We're a father & son who love to talk and argue about baseball! Baseball is the professional sport that has the longest history so there is a lot to talk about. We launched Almost Cooperstown noting that baseball contains a long history of players that, for whatever reasons, have been shunned by the electors of the Hall of Fame. Consequently here are many 'Almost' players still waiting their turn for induction. With less than 1.5% of the now more than 23,000 players in the HOF, we feel there should be more players included. Are the MLB Playoffs broken? - Ep. 440
The 5 teams having the best regular season records in MLB this season - Braves, Dodgers, Orioles, Brewers, and Twins are all out of the playoffs and went 1-13 in the games that they played. Is the playoff system instituted in 2022 a failure? Some think so and we talk about that and how we feel about the current playoff structure and what might be done in the future before and after baseball expands to 32 teams.
Gordon throws out the idea of a double elimination tournament. Which sounds crazy. At first. Also this year's playoff games overall have been kind of boring and there's not much that can be done about that.
