This study will focus on the different perspectives of Jesus’ crucifixion from three men: the Roman governor Pilate who finally sentenced Him to be crucified, the criminal Barabbas who was freed instead of Him, and the bystander Simon of Cyrene who was forced to carry His cross. Their three perspectives of the cross will help us to clarify our own perspective of Jesus’ suffering and death and what it should mean to our lives.
