Hello and welcome to the CueClub Podcast with me, your host, Kev Teasdale. What’s it going to be about? Through each episode I’ll be joined by a range of guests from the world of snooker, pool and 9 ball. From world champions and big money match players to flair and county players, we’ll discuss who they are, how they got there and where they are going. Who are their biggest inspirations? What do they do when they’re away from the table? What is their training regime like? What made them pick up a cue? Not only that, I’ll also feature cue makers, be joined by owners of our favourite venues and hear from some of the top people who make cuesports the great game it is. Having played and loved these sports for the majority of my life, I am extremely fortunate to have met so many different characters from the world of cuesports - some I’d rather forget and some which are simply unforgettable. Snooker Player - Darren Morgan

This week's episode of the CueClub Podcast features snooker's former world number 8 and Irish Masters Champion Darren Morgan.

Darren is a very well known figure on the snooker scene having turned pro in 1988, and through his pro career ( which he brought to a close in 2006 ) he was ranked inside the worlds top 16 for six years.

Darren has gone on to win numerous titles around the world, competing in amateur and Pro/Am events including:

European Snooker Open
TCC Open Snooker Championship x2
IBSF World 6-Reds Snooker Championship x 2
European Amateur Championship - Masters x7
World Amateur Championship - Masters x5
Current Welsh Amateur Champion having won this event 3 times

Darren is still competing at a very high level and has just returned from the Rokit Seniors Q-School having qualified for the Masters against a very tough field.

Join us as we discuss his playing career, in his won words whether he believes he reached his true potential and the surprise of winning the European Amateur Masters title without losing a frame.
