Snyders Return:

Hey everybody, Adam here, just let you know that Snyder's Return is taking a midwinter break. We are working on exciting interviews and projects however in the meantime, we are going to be showcasing some of the best podcasts from different game systems out there today, but we're also playing promos for exciting podcasts. So stick around to the very end to find out if there is not one, but two possible podcasts for your next listening pleasure.

Radar:

was in the fight in faster than light Welcome to Cosmo punk engines of hatred, a homebrew stuff find a story featuring the crew of the like a seven

Baphomet:

iron pan I buy from it kobold Android mystic Captain like a seven. If found please don't throw like a seven care of rider Maxim.

Veeocee:

I'm RJ I play v vest mechanic and fly guy that drone. V is the ship's original designer slash mechanic slash warranty slash best with duct tape.

Ryder:

I'm Cypher and I play rider. A stealthy opportunity a Saki otter. I'm also the pilot of the Leica seven.

Radar:

I'm Ty and I play radar, a cyborg mechanic coyote and a bundle of nervous energy, also the weapons officer of the lack of seven. But for this campaign, I'll be the GM. In the last episode, the crew were able to hitch an unsolicited ride on a commercial grain hauler, smuggling themselves on their ship into the outreachy system and Ryder took this opportunity to sneak around the freighter on foot gathering as much intelligence as possible about the dreaded Arkan beta and his planetary Empire. But the crews next challenge will prove far more deadly. part for like a stone. Right. I hope someone's written up notes and they're ready to do them in character.

Ryder:

I have indeed made it well. I did I read them in character last time.

Unknown:

That's fine. We'll do a refresher then. Okay,

Ryder:

so I was asked three questions. One, where are we to? Where is the warheads? And three? Where does our con vatan live? Where are we are in the L Richie system? Where is the warhead? Dunno, it's probably going to be on unison fumiya because they are high security systems and civilian ships have been told not to enter those two. And what is our conveys a live demo. On the data pad there is a load of recorded messages from the captain data logs, you might want to have a peruse through those might be some information in there that we blend. They are shipping green to somewhere in this system. And the transom has recently been repaired on silo number three.

Veeocee:

Yes, good.

Baphomet:

Well, that was my squat with a weakened voice you'll find that were there.

Veeocee:

Well, we've got a good lead in that might be the best place to start looking because they're the most heavily guarded like,

Ryder:

well, there's two systems Listen to me. We could probably have a look through some of this. These data logs of your boy,

Baphomet:

does he like hollow logs or folklore.

Radar:

It's audio logs

Unknown:

on your local local logs. Yes.

Veeocee:

Now local word. Spoken word logs.

Baphomet:

We listen to all of them. You have to read all of them out tie.

Unknown:

You're gonna have to give me about 10 minutes to write them up for boys. First of all, I hate you.

Radar:

You guys are going to gather around in the gallery. I'm guessing the likers like tend to give me a small asteroid right now. Yeah,

Ryder:

yeah, just floating. Somewhere in sort of hollow asteroid. If we want to

Radar:

go, it's fine. No one's coming around here. He says rolling percentile dice to see if that's true. It is random. So use all sit down and you start playing the logs. And this guy likes to make logs like fucking everything. And it takes several hours to sift through at all. A couple of things that catch your eye one, it appears that the Arkan Empire is very, very similar, almost modelled on the Inland Empire and its layout and sort of the semi religious zeal within but it's a lot more feudal than the azlanti Empire. There are literally peasants in this one. All the way up to star lords. They are And likes to fantasy himself as no one really has direct communication with the Arkham. Apart from a few is menials, from what this Captain knows. He said to harbour some incredibly powerful weaponry. But you know, who doesn't win the R star award? And that there are rumours that he could destroy planets with a thought. It's that kind of, you know, so we are air of mystery. You guys remember big time? Yeah. And you can see right through that. But it basically it looks like there's a man who set himself up as a religious figure, and has created a small empire of silence.

Unknown:

That's just space propaganda. Is that.

Radar:

So it's going to be more? Do you guys have any questions that you'd like to basically ask the data pad to see if we can find any, any search queries?

Ryder:

reference search or con beta? Yeah.

Radar:

Arkan beta is not a place It is his name. arcan is his title. Beta is his name is Nick beta. Yeah. Oh,

Veeocee:

wow. First Name is often

Radar:

know, somebody that bass make a culture roll. If you're sat there listening to and this name comes up a couple of times, as you're listening through the long trigger locks, you remember, up almost like a past life, it sort of hits you arcon is a title. And you've heard it before. And the naming style of alpha beta, you know, Seatown,

Veeocee:

delta, and all that. That's low beta.

Radar:

That's a surprisingly common naming convention for a small circle pilots where you did a tour or you think you did a tour in a previous life. sort of just to the south of the Diaspora where all those planets are. Oh, nice. Okay.

Baphomet:

Um, so yeah, that's related to the others. It says, um, I can't remember entirely as you know, things are still a little hazy. But this seems familiar.

Unknown:

He does

Baphomet:

this and she's confused about the naming convention of lava like the others. I'm not gonna verbatim

Radar:

lay out your position. It allows you to basically define populations by their naming conventions, like down to the planet, so you couldn't be like, yeah, we've got a name like that. That probably from around here.

Baphomet:

Yeah. She's She's very well, she was very much at the kind of everybody everybody's princess kind of character sheet and sheet. No, because you Oh, you're from so and so. I remember that cake. Delicious. So

Radar:

very Princess Diana. Yeah, exactly.

Baphomet:

I think it would be more like a title tie,

Radar:

aka as a title. Yes.

Baphomet:

an author's mark a title he would be?

Ryder:

Well, I see. Bloody humans. Give them an inch, they take a galaxy.

Veeocee:

At least that gives the sun to go, right? Yeah, well, we

Ryder:

have a name, now we have a title.

Baphomet:

The best part is, now we have a talk that we can easily find them, we can shop around them most. We just need to find someone that's populated enough and willing to talk a lot for money.

Ryder:

Also, we need a good cover story for being here. And getting into these high security systems. Bear in mind that civilian ship wasn't allowed in there and then supplying this entire region with green.

Veeocee:

They were a lot bigger than us though. And a lot worth of clothing.

Ryder:

I did check inside those silos By the way, they literally had bags of grain. I probably could have cut one open, but I didn't. Security that wasn't there.

Unknown:

at grade, each one

Ryder:

coming in nanites. We didn't want to risk setting an alarm off before we had any information

Radar:

just to assuage you, writer. If you had gone in there, it would have triggered a warning on the bridge. I know. Because people don't like having their grain stolen.

Baphomet:

I know green green warnings greener. Look,

Unknown:

I'm on to bullshit. So I knew.

Radar:

I'm just gonna put some dangling carrots out there if you go.

Baphomet:

But anyway, yeah, I think we should. We should, we should make our way down there and see what we can scope out.

Veeocee:

I mean, how close we get to orbit without any tech.

Baphomet:

I mean, we've got pretty got pretty like smart cookie shit going on. We

Ryder:

got pretty close. We can go and visit on radar. And unless somebody is looking out the window, they're not going to be seeing us. All right.

Radar:

Any other questions for the data? stuff?

Veeocee:

Is there anything on the planetary defences around the

Radar:

skipper mentions that he's sailed past systems once or twice? They they won't let you sort of hyperspace through them. They'll let you stop and you go around the edge and he says he's seen what just what he refers to as the barrier

Baphomet:

that he mentioned anyone like you've had as a cleaner?

Radar:

No, he says most of the brain is handled by a lower menial. He doesn't give a name. He just called me slightly inspirational, like fat guy, this guy sort of thing. Usually, there's, he mentions that there is a big cargo sort of hub. The Empire seems to feed off of and that's where the grain is going. So it could probably be distributed out to the planets that

Baphomet:

need it, which probably could hardback. And if nothing else, where's give meishan? on where on where we're likely to find beta.

Ryder:

Question for the the data bank data or any data on Uranus or thermea.

Radar:

There is data on thermea. There's the aforementioned barrier, which doesn't, like doesn't really get expanded on, right? That's right. Sumit, there's not really much on units.

Veeocee:

Oh, I guess that means maybe you might be a good place to start.

Radar:

He mentions that Soumya thinks it's sort of like a bit futile in there. But these going off based on what his best friend's ex wife's third cousins, roommate told him sort of thing.

Ryder:

A half read Facebook post,

Veeocee:

what if we can, yeah, at the edge of this clunky barrier, and just observe and so we see a ship fly into it. And Nope, learn as much as we can about how to get past it, and use that to order our own way.

Baphomet:

And know the thing if, if it doesn't work with fact,

Veeocee:

although we don't need to definitely pass through the barrier until we've seen another ship, do it, observe what they do? try and pick up any post or transmit any. Oh,

Baphomet:

okay. Yeah.

Ryder:

We can at least observe what happens when Noma ship goes through the barrier. Yeah,

Unknown:

hell,

Ryder:

if we can latch onto a ship trying to get through the barrier. Maybe let's

Baphomet:

let's watch a ship go through flushing cases and kind of scan or check with me there, huh? Yeah. Good plan.

Radar:

Oh, yeah. See? Oh, did you do have the nav coordinates for the through your system as well?

Unknown:

rhythm?

Ryder:

I think that's a good place to start. Okay, so yeah, right is going to set course for a barrier. It's orbiting through

Radar:

the barrier tribes, the theming system, the coordinates you have will put you inside the theming system, but you think if you change a few numbers, you could probably arrive outside of it rather than dying.

Ryder:

Yeah. Which would be preferable. So yeah, I'll do that. So of course, for the fumiya sector.

Radar:

theming system, right, pilot roll.

Unknown:

Okay. Don't roll the one. Okay, that

Ryder:

is a that is a nine plus 14. Yeah, we

Radar:

should probably roll the one you still get 15. So you get towards the Soumya system. You are in transit for about two minutes, and then we'll arrive at the coordinates. The Nebula here is a little brighter. We were outside on the last system. In some super operating basically the crap field. There's all sorts out here. There's rocks, there's bits of wreckage as an old shopping trolley, you know, that kind of stuff.

Ryder:

Okay, road is going to look for something that she can hide in the shadow of or sort of latch on to like an asteroid or something.

Radar:

Yeah, there's a piece of rock debris that you could move towards.

Ryder:

Okay, ladies, I'm putting this in behind this rock.

Radar:

Just to shore nuzzling in behind the wall. You get two pings. Huh? It's a it's a reverberation that literally runs through the whole lot of how they pay out in space.

Ryder:

I think we're being scammed by something better for you can you get on the zone station, see, see if we're being scanned,

Unknown:

got

Baphomet:

translation, whatever for that I

Unknown:

roll a D 20. Plus on computers, computers.

Baphomet:

That's, that's 13.

Radar:

That's enough. You You are being scanned. But the scans haven't picked up anything. But more importantly, the scans aren't entirely mechanical in nature, there appears to be some kind of Sonic machine or machines that are trying to detect you.

Baphomet:

In that case, I don't have any way to like do like any kind of psychic shield. But

Radar:

luckily the Leica is equipped for this kind of thing. You are still ship psyonix is not a new science. But like it has a very very good Sonic ability. If for example, if you try to look at the like a bath with your psychic abilities. While it was stealth, it would look like be looking at glass. Just if

Ryder:

you couldn't look at it see the back of your head.

Baphomet:

I feel like we spent a lot of money on this on this like psychic dampener for the shit that we tell them. That's where our money went. Yeah,

Radar:

but you know, you've only spent 32,000 credits from the last count that

Ryder:

we didn't drink all of it. On the ship.

Radar:

These are very, very drunk and in a fit of peak I can only describe as radar constructing like your ship now has psyonix stealth, but I would never be able to read Oh, that's

Baphomet:

that's fine. That's cool. I'm okay.

Radar:

I was under the impression that the ship had stealth in all realms of stealth ability.

Ryder:

So I probably would have insisted on that as just one thing. Yeah,

Baphomet:

type stuff like that where I guarantee if we're using the ability to do that as well. So yeah.

Radar:

So but you you get behind the ship or behind the debris. I'm guessing you power down. Yes. paradise and you drink the rock the rock is orbiting, and it slowly rolls you back into the starlight and you look up and you can see well it's mind boggling the array that is before you is a series of spheres that describe a giant sphere around a star system hmm there must be billions of these things and they stretch away to the left to the right up and down. Slowly arkin sort of away from you have a building a Dyson sphere, you've only got your visual scanning right now because you you know, power down the ship. But it looks like it's hundreds little white dots. And every so often there'll be a bigger dot and then more dots. Does not quite fit.

Ryder:

We can't use the the scanners. But does anyone have like a telescope or a Spyglass or something?

Radar:

Make a somebody make a memory roll so well.

Veeocee:

I feel like that would be I think that my hands around my eyes.

Ryder:

be just a point glossy.

Unknown:

Somebody make a wheel roll. Oh.

Veeocee:

Oh, some better makura

Baphomet:

did you make the world I could have done it but if you want me to roll

Veeocee:

a roll five total so

Unknown:

you will roll 2727

Radar:

radar has a set of binoculars in his room.

Ryder:

Okay, road is gonna scuttle off the ship is parks and go and get radars binoculars out from all of his junk food junk in his room in wire and

Radar:

you go in there and it is a it looks like an explosion in a metal factory.

Ryder:

complained about his room as much as he complains about mine.

Radar:

There's no gravel in it. So you know

Ryder:

what, the more that it's in the mashed potato.

Radar:

You find the binoculars they're hung up under red jacket.

Ryder:

Okay, she's gonna rub the coyote crud off the one under them.

Veeocee:

They're in good make. Still got coyote crawled on them

Ryder:

and bring them to the bridge.

Radar:

Dude, like you assassinating my character when you're here to defend. Oh,

Ryder:

you did the same to Russia. So? Yes, I think the word weed was used 10 times

Unknown:

is used to her face.

Ryder:

Okay, so it's okay to assassinate a character when they're standing there right in front of?

Unknown:

Yes. Yeah.

Baphomet:

She's never she disagreed, though. Yeah.

Ryder:

If you poke something with a stick, and it squeaks, you're gonna poke it again.

Baphomet:

I mean, we've all we've all seen the hot pillows

Unknown:

with Nora. Yeah,

Baphomet:

Who did that? Go with it with a bishi souci on them. We see them.

Ryder:

We don't see anything but you put them into stealth mode. So she's

Radar:

she's doing quite a die, whatever they are not.

Ryder:

She's good at hiding things, including herself. You get the binoculars. We can use these. Let's have a look at what those those white things are. She sort of holds them up. I mentioned they're more human side than off the sides. So baffi can share the other lens if she wants. A nice Yeah.

Radar:

Yep. So you you between you already? I'm sure you will have a share of the binoculars. I'm not going to make you roll perceptions. Yes, I am role perceptions.

Unknown:

For the last 533 pretty well on to the fun.

Baphomet:

Well, windblock 33. But back got 2133. Yeah.

Radar:

Okay, so I'm guessing you relate to everyone, right?

Unknown:

Oh, hold on. I

Veeocee:

think I might be in 3319? wasn't he? 25? Or 30?

Radar:

All right, so the creatures with the correct amount of eyes actually, Oh, God. Basically, you you spoke up and you start the nearest one, which is actually one of the smaller dots. And it looks like a pearlescent white sphere with a red light that flashes occasionally in the middle.

Ryder:

Okay, is that any other sort of detail on it?

Radar:

No, it is entirely white, flashes red, you look along and you go to the bigger ones. And the big ones are a little more interesting, because it looks like they're a bigger pearlescent sphere with a red flashlight in the middle with four of the little ones attached at a North South East West Point.

Veeocee:

How big is a structure where you have no frame of reference?

Radar:

For how big these things are? The bigger ones occasionally the spheres will rotate around the central one. But they don't rotate just like Left, left, left left or left forwards backwards. Yeah, and it it scans and yeah, have a plot point buff.

Baphomet:

Hey, nice. But we couldn't see anything goes. That's it?

Radar:

Yeah. See anything and then people are describing this to you like What's a sensor array?

Unknown:

Give yourself a plug for

Radar:

you start right off which caches as well.

Ryder:

Yeah. So that's the sensor, right? That thing's looking at us. I'm willing to bet that's what scammed us when we entered this, this part of space. Now we have two options, we can try and sneak through it as is. Or we wait for a ship, however long that may take and see what happens when it goes through. And then wait some more time and try and latch on to another ship and see what happens when it goes through.

Baphomet:

Oh, we could take that centre out

Veeocee:

all notice they'll probably notice the part of their sensor array suddenly stopped

Ryder:

doing Yeah, that's that's gonna that's gonna draw some attention. I think we should say the thermonuclear missiles for when the ship is

Veeocee:

less we can capture an asteroid slimly asteroids read pretend it was an accident.

Baphomet:

So when you said that there was there was no finger for beginners but like, it seems like bigger than say, a small moon are we dealing with here?

Radar:

Now? Like genuinely these things are suspended in space and you've got nothing to tell how big they are. Okay, like you look at the moon it's tiny and nothing's like a couple of 100 miles across. You know, I got

Ryder:

I quit like visa was out of character I quite like visa do on this one rider would hate it. But we find some way of flinging some bit of space debris, one of the sensor of rebels and see what happens.

Veeocee:

And if they found a Miskin is just to Strasbourg.

Baphomet:

For now we have the asteroid belt right through the shaker.

Ryder:

Yeah, but how do we propel it without giving us Oh by

Veeocee:

get behind it.

Unknown:

Push

Veeocee:

nine just latch onto it thrust it probably asymmetrically. But still that

Ryder:

I guess we could use one of the cargo cranes,

Veeocee:

boulders, the entire ships latch on to it, fire it until it's going to the right direction, detach that slam and we want to be

Baphomet:

moving too close to single. And also, engines. They're

Ryder:

gonna notice us,

Unknown:

huh?

Veeocee:

Oh, we stay shielded from the sensors behind the asteroid while we're firing the engines.

Baphomet:

We don't know that for sure. We could barely tell what it was.

Veeocee:

I'm just spitballing here.

Baphomet:

I think we could we could probably use the use of cargo, cranes. slingshot?

Ryder:

Yeah. Because that's inherently mechanical, that won't make an engine signature or anything.

Radar:

The other thing as well, and I'll give you this one for freebies, it might be mechanical, but you're still gonna need a source of power to power the motive components,

Ryder:

we're assuming is still electricity running through the ship. Otherwise there'd be no oxygen.

Unknown:

Yeah, correct.

Baphomet:

But we haven't been we haven't been spotted yet. So if we stay on this low power setting, well, now we should be with Ukraine.

Radar:

We're not one of one of the payoffs for the like, is that yes, you could go completely stealth, completely dead, invisible as far as centres are concerned, but you can stay like it indefinitely. Because you start running out of oxygen, you've got scrubbers and you've got unsanitary flow of the air that moves through them, but that will eventually die out. It gives you a couple of hours of complete stealth. Also, it doesn't matter for bath because you don't breathe oxygen

Baphomet:

on the way she's actually over the others.

Ryder:

But also radar isn't here so he's not using a Botox

Radar:

in Yeah, there's only two of you.

Baphomet:

If I don't need to freeze How do I cough all the time?

Ryder:

I think it's just a reflex. It's just

Baphomet:

it's the same sound as well. If you just like babies God, God

Ryder:

was the exact same exact thing golf every time. Weird. Anyway, back on on target. What's, what's the plan for this?

Veeocee:

I mean, estimate the range on that sensor, right? Maybe we don't need to be in stealth or we're a good distance away.

Baphomet:

If we throw something towards it and see what happens we get shot out of the sky or just hit or whatever, then we know that the better way.

Veeocee:

Yeah, it's just a question of how we're going to propel them towards or we're gonna come out of stealth for a brief amount of time and then go back on the I think enabler as stealth while shielded behind rock who probably got the best chance possible avoiding being detected?

Baphomet:

If we did go could we scan this thing? Ty

Radar:

you could try and scan it Yes.

Baphomet:

Because it's doing okay.

Radar:

Here's an idea. Everybody Everybody make a culture rolls. A bath This is like far out of your sphere so I'm gonna say half your role.

Baphomet:

Okay, so I got so I got a 14 oh if I have is 15

Veeocee:

we still be both of those

Radar:

right well, you're sat there you're looking at this again. That's really fucking weird. Also the logistics of keeping like something this large going What about the maintenance and like is this many of the one ridiculous things about This just don't make sense. You've been too heavily defended systems before, in the like, in other vessels. you've all had careers that have taken you far and wide across the galaxy. You've never seen anything like this.

Baphomet:

Can I used to think magic? Oh, it's too far away.

Radar:

I'll tell you what, let's, let's concept let's conceptualise the spec. Some conceptual ideas at me, like how and what you're gonna do.

Veeocee:

I'm still in favour of latching onto the back of an asteroid, just like burning engines for a bit while behind the asteroid, releasing it when we're quite far away, letting it drift into one of the senses.

Ryder:

There might as well we'd have to spend some energy to stop because we'd be travelling at the same speed when we let go asteroid

Veeocee:

there's not as long as we stopped all of a sudden the blind spot created by the asteroid we've been shunting. That's fine. I'm down with

Baphomet:

V's idea. I think we taught something actually will happen naturally by

Veeocee:

that lob rocks at it.

Unknown:

I mean, not quite so

Veeocee:

in delicately but yes, I want to do it exactly that delicately. I want to fuck up that sensor. Why? You don't want it is. That's how you find out. You should approximate this constructive disassembly.

Ryder:

The Have you ever asked yourself why you don't have many friends? So we're chucking rocks, somewhere

Radar:

on a planet stood over a bunch of dead azlanti radars going? My heart hurts.

Ryder:

If you keep chucking rocks at all of your problems, people are going to walk away every time. Wait, what are we

Baphomet:

when we go with this guy? I'm sensing some real issues here, guys.

Radar:

I think right, he's using this opportunity to sort of lay down some some deep seated concerns that

Ryder:

she's, she's holding on to things wrong.

Veeocee:

never throw in a rock or anything.

Ryder:

This is the problem I have with you. Sometimes v you see a problem, you throw a rock at it.

Veeocee:

So this is definitely a case where this thing is rock stone. I would

Ryder:

disagree. We don't completely understand what this thing is. You want to throw rocks at it?

Baphomet:

Okay, so real quick,

Unknown:

I visited

Baphomet:

this this guy, this centre, right? It's between us and the planet, right?

Ryder:

It's a system, no gaps,

Radar:

there are gaps between it you could certainly think you can throw the ship through.

Baphomet:

Yeah, so let's try because we've got enough piloting and if anything happens, enough engineering flex to get through i think i think we could probably just like sneak what they call it thread the needle, I think, actually, that's a bad thing.

Veeocee:

I doubt sounds gonna build a sensory system and leave gaps in it. But things can get very nebulous building a wall, but leaving holes in it that people could walk through saying that you've built a wall

Ryder:

is an idea. Why don't we Chuck a rock through it instead of at it, see if that gets destroyed

Veeocee:

for the rocks? Yeah, if nothing happens, we don't really learn anything. Whereas if we hit one of the sensor arrays, we find out how much we're paying attention to them and how delicate they are and how big they are. If we hit something

Ryder:

and they all start shooting lasers at or some blows up, and yes, we do know that something happens but we

Veeocee:

don't shoot at the rock.

Unknown:

Okay, how about how about

Baphomet:

we scan How about we scan the array and see what we can find because you actually don't

Veeocee:

want to look at the window that that gives away that we're there.

Baphomet:

Either way we'd have to move at some point. So we are the figure we deal with or we sit here and wait for something to happen. We're gonna

Unknown:

have to do something

Baphomet:

we need to figure out where he got it from. I think that even the organisation no shortage just turning up on the planet say hey, show us this warhead. We don't have a whole lot of leeway way we might

Veeocee:

approach this planet.

Baphomet:

It might be it might be worth just going in hot because we don't have any. We have a sneaky way to do this anyway.

Ryder:

Doesn't look like it. I think we abandon stealth mode at

Veeocee:

this point was to throw rock rising.

Baphomet:

Yeah, no, I've done what I've done with the show. Yeah, let's do it.

Veeocee:

We'll do it. I just need to do it. Right. Okay.

Ryder:

Roll of 17 plus 1431 31.

Veeocee:

Right before we do anything, as anyone here played this brilliant stuff game I found called Pooh

Ryder:

poohing nine. Oh, no, Wii U swimming those. That's not a that's not me. I

Veeocee:

am Yeah, I heard of this. What they do is they have a big table where they line up a bunch of balls and then they try to hit the balls into holes on other sides of the table. It's

Unknown:

really like murderball Yeah, that's

Veeocee:

a concept

Baphomet:

with a lot of back with like Scott. droid. millennia ago with a great pool water The only billiards and snooker left.

Radar:

It was the great pub entertainment. darts perished.

Baphomet:

the downfall of wetherspoons legend has it that only one dartboard. remains

Unknown:

winmau

Veeocee:

so here's the deal if we can line up to asteroids Jessen, one nclr while seeing the blind spot of the first, we've got the best chance possible of hitting something into one of those sensor arrays while also not being detected.

Baphomet:

That is actually pretty good.

Unknown:

That's actually pretty good.

Baphomet:

Make sense? I mean, I was always tell you it was terrible, but actually makes a lot of sense. I don't. I guess we do it.

Unknown:

Okay, let's do it. All right, Pelican roll.

Ryder:

I just did one. Cool. It was it was it was 31. Yeah,

Radar:

yeah, yeah. Okay, so you've lined up now need another one. Just make sure you don't blow up.

Ryder:

It's gonna be the first one.

Unknown:

Yeah, the ship explodes. The Rolling one doesn't matter.

Ryder:

Okay. 10 plus 1424.

Radar:

You're fine. You you boost it's a matter of moments to boost the shift downwards, because you're latched on to this asteroid, released the landing gear and come to stop the asteroid takes off.

Ryder:

But are we aiming it at the sensor array? We're trying to get it through the gap.

Radar:

You're aiming this asteroid at a bigger asteroid. Okay, this asteroid careens into the bigger one with a lot of force. The smaller asteroid is atomized goes. And the big one is sent tumbling out of its stable orbit where it's been since probably the start of time towards tackling the like it hasn't revealed itself. It's quite well ensconced in though we'll call it the Briar Patch.

Baphomet:

What's that game called where you have to throw an ice Puck down thinking of ice Puck?

Unknown:

curling? Yes.

Radar:

This giant asteroid, which you look at it, it's probably about a mile across. Goes Hartley gone. It's closer and closer. And then you see the one of the bigger dots, all the spheres that rotate around it in the seemingly random fashion. All of a sudden stop and come to a point at the front. And there's a moment and then a brilliant red laser careens out of them and smashes into this asteroid.

Veeocee:

Somebody write that down?

Radar:

Why don't they tell you lasers? All it does is succeed in duplicating the asteroid to the two halves, one tumbles away and slides between two of the sensors the sensors only appearing actually to be about 100 metres across the little ones. But the big one takes one a Oh, nice big flash of white light. The asteroid the century gone. Anyone here got military background?

Ryder:

Guess right it does? Yeah. Public School.

Radar:

Hey, military, please. Military or professional military if you've got it?

Ryder:

Well, she is an operative and she's got a background and starships.

Radar:

This is very much battlefield military. Okay, so if you have any of those, if not, it'll just be straight culture without any bonuses. Okay.

Ryder:

It's a 15 on the dice.

Radar:

That's probably a 15 that isn't it? Well,

Ryder:

operatives get a plus two to any of their initiative or skill checks. That's the operatives edge thing so can we call it like 17?

Radar:

No, but you do get your intelligence bonus to culture not Christmas. I

Unknown:

thought so anyway,

Radar:

intelligence is plus two will be 70. Yeah. Which is enough. You now that you've seen this, you recognise a minefield covered by a gun turret when you see it? Huh?

Ryder:

Well, ladies, Mystery solved. I think I just worked out what those things are.

Baphomet:

Thank God, what is

Ryder:

that big one? That's the the laser turret and those little ones. Those are millions.

Unknown:

Oh,

Veeocee:

interesting.

Ryder:

We just went through them.

Unknown:

Yeah, there we go.

Radar:

Right. So you are still floating in the obscured by the fence of space debris around you. There is a hole, one sensor wide in the net of sensors in front of you. Okay, well, I

Ryder:

think we should continue through the gap.

Veeocee:

Allah if you would hold. Roger that.

Ryder:

13 on the dice plus 14. prism.

Radar:

Do you still got the like is powered up, you see where everything is? And you boost for the gap. Do you keep accelerating?

Ryder:

Probably not just let a drift.

Veeocee:

Maybe suppose

Ryder:

like adjustments if I need to.

Unknown:

Okay, just slide on. Oh, okay.

Radar:

The like is running itself, I'm guessing.

Unknown:

Can we do that?

Veeocee:

I think we can only do stuff when we even got the engines powered up.

Radar:

You are drifting, aren't you?

Unknown:

Oh, yeah, that's true. Okay,

Veeocee:

so yeah, we'll

Ryder:

put stuff back on once we're drifting.

Radar:

Okay. You've got stuff on. Your outside senses are dulled. You've still got some mix, but like Is that good? Which is lucky because you Yeah, towards the net. And everybody tenses up ourselves pension everything. And you're looking around and you're keeping an eye on them, which is good because you see one of them. The eye the beeping light on it turns on follows you. And then it starts moving towards you like an asteroid.

Veeocee:

Nope. It's

Ryder:

moving towards us exporters. I'm going to accelerate. All

Radar:

right, you have to drop out of stealth for that. Yep. Well,

Veeocee:

we're gonna have to depend it depends. It might just be

Ryder:

No, I think they're magnetic and loose things explode. So it's gonna

Veeocee:

be really useful something to jettison out the cargo bay, right.

Unknown:

Sure would be good if we had grenades, right about

Ryder:

the nuclear turret someone,

Veeocee:

anyone? Or how far away is it?

Radar:

Like you've lost sight of it behind the coming of the cockpit right now. If you're accelerating, start accelerating.

Ryder:

I'm going to accelerate a wave pilot Rob. 17 investors 1431.

Radar:

Right. All protocols got out the window at this point. You've lit every engine. You've even got the fucking cookers in the kitchen. Not degrees facing backwards. The anything that isn't bolted down in the like it has now been firmly pushed to the back. So that goes up slowly. There. And if perhaps not careful, because she does like to not be in her seat at critical times.

Baphomet:

Yeah, she's also she wasn't wasn't paying attention. Roger just

Ryder:

saw the magnetic mine drifting towards the ship and just put a foot down.

Radar:

Literally just punched it chewy.

Veeocee:

Yeah. Well, I guess that's the stealth element.

Radar:

Your passive sensors help maybe you're just gonna fucking Periscope. Cool. I know. You look behind, and the mine has ceased following you and return to its position.

Unknown:

Well, that could have been worse.

Radar:

You, however, have clearly given up stealth at this point.

Ryder:

You know, the alternative would have been to give up the whole. Yeah, no,

Veeocee:

we could have we could have just jumped at it. The alternative was death.

Ryder:

It was a nuclear missile explored a lot.

Veeocee:

We've got lasers,

Radar:

we'd put the Gatling laser in. But that's only forward mounted. But I would have had to like flip

Unknown:

the ship round.

Radar:

Yeah. Anyway, now that you're through the thing, and you don't do your eyesight isn't basically obscured by this net. You're in a very, very small star system. There's a sun. That's two planets, one of which we could describe as earth like, with two moons, and the network of minds. And that seems to be it to plant while two planets,

Veeocee:

two planets, and one of them is two moons.

Radar:

You don't know the planets. But because you're in the theming system for the sake of roleplay. The nearest one to the sun will be through me or one. And when they're furthest away from the sun will be familiar to sorry. All right?

Unknown:

panic a little bit.

Veeocee:

I reckon probably head back into stealth mode. sharpish approaching these planets.

Ryder:

I think the game's up at this point.

Veeocee:

Maybe but that doesn't mean they have to know where we are now.

Unknown:

Well, should we scan?

Baphomet:

We want to scan actually. That's like kicks her way out of all the crabs and she goes like we should run a scan. Yes,

Ryder:

yes, I agree. do that now do it quick,

Veeocee:

right? golden. Oh, nine to 2905.

Radar:

You do a quick scan. And the shipping in this sector is very, very limited. compared to where you weren't goal where it was like you literally have to drop ship. There's like three vessels, one of which is coming your way that has deviated from its flight course and seems to be heading for Well, it is where you were when you came through the net. You're too far away to figure out what it is. Right?

Ryder:

There's nothing around us now that we can hide behind. Open Space. Yep.

Veeocee:

We could try and get into orbit around one of those moons.

Ryder:

We could try make a run for it. Well, nice and quick and we need to be

Veeocee:

can get into orbit around one of those moons get into stable orbit and then shut down back in stealth mode there's a chance they might ever look at

Baphomet:

something they're gonna they're probably gonna be on the hunt, where they're gonna run past us.

Veeocee:

Depends how competent they are.

Baphomet:

Set up interplanetary web of mines and lasers.

Veeocee:

Well, anyone can do that.

Baphomet:

We notice this is the domain of a warlord. We are for all intents purposes, mercenaries. We've just come to associate we've heard the getting's good. And we can get our attention if we have to by admitting that we noticed with about the organisation

Ryder:

and look how easily we got through your security were very handy. Very handy.

Baphomet:

We're very good stuff we professionals all play. I amicable, I think.

Ryder:

I think this beta guy might appreciate a bit of a bit of iron balls where

Baphomet:

none of us have balls on the ship at the moment. So right here

Ryder:

Buffy you're going to need to be the captain now also we need to make this this this place look a bit more mercenary. It's a bit too clean and well kept at the moment. I'm sorry. Already back we're going to need to dirty it up a bit.

Unknown:

Oh, I will be moving stand again.

Radar:

Yeah, the ship has adjusted course to intercept where you aren't going to cut you off.

Baphomet:

We should make the first move let's let's let's let's solve

Radar:

nope one appears to be where you could describe as a destroyer oh

Unknown:

okay

Ryder:

well let's change course defence then

Baphomet:

yeah we should I mean we probably I'm going to try out one this guy in his own backyard so let's let's just take him head on okay

Ryder:

Buffy I'm gonna I'm gonna leave you to do the talking if that's okay

Baphomet:

absolutely um v Could you get me on goals what

Veeocee:

DVDs like Clary setting our full board sealed and like yeah probably good idea.

Ryder:

Yeah right is gonna get her eyepatch that she only wears a

Baphomet:

backpack take one of these goes and looks like a coupon

Veeocee:

you'd be gentle with that one.

Baphomet:

It's just when you had you show that clean bath

Radar:

it could be one of his moulds

Baphomet:

that will actually probably be preferable

Ryder:

rather trottin with her eyepatch and she's like a hired me hearties we come looking over her booty Oh sorry.

Radar:

She was like a done sorry.

Ryder:

It's a turns to face the destroyer.

Radar:

are you flying towards it?

Ryder:

Yes. Not super aggressively but with purpose.

Unknown:

Okay,

Veeocee:

well know we all fall forward to when we want to fall fortunately, we

Unknown:

want to heal them as

Radar:

well before we'd like you detect an energy surge within the heart of the destroyer that now that it resolves in front of you. It doesn't look like a starship you've seen before. It looks it looks like an angry scarab beetle.

Baphomet:

Masonite style

Ryder:

we haven't done a shipping counter like this since the first campaign

Radar:

I know it's kind of a little bit pleased you didn't just go stealth again Yes, I was going to play play with this

Ryder:

I was getting I was getting bored of doing that

Radar:

yeah it's it's a little that's why I sort of imposed the whole you can only do it for so long sort of thing. Yeah, because if you could just drop out of existence when you like

Ryder:

everyone would be Ryder. That would do it all

Unknown:

when

Radar:

they come from the ship itself seems to have come from one of the moons around what did I call it? Soumya three

Baphomet:

that's obviously where where anything

Radar:

is only a two there's only two Soumya two which is the one further right that's the earth like one with the two moons

Baphomet:

so to me to defect to the place where we want to be getting to Fisher came from that we could try fighting these guys we could try out running them and get to the surface we should tell them

Unknown:

yeah you halen yeah we get now

Radar:

All right. There's no response

Ryder:

different frequency

Baphomet:

will just send the message we seek an audience with with no, but we don't know that he says the longest we would know Yeah, we can Oh, these with the icon. We have information that they might find of great use. That's just a text message. It's not we oxiana

Radar:

there is a flash of light from one of the Star Wars wingtips if you will. and the like. shutters with a blow dogshit

Unknown:

we pissed it off

Veeocee:

combat. You I mean combo right now. Oh,

Radar:

these extra desex as a small nuclear weapon goes off under you. Ah, the liker takes 20 points of damage.

Veeocee:

Let the record show I've specifically blame after this.

Radar:

Oh, nope. Sorry. 20 is absorbed by your forward forward shield for Yeah.

Unknown:

Didn't you divert all of the Yes. ports for children

Veeocee:

in anticipation of maybe just turning up and yelling at them wouldn't work?

Radar:

That's a really good model as

Veeocee:

me

Radar:

What sorry, what are your shields on currently? Then?

Ryder:

The character sheet I've got here. So it's 35.

Radar:

What were the shields at t? v

Veeocee:

140. Is the shell total?

Radar:

Yeah, so does the ship does the shifting to front legs. We just take it like one for one.

Veeocee:

Yeah. So you basically you can divert everything to one 2% of your shields believes all three other sections completely undefended?

Radar:

Okay, you take 20 so the shields leaving you at 120 and now it's initiative. Okay. Oh, boy. It got 24. So,

Ryder:

roll initiative for the ship. I guess it's the pilot, right?

Radar:

It's your speed plus a D 20.

Ryder:

Speed is 13. On this sheet.

Radar:

I got an 18 plus 1318 2831. So the Leica is going first, this angry dark post. Bye Stone it looks like now you can see it in the front view screen machine is hurtling towards you.

Ryder:

Okay rudder is going to do some evasive manoeuvres and try and hook around behind it.

Radar:

We don't have a table to do this on. So the way I'm going to work this is you need to roll a D 20 and get your speed or under, in order for that manoeuvre to be successful, or I'm going to say gets a free shot at you. And likewise, it will do the same thing and you'll get a free shot at it. Alright, just keep it fast and simple with the stats we've

Ryder:

got. Sure. Well, is we diverting all of the shields around again before it happens? Well, okay,

Radar:

yeah. So now we'll break this up, then we'll do like a crew phase. Then you move phase Natural Turn. So phase, which is now v what you're doing with the shields,

Veeocee:

right? 64 2020 sides. 20 out.

Radar:

Okay, and you're keeping track of that. Yeah. I'll show you as well. Let me do it. Yeah. Okay, Beth, are you giving any Captain orders

Baphomet:

at the moment? We're just trying to get out right, Sophie?

Unknown:

I think you're on the gun still shooting back?

Baphomet:

Oh, that's trashy. Okay, Jackie.

Radar:

I'm on the gun. You're in Ryder see radar see Yeah, there was a warden mcpgroup

Veeocee:

Undertale group

Ryder:

experfy is now going to just flat rate

Unknown:

flat bot so it's not

Radar:

gonna go up into the sea. That would be your crew action when you're shooting the ship phase and then writer Yes, I was in roll yeah piloting roll to move this will put you on the flank it will be another turn to get behind it and it will have a chance to move as well.

Ryder:

Okay, so this ship has got a plus three to its piloting modifier. What does that mean?

Radar:

All right. I'm just going to chuck that on the speed then. And so you need 16 or under to get Oh, it's good. Nice and simple.

Unknown:

All right. So

Radar:

am I in case you can't tell I am fudging the space combat. Whatever. Fine. Yeah, as long as it's working. It's fun. Yeah. Oh, you also have placeholder piloting in the notes.

Unknown:

Yes.

Radar:

There you go. Flip the like over in a half roll. Dip onto the ship as it's coming. It looked at the ship didn't even blink. It looks like it's just gonna run you down. It's bigger than you are. Your roll up and you're currently on its flank. Halfway round to it. It's on your right hand side. You are on its right hand side. So you're passing one another currently You are a beam to use a nautical term. Okay. Right. And then bath shooting shooting time

Ryder:

right. Shoot. So we've got the chain cannon and we've got the tactical nuclear missile launcher.

Unknown:

kick start hard.

Veeocee:

Yeah. They started off on mute so it's only

Radar:

Yeah. The guns only cover the forward arc where's the nuclear patar? It is a turret.

Baphomet:

Well, we are we are facing them like head on though.

Radar:

No, you are now to the side of them. You are being

Baphomet:

done. Whatever for that one.

Radar:

That would be your ballistic to hit. And then the damage is five D eight if you hit 21 I mean, if you get in that 20

Baphomet:

No, I didn't. But I did get a 3033 3317 plus my major TAC for and plus my decks.

Radar:

No push the next bonus.

Baphomet:

Oh, sorry. So yeah,

Radar:

because that would have made you a better shot than radar. Yeah, I as a player. That's still a really good hit, though. So you fire off a nuclear missile. The way I like to imagine it is a bit janky we've got basically wire guided onto the thing like with a ps4 controller. But the beautiful thing about a nuclear weapon is you don't have to be too precise. Hmm, this thing slams well it looks like it slams into the side of the ship and there is a blinding flash of light. Roll your damage please. Five D eight.

Baphomet:

Right. I got 21

Radar:

Nice. So there's a blinding flash of light. That after a moment it clears you up down and there's a big guy who's taken out the side of this vessel. On your yes you can see Well, the inside of it sort of goes a bit red and you can't really make out too much detail because still a lot of smoke from the explosion. But as it moves around a couple of things. One make perception wrong.

Unknown:

Everyone would

Radar:

just bat faster one at a time.

Baphomet:

Just after after the

Unknown:

massive 24

Radar:

ships torpedo

Unknown:

or sorry 24

Radar:

pretty well that's enough. So you know how like Minecraft is made out of squares? Hmm. This thing looks like it's made out of hexagons. Mm hmm. And you You've destroyed Well, a lot of hexagons. But there's no slot that you've broken half of them it just looks like those hexagons have been removed. And then as you're watching it starts to heal.

Baphomet:

Is there anything inside within like a Lego block ship thing?

Radar:

It looks sort of hollow inside. You can see some what look like delicate sort of electrics. Then they start moving a little bit in the ship starts to heal. Oddly enough as well the ship looks like it's made out of stone.

Baphomet:

Yeah, under the MIS system check the sound of the sounds like more organisation COPPA shit

Unknown:

they make

Veeocee:

claims on it's called.

Baphomet:

Oh, isn't that 2026 26?

Radar:

Yeah, so 26 that this is not a starship, you are fighting.

Baphomet:

This is a constant drone.

Radar:

This is a construct. It looks like a drone.

Baphomet:

So yeah, she tells you I'm gonna have this spacious. It's like a flying Golem. This isn't real.

Unknown:

mean it's not real. It's real. But

Baphomet:

the ship isn't real. There's no there's a reason it's in his back.

Unknown:

It's a real pile of dust. Okay, fine.

Radar:

It's for its turn now. But

Baphomet:

it's but it's it's it is revealing something fishy. Looks like it's heating itself a bit. If you're doing it fast, like how fast we're talking?

Radar:

it roughly to the six worth of turn. So,

Unknown:

yes.

Veeocee:

Yeah, as I say, if we don't know the whole suit real quick jumping across to it and save it on the inside.

Baphomet:

doesn't have any kind of like foster situation going on.

Radar:

You can't see any engines,

Baphomet:

right? It's just being things being like mystically formed an attacking point, even the real ship at all? Well,

Radar:

if you allow it to have its turn,

Baphomet:

now we're gonna get shorter. That's real.

Radar:

It turns but not in the traditional sense. The hexagons, rearrange it, rearrange the shape of it, and it basically reverses on the spot.

Baphomet:

Oh, nice. Like putting a jump into them.

Radar:

Yeah, literally, it does. Like it just gets the job. It's coming back the other way. And it makes a turn towards you. And it succeeds. It is now still on your right hand side, but it's looking at you. And it fires. It's the weapon. When I say it's looking at you, it doesn't have a face. It's entirely blank front. But that blankness all of a sudden bits of it starts shooting out at you and there's 1000s of them.

Baphomet:

Wait like the rocks are firing off at us?

Radar:

Yeah, the little hexagons are being propelled that you that speed.

Unknown:

Incoming shields up a shield.

Radar:

This is coming in on the right hand side.

Veeocee:

That's against 20 shields

Radar:

25 damage on the right hand side.

Veeocee:

That was if any of them were critical, so that none of them are critical. 95 total?

Radar:

Yeah. So these things have no explosive component. It's literally just appears to be just solid matter. And it's just it's spitting on that. And the shields buckle on that side of the leg. Yeah. And you sadly you can have a few heavy funds on the hole. How How far

Baphomet:

is the ship mass?

Radar:

It's closing on you now is probably half a kilometre. You can still safely make it.

Unknown:

Yeah.

Veeocee:

I already tactically something. Something's going to be controlling this. I figured our best bet are either to try and get some. So get on board and save it from the inside. Run. Or just keep nuking it until there's nothing big enough. Here's

Baphomet:

what happens to 24 we came from that moon.

Ryder:

But if we can get you there, can you do a psychic scan and try and find out what some what's controlling it? Yeah, absolutely.

Baphomet:

What do I want to get for that time?

Radar:

a psychic scan. You're pulling your magic mind bullshit.

Ryder:

You're putting your magic spaceship? Yeah,

Baphomet:

it's more than just pick up the fucking Lego that have no engine. So

Radar:

I love the way the word spaceship is being used for it. Let's continue.

Baphomet:

Yeah, it seems like it's like a Golem type thing.

Radar:

It basically you've got it in on the first passage, strike 2028 so you, you don't think you're gonna get much luck with this constructs. Because they're a singular purpose and are basically pre programmed. It would be like trying to have your windows 10 pc interface with a typewriter. There's just no connection, right?

Unknown:

And you scan it.

Veeocee:

And so you've never dropped a Windows 10 pc on a typewriter before. You definitely definitely some interfacing that.

Unknown:

Vice versa.

Radar:

You can't get a handle on this. But oddly, you could probably get a handle on its maker.

Baphomet:

Yeah, for one I once forgot.

Radar:

This This thing has been in space. aliens. It's another old piece of technology. You try and reach like I'm basically using your magic mind bullshit and move through the mists of time.

Baphomet:

I am a mystic. I will have you put some respect on that term.

Radar:

Sorry, you use your incredibly powerful tardy well deserved magic mind bullshit, thank

Baphomet:

you wait.

Radar:

I'm trying to solve as I'm trying to think how to phrase it right? You find yourself suddenly taken out of existence and you're on a MindScape. And you've been in one of these before. This is you've seen this university tells

Veeocee:

you what has happened.

Unknown:

And you're looking at what I can only describe

Radar:

as tall, vaguely humanoid shapes made entirely of this. frosted glass almost spiky and pointed. Moving around. Very, very slowly. touching a control pad. Yes. And then this thing being constructed in front of it, and then you're back in the guns, gunner. See? All right.

Baphomet:

This, um, well, it's fine. That's what it's our turn. Whose turn is it?

Radar:

There's no Your turn. So it's now crew turn. And shipping.

Veeocee:

Are you gonna tell us what you saw?

Baphomet:

Yeah, I just wanna make sure that we weren't gonna get shot what you're talking about it?

Radar:

Oh, no, I picked my pulse time.

Baphomet:

Okay, go this thing, isn't it a bit like, like, fly guy. It's not. It's not a real ship. And even if we take it out, it'll probably just rebuild itself is immensely powerful. We need to find them rather than fighting this thing. We cannot run it. But otherwise we would be taking chunks of it for the regardless of

Ryder:

what the shields are down. If you want to make a run for it. We got to do it now. Let's have fun. I just think

Veeocee:

if we did that, then I'm gonna take our remaining shields.

Unknown:

Yep. Sounds good to me. Yeah. All right.

Radar:

So right, anybody else doing anything? Before the ship moves? Because once we start moving the ship, I say you can't retro actively go back and do stuff.

Baphomet:

I found that. Yeah. I don't feel like we can. I mean, me personally, I don't feel like we're going to be fighting this thing. And when if it's going to keep you going yourself and it's doing enough damage. To me, it's gonna be a drag out fight, we could probably just make a run for it. So where is the the moon in relation to which way we are facing at the moment? It's in front of you.

Radar:

I was running, it came from the moon and you flew towards it.

Ryder:

Okay, so we don't need to do like, a flip and burn

Radar:

it, which you just need to do a straight move, which isn't even a pile of rocks going in a straight line?

Ryder:

Yeah, cuz I'm just looking at all of the movements and stunts and shit. And there's like, loads of calculations need to make by tear. And I thought with that,

Radar:

yeah. Don't use the rulebook. Or if you wanted to fly defensively, however, so you know, get there perhaps without just being intercepted by several nuclear missiles. You'd need another manoeuvrability wrong.

Ryder:

Okay, well, sounds good to me. I'll do policing role and I'll fly invasively so if we

Baphomet:

find the thing into the into the minor I

Ryder:

think there'll be something in places stop that from happening.

Baphomet:

I'm saying what maybe wouldn't follow us maybe kids blows up on it. Just Just thought just thought if it comes down to it, it's always an option. Yeah. Now let's let's run away.

Ryder:

We're not running away. We're hiding.

Baphomet:

Yeah. Oh, yeah. That's way more than

Ryder:

it is what I do it. Okay, is that is that what everyone wants to incur? Okay,

Veeocee:

but 15 off shields or 15 foot shields and 10 the rest rocker is one of the best out we've got. But

Ryder:

yeah, we're gonna try and fly basically, so we don't get hit by any more nukes in the butt on the way out.

Radar:

Right? So it's another manoeuvrability roll which is the ship Scott speeds 13 your thing gives you plus three from the modifiers and one from the notes so 17 or less again?

Unknown:

Okay?

Radar:

No, no situation a modifier 70

Ryder:

that is a five on the dice you

Radar:

Yeah, you got a 17 render that's a pass by 12 So yeah, you you could just burn for the moon but this thing incepted you in fired nukes into your face and you know, you don't want to fly in a straight line

Ryder:

and get spanked with a nuclear missile in a way that's good cool. Yes. Because

Radar:

now you get to reflect save against anything it fires at you. Which will be a straight 13 unmodified or less it moves to follow you reforming again. So it was coming where you were it doesn't turn it just like putting a jumper inside I but sideways.

Baphomet:

I really that's really cool imagery. I like that.

Veeocee:

Yeah,

Radar:

it doesn't move according to physics that much mass and weight

Veeocee:

should that should be like slewing like like it does.

Radar:

But it doesn't it just because

Veeocee:

yeah. Find out the time moons matter other stuff.

Unknown:

No Christ.

Radar:

RJ have a fucking plot point.

Unknown:

Oh.

Baphomet:

Small things that fuck maybe we should just avoid them in time.

Radar:

You you have that thought you keep it to yourself. You don't share it with the crew. All right. So the thing fires and it's firing a little differently this time you detect a massive energy spike. And a casual observer might notice that actually a lot of the vessel breaks away and vanishes just brings out existence by Free missiles are projectiles anyway. Big ones like for a fire that you first it fires no one is a hit. The second one is also a hit

Unknown:

now as in the ass is Cypher Yes,

Radar:

you've got you can use to evasion rules here but the second one will be half of what the first was. And if you kept doing it the third would be half the second and so on. Because you're under that much pressure. So the first rule if you wish to dodge the first missile is going to impact you it's 30 more or less and the 20 Okay,

Ryder:

and what's the second one gonna be seven or less seven or less? Yeah. Okay, rolling to evade the first missile. Yeah. 17

Radar:

the first missile has hit you enrolled with a the second

Unknown:

Okay, second one.

Radar:

Okay. You dodged the second one. But the first one. Yes, I'm mighty. Excuse me while I pick up this bucket of dice. Ah,

Ryder:

the first one just bought some

Unknown:

makeup makeup perception roll. Okay. 21 on your

Radar:

radar screen as you see the little red dots heading towards the little green dots or the little green dots. You see one of them push the other missile away the other missile wings out of existence. And the first bullet pushed out of the way hits you. So that's 73 damage.

Unknown:

Oh, shit. I

Veeocee:

never went to 50 ratios.

Radar:

Okay, so 20 What did I say? 7373 here? Yeah, so 23 of that will go on to the hole. The holes already taken five from 65 so you're down to 43

Baphomet:

Okay, we can't we would Yeah, we got to do something about this

Radar:

and the warning light in front of you Ryder as let's

Ryder:

see if you can disable it or something.

Radar:

The sensors and the power core architecture. Oh, well, we

Unknown:

need that to live.

Radar:

Well I'm sure you've got someone on board who can rewrite power to the emergency i've i've

Veeocee:

wrestled but I've leaned back on it

Baphomet:

before this is so much trouble but one time we get shut out of the sky is my fault.

Radar:

Right? Can I also have a pilot role please from the horrendous smack up the ass you just

Unknown:

Oh no.

Radar:

Why is everyone always smacking my ass? minus 10 minus 10 you got hit the fucking news you've been casting up for bucket wins.

Ryder:

Yeah, you're right. Well, good thing Robin 19 on dice plus piloting of 14

Radar:

minus 10 from that new 323 that's fine. It's a whack it's the Star Trek thing. A couple of panels explode that cable fall from the sky. The Doors through the whole

Ryder:

motor squirts the nearby fire with her little pocket fire extinguisher

Radar:

you are flying the ship right now you got to

Unknown:

actually with a tail to do it with a tail

Radar:

for a bit of flavour. Radars station is on fire which will last a little bit backside anyway eg energy signal on your radar screens has significantly diminished

Unknown:

from from what

Radar:

it was a massive radar energy signature

Baphomet:

so we can choose between using parts of itself to attack us

Ryder:

or it's running out of power this is consuming a lot of energy for it to move on yes

Unknown:

yes I hit my bat and

Ryder:

we're dead like disco we need to get out of it.

Baphomet:

Yeah yeah this is this is make one

Veeocee:

more so what is

Unknown:

everyone make a bigger one for

Veeocee:

V's diverting 35 to

Radar:

35 Is that all you've got left

Veeocee:

that's all we've got that basically changed reconfigured machines

Radar:

writer you're doing another fly moves

Ryder:

yep more fly moves away all right from whatever this Yeah,

Radar:

she's doing docking it's a 16 or and now we've just taken a bit of damage.

Unknown:

Yeah, okay. Free Yeah. All right.

Radar:

Even though it's been nuked twice been machine gun had a lot of hits on it. The holes been breached in several places and you're pretty sure that these nice engineering hammock they had an engineering room

Unknown:

you've gone loose

Radar:

the Leica and you are out to accelerate this thing. But it's literally like this if it was like a movie the camera wouldn't be doing the camera shake sort of thing. Everything's good rating,

Unknown:

you know. The screaming you

Radar:

flying the like apart. baffle you doing

Baphomet:

that's putting out the fire station.

Radar:

Now. You don't have to. Well, she

Baphomet:

doesn't have anything to do right now. Like what like, firing on the escape?

Veeocee:

Can we could she Why

Unknown:

not?

Baphomet:

Oh, we can show I didn't know if we're putting all power you After the whatever

Radar:

this did some nuclear missile you just literally like a match under it and I think it's time to shoot new.

Unknown:

So 1515

Radar:

Yeah, that's still a hit. You swing the periscope Orion ignoring the small fire that's raging in the paddle on the river. That's right, that's just the safeties look through the thing and what's left of this. I'm just gonna call it the fucking vehicle. It's basically one eighth of the size it was you took a bigger chunk out of it with the previous visit there and you fight you pull the lever and fire off another missile at arcs over there, like back towards this thing. And it doesn't even attend to dodge, roll to roll damage.

Baphomet:

Nothing God. Give my D 10s. Unlucky. Oh, really?

Unknown:

Yeah. Wait with any radar points to reroll one of those dice to get a higher result?

Baphomet:

Yeah, I do. I'm going to use it.

Unknown:

shipwrecks if you don't get this Oh, you okay?

Baphomet:

Oh, it's seven. So shit. Well, that's a before 1919 so minus one is 1818 plus 725.

Unknown:

Fuck,

Radar:

right? The missile slams in the face. And it just vaporises the flash of light. It's about eight times what it should be for a nuclear missile detonation. Whatever you hit, it's clearly vital and it has thrown the like riding it on a bow wave of an explosion so I need another pilot role but we are now a combat

Veeocee:

did we put out their magazine? You don't know

Radar:

this thing doesn't obey the normal rules for starship

Baphomet:

oh we aim for the moon orbits the planet

Radar:

you well that's just it. You are now in the gravity of that moon

Ryder:

that's a 34 pilot

Radar:

I'm sorry minus 10

Ryder:

because of the damage that's a 24 pilots.

Radar:

That's not bad. The like it is slipping from under control once you are struggling the moon appears to have an atmosphere

Ryder:

you know that you're here you can see plants Okay, I'm going to try my best to point the flat bottom of liker towards the atmosphere so we don't burn up

Radar:

yet you're gonna you're trying for a re entry basic

Ryder:

Yep.

Unknown:

Yeah, coffee engines on fire and

Veeocee:

right well the cockpits burning 35 to 40 deals

Radar:

all right the you ship the ship you ship to the Ford shields. I'm going to roll for your power no but you know what? I'm going to let you roll for the power roll a percentile please V

Veeocee:

is 21

Radar:

the shields when it does not also like vapour burning off so

Veeocee:

one bit so ship burning off

Radar:

yeah Raja is very very much busy in the in the pilot seat right now and you all can feel those slow rattle of a ship entering atmosphere not entirely in control. Also, radio station is still on fire.

Unknown:

I'm putting it out I have a fight fireballs. Yeah,

Baphomet:

actually no way I can I can use hazardous make water purify Peter Bay.

Radar:

That is a terrible plan in a room full of electrics

Baphomet:

okay well what do you what what foam foam I make foam appear?

Unknown:

You can make

Baphomet:

but I did decide to get a 14 for my fight fire.

Radar:

Alright you you're like I know a beat today and you run to your closet to get a piece of clothing today and then you stop halfway you're like no that's stupid. So you go to the writers room, I get one of her body

Unknown:

just sits on it. I made a post that won't help

Radar:

you proceed to stop you. You control the fire but you can't seem to put it out pretty soon also like bits of feathers and fluffy. A damn ship right now you don't get to see this.

Baphomet:

Right Which is your favourite character Silas are

Unknown:

busy right now. In this composition

Radar:

up so v you've still got the power from the shields it just seems like the sensors themselves the projects themselves or damage rather than the loss of power. You can direct that to other things if you wish

Veeocee:

that she'll power is just spitting two shields.

Radar:

Then if you've got a backup battery that you will have some wiring you can't really do much with right now. So you got a warning light in the power core, which is now malfunctioning or warning light on everything you do. But most of the the glitches This is a malfunction. The main power core is malfunctioning like is hurtling towards the ground.

Veeocee:

about it Whose idea was it to

Baphomet:

like try and put out the fire which is basically like there's no type of finger pointing just do something

Veeocee:

frozen faster we're gonna go this is if I can get parts a little jittery

Radar:

yeah so to do that you'll need to go into the engineering room

Veeocee:

resist VA knows exactly how there's

Radar:

not going to repeat the fucking

Veeocee:

there's still nothing to actually attach yourself to down there this is gonna sprint through the shit downs in

Radar:

the best makes a very very very determined speeded leave or bridge through things. You get to one of the corridors and it is depressurized, but basically just knuckled through

Veeocee:

it, you just

Radar:

go Hold your breath open, step through, close the door, go to the next bit that's pressurised, go through that you get to the engineering room. And it's not as bad as the read X would have suggested on the bridge. But it is definitely more function. You can make an engineering role. Three succession, you need to pass it on. 25

Veeocee:

Okay, well, the first role was in 2010. Okay, engineering started 30. That's one five for the second ones. That's 15. And then four sets. 2014. So 15 1430. God, like,

Unknown:

no, we're sure Oh, five

Veeocee:

is not really much I can do. Oh, wait, how many times a rolling?

Radar:

You got to you need to pass another two times. You've got another three attempts to do it before I do something.

Veeocee:

18 to 28 1320. Oh,

Radar:

okay. So you got to so it's not as bad as it could have been. But, writer? Yes. The hell doesn't seem to be responding to your inputs at the moment. They are coming in at the wrong angle. Far too steep. If you don't correct this, the like a will

Ryder:

burn up in the atmosphere. Okay, do we have any young like mechanical flaps that I can deploy that don't need power, you've got the

Veeocee:

power, but we just don't have enough to

Ryder:

fly properly, the things malfunctioning. I need something that can be done with a lever,

Radar:

you do have the aerodynamic things. But they're the sort of ones you deploy after you slow down in the atmosphere, because otherwise they'll just rip off. You think you might if you can,

Veeocee:

you can trim it and you can extend the life has been sold in an hour.

Radar:

Yeah, give it a bit of rudder. Try. Yep. Pilot roll. Roll.

Ryder:

So that is 11 plus 1425.

Unknown:

That's enough.

Radar:

Yes, is slowing into the atmosphere just to create a little more drag without ripping anything vital off of the vessel. It seems to be responding with that you actually managed to bring the nose up a little bit, but the fire it's doing the right thing. Which is a little bit of an issue considering that some of the ship is now unpressurized and has literally been typed into nothing. Yeah. So now it's into the next bit fast. You've controlled the fire. It's not just small burning. The body pillow afraid?

Unknown:

Didn't make it Oh,

Radar:

will not. I mean, you're in the middle of an emergency. But I guess you you haven't some actions. Now if you want to do them.

Baphomet:

All we can do with freefalling I don't have any abilities that I can do tonight. With this moment. All I can really do I guess is well no, I can't really do that. I'm not I would have to hold action. I can't do anything right now. Okay.

Radar:

Write down your your pirate roll v. Yes.

Veeocee:

Right when we pass through into normal atmosphere, deploy the winds put as much as possible. Now, they'll break off. I know once but once there is no matter what slow down enough deployment and you can trim it without your

Radar:

angle is far too steep still. You are at 60,000 metres and descending. So if you're still trying it, need another three rows 25 to be

Veeocee:

well the first one was 126 125 16. Got one more. Two.

Unknown:

Join us radar point.

Veeocee:

Yes. Rolling. Rolling two points.

Radar:

You just got a roll of a dice.

Veeocee:

Roll the one two Uh, no, that was lucky. I was 16.

Unknown:

So 26 in total? Yeah.

Veeocee:

Yeah.

Radar:

Right you do it, you go down. You basically you tie all the pipes of the relevant noises you talk all the cables backwards supposed to be. And with a very, very large hammer, you just whack the reactor. And on the bridge right now, right, the nose suddenly responds to your inputs.

Ryder:

I'm going to toggle up very very sparingly. Okay, 14 plus 1428

Radar:

minus 10. Still want to stay CT, right? The the warning system on your console has just given up at this point. But the nose and the angle of attack are now appropriate for re entry into the atmosphere. The problem is that it's a really fast re entry. You are coming in at a rate of knots a little hot you need you need to slow the fuck down. Okay, but we have

Ryder:

control over the ship now. Yes. Okay. I guess more rather than just try and slow down.

Radar:

Yeah, so you're still coming in, make another pirate roll. Okay. So that

Ryder:

20 1424 Yeah. 24 Okay,

Radar:

it's good. She's responding. And two more, two more, the more you are getting very close to the ground. Yep.

Ryder:

1614 was 10 2020 again.

Radar:

And one more. One more. One more. It's looking good.

Veeocee:

Guys. Again,

Radar:

less than or fuzzy dice need to be checked for they're waiting.

Unknown:

A good dice these now open.

Radar:

The like, slams not hard but slams into the water doesn't sink verge skip top of it like a stone. The impact however still does. 14 points of damage to the hole further injuring the vessel. The wings you deployed the wings when it was appropriate. You've got some control but it's judging. You are approaching a landmass in front.

Unknown:

Brace brace brace.

Radar:

Shit, loses its velocity. skips on the water a second time.

Unknown:

Third time

Radar:

takes up onto the beach. And steams as the water literally boils around it.

Unknown:

And up in the cockpit

Ryder:

there is a tiny wide eyed otter just shaking, trembling holding the flight stick and of death grip.

Veeocee:

Just roll roll for my requisite v damage. Okay.

Radar:

No v you're actually fine. You You know full of escorts Shame on them full of so much thinner. Okay, yeah. Oh, bath. Well, you would you see? Yeah, she

Baphomet:

she learned her lesson.

Radar:

Yeah, that's right then. Yeah, everybody's like, groggy and things. Writers as affer mentioned, probably the single most intense piloting you've ever had to do when unless I'm wrong. And this is

Ryder:

what we've had to out run some shit once or twice. But that was the first time that Ryder probably hasn't felt like she's been in total control thing. She's flying.

Radar:

Yeah, you were effectively shot down.

Ryder:

Yes. soft landing though.

Veeocee:

Disappointed sad. The ship was actually in good condition for like, all of one day we had we just got eggs.

Radar:

Well guess what your money for doing this jobs go in then.

Unknown:

We are never taking another purpose from the organisation.

Baphomet:

They'll take 35,000 credits worth of damage, so I won't get credits.

Radar:

Anyway, well, we're wrapping up here. So we'll do a little bit of housekeeping before we end actually. Yeah, so the I'm guessing you're gonna do an immediate diagnostic on the ship.

Veeocee:

Yeah, john.

Baphomet:

Just finished a while ago.

Veeocee:

18 plus 10 for engineering so 28

Radar:

it's not as bad as it looks.

Veeocee:

There's a hole in it. But I've already written down ship status box I

Radar:

scribble it out and put slightly less factor than you thought. What you might have to do is somebody is going to have to peel writers hands off of those controls because

Ryder:

you know, it looks like rigger boss oh no writer writer is now she's doing like one of those savage deaths anime thing where she's like cradling the bud face of Silas.

Unknown:

You said that he was fine.

Radar:

It's a body pillow but it looks completely intact up between the face which is

Ryder:

I'll never forget you Silas.

Baphomet:

Okay, I'll get you another one like this super expensive like one of the kinds like

Unknown:

robots. She said they were unique. Now they're extinct.

Radar:

Sorry, is there any in character questions or stuff people want to do? Literally, you are just now if you want, you can dismount from the ship. The atmosphere is breathable.

Baphomet:

The first thing I'm going to do with another check, this is obviously not a normal place, and I don't want to be dealing with a planet. Like that ship that's gonna attack us. So

Radar:

they go and check. mysticism check, right, so you just might be like, You jumped down. Yeah, you land in the shadow surfer thing. And it is all accidents everywhere. As far as the eye can see. And you reach down and touch the stone. This is a roll.

Baphomet:

Give me that 2122

Radar:

you put your hands on it. And instantly The purpose of this place becomes clear. This is no move. And I'm gonna leave it there.

Baphomet:
