After immigrating to Israel she served as a senior associate with the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee.

In 2016, she joined the Jerusalem City Council, heading transportation and conservation of heritage sites.

Hassan-Nahoum talks exclusively to Jonathan Gabay of Thought and Leaders about Israel’s second full lockdown that coincides with the Jewish new year.

In this candid, ho holds-barred discussion, the Deputy Mayor pinpoints why the Israeli government decided to close down the entire country for a second time.

She explains the particular issues Israel has with reaching traditional communities with health-warning COVID-19 messages.

Fleur also touches on the historic new ‘warm’- peace alliance with the United Arab Emirates,  its implications for both countries and the region as a whole.
