What started as a pandemic project to help the time pass flourished into a podcast reaching thousands of listeners across the globe.
The Pretty Political podcast is hosted by two young women discussing their life experiences and world events. Since 2020, hosts Kelsi and Chanel have been dedicated to curating educational and entertaining content for listeners. The pair breakdown topics such as feminism, entrepreneurship, wellness, and more through the lens of Black women in their twenties. Each episode features thought leaders from various industries as they tackle fun and controversial topics.

Let's talk about sex! This week, Chanel and Kelsi are joined by sexuality educator and researcher, Dr. Shemeka Thorpe. They discuss kinks, wellness, anatomy and other taboo subjects that aren't often talked about. Dr. Thorpe also shares ways to be more sex-positive and explorative.
More About Dr. ShemekaThorpe:
Dr. Shemeka Thorpe is an award-winning sexuality educator and researcher at the University of Kentucky. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Community Health Education. Her research focuses on the sexual well-being of Black women using sex-positive and intimate justice frameworks. Dr. Thorpe strives to make research relevant for Black communities by integrating sex research and community health education.
