult entertainers do, she shook it up in a manner that looked very familiar to which is used to that, you know, because she was shaking it up like this. Yes, and of course she has a job.
SPEAKER_00I've done that, I've done that on videos before where I'll have it down here and be like this. Yeah, yeah. Which is used to that. Then you're like, then just like do this and you're like, and people like, how you going? Yeah, that's good. People think you're doing something else.

SPEAKER_00Like I said, I still I still just take a quarter of a scoop and I'm good. Some days I think some days I go a little bit over, I might just be a little bit over, and I can feel it. My head's a bit more. Oh fuck, oh shit.

SPEAKER_00Uh I think just after Anaheim expo. We're gonna try and have it ready by there, but it would definitely be out by Vegas because I'm doing a few store appearances in Vegas and then a couple in California, but we're we're trying to have it by Anaheim, but okay, I think it could just be a week or two after that. So Vegas, it should be ready, yes. So end of end of September.
SPEAKER_02Their their protein, their epic protein. I don't know if you ever use it, it's fantastic. Yeah, my wife loves it. I love it. I actually I sent it to that girl Samantha, and I actually got a uh uh another one from a friend of mine, and they they love it. It's really, it's really good, and it tastes good. It's epic. It's epic, that's right. And of course, this week I'm going to throw in another one. I have not thrown in another one, but by the time we're the string fossil, you're throwing in this time. I think I'm gonna do the uh the uh the what do you call a blocker? Oh the myostatin one, yeah. I think I'm gonna use the myostatin blocker. I've heard a lot of people.
SPEAKER_00Sometimes in the morning I can't really see because the lights are on in on the bed. So I just I just grab whatever one I get. So I don't sometimes even know what I'm taking, but I get a good pump and have a good workout.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna throw in maybe I'll throw in two because I have a couple of I have a whole bunch of them. Maybe I'll throw in two. I'm gonna use the myostatin one and another one. I'm gonna I'm gonna see.
SPEAKER_00I'll have to ask that guy at IFBB AMA if pro hormones are good for me. He's told me everything else I do in life isn't good, and like I said, drink and lean. He wrote a whole thing, it breaks down this and it goes through the whole chemical breakdown of what alcohol does in the body. I'm like, fuck mate, I just had a few shots before I did this video. Get over it for fuck's sake.

So he's like, you know, do you want to advertise for me? And I was like, Oh, yeah, sure. And that's how I learned how uh I shouldn't. Because people were telling commenting, you can't. So I actually messaged Dave.
SPEAKER_00They say they say it's a drug, it comes up drug. So I messaged I messaged Dave. Put your thumb down, put your thumb down.

They were like, um, it's like I even though it's a gray area, YouTube frowns upon it, and you know, I was like, all right, I don't want to take any chances. The one, the um the one, there's one GLP one that's FDA approved. Uh, what is it? The semiglutide. That one's approved. That's the only one that I know of, but I I'm not really up on the peptides.

SPEAKER_02If he if he can improve even a little more, the one thing more. The only thing about Patrick is he's inconsistent. What his legs a little bit no, no, I wasn't gonna say that. The only thing Patrick is he's inconsistent, you know.
SPEAKER_00That's probably the last two he's got better, so hopefully.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he they were like this show. This show he looked incredible, he looked better than Tampa, but then all of a sudden, like but if you remember, he did the Arnold UK and he looked good, and then he went and did uh uh Pittsburgh and he really shit the bet. It really because he's the kind of guy that if he's five percent off, forget it. Yeah, yeah, he just drops.
SPEAKER_00But if he's on some some can get away at five percent off, some can't.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like like Nick Walker, he could be fucking 10% off and still beat everybody, right? He's just in a category, but he definitely I saw I saw Joe's not doing it though. Joe's not doing it, still pulled out. I don't know if it's a mistake or not. I kind of understand where he's coming from. He's probably a little bit disappointed. Is he done? Is he done for the Edo or is he done for the I don't know if you saw the interview with uh he went on FooWatch channel. I I see a pop up, I haven't watched it now. I watched it and he basically said in Tampa Um he was using Halo, and it turned out to be Anadrol. Yeah, uh so he had gotten fake Halo. And then he actually said this, which was really this is why people like him so much. The last time he was on Fuad, he said that he really believed that he should that he's a top Olympian and he could be really good this year, and he wants to win and make it to the Olympia.
SPEAKER_00Nothing wrong with thinking positive, not at all.
SPEAKER_02And then Fuad brought it up uh from his last one, and he said, Look, that's what I believed back then, but now I know I just have more work to do. I'm not there yet. Yeah, which was really admirable to say.
SPEAKER_00Which sometimes you need you sometimes you need to stand there, people like Nick and that to find your place and know where you are in the absolute things until you actually stand there. Yeah, you can say, Go and buy pictures. I think I can hold my own. But when you're on stage, that's when you really find out where where you fit in. And like I said, it didn't look bad, it didn't look out of place, it's just more conditioning than anything, which all comes all the time.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he's having trouble with conditioning, and another big guy, Colossus Ken, seems to be having trouble with conditioning because I really thought he was going to do good this year. Because last year he it seems to be these guys that put on muscle very fast, a lot of muscle very fast, seem to have a problem finding the formula to get really lean and hard, uh, like the veterans, you know. So I think you just give these guys another year or two and they'll they'll be fine.
SPEAKER_00That'll work it out.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, James, very happy for him. He's like the he's the nicest guy in the world, you know. He that's another thing. James and Joe, they're the same, as they will not say a bad word about anybody, man. Yeah, and and Joe has had people like like Charles Griffin was talking shit about him. Even Nick, even Nick, I forgot what podcast he was on.
SPEAKER_00He was I saw that, I saw that video he did after saying something about Joe and that. It's like I think he's acting almost like Joe was disrespectful, but I I didn't think Joe come across as disrespectful.
SPEAKER_02Not at all, no, not at all. Joe's not a disrespectful guy, no, and and to Joe's credit, he didn't answer back, he didn't fire back, he's just not interested in that drama, he just wants to be a bodybuilder. And uh, you know, I think people really like him for that.
SPEAKER_00I did see James say he might make him a go and we could we're yeah, no, really, Jesus. Let's follow me. That's what Joe. I mean, um, James did say he could think about maybe doing one more before the Olympia to get qualified for next G.
SPEAKER_02So he might not do Austria, but you mean after I think I think there's one after Austria.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, we got yeah, I think there's is there one is there one after Austria? That's not a qualification there.
SPEAKER_02There's plenty of them after Austria. Okay, so after Austria, after the Olympia, you got the Prague Pro, you got the British finals, uh yeah, the Prague Pro, the British finals, the Slovakia do the British one anymore.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_02Romania, Spain, the big man weekend, and then you got the Chirux Classic.
SPEAKER_00It goes really, really, it's like the old European tour. If you're in shape for the Olympia and you want to hang in there, like James has proved he can hang in there, there's there's extra money there plus a qualification for next year's Olympia. So if James can hang it out and do a couple more shows if he felt like it, then yeah, it's good money plus a qualified, you know. Who else would be going to the British one? I couldn't think of any names that would tackle James there.
SPEAKER_02You're gonna have a lot, all right. So Olympia is the September 25th and 26th, Prague is October 10th and 11th, and then a week after that is the British finals, October 17th. The week after that is Slovakia. Then you start going into November, December, and Chirut Classic is in December, the end of December.
SPEAKER_00So you can forget that one, but I'd figure those three, those three are all pretty close in the European area.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you're gonna have a lot of guys from the Olympia that want to qualify for the for um for uh next year, but we'll see what happens.
SPEAKER_00But I'm glad that he I am glad that he even Joe could have hit one of those shows after Olympia and qualified.
SPEAKER_02I just did Anabolic Academy with with uh Jason, and I and I said now that he's not doing Texas, if I were him, I would do an early show next year. Like I would do a what's right after the Arnold Detroit or New New York Pro? I would do one of those shows.
SPEAKER_00Pretty much not far out of shape now. If he just yeah went dialed it down for like a couple of weeks where he's not full on, but then hit one of those shows that qualifies you over there, like the British or one of them.
SPEAKER_02I could you know you could do that, yeah, absolutely. Like there's no reason he doesn't need any more muscle, that's for sure. So he doesn't need to take a long offseason.
SPEAKER_00If you qualified before the end of the year, then you got all of next year just to prep for the Olympia.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, right, right, right. We'll see. So, all right, let's see who else.

And I I messaged him and I uh you know, I said I would like and then I messaged him quickly because I forgot he had Texas, and I said it'd probably be better if you come after Texas. Why do you think he's he doesn't he seems to have I thought he I thought he looked good, whether it's I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I know a lot of people talk about his blocky waist and stuff like that, but come on, he's not bad. He's not the only one. He's the muscle size he has and he has good conditioning too, so hard as nails. What did he was it his arm? Did he tore a bicep last year, wasn't it? Was it a bicep or did it really?
SPEAKER_02Let me look it up. I don't remember.
SPEAKER_00Pretty sure because he tore a bicep either early this year or late last year.
SPEAKER_02All right, well, okay. I got Regan grinds up. So I mean, Regan is obviously the front runner to win this fucking thing, right? But um that goes on.
SPEAKER_00I was on some podcast, I think, with Antoine and that, and we were doing a recap on the IFBAMA and how he dressed there.
SPEAKER_02That's for a second.
SPEAKER_00And one of the officials, they told me that when he went to the press conference, like I'm not the press conference, you know, where the athletes check in. One of the officials thought it was very was very um not good wearing those clothing and that sort of stuff. It was like making fun of or something. It's like, Jesus, fuck have relax a bit. Like disrespectful wearing coming dressed like that.
SPEAKER_02Really? Oh, and he was gooping off, it's not official.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's acting like he was like a gangster type rapping. Yeah, right. I said I said I said, let me guess, was that person black?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I was gonna say the same thing. It's not disrespectful, it's cultural appropriation, it's just ridiculous. See, you I could think I I'm obviously gonna go with Regan winning this because you know Regan's gonna come in tighter.

SPEAKER_02You know, and he's got a beautiful shape, and he's a big guy. He's got what he's filled out his frame, he's got a lot of money.
SPEAKER_00He wasn't far off at the last one. It's just like that was it.
SPEAKER_02Just James, James has basically found the formula and is able to hold on to it. So I think Regan is probably just gonna come. If he if Regan comes in two to five percent better, it's gonna be very difficult to beat him. So, all right. Let me see if we can find Lewis Breed. Uh Lewis.

SPEAKER_00I don't trying to find uh some back shots that he has, but the thing is he's pretty good from the back, if I recall his hamstrings and that. Look at him there backstage.
SPEAKER_02I mean, that he he really is an impressive bodybuilder. I I just would love to know I would love to know a judge's opinion as to why they don't play some higher. I think he came in fifth, if I'm if I'm accurate. But let me see if I could find a some back shots of him because his backshots are.

SPEAKER_02Maybe, maybe like his conditioning's good. Yeah, and he's big as a house, you know. He gets yeah, look at the house like I mean I like Lewis Breed better, don't get me wrong. Uh Lewis Breed has a prettier physique. His waist is a little wide, but still a conditioning. It looks impressive. I don't know. I I'm gonna see if I can get him on and ask him about Lewis Breed and Tim Boudishane because I what he what he is looking for, for fact's sake. Yeah, exactly. Especially Lewis, like I don't know. Uh alright. The other guy, let's see.
SPEAKER_00Let's look at Patrick Moore because you think Lewis and Joe match up similar too.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, right. Patrick Moore, because he looked he looked great. Uh was this what was this? This is Atlanta, alright. See, I maybe it's me. I know he has a better shape. That goes without saying. I just prefer me personally, I'm more impressed with a Zeke like Lewis, the French type mass. That's just my preference. I understand why judges go for Patrick. Look how small his weight.
SPEAKER_00That's why I said that's why I said it's so hard when you know I equate it to go into a car show when you know you have judges where they say they're going to pick the best car of the day. And like I said, you'll have a Lamborghini, a Ferrari, a Bugatti, and that the judge goes, the Lamborghini wins. And people go, oh, that's bullshit. The Bugatti Veyron's better, and this is better because we have a preference. But now, if you go to a car show and it's nothing but Lamborghinis, and because it's the same make model, then you can go to, well, this one had a better interior, this one had a better detail, paint work, and all this sort of shit. When they're all the same car, it's easier to pick a winner. But when they're all different, like I said, Patrick looks great. Lewis looks great. It must just come down to a judge's preference because they're all so different, but yet they're all so good.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I can understand why they picked Patrick over Lewis because Patrick, you know, has this small waist. He almost looks classic. You know, he's got this beautiful physique. And again, it's it's it's completely up to him. If when he comes in shape, he's very difficult to beat. But there are times where he's off, and what and if he's off, he's looking at him, looking at him there, he reminds me of um remember Ron Love. Yes, I do remember Ron Love, yeah. Uh the other guy who was jumping in last minute is John Jewitt. John Jewitt. John uh Jewitt. Let's see, is that how you spell his name? John Jewett. There we go.

SPEAKER_02Is this when was this? See, he's got an odd physique, but he comes in grainy and hard, big time. So this is two days ago, apparently. Oh no, six days out. Sorry, it says it right here, six days out. But he, you know, he's an impressive bodybuilder, but was he's last show. I think he won a show last year and went to the Olympia, but he obviously didn't break the top ten. But um he is a good bodybuilder. Yeah, let me see. I'm pretty sure let's scroll down. I'm pretty sure he did the pretty sure he won a show either last year or the year before and went to the Olympia and did not break the top ten. He uh did look, there's all there's a lot of good bodybuilders out there.
SPEAKER_00But the breaking the top 10 in the Olympia this year, I think, is gonna be hard if a lot of the guys all turn up.
SPEAKER_02The guys in the the guys in the top 10 in the Olympic in the Olympia, it's not it's not a joke, dude. It's fucking insane to break that top 10. I mean you look at the guys in that top 10, and it's like showed it.
SPEAKER_00What's that showed there? How to build muscle? What's that taken from that one on stage?
SPEAKER_02Uh uh just a picture. Exactly. Oh, there it is. That was Tampa from last year. Yeah. Like I said, he is a good bodybuilder, there's no question about it. But once you get on that Olympia stage, man, you know, I don't have to tell you, you've been there and you've been in the top five. It's a different world. You know, these are the best guys in the world, the best genetics, and the best coaches, and the best physiques in the world. It's not like you know, like and you could clearly see it. Nick Walker does Tampa, and it's not even close. Yep, it's not even close.
SPEAKER_00And those top and and those top five guys, top ten guys, they're fucking and like I said, you never wish bad on anyone, but when you get to that top five or you aim it, like I was in the top six three times. When you get to that level, you're just hoping you know, if I crack the top six, maybe it's because I hope someone fucks up and doesn't come in on. It's the only way I'm gonna get in is the top six okay.

SPEAKER_02See, he's another guy that has all this new muscle on him. And in great shape, he just can't seem to find the right conditioning. Yeah, it just looks like there's a film of water over. I think it's I just think it's young muscle, you know what I mean?

You have the best genetics, you Ronnie, and Kevin Lavron, Phil Heath, I'd say, Phil, Phil, like you guys, like nobody, those guys, you can't compare anybody to you guys because genetically, you were just the most gifted bodybuilders on the face of the earth, and it's it's it's almost unfair to say to compare you guys because it did it's like the light years ahead, especially Ronnie. I hate when say people say, Um, let's just get out of here.
SPEAKER_00I hate when Ronnie could still win the Olympia today if you look like he didn't do it. That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_02Like you're talking, I hate when people say, Yeah, but Ronnie Coleman, you're talking about the Michael, the Michael Jordan of bodybuilding here. You're talking about the babe Ruth of bodybuilding. There's never gonna be another one like him.
SPEAKER_00I'm not taking nothing away from Derek or Hardy or them. Oh, it's just they Ronnie at his best, they wouldn't beat him on both.
SPEAKER_02No, not at all, not even close. You that's not but that's nothing on them, but just like we're saying, Ronnie was just that good. You take 2003 Ronnie and put him into the he's still Mr. Olympia. He's still Mr. Olympia. If you know, it's just he was just that good. Kevin Lavron was another guy where it's like he literally looked like a normal guy walking around in his offseason.
SPEAKER_00That's what I hate when people say it's just drugs. You have to remember when Kevin Kevin was like my Christian, when he didn't compete, he stopped training, probably ate two, three meals everything. Everything did nothing, did nothing. And so, of course, the muscles gonna atrophy. But like if they said, like me, shit, I haven't had a shot now at test for probably six to eight weeks or more. I gotta get some. But it's like me, people go, Well, you must be on gear head, I'll keep the size I got now. Because I still go to the gym every day, I still eat. As long as I'm training, yeah, the muscle's not gonna atrophy away. I'm still gonna maintain what I have, even if I'm doing light circuit workouts.
SPEAKER_02But you guys, you all right. So you look at Kevin Lavron, and he was the polar opposite of you, and this is what I mean by that. Kevin Lavron would lose all kinds of weight in his off season, and he would look like a normal dude, you wouldn't even recognize him. And then 12 weeks before the Olympia, whatever show he was doing, by the time he gets to the show, he was a freak of nature winning, breaking the top five. You were the opposite, you were as you were a fat fucking slob. Hey, hey, hey, hey, and then all of a sudden, then you you were like you were unrecognizable.
SPEAKER_00Jesus Christ. You're a big sick, you know how to make me feel good when I'm still a bit sick. Thanks.
SPEAKER_02And then you would show at the Olympia and you would be like, What the fuck?
SPEAKER_00Why don't you just say you're a fat? Why don't you just say you're a fat slob? If I look like that, I would have killed myself. Why don't you just say that in for sake, you know?
SPEAKER_02But I'm giving you a compliment because it was like your off season, you just became you fucking ate what you wanted. I was enjoying myself, John.
SPEAKER_00I was enjoying myself.
SPEAKER_02You literally just got fat, and then everybody else, and then all of a sudden you would be in shape, and it's like, how did he do that? You would be like 280 and you'd compete at 210. And like, how the fuck did I do that?
SPEAKER_00I dropped seven, I dropped 75 pounds, even though I died for 12 weeks. I'd drop it 16 weeks, I'd drop the 75 pounds in about 12 weeks, and that was some training twice a day, two to three hours of cardio a day. So people don't think drugs know I fucking work my ass off.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, normal people can't can't do like regular, it's just not you guys clearly. I mean, uh, as far as genetically gifted, that late 90s, early 2000s was Ronnie Coleman turned pro-natural and didn't start winning shows until he went on gear. And then once he went on gear, it was it was a just out of. I think it was Kevin Lavron that was like, dude, you know what you get sooner or later you gotta join the dark side here, yeah. And then he did, and then just blew everybody away.
SPEAKER_00I mean I think flex helped him too a bit. Flex said, he said. So he's like, I wish I never did.
SPEAKER_02Flex was another guy, the flex was another guy that like um I remember uh another call me, call me Dillett. Oh my god, come here would be out partying all night long and break the top five in the in the Olympia.
SPEAKER_00Look at look at Paul Dillett, how big he was on that. People be like, Oh, he doesn't train hard and shit like that. Yeah, imagine if everyone was like, imagine if Paul just trained like Dorian for one year, how freaky he would be.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the guy now that's it that now that is the big difference. Dorian and Ronnie, they fucking trained to the point where they killed themselves, they trained it to the point where they would hurt themselves.
SPEAKER_00But yeah, anybody like you those guys, you guys did anything you wanted, and you think he wasn't even a huge bodybuilder, he had great genetics and looked great too. It was Sean Ray, good genetics, really good. Yeah, yeah. The thing that freaky, not freaky, but overall balance and condition. He came in like really good.
SPEAKER_02The only thing with Sean Ray, 100%. The guy is definitely one of the best bodybuilders in the world. You just you didn't see him make this radical change, like Kevin, like you, like Ronnie. That wasn't his he was always consistent, like Dexter, right?
SPEAKER_00Like, like as good as Dexter was, he always stayed consistent, right?
SPEAKER_02Exactly, exactly. There was never like a dramatic change because you did one thing, you know. It was never, it was never like you dropping 75 pounds and being in shape, breaking the top five at the Olympia, or Kevin Lavron gaining 75 pounds, or or Ronnie that just decided, oh, let me do testing D bowls and then fucking becomes Mr.
SPEAKER_00Olympia, you know, shots of vodka the night before.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's those guys, you know. Uh today, but that being said, today's open competitors are no joke. They're no joke. I mean, you look at the top, you got okay, Derek, Hardy, Andrew Jack, Samson, Martin Fitzwater, Nick Walker. That's already fucking six guys.
SPEAKER_00And as good as, and as good as they all are, I don't know what their coaches do, but I just seem to think in the back of my mind, as good as they come in, I just seem to think this day and age, they're overthinking it still. They're trying to do stuff that isn't necessary. I think the more basic you keep it, the better you're gonna be and better you're gonna look. I think these coaches now are trying to come up with these new, what hocus pocus stuff. And I think they're really just overthinking it. Because now, well, you talk about the basics, people go, oh, that's old school, that's too basic. Yeah, but it worked. You don't need to reinvent the wheel, people. Stick to what worked.
SPEAKER_02No, and I and I agree with you because we've seen these guys overthinking like Samson last year. Samson last year, like really just dieted way too down, you know, way too hard. And you know, Nick came in flat last year. Um Derek uh dieted down two years ago too hard and lost his legs, you know. That you know, and that's why it's like but that being said, you know, that's why I'm like, I'm always like, if you gotta get a coach and you're in that position, go get Asito, go get Farrah, don't fucking go get a shithead, you know. But you got so what would we say? We said Hottie, Nick, Andrew Jack, Samson, Derek, Martin Fitzwater, that's six, Brandon, that's seven. Uh Bonak, that's eight. You got then then you got Tonyo and Chris O. And I'm like, there's there's ten right there.
SPEAKER_00And depends how he looks too. That Sergei, the Russian guy.
SPEAKER_02The Russian, yeah, and then there's new blood coming in, like Sergey, and I think there's another new guy from Europe coming in.

Yeah, there's only one because he's got a strange name that I can't fucking remember, but uh, I think he's Nigerian too, but I'm not 100% sure. Now, speaking of Nigerian, then you got uh uh uh Quentin Oriah, he's another guy that's gonna be at the show, dude. It's no joke.
SPEAKER_00Quinton Quinton's very much like physique, like Patrick Moore. They match up pretty good.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, exactly. And now you got James doing the show, and if what's his name could get a visa to Bonnie, yeah, it's a this is a deep top fucking 15.
SPEAKER_00So you know you won't want to be off by a little bit because if you're off by a little bit, you're gonna rap so rap, yeah. But uh that's what can that's what can piss people off too, because even though Sean Ray said his first Olympia, he didn't come in good because and he got beat by Mike Quinn, and then he goes, you know, these people, and I know a lot of people can't handle it because normally if you're in shape, like Sean Mike Quinn would never beat Sean Ray, and sometimes these guys miss their mark, they do a show and they get beat by guys who normally wouldn't even touch them, and then mentally that fucks with him, and sometimes some can't come back from that. So like he beat me, he would never beat me if I was in shape, but you weren't in shape, so come in shape and it won't happen.
SPEAKER_02No, yeah, it's dude, it's like uh I would say 2019, 2021, 22 when you had Rami, Brandon, Roden, those guys were good bodybuilders, but but the competition wasn't as deep as it is.
SPEAKER_00I think I think then too, it caused it a covert thing, and I think that fucked with a lot of people's minds training and competing and getting ready for shows.
SPEAKER_02It's like uh why bother might not be able to do it, so uh but the the young the young blood back then was just coming in, you know. Uh Derek was at 212, and Nick had just turned pro and uh Hani was at 212, and Samson was an upcoming open bodybuilder. So those the young blood was coming up, and uh I don't think it was just as deep as it is now. And that's kind of bodybuilding, it's always like you know, goes in cycles like you have periods with great talent and not so great talent. They're still good, but then not as good as the generation before or generation after. Like after Arnold's generation, when you had like Frank Zane, I was not a big Frank Zane thing. Chris Chris Dickerson and Frank. Chris Dickerson and uh Samir was actually really good, though.
SPEAKER_00Same was good, and then after Samir, Lee Haney's reign came, so it sort of went good again. Yeah, then Lee Haney then you had a then you had because then you had the Lee Haney's the Rich Gaspari, the Labradors, but even back then Barry De May, he had a lot of good bodybuilders.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, then the yeah, the 80s had the the mid to late 80s into the early 90s, and then Paris Bob Bird song.
SPEAKER_00There's a lot of yeah, that's right. That's right, yeah, John John Nakashak.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he had some really good talent. Um, but that period of the late 70s.
SPEAKER_00It's good to watch Rustridum and Edward Kowak and Phil Hill. Remember Phil Hill, the black guy looked like uh fucking huge legs, posed the music of the night from Family Opera, did the splits.

SPEAKER_00But I'm going back to the old, was it like the 84 and 80 something Olympia with like Sergio Olever in it and stuff like that when he held his baby on stage? Oh, yeah. Yeah, that was yeah, that was the better eighth, ninth, tenth. But even the routines back then were pretty cool, and it's like you said just the one spotlight on the stage. It's just pretty cool to watch it. If Birdle Fox was in it, you know, it was pretty good.
SPEAKER_02Now, do you like it like the way it is now, where we don't know who's gonna win the Olympia because the top five are so good? Or do you like it where there's one dominant guy?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the dominance is fun for a while, but I prefer when you don't know, because yeah, even when you're competing with Ronnie Z, you're like, okay, Ronnie's gonna win, who's second and for you? It's almost like when I used to watch the Formula One when Schumacher used to race, there'd be like six races to go, and he's already got the championship wrapped up. It's like yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I remember I like when it's down to the last race and you gotta fight for the championship.
SPEAKER_02Hell of a lot more exciting, yeah, a hell of a lot more exciting. I remember going to the 2001 Olympia, I believe it was 2001 or two or 2000, I don't remember. Might have been 2000.

SPEAKER_02It was at the Mandalay Bay, and um there were people coming out, and we were young, we were like in our early 20s. It was me and two guys, two of my friends, and uh did you go to Isle Priest and you yelled out steroids? No, no, no, no. I this what's funny is that this is there were people coming out, we wanted to know how it was. So um these couple of black kids come out that are our age, so we're like, yo, you were into pre-judging, how did it go? And um they were like, Oh, you know, Ronnie took it, whatever, blah blah blah. And I was like, and I think we asked, How did Lee Priest look? And he actually said, This is really funny. He goes, I know you guys like Lee Priest, but he was a little off on this show. Like, meaning, I know you white guys are big fans of Lee Priest.
SPEAKER_00I think I was that off for 2000 months.
SPEAKER_02I don't remember to be honest with you, but um, you know, you had NASA, you had fucking insane freaks, you know. But um, we yeah, we went to the uh the finals, which was a waste because we had nosebleed seats. We was ridiculous. It was good, daddy.
SPEAKER_00Mandalay Bay was a good place, good place.
SPEAKER_02It was, it was.
SPEAKER_00We had a lot of fun when we went, everything was in the one location. You could just leave your room, come downstairs, walk to the wave.
SPEAKER_02And that's when like Mandalay Bay was like brand new and everybody wanted to stay there.
SPEAKER_00I remember the one year we had the the porn convention and the Olympia was at the Mandalay Bay. Really? That'd be you couldn't tell them apart, you couldn't tell the girls apart. What do you think about it? I think some of the porn girls dressed more respectful than the fitness girls. Yeah, exactly. They did.
SPEAKER_02And that same in that same uh year, we were on we were on uh line to go into a buffet, and Gunther was on there. But I remember we sat tables next to him, but he had his own food. And uh, I don't know why you would do that to yourself, watching other people eat a lot of food, right? But whatever. So my friend was being a little respectful and he just Said to him, you know, how do you think you're gonna do tomorrow? Like really quiet, you know, knowing that he's probably real irritable. And he said to my friend, he goes, Uh, I already saw Ronnie. Oh, he's he's gonna win.
SPEAKER_00He already saw Ronnie. I'm gonna go to the buffet fire. Exactly. Exactly. What's the point of eating this chicken? Fuck it.
SPEAKER_02And he was like a different person because I remember, you know, you're really irritable. And somebody was like stopping him for an picture and an autograph. And I remember he rolled his eyes. And what happened was right after the finals, not right after, maybe an hour after, we go to the casino, and there he is playing blackjack, right? And then I went up, then he had no problem talking to everybody, right? Because he probably had a fucking meal and a couple of drinks and having fun. Then he had, you know, then he was talking to everybody. But uh, yeah, man, it was just different. But you know, used to let it get to me.
SPEAKER_00I'd like to I used to like like talking to people beforehand to take my mind off the show and shit. So I never mind it. Sometimes people thought I better not talk to Lee, but I didn't mind it. I used to think, okay, come talk to me.
SPEAKER_02Yes, you know, it's uh it's it's not you know, bodybuilding is uncomfortable, especially the first list.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but I always think we choose to do it, then it's like I said, this fans, like I said, even if I'm having a crappy day and I could be tired. If I'm walking through to Hotel 4 and people want to talk and get photos, I'll take them because you know they've come from all over the world. This is their only chance to see you. If it makes a day, how hard is it? Just stop, take a photo, smile, and then go back to your room and be miserable, you prick.

SPEAKER_02That's a so that's a prequel. Now, the casting, the acting is fantastic. That that goes without saying. The acting is just tremendous, right? But here's the thing there was two things. The first one I got over really quick, the second one I couldn't get over. So in the book, they have uh uh Valerian, the the Valerian bloodline, right? And they're supposed to be a very wealthy house, and in the book, they're obviously white with these this straight blonde hair, but in the show they make them black with straight blonde hair, and I'm just like it was really weird. Like they would be black, but they had blonde hair, right? And I'm like, all right, I got past that. I'm like, okay, I get it. They actually were really good actors and actresses, so it didn't really bother me that much. They were really good, and I understand that it's fictional, but okay. But then there's this character, right? They're gonna have a civil war. That's what the whole show is about.
SPEAKER_00And there's this one guy that's recruit trying to recruit a navy for his side, and so he goes in negotiating and then negotiating and they're going back and forth, and then finally they agree, and then he says, Well, you have to I can nothing can happen unless the captain of the Navy says it's okay, and you have to, and they refer to him as him, as he, him, and then he's like, Okay, yeah, I gotta meet this person, it's fine, and out comes a woman, and I'm like, I'm watching this, and I'm going is that the the change in pronouns or something and I'm and I'm watching it and I'm going, and I literally rewound it.
SPEAKER_02And this was the end of last season. And I rewound it, and I'm like, Did he say him? And this and a woman comes out, a girl.

SPEAKER_02It was like when I was watching The Last of Us, and that girl said to the other girl, I'm going to be a father, and then I went, Oh god, he was Yeah, but the difference was they they forced you to try and accept this trans actor as a man. And it's like, I you're watching it going, so then in the first episode of the sent this season, you're watching it, and I'm watching, I'm going, if they give this girl another fucking, and she gets killed off in the first episode, and I'm like, oh, thank God. He got killed off. He got killed off. He got killed off, but I'm like, and I'm like, so then I looked, I looked her up and I'm like, oh, it's a fucking trans actor that they actually this was a trans man that they acted, they casted as a male actor, but he still looks like a woman.

I never watched a whole movie with one of those Marvel ones, and the girl, she's inside the house with some. They look, there's a photo, she has, oh yes, that's my two mothers and stuff like this. I'm like, okay, fair enough. I think you don't need to put it in movies, it's like just make a movie be a movie. We're not here for a sex education lesson or anything. I want to watch a movie and turn this off. I want to be entertaining.
