SPEAKER_01Welcome to On the Way. This is Tony Crisp and this is Podcast 1492. Well, it's Friday and it's Question and Answer Day. And today I want to tell you about what's coming up over the next 12 to 15 months in relationship to Israel and your opportunities to travel there with me. I am now getting many questions concerning when I'm going back to Israel, when I'm going back to Greece and the Mediterranean lands, and so I want to give you some heads up as to what's going on in the coming months. As many of you know, I serve as Executive Director of the Center for Israel Studies at Bruton Parker Christian University in South Georgia. It's a Georgia Baptist school, it's fully accredited with SACS accreditation for those of you who care about those kinds of things. And that just simply means you can transfer these credits almost anywhere. And so I want to uh say to you that uh all of the trips that I'm taking in twenty-six and twenty-seven, you can take for credit. That means you can get three to six credit hours depending upon what courses you want to take. And so it's a wonderful opportunity to do what we used to call J terms where you get credit for a couple of weeks of FaceTime instruction. But this is different because this is on site where it happened. Now for those of you who listen to this podcast and you live in other places, uh maybe other nations, you'll just have to contact me about how to uh meet us there and how we can work out your travel. You can always contact me at DRCrisp DRCrisp C R I S P at TonyCrisp.org. But I want to give you a heads up on some dates. Uh first of all, there's going to be a pastors trip just for pastors. More than likely we're going to leave on December the eighth and come back on the sixteenth or something along those lines, either a day before or a day after. And it's going to be for pastors, it's going to be a study trip. It's going to be a familiarization trip in the sense that we're going to show you a lot of the country, but it's going to be at every site an opportunity to study, to grow, to learn. I've been traveling to Israel since 1977, and it has been a real journey for me. Karen and I have spent as high as sixteen weeks a year in Israel studying and researching and teaching there. This is your opportunity to go with someone that has been there before. The people there know me. It's a great opportunity for you to get to know the land, the people of the land. We'll do some things that no other trips do. This is not a trip where you go with fifteen buses or ten buses and you hear somebody speak three times. I teach at every site. We have wonderful guides and they help get us in where we're going and get us out of where we're going and they take care of the logistics. All of that is as normal. But at every site, they introduce the site and I teach at it. And I give you the biblical references and the biblical, historical, linguistic, geographical, cultural context of those passages to make those passages really come to life in 3D and 4K. These are things that are very important if you're going to study in Israel. And so we've got the pastor's trip in December, and then I'll be going in February with a teaching for a church in Knoxville and leading a trip, and there's probably going to be some seats available there, and that'll be mid-February. But then on March 29th, Easter is on an early date this year, March 28th in the United States. The day after, on the 29th, we're going to leave for a trip that's just one of those that you've got to be on because we go from one end to the other. We're going to stay over there until April the 10th. That's about 13 days in Israel. And on the 7th, we're going to go to the Epicenter Conference in Jerusalem with Joel Rosenberg, Mike Huckabee, the ambassador, is going to be there and speak, and Graham Lotz is going to be there. Greg Laurie, Jack Graham. It's going to be a tremendous conference. It'll start about 8 30, 9 o'clock, and we'll go into the evening. And it's going to be just a one-day conference, but we're going to be in Jerusalem, and we'll be staying at the Dan Jerusalem on Mount Scopus. We'll take in that conference, but we're going to see all around the environs of Jerusalem. We will be at the Magdala Hotel. We'll be at the Dan Panorama in Tel Aviv. We'll visit all of Joppa and all of the surrounding areas and let you know where things happen. We will go north and stay three nights at Magdala. We're going to the Dead Sea and spend a night there, and we're going to spend five to six nights in Jerusalem. It's going to be just a wonderful, wonderful trip. And I hope that you can go. The cost of the conference will be involved with that. Then after Mother's Day, we're heading back to Greece and to cruise on the Mediterranean. I'll be teaching the entire book of Revelation on the island of Patmos. We have a place already picked out there where we're going to spend our time, not where everyone goes, but we're going to go and on the island where the book of Revelation was written. That's where I'm going to teach the book, and then we'll be out on the Mediterranean. We'll be three or four days on a cruise, but we'll go all over Greece. We'll go to Athens, Thessaloniki, Berea. We'll go to what was Neapolis in the Bible, Philippi. We'll go to Meteora to Delphi. Those are places that are fascinating. We will relate those to New Testament scriptures. We'll go to Corinth. It's just going to be a wonderful, wonderful time. King Krea, it's a trip that if you are going to follow the journeys of Paul, you need to go on. And then in the fall, we're going to fly into Izmir, Turkey from the U.S. And we will get on a ship and go out to Patmos. I'm going to teach the book of Revelation on Patmos, and then we're going to the seven churches, starting with Ephesus, and then we'll go to Izmir, which is Smyrna. And then we'll go to the other five churches in Turkey in that semicircle. And it's a shorter trip. It's only about ten days because we're uh spending our time in the book of Revelation, but it'll be an intense ten days studying the book of Revelation together, and then we will have our fall TLC Holy Land study tour to Israel, and it will be 12 days. And so I hope you can go. I hope this helps you. Now all of these trips will be up on TLC Holy LandTours.com by the end of August. The trips will start going up the first day of August, which is the end of next week. You'll be able to get on and register, and I pray that we can go together. I'll be doing podcasts from these places when we go. And as a matter of fact, I'll record a couple of them while we are together. And so I hope that this answers some questions. You've been writing in, calling, texting, so God willing, and if the Middle East can settle down, we're going over and get going again studying the Word of God where it happened. There's no better place to do discipleship than where the Lord Jesus Himself did it. I pray that you and your family can go with me. And one other question I'll answer. I've had three, four, five families that have talked to me about just taking a family trip, just a small group of six to a dozen, less than twenty. The largest one was about fifteen. Can we go get in a smaller bus or a stretched van with high back seats and all that? Yes, we can. And I've done that many times. It is uh, I believe, the best way to travel. And if you would like to do that, all you need to do is contact me, I'll work it out, and Karen and I will go with you and we'll show you the land that we love, the land of the Bible, and we will see more in a short period of time that anyone could ever on a bus. That's just the best way to go if you can afford it. If you want to do something like that, let me know. This wonderful blessed church that I pastor gives me 16 weeks every year to study and travel and teach because they look at that as part of the extended ministry of Church on the Way. What a blessing it is to be 70 years of age, my age, and God's given me great health, He's given me strength, for the most part, a right mind. Some would question that, but I am so grateful to God that I still have the opportunity to do what I love to do more than anything, and that is to teach and preach the Word of God. And there's no better place to do that than in the lands where it all happened. For On the Way, this is Tony Crisp. God bless you.
