Following a tough inner-city upbringing in New York, his passion for writing and filmmaking has got him through some of life’s toughest times.

His involvement with Black Lives Matter is compelling. 

He has worked for BET, VICE Media, Act TV, Democracy Now!, and produced video for the New York City Department of Homeless Services. 

As an Associate Producer at VICELAND, Messiah has hosted award-winning short documentaries.
