The 5-Minute NP: Kimberly Ottensmeyer

The 5-Minute NP:  Dr. Saray Stancic is a Lifestyle Medicine physician on a mission to change healthcare as we know it, as well as change how medical students are trained. To spread the word on how powerful dietary and lifestyle changes have the ability to prevent, treat, and cure chronic disease, she produced the film, Code Blue. The film also reveals insufficiencies in healthcare today, and her personal story of living with multiple sclerosis (MS). It was predicted by her conventional doctors that she would end up in wheelchair, but when she went against their medical advice, discontinued her medication, and made dietary and lifestyle changes, her whole world changed. She has lived symptom-free from MS for 25 years now! She totally changed the trajectory of her career in medicine from Infectious Disease to Lifestyle Medicine, and she even opened one of the nation's first Lifestyle Medicine practices where she can spend her time helping others live their healthiest, longest lives, free of disease. Her story is unbelievable and the knowledge she shares in this episode is invaluable!
