I can't ask you to walk into a room with an unknown threat and, and try to deal with him. I mean, if it doesn't work you could get Iona kind of shakes as if she's imagining something horrible coming to her head. It doesn't matter. Just listen, I I like to see if I could talk to him. But I'm not sure how close I can get. I mean, the black plague was airborne. Wasn't it was airborne. Was it or was it airborne? Or was it by fluids? Yeah, please. No, no, no, I know it was it was transferred by fleas but like how did it pass from person to person please?
Rafa:By by fleas. It was the it was by the Russians itself was passed by rats and rats had fleas who had done pass up to to human.
Iona Starling:So wait, but like every time the transfer was because of fleas?
Rafa:Yep. It was the middle ages. It was very hygiene. They didn't they also didn't have people were exactly bathing. The
Iona Starling:Pest Control. They didn't they didn't do the cleaning the hands thing. Like plague is transmitted through the bite of infected fleas or exposure to infected materials or brake. Fluid to food contact. Yes. Yeah. All right. Anyway, are jumping on us home later? Um, so if this thing plays by, like plague rules, please or contact intractable coming into contact with your blood. Okay. So, right now, airborne should be fine. But I'm not sure you're the doctor. You're the one who understands these kinds of things better than I do. What do you do when you have an unknown sickness to deal with?
Snyders Return:Trying to eliminate it and try and eliminate the risk that the blood works down with a lab? Hopefully we'll get some some results from that pretty soon. But as you say, this is this isn't straightforward. And as long as we try not to to unsettle this, this individual, this this person that that that's got this can this special condition, I guess as long as we don't cause them to lash out, I think potentially we could talk to them. You know, I'd make sure that we have masks and gloves and things like that on. If if that's something you need to do now. but we don't need get away with it today. Before Matty puts other restrictions in place, depending on what the blood work shows.
Iona Starling:I'll talk to him, but you, you don't get near him for it, I'll do that. Okay, this hospital still needs you.
Snyders Return:I'll be right outside, okay, we know where, you know, it was on the screen, we saw, we know where where this guy is we can go and have a chat. And then we can let and then I own a weed, let the hospital deal with it. And if I have to step in, that I will step in. Okay. Okay. So, as Tobia leads you down through leads you down through the hospital, down the elevators to the ward they're in. Again, it's a quiet Ward, there's like a staff nurse. Just keeping everything ticking over doing rounds of other patients who are here. OB goes over and sort of speaks to the the staff nurse briefly. And then you can see him pointing to a room just back towards a little bit, which is closed. And he sort of nods to the staff nurse moves back up the corridor to me you moves to the door doesn't touch it, but but his hands or the comes close to sort of touching the of the door. And he says to you, isn't here, Iona. Now, I will keep my word and I won't come in. But please be careful.
Iona Starling:You know, me, I'm always careful, I've ever done a single dangerous thing and
Snyders Return:he smokes. And he moves back a little bit to allow you to, to sort of use the hand sanitizer gel on the outside and then enter at your own risk effectively.
Iona Starling:And with your hands and interest.
Snyders Return:As you enter in, there's a sort of screwed up lab coat that's been sort of hung to one side, there's what looked like smart trousers and shoes and things that have been removed and put over to one side and you can see this individual in a hospital gown, on the bed. Arms, sort of palms down. So the sort of the inside of their arms are slightly obscured to you as you enter the room. And there's a faintest of sort of darker vein, just in the neck going up towards sort of the head. And they are breathing a little bit, a little bit, hurried a little bit quick. But they're not on a respirator or anything. They are just sort of in here out the way with a like a saline drip in their way right? They are semi conscious that you you notice as the eyes sort of roll slowly over to you they're not sort of snapped across in your direction and very much sort of a almost a tired expression

Iona Starling:and Doris hospital. You came in after the explosion
Snyders Return:No, I I got out of the explosion. That was no. No. So you weren't here because of the exposure? You don't look so well. No, I was. I was I was there but I wasn't in the explosion. I got out and I don't know where where am I handled hospital. So you were not in the explosions that what you're saying? This there's a moment of confliction on there. Very obvious confliction and almost a moment of panic that comes over this this gentleman's face. Screw his eyes and he's slowly sort of lifting his hands towards his his head. And he begins to go he's like oh and you You can sort of sense and feel like very much a frustration or a panic in his movement and in his his voice
Iona Starling:don't don't move you're injured right now I need you to stay in the bed okay.
Snyders Return:As he is trying to form words you can see now that his his hands have come up from his sides and up towards his temples. Every time he tries to flex and speak the veins on the inside of his arm run that little bit darker and he he sort of goes I was I was and then his voice changes he goes from so I was I was there but but I got out. I was I was I was I was in bed. I was I was the
Iona Starling:bed where were you? What are you? What are you talking about?
Snyders Return:There was straps. I was I was but I got out and then as he says that again you can hear that that again that the vein start pulling darker in his arms. Hey,
Iona Starling:hey, I need you stay with me. Focus on now. Whatever you're feeling ignore it. Just look at me. Alright,
Snyders Return:I'm okay I'm I'm okay I'm not sure I want a hashtag that I was I was I was in the in the I was in the bed and I got out and I and I got away and now I'm over here and I'm I
Iona Starling:got away he said strapped.
Snyders Return:Again, you can hear the sort of internal affectively trouble fight between this one individual.
Iona Starling:It doesn't look like he's in pain or like he's struggling with something.
Snyders Return:It looks like something he looks like he is trying to beat down or or regain control. Iona Starling:right on down okay they said you had they had you they had strapped you down they they they kidnapped you They kidnapped you and your brother
Snyders Return:and then there's there was this man in lab coats, needles, lights and as the sort of groaning and the voice and and the intonation and the tone very much do not sit the gentlemen sort of now almost it's not quite doubling over. But there is you know that there is a lot of tension in his actions and movements as as these almost two combatting state sort of takeover or try to take over each other. And
Iona Starling:I own up using that power of hers. Um, can she try and control him and try and get him to kind of centre back to himself and get him to talk?
Snyders Return:You can certainly try. This would either be a hate the risk or it could be a stop holding back if you're trying to mean that much to in quick succession. Maybe take take the risk. On this one.
Iona Starling:Dangerous determination. How about a quick learner? If this is something that this is a power she hasn't used too much? Can I use quick learner?
Snyders Return:I would say you could apply that because you are effectively sussing out what is happening. So you are quickly learning something there is something more here than than just the obvious. Okay. Totally controlling.
Iona Starling:Yay.
Snyders Return:Hi. Alright, so what is it you're trying to do?
Iona Starling:If I understand that there's something inside him fighting for control? I basically want him to stop. I think that's what I want. Like, like, than whatever. He's struggling livers. Try and do it. Trying to fight him. She wants it to shut shut down. Right.
Snyders Return:So as you're so what does that look like, thematically from you in the room? How how do you exert that power?
Iona Starling:When she the very power only works on one person. So what happens is her voice begins to echo. And her eyes sort of begin to glow. And whoever she's controlling, can't stop making eye contact with her. They're just looking at her directly. They can they're not blank face, they'll still experience emotion. But as long as she has them in control, they can't break eye contact with her. And they gain a sort of darkness to them. If they were if you want to rip it looks like they have like baggy baggy eyes, but for others is as if their skull arrows are going dark, like
Snyders Return:all right. So as this effect takes hold, and you engage this guy in the bed and they sort of he locks eyes with you and you can see the darkening effects start to almost withdraw back into the arms and it fades in the in the intensity and even the ones on his neck sort of slowly sort of just just ease back into the skin. And as he sort of locks eyes with you. He says a bit She's gonna kill us all.
Iona Starling:Did he say that?
Snyders Return:He said yes. He said that.
Iona Starling:You're talking about you know their name.
Snyders Return:As you asked that question. We almost follow up by an invisible cord and invisible link back to a dilapidated house within the wild Naka state as a juvenile female stands there. black eyes, black veins. snapping back into sort of the room she's in the a moment of frustration. And then we sort of see almost an invisible and almost invisible black tangible sort of starter to sort of reach out from her again. What was your question Iona? Sorry?
Iona Starling:Who is she? What? What's her name? Do you have a name?
Snyders Return:The name is Raul. They were just kinda did suffer off a page. Oh, I wasn't there to know them by name. That wasn't that wasn't my my job. Or was what's going on? I'm Stewart where? Where am I? There was one. I remember there was I was at work and then and then I'm not sure after that. It was there was it's it's all become?

Iona Starling:Alright, what are you working on?
Snyders Return:I was, No, I need to I need to find my boss, I need to
Iona Starling:know. You need to answer my question.
Snyders Return:I was just part of a research group. We're doing some some blood trials because he was nothing he was a
Iona Starling:kid and his brother.
Snyders Return:The research we were just just checking out some of the blood work of some of the kids in the high schools, you know, doing health panels, and, and so on and so forth. And, you know, I've, I've got a, I've got a phone the boss, I've got to let them know. Okay. And
Iona Starling:if you're on his behalf, we got to ask you some questions. You were
Snyders Return:lady. I need to see a badge. You know, I I can't just be giving away information to someone who says they work for my boss. So no, no.
Iona Starling:No, no, no. And the break into listening, would that count? Try and do that? They'll be convinced right?
Snyders Return:I will be a conventional. Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
Iona Starling:And he kind of like to make it work to kind of raise your eyebrows and things. You think your boss would let me in here to talk with you. If he wasn't sufficiently pissed at you to decide that you need some questioning as an attempt to intimidate. And I guess, Benson Deuce people's terror? That's it. That's probably that's probably all gonna get. Probably. No, I missed that. Give me what you got, man.
Snyders Return:He says, as you sort of try and convince, he's like, Lady driven was called.
Iona Starling:That one, Dr. Drake.
Snyders Return:You see the hesitation? I don't say anything until until I know. It's someone I can trust. I'm sorry. And he rose away from you, and effectively just pretends to go to sleep.
Iona Starling:Yeah, if he's broken contact with me. That means the powers over. So whatever thing was playing with him before we would start turning back up again, if it's there, if it's there. So what are you going to do now? Well, if he doesn't start acting up, he's gonna try a little and then say, Alright, you've got me. But you're Dr. Drake. I understand. He was working on something called Project Director. He was responsible for the explosion that happened and for any of your experiments running out. That would be information from Dr. Henry Edwards. I'm not sure if you can see. Is it still there? By the way can I see if he has the black stuff on his arm still?
Snyders Return:Not his arms just the way he's rolled over but you ever so slightly begin to see a black trace? Just up sort of the from the base of his neck around the sides of his Neck. It's a lot more subtle. But it's it's certainly sort of reemerging.
Iona Starling:Right now, you have black veins, in your arms and in your neck that I'm watching grow. So whatever you might have been experimenting with, with your doctor Drake, and this, well, I'm not sure if that was you, but your black plague, they're out, and about now free to do what they want. And you seem to be honest eating and I'm one of those. So you might want to start getting honest, unless you want this experiment of yours to hurt you.
Snyders Return:You see with a mention of project vector three kind of stiffens up a little bit, but he remains sort of rolled over and away from fighting the window effectively.
Iona Starling:Be willing to die for it for your secrets. Because you might from what I know the Black Plague That's nasty way to go. And are you willing to let other people die for it? Oh, my God, imagine if that stuff gets out your family friends make at the Black Lake,
Snyders Return:the door behind you open slightly, and your brother sort of just peers into to look at you. And he says, oh no. We have to go. And I glanced
Iona Starling:at him looks down at the guy. Just think about that. And she turns and leaves
Snyders Return:with as you turn to leave we will go back to refer refer What are you using situation? What are you doing? Next
Rafa:verse. As soon as I hear the sirens, I can only think about the one student and his phone and fucking snitch. Okay, I believe that I'm not far away from where I sensed the black mist.
Snyders Return:You're not too far.
Rafa:Okay, I will kick it a little bit into a bit more serious gear and swiftly moving in the direction of where I am, I will make the school my labyrinths more or less and start and use disorienting trance more or less to make anyone who walks in the hall a bit slower and kind of start locking all the doors I pass by by kind of just scratching are just touching them to give me a little bit more of time.
Snyders Return:So moving through against the clock, the sirens short of getting louder approaching the salt, the the front of the school you towards the back of the building, almost complex building, checking through doors, checking through, through various places. Everything as you're moving through a page to be relatively normal, the only thing that sort of really catches your attention is as you do move towards that approximate area, there appears to be a group of sort of EMO ish dressed sort of Goth types who who seem to be clustered in, in a class but in a in a sort of sub sect of for themselves. They seem to be sort of grouped together, sleeves wrote down, sort of dark clothing, and other bits and pieces is maybe three, four, possibly five as you sort of moving past in this small cluster that sort of catches your eye momentarily. As you sort of sweep quickly the rest of the building you can hear more footsteps now coming into the main entrance and the main part of the building. You can hear doors being opened and lots of smaller footprints as classrooms now being evacuated. As you can hear police radios moving through the moving through the hallways, clearing classroom clearing the toilets clearing the next hallway clearing the reception.
