Hello and welcome to today's episode of Vibrate Higher. So full disclosure, I actually started writing this now episode as a journal entry. This was my journal entry as you know we're at the top of the new year and I was reflecting this morning on just my own personal things and as I started writing this out as a journal entry I really was pulled to Turn this into a podcast episode. So it literally morphed as I was writing it into my thoughts, talking to myself to actually talking to you. So if you're listening to this, I know that you were brought here because you needed to hear this today. And I hope you get every single thing that you need, that your soul wanted you to get from this by bringing you here. So let's dive right in. As I'm sitting here on the first day of the new year, I am not compelled to make resolutions or goals about things that I want to accomplish. I am compelled to get clear on who I am going to be in 2025. I firmly believe that the keys to shifts and positive changes in our lives is embodying the energy of the version of you that already has your heart's desires or that is already living the life that you want to live. Now, this is not to say that you should not be happy where you are or that you should not be grateful for what you have. Absolutely, you should. But let's be real. We all want something. We all want more of something. We want less of something. That is a part of being human. As we evolve, our desires evolve. We want different things and that's how it should be. So So I don't want anyone to misconstrue this topic as though I am saying that you shouldn't be happy where you are or satisfied. You absolutely should. That's actually the best place to start is being happy where you are, but eager for your next desires and your next desires. So if you are listening to this podcast, you probably already have an idea of what it is you want. Maybe you've been wanting a particular thing for a while now and you just have not been able to accomplish it. I am here today to ask you to join me on a journey to embody who the person is that is living the life that you desire. Now to do this, you need to fully understand who that version of you is. What is their personality like? And I say personality because it's so important to really understand and build what this version of yourself's personality is like because your personality creates your personal reality. So if you subscribe to that, then you understand how important it is As you are really trying to learn and build this version of you that has your heart's desires and you want to really dig into who they are, you need to understand the personality of this version of you. So give this some good thought time. Carve out some time. Describe this version of you. How does this version of you interact with the world around them? their coworkers, their family, their loved ones, their kids? How do they love on their significant other or their spouse if they have one? How do they start their day? How do they make decisions? How do they approach, quote unquote, obstacles? Do they worry? Or do they move with certainty beyond logic? Now, if you're like me, in the past on New Year's Eves and the week of New Year's and maybe a little before, I have made a list of goals, mostly things I want to accomplish and Some years I may tick a few of those off the list, but most of the time, halfway through the year, I have completely lost sight of whatever it was and I was back to being the same person that I was the year before. And I think that's the case with so many of you because you aren't actually becoming a different person on a cellular level. And what I mean by that is we, I'm not even going to say you guys, we are We are numbing those wounds with action. That is tangential action. to being. So I want to open space for you to really think about this version of yourself. Let's anchor into this and think through this reframe. So take yourself right now today. Think about yourself in one year's time from now. When you're looking back at a year from now and you are living the life that you want to live exactly how you want to live it, And you're thinking about that in hindsight. How did you spend your time that year to get to where you are on that day? Were you anxious every day? or worrying about the stuff that you can't control? Or did you spend your days learning something new or pouring into your kids, your friends, your family, or making memories, creating a product or a service that will inspire people? How did you take care of your body? What did you eat on a daily basis to look the way that you look today a year from now? What did you have to let go of? What habits? What behaviors? Who did you have to let go of to become this version of yourself that has all of the things that you desire and that's living the life that you want to live? The being is where lasting change occurs versus the action or the doing to accomplish a thing. So think about this. You hear this often. I know that I have. If I'm listening to someone who's accomplished something huge when they're talking about their lives, someone who's achieved a massive goal and they still felt empty, or that when they finally achieved whatever the goal was, it didn't even feel that big because they were so busy doing, doing, doing, they were onto the next thing. They never got a chance to sit in that moment of achievement and give themselves a pat on the back for a good job. They didn't give gratitude for accomplishing that or being there. That is because they were rooted in action only. And so, yes, you can get things by doing that. But lasting change occurs when you are actually being, when you are embodying this person that has the things or lives the life that you want. Now, I silently adopted this method last year, actually at the beginning of 2024. So I kind of did this as my own little like personal mindset experience because one, I'm obsessed with stuff like that. And two, that's my gift. Me doing these little mindset experiments with myself helps me better serve you as my community. And I can tell you, I have seen the results over this last year as I've I reflected back over the last two days or so. I read every single journal entry that I wrote last year just to get perspective on where I was and where I am now. And I have deliberately become a different and better version of myself. So my desire at the beginning of 2024 was to realize the version of myself who knows that she writes her own story. However she wants it to look, she's in control of it, she writes it. And truly every day I operated with that mindset. I trained myself to check in every single time I could. I checked in with her, this version of myself that I knew I was deliberately trying to take the steps to embody. And I made sure we were in alignment with our actions, with how we were thinking. And that actually helped put me on a path to expand my consciousness and my inner container. And that allowed me to hold space for big shifts in my life that were actually in line with my deepest desires. And it wasn't like I was hyper-focused on the thing, the thing, the thing. I was just taking steps every day to be her. And now looking back, I have that experiment to thank for me becoming a more authentic person, a better partner to my significant other and becoming a whole entrepreneur. I'm not trying to toot my own horn here. I'm really just trying to tell you this because I want to show you what is possible when you align your mindset, your and your energy with your desires. So I want you to try this with me. I want you to carve out time and get very detailed on who you want to be. Jot it down however you want to jot it down. And every single day without fail, take a step or an action as that version of you And I'm talking about get in there, y'all. When you wake up in the morning, breathe in that first breath as though you were that person. Embody them like that because you know them so well because one, they're you. And you have gotten so detailed in who that person is that's living the life that you want to live that you can wake up and be like, this is how she would freaking breathe in the morning. This is how she would walk. This is how she would sit in her chair. This is how she would hug the people that she loves. You want to embody their energy and check in daily. Ask yourself how you're doing. Did you do it? Did you do good today? What could you do better tomorrow? How you're going to embody more of that person tomorrow? I want to do this together and I want to see where our lives end up by the end of December of this year. So that is all I have for you today.
