       In this episode I am delighted to talk to colleague Dr Kim Hansen MBBS ( HonsI) MBA FACEM MAICD.  Dr Hansen is a an Emergency Physician and Director of Emergency Services at St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital and Staff Specialist at The Prince Charles Hospital. Dr Hansen holds a number of other leadership roles including Faculty Chair of the Queensland section of ACEM and Chair of the Emergency Medicine Foundation. Dr Hansen has had a long held passion for and extensive experience working to improve patient Quality and Safety. Leading by example, she is a strong advocate for gender equity in leadership roles and is the inaugural chair of the Advancing Women in Emergency Medicine Committee ( AWE).
      In this conversation we discuss there challenges we face as clinicians in Emergency Medicine at this time with particular emphasis on the need for strong leadership, robust process for patient and staff safety and quality of care, advocacy and promotion of positive culture in healthcare.
