Chanel and Kelsi are joined by mental health crisis stabilization therapist, Nhari Fitzgerald to talk through resources to support individuals facing a mental health crisis or suicide ideation. The group discusses causes, misconceptions and statistics regarding suicide. Nhari also shares her experiences in pageantry and the impact of competing on her mental health.

Born and raised in our nation’s capital of Washington, D.C. but being of West Indian decent, Nhari has been raised to not only embrace her Afro-Caribbean heritage but to embrace every aspect of who she is as a woman. The past reigning Miss Black Florida USA 2018, Nhari's platform as a pageant Queen was: Advocating the building of self-confidence and self-esteem which she implements into her daily life. Her main motto is “High self-confidence is the shield to overcoming all of life's obstacles.” In 2019, Nhari began working as a mental health crisis stabilization therapist where she provides short-term mental health treatment and therapy to individuals in crisis. In addition, in 2020, Nhari became a certified Life and Success Coach to share her knowledge and help others to obtain the life they want for themselves while becoming their ideal self. Nhari has been recognized for her personalized approach with her clients on improving interpersonal relationships, managing a healthy work/life balance, and performing at an optimal level while facing adversity. Through her many initiatives, Nhari uses her passion to be the change that she wishes to see in the world one stiletto step at a time.
