What If One Room Could Replace A Month Of Outreach
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
We break down how we went from sending thousands of outreach emails to booking 20 calls in a single hour by getting in front of a room that already trusts the host. We share the exact system for borrowing an audience, delivering real value, and making bookings happen live without pressure or fake scarcity.
• outreach builds trust one person at a time and that pace is the real problem
• flipping the math by earning trust from many people at once
• finding the recurring room owner through your network and past connections
• making an ask as a favor rather than a pitch
• tailoring the value add to the specific group and what they struggle with
• showing up strong by aligning with the approver and highlighting the host
• grabbing attention by hitting real pain and engaging the audience
• booking calls in the room using a QR code and chat link
• avoiding pressure tactics and keeping the door open with a clean offer
• homework to list five room owners and teach your best hour for free

Why One On One Outreach Feels Slow
SPEAKER_00Last year I sent thousands of emails every day researching the people, writing something personal, and hitting send. And some days I'd get a reply, but most I wouldn't. And then I walked into a room of 50 people and ended up booking 20 calls in one hour. 20 booked calls with me in one hour. 20 people. And I want to show you exactly how I did this because it's not charisma, it's not luck, it's a system, and you can run it to this month. So the big problem that we see with one-on-one is the big thing that's happening that no one's telling us about outreach is that outreach isn't broken, it's just slow. You're building trust one person at a time, and trust takes reps. So if you want 10 clients, you need to earn 10, the trust of 10 separate people 10 times. That's the math. The math is tough. Now I want you to know how I flipped
Booking Calls Fast By Speaking
SPEAKER_00it. So what if you could earn the trust of 50 people at once, or 500 people at once, or a thousand people at once, same hour of your life, same energy, same you. The difference is in how hard you work, the differences in the room, the room you're in. Most people spend years trying to build an audience of their own. You don't need to build one, you need to borrow one. You need to provide value to someone. Somebody out there already has people in a room every month on a call in a group. Your job isn't to gather them, your job is to get invited and provide value to them. So, how do you get together a room? How do you actually get invited? That's the question you guys are probably all thinking. Three things I want you to write down. One is you have to find the person who owns the room. Not the biggest audience, a recurring one. You want to find a room where there's 50 to 100 to 150 people showing up every single week on a weekly call, a monthly meeting, a mastermind, an agency team, somebody that already is doing the hard part. Somebody that's already got them showing up. So you want to go through your phone right now, your podcast guests, your old clients, your LinkedIn, who runs something. And I promise you'll know three people running something if you're in the entrepreneurial space. You never thought of them that way. The second thing is you want to make an ask a favor, not a pitch. Meaning that what everyone, everyone does is they go, I want to sell to your people. No, that's not what you do. You don't say, can I present my program to your group? You think about it from the owner's
Borrow An Audience With Three Steps
SPEAKER_00perspective of how can I provide them value? What can I do that can be really valuable to them? I've been working on something that a lot of your people are struggling with. Do you want me to come in and teach it? No charge, no pitch, I'll just help. Now you're giving them something. So you made their meeting even better because you made them look good in front of their own people. That's the whole shift. It's not you taking their audience, you're improving their meetings. So whenever I do this with different organizations, what ended up happening with me is that I would connect with them through the podcast. When I would did the podcast, then the next thing I would do is I would look to see how I can provide value. What topic can I touch on that they're not speaking about on a daily basis or thinking about? I presented to trading organizations, I presented to copywriting groups, I presented to insurance groups, I presented to many, many different groups. And you have to sit there and think about what's the value add I can provide to this organization. So when I did the African American CPAs of Tampa, I thought to myself, what could I touch on that would be very powerful for them? When I did, when I presented to US Health, I thought to myself, what values do they need? These are different types of people. One's got accountants, one's got business owners. They're slightly different. And you have to start to realize what you have to do to get in the room to actually make the difference. So once you're talking to the key decision maker, you want to make it the easiest yes you can for them. And then once they approve, then you start to provide your value. And that's where you show up. And the third part is you start to ask for the room, not the referral. You you have people in the group that you ask them, hey, I know you guys, like, is there anything we can do here? If you enjoyed me, is there anything that you want to dive deeper? Because I want you to start to realize that all the emails I sent, all the things I did, the way to think about this is you have to figure out what is the best mechanism to connect with someone? What is the best way to do this? For me, it's always been spending time with different teams, providing them value, getting in the room, and that's where it all happens. Part two is what are you gonna do once you get there? First
Deliver A Talk That Grabs Attention
SPEAKER_00things first is you gotta connect with the the guy, the approver, the main person running the group. You want to be talking to them and figuring out what you can do, what topics they are interested in. Because if you know what they're looking for, then you know how to drive their team in the right position. Second, you wanna make sure you highlight them. The person who gave you the place, you want to make sure you highlight them. And you want to make sure that they understand that this is an opportunity and you're giving your best to show it for them. And then the big third thing is you gotta sarcoma people. So it's basically you gotta hit them where the pain is because when they have a moment of pain, well, especially when it's virtual, there's a lot of different stuff going on. So it's like, how do I grab your attention? What do I need to do to grab the attention that you're thinking about? Right. So even right now, you're sitting here, you're going, I don't know, I don't know. Boom, grabbed your attention. How? Because I did something that you weren't expecting. I said something that really triggered you. And what will end up happening is they start to focus in, be engaged, and be there for the entire time. Me, for example, when I present, one of the biggest things I do is I always make sure to engage the audience. Because when we engage the audience and we focus on them specifically, they're gonna show up better and they're gonna have a more authentic experience and give the results that we're actually looking for. So I want you to realize that you have you can do this. This is all possible. This is something that is teachable, it's not something where we're constantly chasing this, it's not a specific line, it's not what what happens. It's how do we actually make this special for us? You know what I mean? What do we actually have to do to make this the game changer for us? So now the part that everyone gets wrong. Most people will teach for an hour and say, reach out if you want to talk, and then you go home. And then they wait and nobody reaches out. Not because they didn't like you, but because Tuesday happened. The booking has to happen in the room. So when you're feeling it, while the laptop is still closed for them and they're engaged, don't pitch, offer. Offer something of value, offer something that can land for them. And the best way that I've done this is through QR codes. So I hop on, I offer my QR code, and then I have the room where I give them the link in the chat. And what ends up happening is while I put that in there, I wait and I ask them if it's a large enough room, I will ask them put the words locked in or clocked in or booked or committed or something in the chat for them to realize that they
Book Calls In The Room
SPEAKER_00committed. Why? Because once you do that, what will end up happening is that that person will have the social norm to understand that they were we're all doing this. We all have to book calls, we all have to lock in on this, and then it starts to get much, much better results. But I want you to realize that there's not urgency. You don't want to do fake scarcity, you don't want to do the three spots thing. You want to make it because the room already trusts you. So you don't want to break that with pressure. So you want to provide a ton of value, and then towards the middle and the end, you want to just offer, keep the door open, and put the link on the screen and stop talking and let them book. And you want to stand there, and that's exactly what I did with these different groups. There was two weeks ago where I presented to three different groups on Monday, and I ended up getting 40 booked calls, and there's probably a hundred people or 150 people in the groups. So I want you to realize what these percentages are, these are massive results, and you're not going to get these results going one-to-one. You have to go with the group speak dynamic. So, what I want you guys to do, here's what your actual homework is. I want you to write down five people who run a recurring group. This could be a chapel, a pastor, this could be a mastermind. It doesn't matter how small. And I want you to ask them if you can go in and present. I want you to go in and teach for free the best hour that you've got and then offer them an audit and just stay quiet. Offer them what you think they might want and just say, Hey, I'm willing to dive a little bit deeper and see if I can help you. And the best part about this is that you just need one room. You just need one, and it can completely change your business forever. So I want you to think now, what presentation am I holding back on? What am I missing? Why am I not stepping into this authentic version of yourself? Why am I not able to borrow their trust? Why do I think that this is impossible? And if that's
Homework One Room Can Change Everything
SPEAKER_00you, where you're really struggling with this concept, I ask you, take the risk, take the leap of faith and go for it. And what I want you to do now is if you got any value from this or you're thinking about how I can do this speaking environment inside of my own group, I want you to email me, Jordan at Edwards.consulting. That's it. I want you to book a call and I want you to shoot an email and we'll have a conversation and we'll see how I can help you, how can I assist you, and see what I can do if there's any way I can assist. So I want to say thank you and I hope you have an incredible, incredible day. Thank you.
