The GEREMIA project has the general objective of training and supporting those responsible for managing port water through innovative tools and solutions.GEREMIA, Interreg Italy-France Maritime Programme, is in charge of preparing a joint plan to manage port water quality in order to reduce the risk of pollution by wastewater and possible impacts on surrounding marine environments.The pilot activities are concentrated in the ports of Genoa, Olbia, La Spezia and Toulon.The project is carried out by a partnership comprising the University of Genoa, Port of Genoa Ecological Services, Eastern Ligurian Sea Port System Authority, National Research Council Institute for Coastal Marine Environment, Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research, and the University of Toulon.Le principal objectif du projet GEREMIA est de former et d’accompagner ceux qui sont en charge de la gestion des eaux portuaires, grâce à des outils et des solutions innovantes.GEREMIA, Programme Interrégional Italie-France Maritime, vise à élaborer un plan commun pour la gestion de la qualité des eaux portuaires afin de réduire le risque de pollution par les eaux usées et les impacts potentiels sur les milieux marins environnants.Les activités pilotes se concentrent dans les ports de Gênes, Olbia, La Spezia et Toulon.Le projet est mené à bien grâce à un partenariat réunissant l’Université de Gênes, les services écologiques du port de Gênes, l’AdSP Mer de Ligurie orientale, l’Institut pour l’environnement marin côtier, le C.N.R., l’Institut supérieur de protection et de recherche environnementales et l’Université de Toulon.
