Snyders Return:

Welcome to Snyder's return, you join us in the year 2179 on Lv four to six the shake and bake commonly known as Hartley's hope. This short space horror adventure is a cinematic playstyle taken from the freely Publishing's alien RPG, I will be your game mother currently is playing a singleton, a pilot turn tractor driver. Tyler is playing sick, his scientist and lab technician and Nathan is playing as Hirsch, an ex colonial marine turned cleaner. We hope you enjoy please hope jointly funded by the weyland yutani and united America's as an Us and Them filter, any visiting corporate folk looking down their noses at the colonies leavers. Despite this colony has been developing well. There's opportunity aplenty and risk aplenty to four days ago, a wild cat named Russ Jordan was brought back and infected with something he died and some snake like parasite disappeared into the guts of the base. Security is had no luck catching the thing. And somehow more people were infected. Has it that some of them have died. And then more of these snake light things then supervisors Simpson is admitting to Simpson spoke over the intercoms calling for calm crisis or not you have a job to do. 24 hours ago, you headed out on a maintenance run to process a nine happy to leave the base until the crisis blows over 10 kilometres out Singleton's tractor gave up the ghost, a nasty mechanical crunch told you it wasn't going any further cause back to Hadley's hope, got a cursory response. You were told to wait. They get to your little problem when they had the time. While you waited, you got to talking about the crisis and the weyland yutani corporate shot and without arrived right before you left. The shuttle carried an inspection team led by a company agent Miranda Reynolds and her chief scientist, Theodora Kaminski CIG relayed something he'd overheard past conversation about the shuttle being quickly and quietly readied for departure. Reynolds and Kaminski are likely to be the only two who could authorise its use, and only with the access cards needed to use it. For all you know, it was Reynolds who ordered Jordan out there in the first place. It's not right for the weyland yutani reps just to skip out and leave you the workers to clean up this bloody mess. If things go bad, why shouldn't you get those key cards and get away instead? A days past and you have still heard nothing, or further attempts to contact hadleys hope have been fruitless. No one is coming to help. The only communications you picked up a garbled planet TV. There's no option but to walk back and see what the hell is going on. So that sets the scene. Any questions before we pick up proper?

Hirsch:

Okay, so the main objective is to get in and find is Reynold still in there,

Snyders Return:

as far as you're aware,

Hirsch:

right. It's like the Find him and he'll and they'll give like access codes to give us a shuttle to get out

Snyders Return:

you basically trying to you need to find them to get their access cards to use their shuttle.

Singleton:

Alright. Yeah, because we think they don't deserve to leave. Yeah. Well,

Snyders Return:

they're gonna leave you behind. Either way. It's not a good thing. Okay. All right. Okay, as the scenario begins, you guys, as a group of five Have you stumbled into the West airlock location indicated by my lovely drawn arrow on the map. You're weary from your long walk.

Singleton:

So we're in the West lock. And

Snyders Return:

as you enter the West air lock, and you hear there is you seem to hear sort of static and and voices coming out from it, an intercom further into the strike. It's not too far it's just beyond where you are. But you you can't make out too much over the static. So as you guys the group of fives are managed to get inside, shivering and recovering from an untied and weary from outside. Get sort of into and shouted in the air lock, you can see message. All corners must evacuate must immediately assemble at the main store room on the sub level for safety. And this begins to repeat several times.

Singleton:

Like mean, basically in the intercom as being like, crackling and static. And that's basically it.

Snyders Return:

And while you're stood near lock, you can hear the intercom crackling to life in the same message repeats.

Hirsch:

All right, we, we all know where this is then doing because we've been here before you live there. So

Snyders Return:

you guys

Hirsch:

here. Okay, cool. So the sub level All right,

Sigg:

should we hit that?

Hirsch:

So how do you get to the sub level? Because he were. There's ladders? Oh, yeah. Okay, we need to get to for the one next.

Snyders Return:

One next

Hirsch:

one, like straight ahead of us. Oh, I the one right next to us. No, that's the way to get in. You have to go over to the end of the

Singleton:

Yeah. To see to know. Well, blocks.

Hirsch:

Yeah, block. See, too. I think we can get down from there.

Singleton:

Alright, so blood. Okay. Where's the storage room? I don't see us on Wait, vehicle unloading and cargo.

Hirsch:

Yeah, well, we'll have we'll have to go there.

Singleton:

Where's that? I'm guessing Wait, surely the one that we're in now, that's the ladder down to go to that. Because Surely if we go up to level two that's going up. But we need to go down to this.

Hirsch:

We're in. We're in level one. Yeah. So it's a bit awkward that level ones on a completely different screen? map.

Snyders Return:

page book.

Hirsch:

Yeah. But I believe it looks like that ladder goes to all three levels.

Sigg:

No. And it's like it's the one at the end of the corridor.

Hirsch:

Yeah, the end of this straight corridor? Yeah, yeah. We hit that. And we'll go down to the sub level. And we'll get to the vehicle unloading and cargo area and see what the fuck is going on. Yeah.

Snyders Return:

So as you guys are waiting in the static from the intercom goes again. That last message repeat again, all colonists must immediately assemble at the main store on the sub level for safety. And then it cuts off abruptly. And then somewhere out in the distance you hear a lone gunshot echoes round and down through the ventilation ducts down into your area. And it could have come from anywhere. And you will take plus one stress. Oh.

Hirsch:

So it begins?

Snyders Return:

We cannot be somewhere.

Hirsch:

Just make a note. Roger? Yeah.

Snyders Return:

Yeah, stress. Yes. Health is relate to strength. That was the way they choose either the health mechanic easy.

Singleton:

Yeah, for strength for health. Makes sense.

Hirsch:

Okay, so basically, we just got act out stuff and you tell us what we have to roll.

Snyders Return:

In many ways. It's supposed to work the other way around if you want to go and operate a computer, but I'm you told me that and then roll to see if you can use the context or if you want to investigate. So you're gonna walk down here today. And we look around? Yeah, I'd like and all that kind of stuff. So it's more bounce you and then I move things in the background. Yeah, so this shot rings out. And you can hear this screen from the far end, sort of sending a chill down. All your androids, life, spines, sorry. And he turns to you and says, I think we should look to hasten this along.

Hirsch:

Couldn't agree more, right? Let's go. Let's get to the ladder, go down one level and get to the main storage. Find out what the hell's going on.

Singleton:

Yeah, maybe we can find Reynolds there.

Hirsch:

Yeah. That's why it wants to be taught. Right. Let's go. I head off towards the ladder. At the end of the corridor,

Snyders Return:

you make your way along. And as you sort of descend the ladder, everybody in tow you can. Did you notice how quiet it is? It is oddly silent, or that that calms crackle and the screen and just looking just looking down the ladder. You can see that there is very little light down there. And there's an odd sort of waft and smell that comes up. But you are able to descend the ladder in order, in turn making your way down. And as you get to the bottom and scan around, it is dark, it is smelly, it is quite tight, although it's quite high ceilings, there is sort of maintenance tunnels and Beijing are often around in your immediate vicinity, it doesn't seem to be sort of too much for you to worry about this exact moment in time.

Hirsch:

All right, well, the quicker we get this done.

Snyders Return:

So the first main door, you're going sorry, towards the vehicle loading and cargo bay, or you

Hirsch:

want to go to the cargo bag, because I feel that's the biggest. That that's like the storage net. Yeah,

Sigg:

I would say

Snyders Return:

it is dark and accurate. And it is not a good sensation down here. And as you swing around into the vehicle loading be there is just bits and pieces of various tractors, there appears to be some on all of their wheels, some upon sort of maintenance platforms. However, that that is all you know about a lot of them. We'll just put that caveat in there. So I saw the vehicle loading and cargo, as you go in. It's quite where you would expect people to be working and shifting stores and moving everything about it is definitely quite as you sort of climb down that ladder and move around to that vehicle loading section, you do hear a slight bit of hiss static coming from a comms unit just inside that main room. And the door through that, you know would lead to the towards the vehicle by itself is obscured with with boxes. And you can see, you can see that there is just stuff been knocked and dragged. And it is dark as anything with only sort of emergency lighting sort of lighting from small sections casting long shadows into a lot of the corners. Okay.

Singleton:

We were in the vehicle unloading cargo. Yeah. Are we in the tunnel? Oh,

Hirsch:

I want to head to the loading of it. Okay.

Snyders Return:

Yeah. So you kind of hard to swallow?

Hirsch:

Because if anything, there's a terminal there that we might have a look and see what the fuck is going on? Yeah.

Snyders Return:

All right. So yeah, as you round into the vehicle unloading cargo bay, that sort of hiss and crackle from the comms unit, sort of just a little bit of noise, you can see entering into this area. And you couldn't really tell because you didn't go the other way towards the mass housing section. But here coming around this way, there seems to be some blood and some drag marks smeared in, in sort of exotic Crimson colour. It's it's hard to see too much of anything. But there is sort of cargo crates and boxes that have been knocked. Some seem to have deep gouges and scratches on them. And there seems to be very little else by way of signs of life. Well, I

Hirsch:

don't think there's any second one here. There's blood and drag box. I mean, I we actually in the cargo we just outside the door.

Snyders Return:

It's up to you.

Hirsch:

Well, if we can see through the door, I'd like I'd rather see that. See if there's any movement if we've seen blood and drag marks?

Snyders Return:

Yeah. So a role the observation?

Hirsch:

Is there any right? Yeah. Is there any movement in there?

Snyders Return:

Do an observation

Hirsch:

or I go in? Okay. No problem to be your wits.

Snyders Return:

Plus, wherever you have plus the most you haven't had

Hirsch:

plus observations? That's one stress. Okay. No problem right here we go by weight loss by observation, lost by one stress, boom.

Snyders Return:

So you get one success. So are you able to sort of see through the door, see through the gloom, that there is currently no signs of life in this section. You do notice a lot of cargo as I say has been displaced knocked out of place. As for people, sort of settlers here from from hadleys hope that seems to be no living person. Hi there sorry for the interruption. It's Adam here. Just let you know that we will be showcasing some of our friends across the tabletop role playing community. Singleton:

we even heard anyone like when we've come down to level halfway apart from like the Tannoy. Yeah, well,

Hirsch:

I want to Well, there's a talent or like right next to the door, so we might as well see if there's anything on that chat window first. Let's go. Okay. Which one of us is good at?

Snyders Return:

combs?

Hirsch:

futuri Yeah,

Sigg:

I've got three. Yeah, that's you then Which one

Hirsch:

was it? What would it be

Snyders Return:

and be under calm? Calm?

Hirsch:

Oh, yeah. I'm not good.

Sigg:

Probably me then. Okay.

Snyders Return:

So wit your contacts give you a total dose possible stress? doses one. thing? That's right. You managed to get one success so pushing on the intercom you weren't able to what what would you What do you say down the intercom to the terminal? Yeah, you've made it you've got it to activate. But who you? Who you speaking to? Who you calling to? Yeah, that's good point. Who

Sigg:

am I calling to read? Oh, I

Hirsch:

thought it said terminal. I thought it was like a computer access terminal. Yeah, so

Snyders Return:

the intercom would be intercom. So access terminal access terminal before the door so you can open or lock the door open or shut the door? We'll say that's an access terminal. It probably is. There isn't there is an impasse or you can you will just transfer that to intercom if you want it's the you will do trying to do the same thing. Yeah. Wait, unless you tell me otherwise. Who would I talk to them just any survivals

Hirsch:

Yeah, just go anyone make self known? We are the cavalry. We are Don't tell anyone where we are fuck sake. Just Why not? Because whoever the fuck killed his bastard will then know where we are. Do they speaking? Or ask them where they don't want to? I don't want to risk that shit. could be anybody know what this is? So I'm just asking if there's any survivors. So well make yourself known or let us know what's happening. Is there anyone out there?

Sigg:

give us information.

Hirsch:

We can hear me? Yeah. Is there anyone home

Snyders Return:

as you click the columns box of a intercom unit you can hear through various corridors. It's sort of click into life as though it's not damaged. And it's all screeches out loud. And I mean, louder than you were expecting to say the least is our voices. It's it's toxic. Dr. Kaminski here trapped in my lab. Please, please help me please. And this thing is mean for this isn't like quiet. This is like megaphone as that sound is now bouncing and reverberating through this cargo bay. You're in and then and then it cuts off.

Singleton:

He's in the sea. No, we should go there. He said we need to

Hirsch:

find Reynolds. So just like Brad I'll tell you what

Singleton:

he was with him was just shout out.

Snyders Return:

They they arrived on the planet. Together, but one was a corporate. So when it was was corporate and committed he was a scientist.

Hirsch:

Well, I reckon the scientist is more of the little bitch so they'll fucking hide. So it's probably mostly Whoa, whoa, whoa, fancy. But you know exactly the tough guy here. Hi. You know, I'm the tough guy here. And I say you'd hide in the corner. So where would your little science friend hi at the med lab? Oh, you're a genius. level to you. He just told us. So. Okay. Oh, the bed lab? Oh yeah, level two is like just above us, times two. Oh, that's miles away.
