The success you want in life doesn’t come without hardship. Said differently, you were going to have to go through trials and have hardship, but rest assured that what you want on the other side is worth far more than any pain you’ll feel along the way.

Most people spend their entire life stress without ever giving a single thought as to what it is they really want or what's important to them. See, I'm here to cut through all that noise connecting you to yourself and the life that you were meant to live. I used to live away the corporate job and I hated it. But I broke through the social norms and pursued my path. As a result, I own my own clocky company, and just something that I need, and I get to travel a little bit. You too can live a life that you like, but it starts with incredibly what you want. It starts with the new distinction. I'm your host, Mani Remote. You are listening to the podcast. One line. Success with hardship. Success does not come without hardship. Said differently, the hardships you experience along the way are the rites of passage in order to get the desired thing you want. Think of anything of value in your life. And think of the the pains you had to go in order to get there. And I'm sure there were times in your life where when you were working towards something, you're like, you know what, this is not worth it. This is I can't do it. But then there was something inside of you. There was something deep inside that said, you know, no, no, no. This is what I committed to. This is what I know I want. I all I need to do is just keep pushing forward. Keep trusting that it'll all work out. You do this, and all of a sudden you get to the end, and you are so grateful that you did not give up. And you are even more grateful of the person you became because now looking back, you realize that it was literally the journey was the result, that it transformed you in the process. See, it's so easy to forget what it is that you were going after, and then just give up before you're like right before the finish line. And the episode here today is just a little process that I've actually touched upon in many of my podcast episodes, but what I'm gonna go over here is just kind of like a reframe on how to say it. And you could hear it a million times, and I promise you, it'll always be extremely valuable. So again, it is this. Know that whatever you're going after, whatever is worthwhile is going to come with hardship. Said differently, you are gonna have to step into fear, right? Because if you had the thing in that instant, you know, you you wouldn't, there would be no growth. So know that whatever you're going after, there's gonna be some discomfort there. So you start with the vision. And then after that, I like to think of the things that could go wrong. Think of the pain points. Some people may be like, no, I don't want to think about that. If I think about that, I'm not even gonna want to start the thing. That is true of my business. But, you know, when I started my business, if I if I knew what the I I often joke about, I I tell people that if I knew what it was gonna be like in the process, like you know, what the process is going to be like, I would never have done it, but that's a lie. There is not a single day that I regret starting my coffee company, starting uh this, the one life movement. And does it come with hardship? Of course. But there is a calling in my soul. So therefore, there is no regret, and that's why I'm here. So again, start with the vision. Look at what the possible pain points are, right? Write them down on a piece of paper so this way you can strategize to one, maybe overcome them so you don't have to experience those things. And at the very least, when you experience them, just to remind yourself how to get through and what you're going after. And the last step is just to keep taking and pounding away at that uh at that objective until you reach your goal. I'm in Miami, Florida here. Um, I decided to move down here last year, uh actually not last year, earlier this year. And I will say that the move down here hasn't been without its own challenges. I thought I was gonna move here and I had this representation of everything kind of just being easy, and it's been, I wouldn't say that it's been anything but easy, but it's um um, it's making me, you know, like I as a result of coming down here and having to deal with different things, there's this like unsettled feeling meaning like I, you know, like, oh my God, there's always something coming up, but isn't that true of life, right? Whenever you're going after your something that's worthwhile to you, there is always gonna be these things that are gonna jump in and try to grab your attention. Some of them will require your attention. So, what do you do? You just keep taking small steps, you keep moving forward. So, my, you know, my decision to come to Miami was the vision I had for it was stepping out on my own, being independent, being in a place where I didn't know many people. So this way I could start making my own way. It was just a goal I had. I wanted to experience that, you know, in Miami, close enough where I could, you know, tend to my business, but far enough away from the influences of family and everywhere else. So this way I could say, you know what? I'm here myself. And then after this, my intention is to bring it to the rest of the world and start moving around in different places. So that was the vision of what it was, right? That's the the goal that's at the horizon. And now I'm here, I'm in my apartment, and the apartment had like a lot of stuff in it, right? I was renting a furniture, I'm renting a furniture apartment for six months, and then after that, I will decide maybe I buy something or maybe I go somewhere else. Don't know yet. But it came with a lot of stuff, and it just didn't feel like home. And I'm like, oh my god, there's so much stuff. So I had to package everything away, and luckily I had a friend who helped me, and we we organized the apartment away where now there's flow and now it just feels good to be here. Shortly after that, there was this this kind of like this mildewy smell to my apartment. I just assume, well, I'm by the water, right? That that's just kind of like the smell here. Come to find out that there was some mold in the AC unit, and thankfully, it is not a dangerous mold, and it's something common with these, uh, with in this environment as well as in uh in that um that system meaning, like in AC units. So now that is starting to get fixed, but it consumed so much time over the last week. And then still during that, I was, you know, I was still managing to show up to do these podcasts, to do my one life blueprint, to work on my workbook, to get the course out there. And I was asked by um a neighbor in the building, she's like, oh my god, like, well, how are you doing? I said, well, be honest with I'm doing good. Like I didn't, you know, yeah, it sucks to go have to go through this stuff, but I I I kind of, you know, it's part of the journey, right? Like if I were, even if I bought my own place somewhere here, right out right out of the right out of the starting gate, I would likely, or even if I had a different apartment, I would likely experience the same thing, right? Because I mean, I live in a human environment, and I'm willing to bet probably like 1% of the people out there actually check their AC units to know whether something funky is going on. So this is just part of the part of the process. Something I had to deal with, something that popped up that needed me to deal with it immediately. That is it. And then there is like the the, you know, the the the I don't even say hardship. I still laugh about it. Like going to just going to stores, there's a ton of traffic right now, but just going down to the stores and um even in stores that I'd be familiar with. I I made the joke of like Trader Joe's, like spending like two hours in Trader Joe's because all the shelves are different and it's much bigger than the one back home. But but again, that is part of the process. Discovering new places, it's all part of the process. And so knowing that, and reflecting back on the reasons for doing this in the first place made everything okay. Does it suck going through what I'm going through right now? Yes, but I'm not letting me get me down. It's not bothering me all that much. It's a minor inconvenience because I'm fixed on my goal, I'm fixed on my outcome. So the only thing for me to do is to just keep moving forward. What about your goals? How do you feel? Like, are you moving towards something where you, you know, you just feel like it is you're dredging uphill. If that is how you're feeling, let me ask you a question. Is this still a relevant goal for you? And you don't want to answer that question in a shitty state because if you're in a shitty state, you'd be like, you know what? Yeah, this fucking blows. I don't want to do this anymore. But I encourage you to look back to where you were and when you made the decision to start on that path. Remember the commitment that you made to yourself before you started the journey. And if that is still relevant, then you just keep going because you can be on the journey and what you're experiencing is just that, right? So you don't want to step back into fear, into comfort, into that safe zone, because then you're robbing yourself of all of the joys, all the experiences of completing this journey. So, and if it is just relevant, then block out that noise in your mind and just keep taking the next steps. One of the ways, or and one of the ways, one of the things that can help you with this is just to have someone who you share this goal with who remembers why you set out on that journey in the first place. Go to them, like lean into your support group. If you don't have one, you can join um the one life community. Um it's gonna be live on my website, uh, but you can go there, www.donnierouse.com, join, send me a message and I'll invite you into the community. But find people who will encourage you. And when you share those things that you desire, it will remind you of why it is you're going after in the first place, and just give you the peace of mind of saying, you know what, you got this. Sometimes that's all it takes. I remember when I was uh talking about traveling, you know, there's been times where the travel, like sometimes the journey, uh and people like, oh my God, how do you you're so lucky you travel all the time? Oh, God, I can never do that. Yeah, I mean, I I I can't, I'm scared to go out on my own. I'm a scared. How do you meet people? Right? These are all these are all things that I encounter along the way. The only thing is I've done it so many freaking times. I mean, I'm 51 countries now and counting. I've done it so many times that I don't even give a second thought to it. Do these fears pop up all the time? All the time. All the time. Like, yeah, I mean, if you're if you're looking at me, watch on video, you see how animated I am. All the time. There isn't a moment where I'm not apprehensive about making a trip. There isn't a moment where I'm not apprehensive about going up to someone and introducing myself, meeting someone the first time. But once I do it, it gets easier because you start to build, I will I build momentum in it, right? I go on the trip, I'm shitting my pants because I'm like, oh my God, a new country, I don't know anybody. Uh I take the trip, I get there, and yes, it's awkward in the beginning. But then I meet one person. And I remember, I'm like, yeah, Donnie, remember, this is part of the process. Yeah, you know, of course, you you may feel lonely in the beginning, but you you always meet somebody. You always do. So let's not worry about it. Let's just have a good time and get ready for when that person comes into your life. Because you know, from there on out, you have a new friend and you're gonna have an amazing time. And then what happens? I start meeting people and it becomes easier and easier because I'm doing it more. And then all of a sudden, I meet like my my tribe, my my group. If you were listening to this and you've traveled with me, you know who you are, right? And then all of a sudden, like the experience is just awesome. But I had to put myself out there first. I had to keep taking action, remembering the successes of other journeys, and that this too, if I just keep at if I just keep taking action, this too will result in the same. But again, like keep make sure that the goal that you're going after is relevant, that it still matters to you, and then just block out everything else and just keep moving towards it. I hope this uh I hope this episode helped you just reframe the hardships that you you may or and not may like that you are gonna encounter, all right? Let's not lie to ourselves. You are gonna encounter hardship whenever you're going towards something that's worthwhile. But just knowing that you are gonna encounter hardship and remembering what it is you're going after and why you want it in the first place will push you past those pain points. And pretty soon you'll be to a place where you won't even recognize yourself. If you enjoyed this podcast, please share this with five people.
