Unknown:

Making my way through the cell is walking doo doo doo doo doo doo cricket painted

SotF - Christian:

Hello friends I'm Christian razor and you are listening to Sins of the Father so we're in the sewers and the sewers above the lower district by the way

Unknown:

shit rolls downhill man it always does the sort of

SotF - Christian:

it explains why they're so poor though they're literally under the sewers

Unknown:

they live in the refuse of the upper district

SotF - Christian:

that probably wasn't mud on the ground.

Unknown:

Okay, so in the sewers in the sewers in the service, assaulted from every angle by a smelly smell. That smells smells let's start walking.

David White:

I am unconscious.

SotF - Christian:

I'll lead the way because I've got my LANTERNA and I really want out of here.

David White:

I am unconscious on the ground. All right,

Unknown:

Rick. Rick, it has fainted.

SotF - Christian:

Wait, did he fall on the side? Or did he fall into the water? Is he in grey water right now?

David White:

He's gonna roll for it.

Unknown:

Otter even Odd. Odd as good or as bad.

David White:

Odd is good.

Unknown:

He's the great. I rolled an eight. All right, I just fish them out of there and throw them over my shoulder. You guys begin trekking your way through these long winding stone tunnels.

SotF - Christian:

The whole time Bartok just muttering under his breath. He hates this he wants out he's disgusted it's awful. He's too rich for this.

Unknown:

You're in the you're in the front of the group Bartosh onto a roll of survival check

SotF - Christian:

out survival check

Unknown:

to see if you don't wander in circles.

SotF - Christian:

Do I have anything? He says revival? Probably not. I have a minus one. Go Mi s 16 That's not bad.

Unknown:

Hey, that's not bad. You manage to not walk in circles. Awesome. You have been walking for about 10 minutes when Rick it wakes up the little one where are we smacking back down on his feet. Where are we go? You will be doing the walking now. You kill the man. Well, sometimes a man needs to die.

SotF - Christian:

You're a murderer.

Unknown:

And sometimes demons need to die.

SotF - Christian:

He wasn't a demon. He was a hard working man he was just doing his job he wouldn't have hurt us

David White:

I don't know he can look very scared it's scary.

Unknown:

Look I'm just backing up the singing one. So the blood pouring from his ears I assumed we are going for the kill. Well, you know she's just kind of at a loss is with to say you humans are monsters. I have no reason to come back to this district. Once I find my father will go back to my village.

SotF - Christian:

So it doesn't matter what kind of Wrath of destruction you leave behind.

Unknown:

Will all obviously I would rather have not killed that man. Then why did you circumstances as they were needed to trust this fear. Sometimes complicated questions in life can be answered with simple answers. So just tossing us beer

David White:

may feel dirty.

SotF - Christian:

You truly are an imbecile. So

Unknown:

Ah, just real quick, Mr. Tosh since you are familiar and live in this city Yes, Rolla rule history check for me real quick

SotF - Christian:

Oh, that is a dirty 20

Unknown:

You know that there are for years now have been very unsettling rumours and stories told about the sewers and how people tend to go missing.

SotF - Christian:

So I'm not telling them anything, but I am very frantically looking for a way out of here.

Unknown:

Okay, so you're, you are like active, looking around.

SotF - Christian:

I am walking very fast. I am just looking every direction trying to find a ladder.

Unknown:

The rest of you see a very skittish var Tosh, slightly picking up the pace, as you're all trying to follow along behind him.

David White:

Yeah, I guess I should do my part. I take out a wand from my belt. And I flick it a few times and say let Nate and then I a little ball of light appears on the end of my one and I I cast light the cantrip. Nice.

Unknown:

I see. So the lanterns not needed anymore.

SotF - Christian:

Okay, I'll stash my lantern. Save my oil.

Unknown:

Save your oil. Yes, yes. Oh, yes. And you continue down, maintaining a proper course not getting turned around at any point. When you come to a large fork in the tunnel. There are two paths you can go down, left or right. Which Which way do we go?

SotF - Christian:

Could I maybe discern which direction heads towards my estate?

Unknown:

It'd be kind of hard. Yes. But role of survival check. Nope, three. You have no idea where you're out. Yes,

SotF - Christian:

I'm very lost.

Unknown:

But you are not getting turned around while you're walking. So I know which way we came from. Yes. I don't know which way to go. Perhaps we should be going downhill.

SotF - Christian:

Now we need to go up. Do a little alone. Which one goes up? Do they go in the same direction? Like what's

Unknown:

your take a second and look. One of them seems to continue straight. In one of them. The one on the right is just ever so slightly. an incline. Well, this one goes up.

SotF - Christian:

I don't like the path of least resistance. It's usually the path of danger. But I don't know that we need to get out of here. We need to go up.

Unknown:

Then Up we go. Do you all continue along the right paths? Maybe not the correct path? Correct. All right. And you keep walking for about 20 or so minutes. You have an odd concept of the passing of time while down here. But it feels like it's been around 20 minutes

SotF - Christian:

to var Shosh it feels like they've been down here for hours. He is terrified. He's disgusted he wants out. He's freaking out a little bit.

Unknown:

When it seems the incline stops as you come to a large open room very tall ceiling and then you see that the tunnel has branches off in multiple directions. As you walk into this room

David White:

keep going up. Up it's gotta be out. Then Up we go.

Unknown:

As you look around role Perception check everyone, all of us whoever wants to Yes, I do. Not fam I don't want to that AMI noggin. Five.

SotF - Christian:

I got double proficiency. perception 17.

David White:

Yes. Noise

Unknown:

70 You're looking around Bartosh and you don't seem to see any of the tunnels going in another upward incline,

SotF - Christian:

you're going in a downward incline.

Unknown:

Yes, there are two different ones going on a downward incline. And you see, it's been mostly still since you've been down here. But in this room, you seem to see little congregations of like rodents and vermin kind of scurrying around the room.

SotF - Christian:

Are they going down any tunnels?

Unknown:

As you focus on it? All of them seem to be congregating towards one side of the room away from one of the downward tunnels. And you hear the soft splashing of footsteps in water echoing from one of the tunnels. Just reverberating into this room for our talk. She's

SotF - Christian:

full on freakout mode now. We have to go we have to get out of here. We cannot stay down here. Okay, let's go. We can't go up we just go straight. He just starts down a random path. It's not an upward path. He has no idea where he's going.

Unknown:

First path you'll start running down it is everyone following him? Not running but a quick pace. Yeah, yeah, you've always gonna follow on?

David White:

Yeah, Ricky does follow.

Unknown:

As you're running down this path, you've noticed that there started to be like clutters of things like, you know, random crepes or half open barrels, like just all over this tunnel. And you hear this echoing voice bouncing off of the cavern walls. Children.

David White:

No, I don't like it.

Unknown:

And you hear the splish splash of footsteps.

SotF - Christian:

I don't want to fight No, Pennywise Jackson.

Unknown:

It's not it's not a clown. Good. That's not ominous at all. I can exactly. Just pull out a copyrighted character.

SotF - Christian:

It's Bozo. It's fine.

Unknown:

His name is quarter DOM. Boy Yeah, I was about to say.

David White:

So where's that voice coming from?

Unknown:

Behind you.

SotF - Christian:

We gotta keep going. Pick up the loose. I VITAS takes off a dead sprint.

David White:

The Vallejo follows them recut his following with him. He scares

Unknown:

everyone is running very fast. And you come to a room very similar to the one you just ran out of.

SotF - Christian:

Same room, isn't it?

Unknown:

You see small congregations of rats slowly coming together on one side of the room and a splish splashing of what sounds like footsteps echoing

David White:

so where did these rats congregate

Unknown:

away from one of the two tunnels that go down maybe the rats are pointing the way out should we trust rats? No, I don't know It's spooky Never trust a read it's all we got just get us out of here. So you're going to the one near the rats or the one they're going away from

David White:

going to the one near the reds.

Unknown:

Okay. As you move towards it. Roll a perception check 1815 820 20 A dirty so everyone but Rick good. Yeah. He's distracted with the rats.

David White:

He's distracted by fear and fear

Unknown:

as you move towards that tunnel where the rats are, you see faintly in that tunnel this very just ever so slowly, long porcelain white, hooked hands ie slowly pat on one side of the tunnel and then hat on the other side of it. As you see coming into your light, this large, elongated face with no eyes and just its head just seems to almost split open with just a TT mark as it slowly one hand and then the other eye as it seems to almost be crawling on the side of the wall. And then it's just around the tunnel coming slowly towards you. And you hear not from the creature but in your head. That same echoing children he said it doesn't have any eyes, right? No, it does not. It's getting closer device running everyone puts their finger over her lips and then points to the the other one that the rats are away from.

SotF - Christian:

Is that where the good thing just came out

Unknown:

of? No It came from the one you went towards okay. Oh where the rats are? Yeah, yeah. Okay. And then she's going to head that direction walking like quickly but trying to make as little sound as possible. Yeah,

David White:

Rick it will do the same water

SotF - Christian:

that's gonna be real hard.

Unknown:

So the thing doesn't look like it's seen as yet not that you know of or I can't see it detect us but you know telekinetically

SotF - Christian:

into our heads. So Okay, roll.

Unknown:

Everyone roll a stealth check.

SotF - Christian:

At least do this right

David White:

16 1711 Ricketts He's He's shivering and shaking as he tries to be stealthy.

Unknown:

You're all moving very slowly, cautiously, making sure not to splash the water and make any noise. recut, you feel yourself lose balance for a second. And right before you trip. You hear like something dropped behind you. And as you slowly look, you see that creature emerge out of the tunnel and standing straight up. As that sound hits, another rock drops. That crate sitting next to that tunnel in just a blur of movement is just scattered wood flying across. Ye it's fast but it doesn't seem to notice you.

David White:

tears well up at the corners of Ricketts eyes and he slowly starts to follow after everybody Yeah, he's just little like little teardrops coming down his side of his eyes. He's just holding on to his wand and spellbook just

SotF - Christian:

Vertov reaches into his bag and pulls out a small bag of ball bearings and tosses a handful backwards down another tunnel.

Unknown:

You take just this fistful of it trying not to make any noise and then you throw them full force right is this creature seem to be turning towards the your group and these ball bearings just slam into the wall we really scattering and echoing down the tunnel this just on earthly school bellows. As you see the creature bends down, not moving and then pounces down that tunnel and you hear it slam into and that will be move. I don't think he is very happy

SotF - Christian:

down the tunnel.

David White:

Rolling other stuff that's not as good as say 1379 One to two, or one to three and I have a minus one for next year and a

Unknown:

better size to begin going down the decline into that dark abyss below you barely able to see thanks to Rick it's light and you misplace your foot on a rock recut and it slips but you catch yourself so you don't fall as the rock just very softly clatters against the wall and you can just feel something is watching you. Oh. As you realise with your lights fell there's just a large shadow right behind you sitting still.

David White:

Rick, it doesn't move. He's very scared.

Unknown:

Foreign CEO Tasha is also paralysed with a beer. You see just kind of glancing it's this creature within inches of its head just slowly turning and twisting. Just sitting there not moving any other part of its body.

David White:

Ricky Ricky is sobbing silently, like just tears down his face not coming out of his nose. He is balling as quietly as he can muster

Unknown:

what does the party do? So looking back at recut Yabo just pulls out his axe and leaps into the fray interposes themselves but in between rugged and the beasts night hero you've always frozen just watching the wait to see what this thing is going to do. So when you say jump Yabo Yeah, do you mean jump or silently move? Is that thing alert? Is the thing alerted like is it like looking at what

SotF - Christian:

and it's right here

Unknown:

yeah, it's right next to you it heard the club it's not attacking. Okay, because everyone froze Gotcha. Okay, so not doing I thought it was like about to unation Are you sure y'all know that you're just going to jump at this thing again? Yeah, I'm not moving I'm not moving

SotF - Christian:

stealth game.

Unknown:

And just as you think its face getting closer and closer is about to touch your racket. Right there you hear something often the distance just a little and it's gone it's not there anymore. Almost as if you blinked and it disappeared

David White:

Rick it picks himself up. Start slowly trying to keep walking.

Unknown:

You can just ever echoing here, just those soft splashes of water as it's moving around in its territory every one roll another stealth tech as you continue to make your way down.

David White:

A natural 20

Unknown:

It's about time okay. I got a 17 a 16 I wrote a seven to get away for one but did you get Yaba? 16 I see. So as you continue this process of slowly making your way and freezing anytime there's movement or sound for what feels like hours down this tunnel You all are composed enough to keep going and then you begin to hear rushing or falling water and you see the hint of sunlight in a band coming up in front of you in your volume you gasp seeing it and then right in front of all of you in between you in the light you see it on the ceiling hands just unnaturally just clamped down not moving you can do it I believe she's the only one that sees it yet. No, you all see it? It was just that's like gas.

SotF - Christian:

Okay, Bartok panics and Chuck's a dagger at it

Unknown:

rollin attack harder the cards are the cards the cards harder the cards more beneficial if you miss it

SotF - Christian:

well, I rolled points here

Unknown:

so you hit how much damage or you did a sneak attack? This will definitely be a sneak attack. Yes, it is not aware of you. Yet haha, as bad be actually they won't know where the tire came from. It'll just know that it's in. Yeah, it'll know roughly what direction it came from, but not where it came from as it just gets hit in the face with a dagger six Damn. Total. As you to calm yourself a little bit you were holding this dagger, like, yeah, if anything gets in my way. Uh huh. This false sense of hope. In then you just see this thing and instinctually react. You throw the dagger and it sticks into the creatures face where if it had eyeballs there would be one and it lets out this once again on earthly screeching roar and as it begins swinging its full claws which encompass the entire tunnel just wildly swinging. Around initiated yet it is not aware of your presence. Outside of your nearby

David White:

recut presses himself up against the wall of the sewer. Holding his spellbook in between the claws and him

SotF - Christian:

do its claws reach the glore

Unknown:

role of Perception check you point one at first you see no way out of this as its claws are just lightning fast swinging and you see sparks as it hits the walls and find stone and stuff. You can see there is a gap at the floor that it isn't reaching when it swings

SotF - Christian:

far tops lowers himself down into the grey water and started crawling toward it.

Unknown:

Dave all is going to take a cue from him oh I see spell cards being looked at.

David White:

recut seeing them try to crawl underneath it takes out his wand and taps his belt buckle and whispers in a in a quiet sobbing voice may mix in these like ribbons of gossamer blue like wrap around or come out of his belt buckle wrapped around his back and make like this spectral breastplate. I cast a mage armour on myself. And then Rick it will very slowly get on to his belly and start to crawl forward.

Unknown:

For Tasha here in the front row the perception chapter. Yep. As recut as quietly as as he can. whispers the smell Oh 17 You can see the space has gotten smaller

SotF - Christian:

how much smaller

Unknown:

as it's swinging quicker and more rampant you might be able to fit through still.

SotF - Christian:

Crawling Regus, love

Unknown:

you all crawl so deathly slow that just that couple feet that small space you have to get by to get out. This seems like forever as you're crawling under it Bartosz Rolodex 30 Chapter 1770 You move your head just slightly enough to avoid one of the clauses it swings wildly and almost hits you. And you slowly inch your way through. Who's next? followed suit, right? Yep. I mean 16 Same thing. You're calling low as you can and then you have to slightly shift your course more to the left as it breaks the ground right next to you. And you slowly worm your way forward. Whoever would like to pull next? I'll go what what? What kind of role is a dexterity check?

SotF - Christian:

For racket? I will add nothing to it. 12

Unknown:

you said 12. Yeah. You managed to lumber your way under it swings. Just barely

SotF - Christian:

beat it. 12

Unknown:

careful. You feel a slight bit of your fur. get taken off as you crawl under it.

David White:

Reckon here it goes.

Unknown:

completely silent, just sobbing. Oh seven.

David White:

Now running out of D 20s.

Unknown:

You have the luck of the gods on your side. As you're crawling. You start to panic. You're getting closer and closer to it. Then you start to try and just hurry your way through and just get out of this as you feel a piece of your hat. gone right at the top. Oh no, no. You just keep crawling. You're on the other side of it.

David White:

I just keep crawling out there stand up to almost keep pushing myself Wait through the grey water.

Unknown:

slowly crawl your way to the edge. As you see. You see the runoff drop into the ocean side. Off the coast. No chains no footholds or anything is everyone on board with that? Let's do it. You all stand up right at the edge and you all together, jump at the same time. And you feel a swipe right over the top of your heads. Right where your heads were a second ago. As you all plummet into the water completely submerged. You'll swim to the surface. One by one. Each of your heads pops up in the water this is not what I was expecting.

SotF - Christian:

That was terrifying.

Unknown:

As you see that you all kind of just like glance up and you see it's just long hands wrapped around the sides of the tunnel. And you see slike smoke coming off of it as it slowly just recedes back in Hello friends, and welcome to episode three of Sins of the Father. I'm your dungeon master Jackson Chandler. Let's get back to the episode

SotF - Christian:

I had heard tales something people going missing in the service. I don't know what that was but can we not go back there? Yeah,

David White:

we're not going back there. Rick Ricky doggy paddles for the short

Unknown:

it's a very awkward doggy paddle as in one hand is holding a giant book. Yes. barely keeping his head above the water to

David White:

negative one athletics.

Unknown:

He might not make you think for a second how far are we from Sure. It is a very tiring distance. After your close encounter, it takes the more athletic ones about 10 minutes to get there.

David White:

Oh my gosh. Ricky cannot do it. Rick, it

Unknown:

is a lot of swim and that's a lot of swimming. Rick is he's out there. He's trying his hardest soil is

David White:

crying. He is tired. He is scared of dying and he is drowning

Unknown:

is horrible. The party kind of you know, notices this as he slowly is getting further and further behind them. Ease up the pace and kind of help semi support him. As you all slowly move forward and make it to shore safely.

David White:

Ricky just collapses in it. He just went in sobbing.

Unknown:

I was gonna flop over on his bad chest heaving. Oh, well, it did de

SotF - Christian:

var Tosh is in the foetal position clutching his other dagger.

Unknown:

Yeah, you've all had just like belly flops onto the sand and just like rakes her way out in the water as best she can. You have just this moment of rest. Where you finally feel safe. Question enough. I did but compared to the past. You're not even sure how long you were down there. This long stretch of time from when you went into the sewers. Till now, you finally feel a sense of safety. As if something isn't watching you at all times.

David White:

I don't like the way you said that. You Like any sorry

Unknown:

of what just happened you guys are safe now. There is no danger is that better? I

SotF - Christian:

feel better resting

David White:

Yeah Can we take a short rest to recover from our mental damage that was hard

Unknown:

I would say you are allowed to recover from your mental damage

SotF - Christian:

yeah that was that was

Unknown:

you see you know as you guys are resting just trying to regain composure and whatnot a number of different colourful characters have passed through the beach small little about two foot tall fish people the cool Atolla nice I love wandered down the coast was picking through the shells and whatnot. Putting them in these large wooden baskets behind them. clams, oysters, anything they'd found is just stacked up in them a couple of just different random passer buys who seem to give you a wide berth as they're just walking around minding their own business

David White:

where do we go just to get it shipped again

SotF - Christian:

we should go to my we should go to my family's steak. Okay we can compose ourselves get some food and then get enough money to charter ship

Unknown:

you are the local take us where we need to go

SotF - Christian:

can I easily find my way to the nearest to the elevator that takes us nearest my home

Unknown:

it'd be a little bit of a walk but you could get there before sundown yes as you guys are walking along the beach because it's right here it's easy access you can just keep walking up to where you need to to go straight down to one of the gates you see some guardsmen scattered here and there and then you see a couple of them congregating at an area everyone rolled Perception check

SotF - Christian:

well I see nothing six

Unknown:

you're still it's real but crocodile in the sewers is

David White:

1517

SotF - Christian:

to be pretty freaked out

Unknown:

it's worth getting the Volvo you easily see it you see them back to you as they all are talking and then you see them start to separate and you see these four parchments on the side of the building boy with a large hat dragon modern a man with an equal tattoo on his chest at a young springy girl

SotF - Christian:

can the images be horribly bad way out of character way that you

Unknown:

use you can tell they're of you right but can the features just be just when you're like that's not my face. The structure is all wrong. My nose doesn't look like that nice tangled reference the the hat is a complete Pat one major difference it's also a red colour. Not blue.

David White:

No never find me.

Unknown:

Come on guys. What do we do now? They're looking for they know who we are the hammer pictures I guess we have to lie low we could switch it up. He still has a cloak on that she was wearing to hide the shoes. There's no green on her face anymore. But is there green on the picture? But when they got there is you see a mostly green face and then there's just like this one street where you have all had taken his finger and wiped off some of the paint most of the paints probably

SotF - Christian:

gone now that we've taken a dip in the ocean. Most of

Unknown:

the paint was gone from the crying Oh, that's true. The rest of it is gone from the ocean and the grey water and the grey water that you crawled through so you've always got to kind of like back in the mouldy light come into a side like alleyway or something if there's something like that available near them. Yeah, yes to like switch major, like defining pieces of clothing. So that at least like you know, Rick, it's not wearing a big hat you know?

SotF - Christian:

It's damaged anyways. Just throw it away.

David White:

Yeah. He He takes off his damage hat and looks at it. For Lauren Lee and it just as as respectfully as he can just stuffs it into his back his backpack

Unknown:

telling me Rick it doesn't have mindig

David White:

i He doesn't. Bartok, she has alarm to take the magic and identify.

SotF - Christian:

Portage reaches into his back and pulls out a clean dry super nice set of clothing and immediately stripped down. I got it smells so bad. I could never these clothes cannot be worn ever again. They're

Unknown:

horrible. Right in front of everyone. ivali shields Ricketts eyes. There's no There's no need for you to see just dragon giblets today. Yeah, thank you. God for once I agree with you. Stitches most foul yeah was ringing out his leathers of grey one

SotF - Christian:

far toss tosses his old clothes on the ground and spits acid on them and they melt

Unknown:

he wants to say just fizzle away into just on identifiable goop.

SotF - Christian:

Yes, I just wasted a once per short rest ability on burning clothes.

Unknown:

You gotta mean sometimes you got to do what you got to do.

David White:

That's right. Sometimes you just gotta roleplay

Unknown:

and you'll notice as Yabo brings out his leathers and then puts them back on. There's a large like gash missing from the leathers he wears on his chest where his Batman is very close cold air I would say.

David White:

Larry's your family's estate then.

SotF - Christian:

There were guards like blocking that elevator right

Unknown:

there weren't guards blocking the elevator these guys we're just on this corner where they put up the Post The Wanted posters. But you do know that 24/7 The Iron Army right protects the elevators the lifeless never needing to sleep goes along but stay and watch at all times if

SotF - Christian:

they have our faces we can't take the elevators the Golems kill us how did you get into the city?

Unknown:

I just walked in Oh you mean the big the demon city the demon city I wrote the chain

SotF - Christian:

you wrote up the chain Okay,

Unknown:

that's it. That's why I thought we could write it down. But it did not quite work out that way.

SotF - Christian:

Are there chains going up in the year

Unknown:

roll a perception check 17 They there are but they're not to near you. And from what little you do know about the lower district from your walks through here to the docks that most of them are much like the one that was above you guys that took you into the sewer. There enlarge open areas so nothing obstructs the obstructs them well, but you do see some that are moving up

SotF - Christian:

we need to get up into the city again. I will never charge our ship the way we are now. Wait I opened my pack and I pull out the rolled up painting wait I know it's

Unknown:

slightly wet but not so horribly water damaged that it's unrecognisable cool. You do see that one little jagged missing piece from where you messed up?

David White:

Is this a systems is this a magic painting? transported somewhere

SotF - Christian:

No, just Just follow me. I stick it back in my pack and I start running towards the docks

Unknown:

so far Tosh just looks at this painting rolls it back up sticks it in his pack and just takes off running in a completely different directions than where you guys were heading before. Are we going to follow him? We're going to follow the lizard.

SotF - Christian:

Okay. I heard that.

Unknown:

So you run from one side of the city to the opposite side. Nice where the docks are. And you guys finally catch up to var Tosh as he's looking around. mumbling to himself about a ship

SotF - Christian:

nine hot wet. Where the Gorgon

Unknown:

wear is quite it's quite dark at this time. The sun has set but it's still visible enough. You can see where you're going and lighting on the docks. Yeah. You see scattered braziers and torch light and then you keep looking Bartosh and you're like Wait no turn and look at that far last dock there is a ship still sitting there. Yes, it's not quite illuminated. But you see a ship you see the same ship you saw earlier

SotF - Christian:

Yeah, sprinting second wind I'm sprinting towards that ship

Unknown:

Protoss just takes off sprinting all ins Yabo is hauling ass brigade

David White:

is bringing up the rear huffing and puffing

Unknown:

when we get close, I'm yelling Captain Tyndall. Captain Tyndall. You don't see that same like busy movement back and forth along the ship as you did before. Until you hear just the voice calling out who goes there? And it sounds like it's coming from above you.

SotF - Christian:

My name is var Tosh.

Unknown:

And then it just repeats who goes there? And you look and you follow it and you see because var Tosh is familiar with boats in the crow's nest There's a small little bird like individual glaring down at you with a fully outstretched Spyglass

David White:

who goes there

Unknown:

and then it just repeats I am var i am like a hawk starts making its way down. Where's your captain very delicately down the ladder man and kind of wanders off into the captain's quarters he has he has the same name as you and you just hear the same. I am var Tosh And then the bird kind of walks back out. And then behind him you see a familiar face. The other three of you have never seen this man before in your life if man is even the right word is at first glance looks just like a lion walking on two legs walks out in a very regal red and gold coat snapped over his chest and pants he has pants and he looks thank God I didn't want to I didn't want to see any lion

SotF - Christian:

now the term for that just all in

Unknown:

all he kind of looks step into the light

SotF - Christian:

I walk forward and pull the painting out and like unfolded in front of me

Unknown:

Oh, I see birdie. Birdie the Kevin boys here. Kevin. Kevin boy as you see I am person's head to the side inquisitively and then just shrugs his shoulders and goes down under the deck of the ship. I see you brought some more crewmates yes these are my my he just kind of makes a face and then his face softens my my friends that's nice and all that um what can they offer us? What what skills can they bring to our crew?

SotF - Christian:

Well the dark one kill the guy and it can kill another girl can play music that makes people's ears bleed. You should hear birdie try and sing the little one. Well, he's useless but I can play music that doesn't make your ears bleed too. Oh yeah, there yeah And what about the little one? He's well he's useless. I see.

David White:

Rick. Rick is sag

SotF - Christian:

be perfect after one encounter

Unknown:

will make a right fine crew out of you lot. The one with nothing to lose. points at recut can learn anything he wants. Am I right?

David White:

I am a quick learner.

Unknown:

Now let me see that painting

SotF - Christian:

we were in a hurry. Oh, he got hunted in the sewers. By this eyeless monster.

David White:

Aha. Here it was very scary.

Unknown:

I didn't get a good look at the painting before because of the low torch light. And he opens it up in full torchlight. He's like I can't believe you actually did this. I thought you just come running back saying couldn't do it.

SotF - Christian:

What? No. You mean I didn't have to

Unknown:

welcome aboard. Let's allow me to repeat myself. Welcome aboard the crew of the gilded Gordon gore.

SotF - Christian:

The Gilded Gordon Ramsay

Unknown:

Welcome aboard. The Gilded Gorgon

SotF - Christian:

Bartosh kind of yips and jumps and like is super excited for a second.

Unknown:

This is very off putting to the rest of you. Because he's shown excitement for the first time glad to see your spirits have turned.

David White:

Captain is there somewhere on you? Is there a bed? I could sleep in very tired. And I would like to take a bath.

Unknown:

Bath might be a little hard. But we have a place for you to sleep. It's

SotF - Christian:

a pile of hay.

David White:

Thank God I'll take it

Unknown:

since you seem to be eager to please. My new crew my new cabin boy looks at bar Tosh. What does that mean? Like what what? What is that? Have you dredged up any rumours of treasure nearby on your journey here? Treasure The only thing you've heard about is the turn dynasty.

SotF - Christian:

All right. Yes, I hear that the Turin dynasty has a lot of treasure Rola deception trying to deceive a pirate This is not a good idea. I'm deceiving the deceiver.

Unknown:

But if he rolls like ass,

SotF - Christian:

I mean fair. Okay, I was at deception. I think I have nothing 90

Unknown:

He rolled a total of nine

SotF - Christian:

it's received the deceiver.

Unknown:

Very ambitious. He nods. You do know the dangers there.

SotF - Christian:

He has no idea. But oh, we can. Nothing we can handle that.

Unknown:

I see confidence and foolish bravery. You might make a fun pirate one day.

SotF - Christian:

She beams like his eyes just glow.

Unknown:

As he the camera zooms out and you see him. Just arms behind the four of you kind of like ushers you down into the crew quarters below the deck. And you just hear His voice, man. welcome the new crew members. And there's just a raucous cheer and roaring. End of Episode. Thanks for listening to this week's episode. David White:

that was really good? That was awesome. It was amazing. The sewer on that sewer scene was so terrifying that I can't remember anything good. That happened before it.

SotF - Christian:

I know. It was so good. The good that happened before it was murder. Jumped out a window. Go into the Senate. The only good thing that came out of this episode was us finding out where our parents

Unknown:

Oh, the far bog

David White:

Oh, yeah. The firm. Oh, yeah.

SotF - Christian:

Yeah, the furball was great.

David White:

The unnamed very helpful librarian.

SotF - Christian:

Yes. He was awesome.

David White:

I hope we meet him again.

SotF - Christian:

That's that so intense.

Unknown:

Go. You just end up on this tropical island at 1.0. Hey, I'm on vacation. hour all of you.

David White:

So I thought we were going to be in hair Ville for like, a lot longer. And now we're on a pirate ship.

Unknown:

Yeah, yeah. It just seemed that that's the way events unfolded. Yeah. Because I was not expecting to leave the city that fast. But you can always come back to the city. Yeah. Hopefully once the once we're not wanting Yeah. That's that's kind of why you guys kind of had to leave.

SotF - Christian:

Yeah, there was nothing we could do after he killed the guy.

Unknown:

Just straight up murdered a man. I didn't kill anybody. We would have been fine. I did not kill him. He ran into my spear. There was a difference. He

SotF - Christian:

walked slowly and with purpose into his

Unknown:

knee in my target practice range.

SotF - Christian:

Sure. That was cool enough. That's

David White:

good. So were we supposed to run into the thermometer tea room and out the window for That scene I

Unknown:

suppose still It's whatever you guys wanted to do, I guess a story around it into it. You could have run back into the record room

SotF - Christian:

Jackson is the king of improving DMing like seriously he usually does not prepare any my

Unknown:

my notes. Were I listened to everyone's intro audio and wrote down like a sentence about that character. I was like, very impressed. It was like their father's name. And something else about them. Okay. When then I was like, that's why I was like, What is your father's name? You've all because I have nothing for you as of right now outside of he's a bard.

SotF - Christian:

Yeah. What was that sewer thing? Like seriously? Yeah.

Unknown:

Yes. Okay, devil, cool. Nas work bone devil, bone devil. Semi just kinda made up a little bit. Homebrews that little homebrew was a little, a little bit of that homebrew stew.

SotF - Christian:

Hey, Bruce. Great. Yeah, awesome. Super cool.

David White:

That's good stuff.

Unknown:

I gotta say, like, I think we have really good energy. I know that, you know, I mean, this is obviously something that we're going to let listeners listen to. But you know, we had come so far and done so much with the previous campaign with our first DM that we got to become comfortable with each other because I know initially I was a little slow like, yeah, I feel like I was a little slow to kind of warm up and feel like I could kind of have some input. And so having that initial bit, I think it really helped us kind of seeming the interaction and getting to know each other. Yeah, because I didn't know any you guys kind of

SotF - Christian:

recording when a lot easier to like we were able to get through those episodes fairly quickly.

Unknown:

I'll be honest, Christian can definitely vouch for this David Cantu. I have horrible social anxiety. But it just turns off when I play d&d. Yeah, it's awesome. Somehow, I couldn't tell it all. Honestly, you did. Amazing. I'm like, I'm recut in public. If I had your way, I'm sorry. Move out of the aisle now. Okay, just please pass.

SotF - Christian:

When we first when he first started working for me. Oh, he's my employee, by the way, listeners. We first started working for me. He was super quiet. And we tried to get him out of his shell. And it took a while actually.

Unknown:

But yeah. And then someone said Dungeons and Dragons,

SotF - Christian:

racing Shange. And yeah.

Unknown:

I have no,

David White:

spare. No. That's true. How many? So how many games you DMing right now besides Sins of the Father,

Unknown:

besides Sins of the Father, I have two major ones going on, both of which have just recently started. Yeah. And it's groups of people from work that so many people wanted to play. I had to split it up into two different campaigns.

SotF - Christian:

We did one session with 12 people. And that was

Unknown:

a was a nightmare. Yeah.

SotF - Christian:

So now it's two groups. One's got five and one's got six, I think. Yeah,

Unknown:

it was it's not an even number in each group. Either way. But yeah, one group is playing the good guy hero characters. The other group, which is the group that has two new players that have never played before, is an evil campaign and they have embraced just murdering the first episode they burned a farmer alive and decapitated some guards. Oh my gosh. And are okay with human trafficking. I just murdered one little guard. I was gonna say it makes it it makes it makes me in yellow kind of look. Uh, yeah. Look like we did guys here.

David White:

It really puts it in perspective.

Unknown:

They both just stepped up immediately. Guess we gotta kill this garbage.

David White:

No way around it. Yeah, that was a good first session. I had lots of fun. Yeah, it really was. Like, even 30 minutes in. I was like, Yeah, this is gonna be good. This is a good thing.

Unknown:

Yeah, to incorporate after I was told of yobbos, spirit guide, new new. That's why I incorporated him and was like, hey, sitting in this window, and he's like, don't close that window. As it goes back into the hallway. Yeah,

SotF - Christian:

he was guiding him. It was great. Yeah, that's cool. That's

Unknown:

and yes, that was a room about teaching young students to cast the Cantra Thalmann JC I said it, I said it. And I don't know if I get caught on the recording. It might have been afterward, but My cheeks hurt. Like, I've been laughing and smiling so much. And so not so much in this episode. No. last episode.

SotF - Christian:

Yeah, this iteration is a lot more upbeat and lighthearted, I think. But it's, they were both good and in a different way. So Right. It's been this one is really cool, though.

Unknown:

Yeah, for sure.

David White:

Do we want to get out our envy are in VRP point are most valuable roleplayer point?

SotF - Christian:

I think so. Does everybody want to vote?

Unknown:

And I don't know what that means.

SotF - Christian:

It's whoever we feel roleplayed best.

Unknown:

Oh, yeah. So I can't do this. I guess everyone so much.

David White:

So in the old campaign, and if Jackson if you want to keep this going, we can if not, we can scrap it. But we would vote on like who was the most valuable roleplayer that session and they would get a an MBRP point which is basically a luck point. We took the we took the look feet or the lucky feet out and we gave him one luck point which lets them reroll their role reroll in enemies role or gain advantage, or I can't remember exactly what it was but it was basically just a luck point.

Unknown:

I don't think it's like the viewers have been told about how your customs stats and stuff are since they are playing not full fledged adult adventure. Yes, they're playing children are

David White:

statline young adult dogs. There's so

Unknown:

many. They're still rolling like fire though.

SotF - Christian:

Oh, yeah, our highest step though. Bass that is 12. And we have one of those. And we got to at 10. So with zero modifier, and then to eight, it was negative modifier. So we really are at a detrimental for a lot of things. Which makes sense because we're kids we're an experienced so it's it's actually fun to roleplay when we do bad roles. I've always had the philosophy with d&d that bad roles and low stats are the best thing you can have for role playing purposes. So

Unknown:

Serena vote or what? Oh, yeah. I'll vote for Rick at the Bigot

David White:

Yeah, well, I'm gonna vote for Varta ash I think he had a lot of good moments this session and his his story is kind of what we're pursuing right now. Because we're like on a pirate ship and everything we're like, he definitely led the lead the decisions in this session,

Unknown:

but he unknowingly knows that he led you on your destiny together through had to come to this vote eventually.

SotF - Christian:

That is true.

Unknown:

Yeah, I don't know. Everybody did so great. I feel like we really kind of hit a stride with all of this. I know it's really tough. I had to give it some more TASH this time around, for sure. I just think yeah, you lead the charge on a lot of stuff. going back and getting that painting Holy crap, like that was awesome. I thought I thought he was gonna forget it and just be like, we've got to leave. Yeah, he saved the day for sure. Booty pirate just hanging on the wall.

SotF - Christian:

I am gonna give it to ya. I always crack up the most that Yabo he's just got a hilarious character. So

David White:

yeah, but it was great.

SotF - Christian:

And he's dedicated to the character so it doesn't matter how terrible things might come out. He's gonna do what the character is gonna do so it's pretty Yeah. Whether it's murder or just asking dumb questions well the dumb questions are my favourite part. Oh, yeah, forgot about what doesn't matter.

Unknown:

Cool. Oh, no. He kinda go anyway.

David White:

Yeah, forgot about the whole thing with Yabba walking beside a ghost to try to get that was that was a good day

SotF - Christian:

was super fun. That was good. The session just had a lot of fun moments, everyone good way.

Unknown:

The way I was trying to describe them was not so much like actual humanoid ghosts, but more like spreads.

David White:

Yeah.

SotF - Christian:

Kind of thing. Will the

Unknown:

West yeah but it has legs and arms. Yeah, just the floating orbs

David White:

like from like the little things from Princess mountain okay. Yes, you will drink drinks. Yes. Yes enjoying I love their aesthetic aesthetic or they're super good so I guess then vortex guitar in VRP point is Jackson gonna throw out a point? Oh wait Jackson yeah do you want to do it? I don't want to vote

SotF - Christian:

throw up a tie right now I

Unknown:

wanted to you're all breathtaking alright yeah no I will for being dedicated to the bid the whole time. I have to give it to volume. The only reason she lost her goblin face paint is from the terrorising adventurer in the super involved lots of water in the face is jumping into the ocean. Because he's still even had the hood on and everything that was really funny. Or trying to play a goblin Thank you. I appreciate that. I was going for that like driving it. Yeah, agreed face. But then I lift up my hand that is a completely different just kind of tried to go with that. You know that the old the classic trope of like, I am obviously not what I'm pretending to be but I am buying it. I'm trying to buy it badly. The whole way through. I love it. Well, I'm really glad we decided to keep going with this. I think I think fans are going to love it. I think I know a tonne of people who are just going to love it. And I think we are doing great work. So yeah,

SotF - Christian:

I totally agree with four friends already that asked me all the time. When are we getting it when we're getting it? Like I don't know yet?

David White:

Well, now that we have it recorded. Yeah, finally start editing and getting it ready to release. Yeah, so maybe November release it.

Unknown:

But I wouldn't we already know how on a 10. Yeah, we're good.

David White:

Boom. Done. He's got it.

Unknown:

I know where a man goes.

SotF - Christian:

Alright, but where are the children go?

David White:

Do you want to stop recording? Or do we have any nice things we want to say to each other?

Unknown:

I would like to take a moment. Thank you, everyone, for this opportunity by asking me to do this. Yeah, it is very nice. Don't really know how to compliment more than that. So wonderful.

SotF - Christian:

I will say thanks for doing it. Because we weren't sure how we're going to continue it to be honest. Also, you're doing a phenomenal job. Yeah. These three episodes have been so much fun. Oh, yeah, you're great. So yeah,

David White:

you're already killing it.

Unknown:

Just for the viewers how it went was at work. Christian looks to me and he's like, I want to ask you this question. But I don't know if I should. Maybe I should text David first. And I'm like, Well, now I really want to know. And then he breaks it down for me Exactly. Like how everything happened and how this wasn't going to be a thing. Because I myself was waiting to tune into this ASCII podcast when it came out. I hounded him at work about it like Oh, when's this happening? So who's your character? Oh, well, what about this and this and this? Who's everyone else playing? And then he asks me, do you want to do it and extends that? And my reaction was, you know, I can't say no. I like it would kill me if I said no to this because it is such an amazing opportunity to be able to work with everyone and build something new.

David White:

We got it. We got a good group to build something with.

SotF - Christian:

We did this. You guys are great.

Unknown:

It's the beginning of a beautiful friendship, you guys. Yes, touching
